A Few Thoughts
Happy Feast
Feast of the
Annunciation
Mary is such a gift!!
God has called us to help in the building of His Kingdom.
We are to help in the work of redemption.
The best way to do this is to be greater one in Christ.
Jesus is love!
We are reminded of this in seeing the Sacred Heart of Jesus in pictures,
statues in our home.
Trials come that we must pray to be above them.
They can worm their way into a beautiful day, a gift God gives us.
We must keep our focus on Him.
I turn to You Lord, I feel there are so many distractions demanding my
attentions and thoughts and I love my time alone with You, loving You,
lifted above it all.
The picture on Blue Book 1 was a hot air balloon.
Jesus was letting me know, that, when I spend an hour before the Blessed
Sacrament daily, I don’t get down in the ‘muck’ I am lifted above.
I need daily Mass, with my husband sick, I could not go.
Jesus is truly present in His Divinity and humanity in the Eucharist.
This is such a gift of His abundant love and greater life in Him.
It takes a real commitment to put Him first, no matter what.
I cannot have that gift that lifts me above the ‘muck’
without the time spent with Him in the Blessed Sacrament.
Nothing else gives us that grace - Jesus truly present.
Peace is the tranquility of order St. Augustine said.
We follow the order God has given us - God must be first.
The Holy Spirit works in our hearts when we are deeply filled with His
life (Grace) in us.
Life is in Him - first and center stage.
We can get bogged down in distractions, problems, allurements,
self-focus, whatever -
Grace from the Blessed Sacrament lifts us up from the ‘earthy’.
Like a hot air ballon up in the sky.
We must be lifted by Him in this troubled world.
We receive a sharing in Divine life in Baptism and this life is fed by
the Eucharist.
Jesus paid a precious price for this. From His pierced Heart the Church
was born - Blood and Water came forth from His pierced side, pierced
Heart of Divine love.
Water a symbol for Baptism,
Blood a symbol for the Eucharist, whereby we receive a sharing in His
Divine life in Baptism and are fed by Him in the Eucharist.
This is the treasure. So much grace outpoured in the Eucharist.
So much grace when we are there in adoration before the Blessed
Sacrament because Jesus is truly present, no less than the day He walked
the earth.
Jesus outpours His grace in adoration!!
Go to Him and be lifted up.
God I am weak, I need You. I want intimacy with You, dwelling in Your
Sacred Heart of love.
I just get stuck in the ‘muck’ of life without going to the Eucharist
and adoration.
My answers are in this! My strength is in oneness with Him.
We need people praying for the priests, the Church and the world before
the Blessed Sacrament.
Fr. Carter said: Jesus wanted Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus
praying for the priests, the Church and the world.
He said 2 separate hours a week, praying Shepherds of Christ Prayers
with devotion to the Two Hearts, the rosary and praying an hour - 2
times a week.
Called - Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, praying for the
priest, the Church and the world.
I was the moderator.
When order is out of order, there can be disharmony in nations, in
counties, in families.
Jesus must be first,
We need devotion to His Sacred Heart of love.
Fr. Carter says: "We must maintain a deep and efficacious conviction
that a substantial peace will be ours to the extent that we increasingly
simulate God‘s will into our lives."
We in turn have greater peace and we help in our prayers and lives to
contribute to bind together all members of the human race.
God‘s plan is basically simple: through Jesus, we are to love, God and
neighbor. Our life plan must be centered in love and living God‘s will.
Thanks for letting me share.
He is the vine, we are the branches.
God so loved the world, He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus…
Life is in Him!!
Intimacy with His Eucharistic Heart.
Amen!
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee.
Come to me Lord and possess my soul.
I want to have my life in You.
Amen.
Thanks,
Love and Prayers
Rita
Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus
My dear fellow Associate Members,
There is a new prayer movement which has been started under the direction of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. We are asking for volunteers who are willing to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for one hour, twice-weekly. Members of the Shepherds of Christ prayer chapters, as well as others, are to be invited to join this movement.
These apostles are to pray for the intentions given. For part of the hour they are to use the prayers of the Shepherds of Christ Associates Handbook. They may spend the rest of the hour as they so choose.
This new prayer movement within the Shepherds of Christ Ministries is a powerful way to help in the renewal of the Church and the world. The name, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, has been given to this movement.
This is indeed a special calling for us to unite in one heart with His Eucharistic Heart and pray for the following intentions:
Jesus wants so much for us to come and be with Him. He is no less present in the tabernacle than the day He walked the earth. He will listen to our heartfelt prayers as Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus. His Heart beats in deepest love for us. How He loves His beloved priests and religious. He wants us to come to the Blessed Sacrament and pray to Him for them. Our prayers are especially powerful when we are before the tabernacle.
If you feel Jesus is calling you to be an apostle of His Eucharistic Heart, please sign on the enclosed form. Please send the forms to Shepherds of Christ Ministries, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, P.O. Box 193, Morrow, OH 45152-0193.
Please circulate this letter and the sign-up forms. This is a call to priests, sisters, laity, including children. The Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus do not have to be a member of the Shepherds of Christ chapters.
There is such power in His Eucharistic Heart. Let us join one another and answer His call today. Adoration should begin as soon as possible.
Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus will receive a newsletter. It is very important to send in the membership as soon as possible so we can send you the newsletter and any information about the Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus.
As apostles, we will receive abundant graces from God and help bring about the renewal of the Church and the world.
May you know the burning love of His Heart.

Matthew 22: 36-40
'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'
Dear Holy Spirit,
strengthen our will and
move like a Divine breath in our soul, to
be docile sons and daughters of our
Heavenly Father. Amen.

Sorrowful Mysteries

The Agony in the Garden
1. Even though the natural fear of the bitter passion and death was with
Jesus, His love so great for His Father and us and Mary, He did what He
did.
2. Love is stronger than fear!!
3. Love cast out fear.
4. I love God so so much.
It grows with every day I live.
It is first in my life.
5. In the scripture 1 Corinthians 15:
God is all in all.
All enemies under His feet.
6. Love is so strong, beyond anything we even know here below.
7. Love rooted in God.
Jesus wants our love.
I love Him.
Tell Him you love Him!!
8. He loves us and gave and gave and gave in the bitter passion -
because Jesus is Divine love.
9. Song: A Song from Jesus
10. Song: God’s Love

The Scourging at the Pillar
1. Jesus was whipped at the pillar.
2. Jesus was covered with open wounds and blood.
3. The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary sacramently made present.
4. December 31, 2024
The Mass - Lived Out.
So beautiful!!! The Mass!
5. From: Vatican II Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy #47 (from Fr
Carter’s Priestly Newsletter)
“At the Last Supper on the night, He was betrayed, our Savior instituted
the Eucharistic Sacrifice of His Body and Blood. He did this in order to
perpetuate the sacrifice of the Cross throughout the centuries until He
should come again, and so to entrust to His beloved spouse, the Church,
a memorial of His death and resurrection: a sacrament of love, a sign of
unity, a bond of charity, a paschal banquet, in which Christ is
consumed, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future glory is
given to us.”
6. Grace is outpoured!!
For adoration, thanksgiving, petition, reparation.
7. Such a gift.
I think of Christ on Calvary. I think of the Last Supper. The priest is
Persona Christi, what a gift. I just try to pray for grace as deep as I
can, for the whole world, the Church, the priest, and love of God and
others. Such a gift. We take our problems to God, we depend on God, we
pray - our lives united to the Mass so important!
8. Feel unity in your heart.
9. I rely on Him!!
I am weak, He is strong!
God has the answer and the plan!
10. Such rich gifts from God.
Jesus was whipped for our sins.
Jesus loves us so much.

The Crowning with Thorns
1. Jesus was crowned for our sins.
2. Sing: Crown Him with Many Crowns
3. His body was battered, bruised, and bloodied. They covered Him with a
dirty purple robe that they put on top of His wounds. He held a scepter
and they crowned Him with a sharp crown of piercing thorns.
4. They spit on Him and they hollered slanders at Him. He sat, as they
did this to Him, in silence.
5. He truly came into this world, the Son of God, to show us the way. He sat in silence. Think of how we respond to those who come to us with hatred in their hearts. His way is the way of love. We must love all of our brothers as He has loved.
6. The Father created each and every child — so precious, so unique — with such love.
7. He loves us this day.
8. Think of how it is to love so much and to be neglected.
9. Pray to the Spirit to open your heart to the fire of His love.
10. We are blind men! We do not see the love that He outpours to us. We
see little incidental things. His Heart is overflowing with divine love
and with divine life. He wants to give us His life! He gives us Himself
in the Eucharist. Nothing on this earth can compare to His divine love
and His divine life that He wants to give to us!
From Parents and Children Rosary Book

The Carrying of the Cross
1. See Jesus with His hands tied, with a look of perfect peace on His
face. See those men who are surrounding Jesus, with their sharp
instruments poking at Him, with anger and hatred on their faces — such
anger and hatred that they condemned Jesus to death on a cross!
2. They gave to Him a heavy cross that they put on His most precious shoulder. He carried the weight of the sins of the world on His back. This is the love that He has for each and every man, that He carries the cross with our sins on His back.
3. He is no less present in the Eucharist this day than the day He walked to Calvary with His cross on His back. “Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had said the blessing he broke it and gave it to the disciples. ‘Take it and eat,’ he said, ‘this is my body.’ Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he handed it to them saying, ‘Drink from this, all of you, for this is my blood, the blood of the covenant, poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” (Mt. 26:26-28)
4. He peered into the eyes of His beloved Mother and she peered into His eyes. There was joy at the meeting of the eyes, but such sorrow deep within each of Their Hearts. They knew each other deeply in Their Hearts and how she had held Him and loved Him! He saw her in such suffering! He saw her face with tears. He saw His most precious Mother torn so deeply in her heart. It is the love of Their Hearts for us that has led us to this place. We must spread His love throughout the world. He would carry His cross this day for us because He loves us so dearly. God came to earth and was born a man out of greatest love for us! We do not see clearly. We do not come to His altar to receive the life that He wants to outpour to us. We are so blind! Pray for grace! Pray for His life, to know and love all that we do not see. We do not see because we do not come to His altar, because we do not spend time with Him!
5. Mary comes to lead us to His most tender Heart. He asks us to answer the call, the call of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to be joined ever closer to Their Hearts brimming over with love for each and every soul.
6. Jesus fell under His cross. The weight was so heavy! He did not give up His cross. He willingly carried this cross for love of us!
7. It is in living in the Father’s will that you will be the happiest. To His very death He followed the will of the Father.
8. Song: See the Eyes that Look at Mary
9. See through the eyes of Mary. She peered into Jesus’ eyes on Calvary. See through her eyes the love of her precious Son, Jesus Christ. See that He truly walked to Calvary, that He was truly scourged and crowned with thorns, and that He did it for greatest love of each of us. He calls us to come and be with Him and to spread His love to this world.
10. Song: Little Baby Hands and Feet

The Crucifixion
1. See the little hands of Jesus. See the little feet of Jesus as Mary
holds Him as a baby. Now she stands and watches as they pound nails
through His most precious hands into the cross. The anguish in her heart
is so deep! “and a sword will pierce your soul too — so that the secret
thoughts of many may be laid bare.” (Lk. 2:35)
2. Mary does not bear the wounds and the blood, as Jesus does, but Mary’s heart is torn to see her beloved Son, battered, bruised and bloody, and now hanging on the cross!
3. Be there! The sky has turned dark as Jesus hangs for three agonizing hours on the cross. His body is humped over and He is so weak! He gives His blood. He spreads His arms. He gives His all for love of each and every one of us. He truly gives His flesh. He gives His blood because He loves us so much! He was born a human! He was born on bare wood in a stable and now He hangs on a cross!
4. His blood was spent so that we could inherit eternal life.
5. As He gave His life on the cross, so He gives us His life this day in the Eucharist!
6. Song: “I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me shall not hunger and who believes in Me shall not thirst. No one can come to Me unless the Father beckons, and I will raise you up, and I will raise you up, and I will raise you up on the last day.”
7. He gave the last beat of His Heart. He gave His last breath. He gave His all. His hands were punctured with nails. His head was pierced with thorns. He gave the inside of His body as well as the outside of His body! He asks us, in greatest love, to surrender ourselves to Him, for He truly gave His all for love of us. If He loved us so much that He gave His body, His blood, His all for each and every one of us, would He not give us from His abundance this day? He comes with such love. He is truly Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in our midst this day in the Eucharist, waiting for us to come and be with Him. He truly loves with a Heart of divine love. He truly has divine life that He outpours to each and every soul. He wants so much to share Himself with each one of us! If we come to Him, He will give us His divine love and His divine life. He loves us so dearly! We should come for His love and give this love to the world. A heart fixed on the love of God can move a mountain. We should live in the Father’s will, to spread His love throughout the world. If we say “no”, this world will suffer. We are His chosen ones, each and every soul. We must come, be filled with the love He pours out to us, and love our fellow men. We must love our brothers when they hate us and persecuteus. We must love them as He loved those who put Him to death. We must open our hearts, rid ourselves of all impurities, and to pray to the Spirit to sanctify our hearts and clean out the debris of hatred and anger. We must come to His tabernacle with hearts that are open and pure so He can fill us with His divine love. It is in uniting with Him that He can operate from us and love this world as He so desire. This is His calling for us this day. Can we say “no”? See Him hanging on the cross. This is how He loved us!
8. Mary stood under the cross and she saw Her beloved Son as He took His last breath.
9. Jesus gave His life for each and every soul. Mary wants them to know His love. It is only in His love that we will find what our souls craves.
10. They gave to Mary the lifeless body of her precious Son. As she held
His baby body tenderly in her arms, she, so weak, now holds His lifeless
body in her arms, covered with blood.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10 |

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10 |

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10 |

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10 |
