R.
Do you feel the presence of the
Father, Son
and Holy Spirit?
The Father, has a plan for us.
God wants
this relationship with us.
We are here to
grow in our intimacy
with God.
In this Lent we can spend time
alone with God and think of the
presence
of the Father, Son and
Holy Spirit in our heart.
Jesus:
Be alone with Me, close
your eyes, think of the presence of
God,
All three Persons, dwelling in
your heart.
Meditate, empty your
mind, think
only of the presence of God. Make
a
spiritual communion, now.
Take time, be alone with Me.
Everyday
during Lent, morning and
night, empty your mind, make a
spiritual
communion, think of God’s
presence with you, close your eyes,
be
alone with Me.
This will help you to grow in God’s
presence all day, the more you do
this,
all thru Lent.
I went into the desert to pray for
40
days and be with My Father,
practice this every day during Lent.
Being alone with God. Knowing
My presence!!!!

Happy Easter!
I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you
in love.John 3:16
For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
may not perish
but may have eternal life.Jesus lived the quiet life for 30 years and
the public life for 3 years.
God’s ways are not necessarily our ways.
He came in love so we could be with Him,
someday forever in heaven.
Jesus loved us so much He went through
the bitter Passion and death so we could
have “new life” in Him.
He paid a precious price for our sins.
In the death, there is the resurrection!
The Pascal Mystery - Death / Resurrection!!
The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary,
sacramentally made present.
Without the priest, we would not have
the Eucharist.
It isn’t that there is too much suffering in
the world, but so much is wasted,
Fr. Carter S. J., our founder, would say.
We live the life, death, and resurrection
of Christ, in our lives, united to the Mass
in the Morning Offering and grace is
outpoured, praying to the Father, united
to Jesus, in the Holy Spirit, through the
powerful intercession of Mary, our spiritual
Mother, with all the angels and saints, and
the souls in purgatory. We offer our joys,
suffering, all we do like this, (it is the
intention of my heart always to be united
to the Mass going on around the world),
I pray for this, offering it up for the priest,
the Church and the world.
I love the priest and the Church and the
world so much. The world belongs to
Christ, even though the world has been
marred by sin.
The world, the Church, and the individual
Christian are in the state of becoming
more Christic, (that is more in the image
of Christ). We help in this (a pilgrim
Church, a work in progress). We are
members of the body of Christ, with
Christ, our head.
We help build the Kingdom of God.
When we are weak, we are strong in Him,
and grace is abundantly outpoured through
the Mass.
So good!!!
So beautiful!!!
Here is a prayer to say daily “Morning Offering”.
Dear Father,
I offer up all I do all day united to Jesus
in the Mass, in the Holy Spirit, through
the powerful intercession of Mary, our
spiritual Mother, with all the angels and
saints, and the souls in purgatory, for
the priest, the Church, and the world.
We love You God so much.
We thank You and adore You and
petition You for our needs. Amen.
The victory has been won, we must follow
Jesus and walk in Jesus’ ways. Alleluia!!!
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
Follow Jesus, love God.
Obey and love the Heavenly Father.
Pray to the Holy Spirit to infuse in our
intellects: wisdom, and knowledge and
understanding.
Come Holy Spirit fill us with the fire of
God’s love.
Life is in Him!
This is the precious gift, Jesus suffered so,
to give us a sharing in His life in Baptism.
And He feeds this life with Himself in the
Eucharist.
Blood and water came forth from Jesus’
pierced Heart:
Water for Baptism -
Blood for the Eucharist.
Vatican II points out to us: “…the liturgy is
the summit toward which the activity of the
Church is directed; at the same time it is the
fountain from which all her power flows…”
The Documents of Vatican II, "Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy", America Press Edition, No. 10.
Oh God You are so good to us!
Without the priest we wouldn’t have the
Eucharist!!
We say the Morning Offering, thanking
God and praying for the priest, the Church
and the world.
The Mass is such a gift.
I receive Jesus truly present in the Eucharist.
I thirst after this precious treasure.
Praise Him, Thank Him, Love Him.
Give yourself to Him, who gives us so much.
It’s all God’s grace:
“You are the initiator, God, I am the soul
waiting your favor.”
We pray for grace to see what gifts God
is giving us in the Mass.
Thank you for all you do.
“New Life”
God loves us so much!!!
Alleluia,
Praise and Worship God: Father, Son and
Holy Spirit. Amen.

Mysteries of Light
The Baptism of Jesus
1. Matthew 3: 13-17Then Jesus appeared: he came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptised by John. John tried to dissuade him, with the words, ‘It is I who need baptism from you, and yet you come to me!’ But Jesus replied, ‘Leave it like this for the time being; it is fitting that we should, in this way, do all that uprightness demands.’ Then John gave in to him. And when Jesus had been baptised he at once came up from the water, and suddenly the heavens opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down on him. And suddenly there was a voice from heaven, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved; my favour rests on him.’
2. The heavens were thrown open and
the voice of the Father was heard: "This
is my beloved Son in whom I am well
pleased."
3. The Holy Spirit was seen over Jesus’
head in the form of a dove.
We see the Trinity here.4. Excerpt from Response to God's Love by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.
... In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.
The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.
At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ. St. Paul tells us: "I became a minister of this Church through the commission God gave me to preach among you his word in its fullness, that mystery hidden from ages and generations past but now revealed to his holy ones. God has willed to make known to them the glory beyond price which this mystery brings to the Gentiles—the mystery of Christ in you, your hope of glory. This is the Christ we proclaim while we admonish all men and teach them in the full measure of wisdom, hoping to make every man complete in Christ" (Col 1:25-28).5. God has a Plan for our lives. Our Plan
is to live according to God’s will in love.
6. Mary showed us she did God’s will if
carrying a boulder or a pebble.
7. The spiritual life, is centered in the pattern
of death - resurrection.
8. Jesus is the light of the world.9. Sing the refrain: Glory, Glory, Glory Lord
10. This began Jesus' public life.
The Marriage at Cana
1. John 2: 1-10On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited. And they ran out of wine, since the wine provided for the feast had all been used, and the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’ Jesus said, ‘Woman, what do you want from me? My hour has not come yet.’ His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever he tells you.’ There were six stone water jars standing there, meant for the ablutions that are customary among the Jews: each could hold twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, ‘Fill the jars with water,’ and they filled them to the brim. Then he said to them, ‘Draw some out now and take it to the president of the feast.’ They did this; the president tasted the water, and it had turned into wine. Having no idea where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew—the president of the feast called the bridegroom and said, ‘Everyone serves good wine first and the worse wine when the guests are well wined; but you have kept the best wine till now.’
2. What do we have that has not been given
to us?
What do we have that we should be
thankful for?
3. God created us in the image and likeness
of God. God wants us to be in heaven
with Him one day, forever.
4. God gives life. God gives us a free will
to choose Him or to reject Him.
5. Jesus’ first miracle of His public life was
at the wedding of Cana.
6. Jesus changed water into wine. In the
Mass bread and wine is changed into
the Body and Blood of Christ.
7. Dear God, I love You above all, I want
to please You my God.
Please help me now, God, help me now.8. Morning Offering
Dear Father,
I offer up all I do all day united to Jesus in the Mass,
in the Holy Spirit, through the powerful intercession
of Mary, our spiritual Mother, with all the angels and
saints, and the souls in purgatory, for the priest, the
Church, and the world.
We love You God so much.
We thank You and adore You and petition You for
our needs. Amen.9. Oh God, I love You so much and I thank
You for the Eucharist and the Church and
the priest.
10. Jesus performed many miracles in His
public life.
Building the Kingdom of God
1. Matthew 5: 3-12How blessed are the poor in spirit:
the kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Blessed are the gentle:
they shall have the earth as inheritance.
Blessed are those who mourn:
they shall be comforted.
Blessed are those
who hunger and thirst for uprightness:
they shall have their fill.
Blessed are the merciful:
they shall have mercy shown them.
Blessed are the pure in heart:
they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers:
they shall be recognised
as children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted
in the cause of uprightness:
the kingdom of Heaven is theirs.Blessed are you when people abuse you and persecute you and
speak all kinds of calumny against you falsely on my account.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven; this
is how they persecuted the prophets before you.
2. We all have a vocation, God wants us to
help build up His Kingdom.
3. We can consecrate ourselves, our homes,
our work places to the Sacred Heart and
Immaculate Heart.
4. Sacrifice and Love.
5. The family is the basic unity.
Members of the mystical body of Christ,
should love the Church and help build
the body of Christ.
6. Sing: God’s Love
7. Sing: Our Lady of Clearwater
8. God is our Goal: Father, Son and Holy
Spirit
9. Man was created to give honor and glory
to God.
We exist to know, love and serve God.
10. We want to love God and grow in our
love of God.
The Transfiguration
1.
Luke 9: 28-36
Now about eight days after this had been said, he took with him Peter, John and James and went up the mountain to pray. And it happened that, as he was praying, the aspect of his face was changed and his clothing became sparkling white. And suddenly there were two men talking to him; they were Moses and Elijah appearing in glory, and they were speaking of his passing which he was to accomplish in Jerusalem. Peter and his companions were heavy with sleep, but they woke up and saw his glory and the two men standing with him. As these were leaving him, Peter said to Jesus, ‘Master, it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He did not know what he was saying. As he was saying this, a cloud came and covered them with shadow; and when they went into the cloud the disciples were afraid. And a voice came from the cloud saying, ‘This is my Son, the Chosen One. Listen to him.’ And after the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. The disciples kept silence and, at that time, told no one what they had seen.
2. Disciples listen to Jesus.
3. The Father loves us so much.
4. The Father said listen to Jesus.
5. Jesus was transfigured on Mount Tabor.
6. Think of Jesus on Easter morning.
7. Envision Jesus' glorified body.
8. The Pascal mystery: Death /Resurrection.
9.
R.
Jesus wants us to be His
apostles. He wants to live in us. Jesus wants us to follow Him. Jesus wants to minister to the world through us. But we must meditate on how Jesus was. How is Jesus? Do you see Him with the crowd? How was His voice? Was He anxious? How did He live His life? Jesus lived in unity with the Apostles.
For thirty years of His life He lived a most quiet life. Jesus was not anxious. Jesus calls us, today to help in the work of redemption. This is the life that He wants for us. He wants us to identify with Him in all of our actions, to be Christ to one another, to love God and to love each other.
We
live His life, death and resurrection in our lives. God is love. Our primary focus in every action we perform, in every prayer we speak, should be that of loving.
10.
R.
Jesus has asked us to pray the
Holy Spirit Novena everyday. That it is so important that the Holy Spirit is working within our lives leading us, filling us with the fire of His love.
The Institution of the Eucharist
1.
Mark 14: 22-25
And as they were eating he took bread, and when he had said the blessing he broke it and gave it to them. ‘Take it,’ he said, ‘this is my body.’ Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he handed it to them, and all drank from it, and he said to them, ‘This is my blood, the blood of the covenant, poured out for many. In truth I tell you, I shall never drink wine any more until the day I drink the new wine in the kingdom of God.’
2. Excerpt from Response in Christ - Chapter 4 by Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J.
In schematic outline we have discussed the manner in which the baptized Christian extends his Mass to his daily existence. As he so lives out his Mass, he is becoming more Christ-like. He becomes a more perfect priest and victim for his next participation in the eucharistic sacrifice.
42 The beautiful cycle which the Mass contains lies exposed before us. As part of this cycle the Christian is intimately involved in the process of continued redemption. The Mass is the center of the Christian life: “. . . the liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed; at the same time it is the fount from which all her power flows.” 4343.
The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, No. 10.3. Given November 21, 2013
Jesus: I call you to live your lives as devout members of the mystical body of Christ. I have given these writings that men will realize that they are to live united deeply to the Mass going on around the world. Your lives, given as an offering, a sacrifice every moment in union with the Mass going on around the world. Your life, a sacrifice, offered to the Father, in union with the Mass in oneness with Me, in the Holy Spirit through the intercession of the Blessed Mother with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory.
Your lives given as members of My mystical body can help to bring down great graces for the priest, the Church and the world.
4. From the Priestly Newsletter Book III by
Fr. Carter S.J.
The Eucharist
• The death-resurrection of Jesus, which is encountered in a special way through the sacraments, is most especially renewed in the Eucharistic Sacrifice. Consequently, we can see the logical connection between the sacraments and the Mass. Indeed, all of the sacraments point to the Eucharistic Sacrifice.
5.
•
At
the Last Supper, on the night He was betrayed, our Saviour instituted the Eucharistic Sacrifice of His Body and Blood. He did this in order to perpetuate the sacrifice of the Cross throughout the centuries until He should come again, and so to entrust to His beloved spouse, the Church, a memorial of His death and resurrection: a sacrament of love, a sign of unity, a bond of charity, a paschal banquet in which Christ is consumed, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future glory is given to us (Vatican II, Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, No. 17)26
6. • The Church, therefore, earnestly desires that Christ’s faithful, when present at this mystery of faith, should not be there as strangers or silent spectators. On the contrary, through a proper appreciation of the rites and prayers they should participate knowingly, devoutly, and actively. They should be instructed by God’s word and be refreshed at the table of the Lord’s body; they should give thanks to God; by offering the Immaculate Victim, not only through the hands of the priest, but also with him, they should learn to offer themselves too. Through Christ the Mediator, they should be drawn day by day into ever closer union with God and with each other, so that finally God may be all in all. (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, No. 48) 27
7. • Through the Eucharistic Sacrifice Christ the Lord desired to set before us in a very special way this remarkable union whereby we are united one with another and with our divine Head, a union that no word of praise can ever sufficiently express. For in this sacrifice the sacred ministers act not only as the representative of our Saviour, but as the representative of the whole Mystical Body and of each one of the faithful. Again, in this act of sacrifice, the faithful of Christ, united by the common bond of devotion and prayer, offer to the eternal Father through the hands of the priest, whose prayer alone has made it present on the altar, the Immaculate Lamb, the most acceptable victim of praise and propitiation for the Church’s universal need. Moreover, just as the divine Redeemer, while dying on the Cross, offered Himself to the eternal Father as Head of the whole human race, so now, ‘in this clean oblation’ He not only offers Himself as Head of the Church to His heavenly Father but in Himself His mystical members as well. He embraces them all, yes, even the weaker and more ailing members, with the deepest love of His Heart. (Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis AAS, XXXV, 232-233)28
8. • Pope John Paul II states: “This worship, given therefore to the Trinity of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, above all accompanies and permeates the celebration of the Eucharistic Liturgy. But it must fill our churches also outside the timetable of Masses. Indeed, since the Eucharistic Mystery was instituted out of love, and makes Christ sacramentally present, it is worthy of thanksgiving and worship. And this worship must be prominent in all our encounters with the Blessed Sacrament, both when we visit our churches and when the sacred species are taken to the sick and administered to them.
9. “Adoration of Christ in this sacrament of love must also find expression in various forms of Eucharistic devotion: personal prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, Hours of Adoration, periods of exposition — short, prolonged and annual (Forty Hours) - Eucharistic benediction, Eucharistic processions, Eucharistic congresses. A particular mention should be made at this point of the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ as an act of public worship rendered to Christ present in the Eucharist, a feast instituted by my predecessor Urban IV in memory of the institution of this great Mystery.
10. “All this therefore corresponds to the general principles and particular norms already long in existence, but newly formulated during or after the Second Vatican Council.
“…The Church and the world have a great need of Eucharistic worship. Jesus waits for us in this sacrament of love. Let us be generous with our time in going to meet Him in adoration and in contemplation that is full of faith and ready to make reparation for the great faults and crimes of the world. May our adoration never cease.”29
• The following words of Fr. M. Raymond, O.C.S.O., emphasize the great importance regarding personal holiness and one’s participation in the Mass: “Mass, insomuch as it is Christ’s offering, is not only always acceptable to God, but is of infinite value as well.
“But, inasmuch as it is your offering and mine, and that of every other member of the Mystical Body ... we can limit the effectiveness of God’s great Act of Love; we finite beings can set bounds to the veritable flood of God-life made possible by the Infinite Son of the Infinite Father.”
30Yes, the effectiveness of each Mass, which makes the sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally present, depends in part on the holiness of the entire Church offering it with Christ to the Father in the Holy Spirit, including the holiness of the individual priest offering and the holiness of his participating congregation.
• The Sacrifice of Calvary is sacramentally made present in the Mass. When we pray the Morning Offering Prayer, united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, we act as intercessors, pleading to God that great graces be released all day through our prayerful actions as we act in love according to the Father’s will. Whether we are eating, taking care of a sick parent, enjoying time spent with a friend, working at our job, we can help bring down great graces for the world.
When we pray the Morning Offering Prayer we offer our lives to the Father, through Christ, in the Holy Spirit, with the prayerful assistance of Mary, our Mother. Let us pray together united in our hearts in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. There follows a Morning Offering Prayer.
“My dear Father, I offer You this day all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings in union with Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in the Holy Spirit.
“I unite with our Mother, Mary, all the angels and saints, and all the souls in purgatory to pray to the Father for myself, for each member of my family, for my friends, for all the people throughout the world, for all the souls in purgatory, and for all other intentions of the Sacred Heart.
“I love You, Jesus, and I give You my heart. I love you, Mary, and I give you my heart. Amen.”

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10 |
