R. Dear Friends,
I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with
you in love.
We are happy to give to you
God's Blue Book 16.
It is a beautiful season in the
Church now.
We think about our baptism and
the gifts God has given us through baptism.
We receive a sharing in His life –
Our knowing and loving capacity is
elevated in baptism so we can
know and love on a supernatural level.
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwell in
our graced, baptized soul.+
What a wonderful time for this book to
be born.
We know Mary's role in our life and
the life of the Church.
We anticipate the coming of Pentecost
and pray for the Holy Spirit to fill us with His
Gifts in helping us live this Easter Season
with greater life in God.
This book blends the writings I received
and Fr. Carter's writings from July 1, 1997
to September 30, 1997.
The Movement was begun, Fr. Carter, S.J.
said at the request of Jesus 3 years before –
Our Lady's image appeared in Clearwater
just 7 months before these writings and
remained there for 7 1/2 years.
God is a God of miracles. He wants us
as members of the Mystical Body of Christ to
live more and more deeply in Him – in Christ
our head –
We are called to live this life deeper and
deeper and our lives lived in holiness and
prayer can help the world today –
We are commissioned in baptism to spread
the Good News.
If we as members of the Mystical Body of
Christ want a better world – we must take
this new life received in baptism seriously.
As we live united to the Mass we can
help to bring down great grace for ourselves,
the priests, the Church and the world!
It is a calling from God – we must
respond to His call to live more and
more our life in Him.
The Eucharist and Mary our spiritual
Mother are such a gift.
Mary leads us closer to Jesus in the Holy Spirit.
This is our goal – eternal happiness –
Happiness is in God!
Help me spread this message and please pray
the Shepherds of Christ prayers
Jesus gave Fr. Carter for the
priests, the Church and the world!
This is joy!
Christ has risen!
Happy Easter Season –
Let's be Easter People helping the world
as we live as Christ commissioned
us in baptism –
Let's give to the world our lives of love
and joy and prayer –
We can help the world with our lives!
Help me spread this message and the
Shepherds of Christ prayers and
let's pray in one mind and one heart
for the priests, the Church and the world!
Thanks,
Love, Rita Ring and all at Shepherds of Christ

R. Saul, Saul why do you persecute Me –
We see that Stephen was a holy man and
Saul was persecuting the Christians and
putting them to death.
St. Stephen saw the heavens open before
him and he forgave those who were putting
him to death.
In yesterday's message it said – does it
matter if God asks us to carry a pebble
or a bolder. We want to see through God's
eyes His plan for us. We pray for the increase
of faith and hope and love. We want to
know supernaturally – know – God's plan for
us. We want to develop our knowing and
loving capacity that has been elevated through
baptism.
In baptism we receive a sharing in
Divine Life and our knowing and loving
capacity is elevated – so we can know
and love supernaturally.
In review we said it is ordinary for God
to do miracles – God is Divine – God is All
Powerful – God is Almighty –
In the readings at Mass during this retreat
we see the faith of Stephen and his beauty in
how he gave himself as a martyr. We
remember how Christ gave Himself to His
death on the cross for our sins. Jesus is
Our Savior. Jesus died – Jesus rose –
We see Stephen following in the footsteps
of Jesus.
We know the Church grew rapidly and we
see that in the Church many people were
courageous and died for their faith. The
Church grew as courageous men showed us
this example of giving their lives – even
to their death for their faith.
We are called today to pray for the priests,
the Church and the world as members
of the mystical body of Christ. We are
important to the growth of the Church and
our lives are important to this world.
When Jesus gave Fr. Carter this message 22 years
ago – He gave us this message to spread to the
whole earth and to pray these prayers.

Words of Jesus to Members of
Shepherds of Christ Associates:"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.
"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.
"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."
- Message from Jesus to Father Edward J. Carter, S.J., Founder, as given on July 31, 1994,
feast of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits)
R. Jesus also gave us the Holy Spirit Novena and
Scriptures to know and ask the Holy Spirit
to work in our lives.

R. In the Gospel these days we are focusing on
the Bread of Life –
We see how so many were fed when Jesus
was talking to them.
We receive a sharing in Divine Life in
Baptism and Jesus feeds this life
with Himself in the Eucharist –
John 19: 34
one of the soldiers pierced his side with a lance; and immediately there came out blood and water.
R. Through the pierced Heart of Jesus the Church
was born – water for baptism and blood
for the Eucharist.
R. What a gift.
Jesus gives us the Bread of Life: The Word and
the Eucharist –
We are fed by the Bread of Life –
Sing: I Am the Bread of Life
We see these rich readings in the Sunday
Liturgy. The first readings on the Sundays
after Easter are from the Acts of the Apostles.
We see how the Church is developing and
what is happening because of the Resurrection.
We celebrate the victory of the Resurrection
at Mass –
We sing in joy!
1 John 5: 1-6
Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ
is a child of God,
and whoever loves the father
loves the son.
In this way we know
that we love God's children,
when we love God
and keep his commandments.
This is what the love of God is:
keeping his commandments.
Nor are his commandments
burdensome,
because every child of God
overcomes the world.
And this is the victory
that has overcome the world -
our faith.Who can overcome the world
but the one who believes
that Jesus is the Son of God?
He it is who came by water and blood,
Jesus Christ,
not with water alone
but with water and blood,
and it is the Spirit that bears witness,
for the Spirit is Truth.
Acts 2: 14, 22-28
Then Peter stood up with the Eleven and addressed them in a loud voice:
‘Men of Judaea, and all you who live in Jerusalem, make no mistake about this, but listen carefully to what I say.
‘Men of Israel, listen to what I am going to say: Jesus the Nazarene was a man commended to you by God by the miracles and portents and signs that God worked through him when he was among you, as you know. This man, who was put into your power by the deliberate intention and foreknowledge of God, you took and had crucified and killed by men outside the Law. But God raised him to life, freeing him from the pangs of Hades; for it was impossible for him to be held in its power since, as David says of him:
I kept the Lord before my sight always,
for with him at my right hand
nothing can shake me.
So my heart rejoiced
my tongue delighted;
my body, too, will rest secure,
for you will not abandon me to Hades
or allow your holy one to see corruption.
You have taught me the way of life,
you will fill me with joy in your presence.
1 Peter 1: 17-21
And if you address as Father him who judges without favouritism according to each individual’s deeds, live out the time of your exile here in reverent awe. For you know that the price of your ransom from the futile way of life handed down from your ancestors was paid, not in anything perishable like silver or gold, but in precious blood as of a blameless and spotless lamb, Christ. He was marked out before the world was made, and was revealed at the final point of time for your sake. Through him you now have faith in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory for this very purpose—that your faith and hope should be in God.
R. We see Peter – we see his courage – we
see the growth of the infant Church –
We know Peter suffered persecution and
so did the other Apostles –
Revelation 5: 11-14
In my vision, I heard the sound of an immense number of angels gathered round the throne and the living creatures and the elders; there were ten thousand times ten thousand of them and thousands upon thousands,
loudly chanting: Worthy is the Lamb that was sacrificed to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing.
Then I heard all the living things in creation -- everything that lives in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, crying: To the One seated on the throne and to the Lamb, be all praise, honour, glory and power, for ever and ever.
And the four living creatures said, 'Amen'; and the elders prostrated themselves to worship.
R. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain.
We see how Peter stands out in these
readings during the Sundays of
the Easter Season. We see Peter, who
had denied Christ, was courageous and
spoke the truth of Jesus.
Next Sunday is the Good Shepherd Sunday –
R. Fr. Cater loved the Good Shepherd – he loved
pictures of the Good Shepherd – He said the
Good Shepherd pictures always had Jesus with
such a tender face –
Sing: Valleys of Green –
Fr. Carter started every Priestly Newsletter this way –
He said Jesus told him to do this –
John 10: 11-15
I am the good shepherd:
the good shepherd lays down his life
for his sheep.
The hired man,
since he is not the shepherd
and the sheep do not belong to him,
abandons the sheep
as soon as he sees a wolf coming,
and runs away,
and then the wolf attacks
and scatters the sheep;
he runs away
because he is only a hired man
and has no concern for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd;
I know my own
and my own know me,
just as the Father knows me
and I know the Father;
and I lay down my life for my sheep.
R. We see the early Church – some believed – some
rejected the teachings of Jesus and wanted to
"stamp it out", There was difficulty, but
the Church grew –
Jesus: Sing you faithful people –
R. This is a gift
God has given to His people –
We are the flock of Jesus –
Revelation 7: 9, 14-17
After that I saw that there was a huge number, impossible for anyone to count, of people from every nation, race, tribe and language; they were standing in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb, dressed in white robes and holding palms in their hands. They shouted in a loud voice,
I answered him, ‘You can tell me, sir.’ Then he said, ‘These are the people who have been through the great trial; they have washed their robes white again in the blood of the Lamb. That is why they are standing in front of God’s throne and serving him day and night in his sanctuary; and the One who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. They will never hunger or thirst again; sun and scorching wind will never plague them, because the Lamb who is at the heart of the throne will be their shepherd and will guide them to springs of living water; and God will wipe away all tears from their eyes.’
John 10: 14
I am the good shepherd;
I know my own
and my own know me,
R. Jesus describes Himself as the Good Shepherd.
Jesus leads us safely to eternal life,
but we must follow Him –
Sing: We are His People –
We are to learn from this, to live our lives
in union with Jesus.
Prayer for Union with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.
-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994
Psalm 97: 1-2
Yahweh is king! Let earth rejoice,
R. St. Luke wrote the Acts of the Apostles –
the readings come in the Bible
after the Gospels.
1 Peter 2: 4-9
He is the living stone, rejected by human beings but chosen by God and precious to him; set yourselves close to him so that you, too, may be living stones making a spiritual house as a holy priesthood to offer the spiritual sacrifices made acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. As scripture says: Now I am laying a stone in Zion, a chosen, precious cornerstone and no one who relies on this will be brought to disgrace. To you believers it brings honour. But for unbelievers, it is rather a stone which the builders rejected that became a cornerstone, a stumbling stone, a rock to trip people up. They stumble over it because they do not believe in the Word; it was the fate in store for them.
But you are a chosen race, a kingdom of priests, a holy nation, a people to be a personal possession to sing the praises of God who called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
The stone rejected by the builders has become the corner stone.
R. We have been chosen by God to help
in the renewal of the Church
and the world, but we can
reject Him.
Jesus tells us He was sent by the Father –
The Father in His Messages to me said –
Excerpt from January 18, 1997
God the Father: You must obey My directions, the directions given through My Son, Jesus for the unfolding of the Father's plan.
end of excerpt
R. Paul was converted –
Look at all Paul has given us in the New Testament –
Paul carried the Gospel to so many places –
Paul spread the Good News.
Sing: We Have Been Told
Revelation 21: 1-5
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, ‘Look, here God lives among human beings. He will make his home among them; they will be his people, and he will be their God, God–with–them. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.’
Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. ‘Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this, "What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true."
R. The Word was spreading to the far ends
of the earth –
All the earth should cry out with joy for
these gifts given –
The people did suffer persecution,
but the Church grew so much
because of men filled with
courage and one with God –
Here is the promise of Jesus.
John 14: 15-21, 23-29
If you love me
you will keep my commandments.
I shall ask the Father,
and he will give you another Paraclete
to be with you for ever,
the Spirit of truth
whom the world can never accept
since it neither sees nor knows him;
but you know him,
because he is with you, he is in you.
I shall not leave you orphans;
I shall come to you.
In a short time
the world will no longer see me;
but you will see that I live
and you also will live.
On that day
you will know that I am in my Father
and you in me and I in you.
Whoever holds to my commandments
and keeps them
is the one who loves me;
and whoever loves me
will be loved by my Father,
and I shall love him
and reveal myself to him.'Jesus replied:
Anyone who loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we shall come to him
and make a home in him.
Anyone who does not love me
does not keep my words.
And the word that you hear
is not my own:
it is the word of the Father who sent me.
I have said these things to you
while still with you;
but the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you everything
and remind you of all I have said to you.
Peace I bequeath to you,
my own peace I give you,
a peace which the world cannot give,
this is my gift to you.
Do not let your hearts be troubled
or afraid.
You heard me say:
I am going away and shall return.
If you loved me you would be glad
that I am going to the Father,
for the Father is greater than I.
I have told you this now,
before it happens,
so that when it does happen
you may believe.
R. We pray to see through the vision of
the Father –
We pray for the Holy Spirit to come and
fill us in uncertainties and
in strength, to help us to
be united and grow in love –
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus we place our trust
in Thee –
Come Holy Spirit fill the hearts of your faithful –
We love You, God.
