R. Life is not life if it is not rooted in God
Happiness is an inside job
When one allows lies inside of themselves
they drive themselves away from
Jesus who is the way, the truth
and the life
Happiness is found in God
God is our goal
Jesus is truth
To lie drives us farther from God
Jesus is truth
Man was created for God
If one sins habitually, unrepented
he goes further and
further from God he becomes
more and more in darkness
more blinded
distorted vision
He does not have real happiness in him
that only God can bring to a
soul
God created man for Him
The further one rebels against
God and thus goes into deeper
darkness, the more angry,
bitter disharmonious
one becomes
God made us to know, love and
serve Him
God commands us to love Him
with our whole heart, our
whole soul, our whole being
In doing God's will in love we
are the happiest we find
peace even in suffering for
doing God's will makes us happy
and we are blessed by God
we live according to the Father's
Plan we live as children of
God our lives are in union
with God who created us to
love and serve Him and love our
brothers as ourselves
Heaven is for lovers
In heaven we will have the fullness
of life
In heaven we will experience the beatific
vision
Heaven is a reward promised to those
who love and serve the Lord
Jesus the Divine, Almighty God came
to teach us
He shows us how He the Divine
Almighty God loved His Apostles,
how Peter made mistakes
Peter a human creature
But Jesus loved His Apostles
He spent time with them
He and the Apostles formed
a community
If we follow Jesus we work
with others building the
Kingdom of God, using our
unique talents to work
together in love as the
Father commands
doing God's work to serve Him
Why would we rebel against God
who created us?
The devil wants us to follow him
he is real
he tempts us to be willful and
disobey God's plan like
he tempted Eve in the garden
The devil wants to take us to
hell
In hell there is isolation
In hell there is no love
God is love!!
If we go to heaven we will be
wrapped in God's embrace
of love for all eternity
A person acting to tear apart
out of jealously those
working together
can be serving satan
Satan wants to tear apart
people working in love to
build God's Kingdom and
help souls to get to heaven
The devil can tempt a person
to see with jealous eyes
and if they act to tear
those serving God apart
they are doing the work
the evil one wants
Satan hates
Satan is the absence of love
Satan wants souls doing his
work
St. Ignatius talks about the
Two Standards
Our works should be under the
standard of Jesus
working together in love
to do God's work and build
God's Kingdom
The devil works in an individual
tempting them with power
seeking power for power's
sake over authority
Satan can say
"See you better do this
over them you don't want
anyone telling you what to do"
Seeking power can become
a vice and this is a habit
A person gives themselves
selfmaderules to be in charge
over authority hide
needed information for
power manipulate to keep
things hidden, isolated
that are the workings of
the whole operation
like choking the roots of
the tree
Satan wants disharmony,
control, disorder and he
presses on individuals
who give in and serve
him under the standard
of satan
They serve satan they use
secrets they use dysfunction,
force and lies
Where others under the standard
of Jesus live to serve God
do God's work work in
love and harmony and order
doing God's will in
unity under God
Those working under the standard
of satan lie, manipulate,
punish, force to establish
rules and patterns to
serve satan
like abortion
A person serving satan can
put themselves as
slaves to sin
Where one serving God can see
themselves a fool for Christ
Their whole life is lived
to serve and love God and
promote His Kingdom
they see the big plan of God the Father
They act selflessly to serve God
They follow in the footsteps of Jesus
They live, the life, death and
resurrection of Jesus in
their lives
One under the standard of satan
is selfish, disobedient
to authority disharmonious
working for their own
power, their own vain
glory
giving into the deadly sins
Doing the work for satan
Excerpt of The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, by Louis J. Puhl, S.J., p. 64-65
149. THREE CLASSES OF MEN
This is a meditation for the same fourth day
to choose that which is
better
PRAYER. The usual preparatory prayer.
150. FIRST
PRELUDE.
This is the history of the Three
Classes of Men. Each of them has acquired ten thou-
sand ducats, but not entirely as they should have, for
the love of God. They all wish to save their souls and
find peace in God our Lord by ridding themselves of
the burden arising from the attachment to the sum ac-
quired, which impedes the attainment of this end.
151. SECOND
PRELUDE.
This is a mental representation
of the place. Here it will be to behold myself standing
in the presence of God our Lord and of all His saints,
that I may know and desire what is more pleasing to
His Divine Goodness.
152. THIRD
PRELUDE.
This is to ask for what I desire.
Here it will be to beg for the grace to choose what is
more for the glory of His Divine Majesty and the sal-
vation of my soul.
153. THE
FIRST
CLASS.
They would like to rid them-
selves of the attachment they have to the sum acquired
in order to find peace in God our Lord and assure their
salvation, but the hour of death comes, and they have
not made use of any means.
154. THE
SECOND
CLASS.
They want to rid themselves
of the attachment, but they wish to do so in such a
way that they retain what they have acquired, so that
God is to come to what they desire, and they do not
decide to give up the sum of money in order to go to
God, though this would be the better way for them.
155. THE
THIRD
CLASS.
These want to rid themselves
of the attachment, but they wish to do so in such a way
that they desire neither to retain nor to relinquish the
sum acquired. They seek only to will and not will as
God our Lord inspires them, and as seems better for the
service and praise of the Divine Majesty. Meanwhile,
they will strive to conduct themselves as if every attach-
ment to it had been broken. They will make efforts
neither to want that, nor anything else, unless the
service of God our Lord alone move them to do so.
As a result, the desire to be better able to serve God our
Lord will be the cause of their accepting anything or
relinquishing it.
156. THREEFOLD
COLLOQUY.
I will make use of the
same three colloquies employed in the preceding con-
templation on Two Standards.
R. 3 Kinds of humility
I seek God's will
I do not lie
I live to serve God
in the truth
I do not deceive myself
I don't tell "little white
lies"
Excerpt of The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, by Louis J. Puhl, S.J., p.71
169. INTRODUCTION TO MAKING A CHOICE
OF A WAY OF LIFEIn every good choice, as far as depends on us, our
intention must be simple. I must consider only the end
for which I am created, that is, for the praise of God
our Lord and for the salvation of my soul. Hence,
whatever I choose must help me to this end for which
I am created.I must not subject and fit the end to the means, but
the means to the end. Many first choose marriage,
which is a means, and secondarily the service of God
our Lord in marriage, though the service of God is the
end. So also others first choose to have benefices, and
afterwards to serve God in them. Such persons do not
go directly to God, but want God to conform wholly
to their inordinate attachments. Consequently, they
make of the end a means, and of the means an end.
As a result, what they ought to seek first, they seek
last. Therefore, my first aim should be to seek to serve
God, which is the end, and only after that, if it is more
profitable, to have a benefice or marry, for these are
means to the end. Nothing must move me to use such
means, or to deprive myself of them, save only the
service and praise of God our Lord, and the salvation of
my soul.
R. There can be ruthless cravings for
power or wealth of some
individuals
God made the world to be a place
of happiness
God put the first parents in a Paradise
There was a friendly relationship
between God and these
first humans
God would walk with them in
the cool of the evening
But our first parents got seduced
into thinking that there
was something better than
what God's plan was.
And so in opposition to God's rule,
our first parents struck out
on their own to find their
own way to happiness
God still wants happiness for us
God loved us even though Adam and Eve
sinned
God wants joy for us in Him
He wants us to have fullness of life
in heaven
We can set out writing our own
rules and seeking a different
plan than God's
being a rival to the God who
created us and gave us a
free will
Satan, a fallen angel, said he
would not serve God
God expects us to work to meet our
needs there are all kinds
of responses to this in the world
Once again it is opposing God's
will to not work to earn our bread
In justice we are to work for the
building of God's Kingdom
serving and loving Him willingly
with our whole heart
Last night going home from the
Sidney Rosary there was
warnings of tornadoes and the
lines by my house looked
like fireworks going off
across the road
Tomorrow is promised to no
man our
life here is a gift from God
Every day, every moment a
gift to love and serve Him
Then He can call us in when
He wants
torn down trees
We saw one split in half
last night
struck by lightening
full of leaves
across the road
Romans 3: 9
Well: are we any better off? Not at all: we have already indicted Jews and Greeks as being all alike under the dominion of sin.
R. We come into this world
with original sin
In baptism sin is removed,
but the tendencies toward
the deadly sins are there in our
wounded human nature
pride, greed, envy, wrath, lust,
gluttony,
and sloth
Romans 5: 12
Well then; it was through one man that sin came into the world, and through sin death, and thus death has spread through the whole human race because everyone has sinned.
Romans 7: 15-24
I do not understand my own behaviour; I do not act as I mean to, but I do things that I hate. While I am acting as I do not want to, I still acknowledge the Law as good, so it is not myself acting, but the sin which lives in me. And really, I know of nothing good living in me -- in my natural self, that is -- for though the will to do what is good is in me, the power to do it is not: the good thing I want to do, I never do; the evil thing which I do not want -- that is what I do. But every time I do what I do not want to, then it is not myself acting, but the sin that lives in me.
So I find this rule: that for me, where I want to do nothing but good, evil is close at my side. In my inmost self I dearly love God's law, but I see that acting on my body there is a different law which battles against the law in my mind. So I am brought to be a prisoner of that law of sin which lives inside my body.
What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body doomed to death?
Ephesians 6: 12
For it is not against human enemies that we have to struggle, but against the principalities and the ruling forces who are masters of the darkness in this world, the spirits of evil in the heavens.
1 John 5: 19
We are well aware that we are from God,
and the whole world
is in the power of the Evil One.
R. Fr. Joe said once it is to the
devil's advantage for us
to not believe in him
The devil works as an undercover
agent
A person doing things sneaky
against others building God's
Kingdom is helping satan
working for satan, not Jesus
Fr. Joe said once
"I believe the devil works along
with our weaknesses and we
do not know he is there In other
words, if we are prone to anger
and something upsets us the
old devil is in there giving us
more reason to be upset, telling
how unjustly we have been
treated, how thoughtless that
person was who hurt us, how
we have a right to be better
respected, etc.
Take any weakness a person
can have:
laziness, alcohol, lust, greed,
materialism, whatever.
All the devil does is wait for
the opportune time and
move in when we are vulnerable
and add fuel to the fire of
our passion or pride and
we don't even notice him
He has been at this for centuries
so he knows what he's doing
and he does it with experience
and subtlety "
We are battling strong forces
We need God's help
We need God's grace
We need the Blood of Jesus!!
Jesus means Savior
Song: A Song from Jesus
R. We need Jesus He is our Savior
A person who tells themselves they
don't need anyone is
missing Jesus!!
We need Jesus
We need help to fight the devil
We need to be saved
Jesus is the Savior
The world needs Jesus
Jesus has given us His Blue Books

R. If we are looking for healing
or peace or whatever
we must admit first
WE NEED JESUS!!
Without realizing we have this
need we won't really
find Jesus
R. Jesus says
"Without Me you can do nothing" John 15: 5
Jesus says:
I am the vine you are the branches
JESUS! JESUS! JESUS!!
At His Name all should
bow
How could a branch
survive on its own?
The devil tells people they
can do it alone
Many people try to do it alone
We need Jesus
Jesus is the Savior
Song: A Song from Jesus
Isaiah 45: 22
Turn to me and you will be saved,
all you ends of the earth,
for I am God, and there is no other.
R. There is no other way to
happiness and peace and life
that we seek than God!!
Jesus says:
"I am the way, the truth
and the life"
One of the basic healings of
addicted persons is their
"higher power"
THE TWELVE STEPS OF AA
Here are the steps we took, which are suggested as a program of recovery:
1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol,
that our lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a Power greater than
ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives
over to the care of God as we understood Him.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human
being the exact nature of our wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all
these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed,
and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible,
except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we
were wrong promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our
conscious contact with God as we understood Him,
praying only for knowledge of His will for us and
the power to carry that out.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps,
we tried to carry this message to alcoholics,
and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
John 15: 5
I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever remains in me, with me in him,
bears fruit in plenty;
for cut off from me you can do nothing.
R. With Jesus our life can and will
change
Mark 1: 15
The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe the gospel.
Colossians 1: 13-14
Because that is what he has done. It is he who has rescued us from the ruling force of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son that he loves, and in him we enjoy our freedom, the forgiveness of sin.
R. Jesus has destroyed the power
of satan and offers us
new life!!
God allows priests to exercise
the devil!
Most of all Jesus destroyed the
power of satan and death and brought
us new life through His death
and resurrection
Jesus died
Jesus rose
Jesus lives
John 10: 10
I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full.
Since you have been raised up to be with Christ, you must look for the things that are above, where Christ is, sitting at Gods right hand. Let your thoughts be on things above, not on the things that are on the earth, because you have died, and now the life you have is hidden with Christ in God. But when Christ is revealed-and he is your life-you, too, will be revealed with him in glory.
R. We are working our whole life
Praying to the Holy Spirit to fill us
Holy Spirit Novena
DAILY NOVENA PRAYERS
Opening Prayer
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Dear Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus, in union with Him in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in the Holy Spirit. We come to You united to the Child Jesus of Good Health and the Infant of Prague. We come to You in the perfect, sinless heart of Our Mother Mary, asking her powerful intercession, uniting ourselves to her holy tears. We come to You united to all the angels and saints, and the souls in purgatory.
Prayer for Holy Spirit
We pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on us, to be baptized by the Holy Spirit, that He will descend mightily on us as He did on the Apostles at Pentecost. That the Holy Spirit will transform us from fear to fearlessness and that He will give us courage to do all the Father is asking of us to help bring about the Reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart. We pray for the Holy Spirit to descend mightily on the Jesuits and the Poor Clares on the Shepherds of Christ leaders and members and on the whole Body of Christ and the world.
Protection by the Blood of Jesus
We pray that the Blood of Jesus will be spread on us, everyone in our families, and the Shepherds of Christ Movement, that we will be able to move steadfastly ahead and be protected from the evil one.
Healing
We pray for healing in body, mind, and soul and generational healing in ourselves, in all members in our families, and in all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, the Jesuit Community, the Poor Clares, the Body of Christ, and the world.
Prayer for Strength and Light
We adore You, oh Holy Spirit. Give us strength, give us light, console us. We give ourselves entirely to You. Oh Spirit of light and grace, we want to only do the will of the Father. Enlighten us that we may live always in the Father's will.
Eternal Spirit fill us with Your Divine Wisdom that we may comprehend more fully insight into Your Divine Mysteries.
Give us lights, Oh Holy Spirit that we may know God. Work within the heart, the spiritual womb of the Virgin Mary, to form us more and more into the image of Jesus.
Prayer to Be One with God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit
We long for You, Oh Spirit of Light, we long to know God, we want to be one with Him, our Divine God. We want to be one with the Father, know Him as a Person most intimately. We want to know the beloved One, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and live and dwell in Him at all times, every moment of our lives. We want to be one with You, Oh Spirit of Light, that You move in us in our every breath.
Prayer to Be One in Jesus
Let us experience life in the Sacred Heart of Jesus, so we can say as Saint Paul, "I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me...." Let us live, united to the Mass, all through the day being one in Him. Let us be able to love and know in this elevated state of oneness with our God. We long for Thee, oh beauteous God, we love You, we love You, we love You. We praise You, worship You, honor You, adore You, and thank You, our beloved God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Prayer to Dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
We seek to be one in God, to live and dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, our little heaven on earth, to experience life in the all perfect, pure, sinless heart of our Mother. We want the Holy Spirit to move in us and to be united to Jesus as the Bridegroom of our souls and be a most perfect sacrifice offered to the Father at every moment as we unite in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass around the world to help in the salvation of souls.
Prayer for the Holy Spirit and His Gifts
Come Holy Spirit, come, come into our hearts, inflame all people with the fire of Your love.
Leader: Send forth Your Spirit and all will be reborn.
All: And You will renew the face of the earth. We pray for the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, we ask for perfection in our souls to make us holy, holy souls likened to God.
Dear Holy Spirit, we give ourselves to You soul and body. We ask You to give us the Spirit of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord.
Prayer for the Word Alive in Our Hearts
We know, dear Holy Spirit, the Word in His human nature was brought forth within the womb of the woman. We pray that His word will be brought forth in our hearts as He lives and dwells in us. We want the incarnation to go on in our lives. Dear Holy Spirit, work in us.
Little Prayers to the Holy Spirit
Dear Holy Spirit, help us not to be ignorant or indifferent or weak, help us to be strong with the love of God.
Dear Holy Spirit, please pray for our needs for us.
Dear Holy Spirit, help us to respect God and to avoid sin. Help us to live in the Father's will.
Dear Holy Spirit, help us to keep Your commandments and to respect authority. Help us to love all things as You will us to love them. Help us to want to pray and always serve God with the greatest love. Help us to know the truth. Help us to have the gift of faith, hope, and love. Help us to know what is right and what is wrong.
A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul
Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.
end of holy spirit novena
Luke 4: 18
The spirit of the Lord is on me,
for he has anointed me
to bring the good news to the afflicted.
He has sent me
to proclaim liberty to captives,
sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
R. Jesus came to destroy all those
forces that pull us down
Jesus gives us a sharing
in His life
Look at the empty tomb
that is how it is without
Jesus
God has all the power
To let that power in us
we have to be open
Know we need Jesus and let
Him in
Make Jesus the Lord of
our life
Put Jesus in charge
Not try to be in charge ourselves
We open ourselves up to
the power of the Holy Spirit
in us
Helping us
Changing us
Running our lives
We put God on the throne
we get off the throne
We surrender
We let God tell us what to
do in our lives
We seek God's will
We live by God's will
We obey God
Are we afraid to turn our
lives over to God
We give our lives to Christ
We are under the Standard of Jesus
We need help
We turn our will and our
life over to God
Really surrender and give
ourselves to God
quit telling Him what
we are going to do
Why should I be afraid
We belong to God anyway
He will take care of us
We give ourselves to God and
He gives Himself to us
most powerfully
He runs things

God’s Blue Books
God’s Blue Book 1 – Messages given by Jesus to Rita Ring. Jesus tells us how precious we are to Him and how He loves us. He is with us this day, so close. He is a person who longs and waits for our love. He wants such union with us. These are His teachings to lift you up! Tapes are available with messages and songs given from Jesus. God’s Blue Book 2 – Messages given by Jesus to Rita Ring. Jesus is on fire for us. Rita saw a vision of Jesus’ Heart on Dec. 17, 1991. The power is in the Eucharist. The power is released when hearts are consecrated to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Jesus wants His beloved souls to pray before the tabernacle and after Communion. It is in praying to Him at these times that we become very close to Him. His Heart is an endless furnace of burning love on fire for each of his precious souls. He wants union with us. Only in the surrendering of ourselves to the will of God can we be close to Him. Tapes are available with messages and songs given from Jesus. God’s Blue Book 3 – Messages given by Jesus to Rita Ring. Love God, love one another. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. How can we say that we love Him when we do not love one another? Each person was created by the Father. If we do not love our brother, we are not loving His creation. We are the lights that shine in this world. Jesus loves us so much, He gives Himself to us in the Eucharist. He remains with us in the tabernacle, and we take His gift so lightly. In this book, He tells us about His immense love. He asks us to rid ourselves of hate and anger and to love our brothers. He talks about Mary. Two rosaries are included. God’s Blue Book 4 – Messages from Jesus and Mary. How they love us! Mary appeared to me everyday and I knew from these writings more about Jesus’ love for Mary and Mary’s love for Jesus and Their love for us. This book is a beautiful message from the Two Hearts and it includes rosary mediations from Mary and Jesus. This book really talks about Their pure love and how we can love more purely. God’s Blue Book 5 – Jesus wants to be so united with us. He is the bridegroom of our soul. In living deeper consecration to the Two Hearts we can love more purely. This is a book about pure love. It is awesome. It has many rosaries from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Some writings are also from Fr. Carter. God’s Blue Book 6 – Jesus and Mary appeared everyday giving these rosaries. We can receive tremendous grace when we pray them with a candle. Some writings are also from Fr. Carter. This will help you grow in the spiritual life when you pray these rosaries.
He Calls Us to Action – This book is a call to action. He gives us His love and He sends us into the world to spread this love to others. We cannot hold back. We need to pray to the Holy Spirit to enlighten us and to give us His courage to carry out the plan of the Father. Holy Spirit transform us from fear to fearlessness. He is one in us. Minute-by-minute, second-by-second, He provides for our needs. Hear His soft voice all through the day say,
I love you, I love you, I love you.

Sing: Take Lord Receive
Prayer from St. Ignatius
Lord, teach me to be generous.
Teach me to serve you as you deserve;
To give and not to count the cost;
To fight and not to heed the wounds;
To toil and not to seek for rest;
To labor and not to ask for any reward,
Save that of knowing
that I am doing your will.
Sing: Come Holy Ghost
Prayer of St Ignatius
Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from the side of Christ wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Permit me not to be separated from Thee
From the wicked foe defend me
at the hour of my death call me
and bid me come to Thee
That with Thy saints I may praise Thee
For ever and ever. Amen.
