April 21, 2011
R. The birds were chirping once again, I heard
them call me from my bed
The night was dark and yet they were declaring
the day anew
Now they have settled down and the noises
are noises of men
the backing up of a truck
the dishes cluttering from being washed
the day before in the dishwasher
Now I want to focus on the depth of knowing
as Jesus knew all things
The knowing of the whole passion
The knowing of the last supper
The
knowing of the sign
The
knowing of the men who would abduct Him
The
knowing of the betrayal of Judas
The
knowing of the agony in the garden
The
knowing of the anguish of Christ knowing as only
He knew
Men who were created by the Father and would
because of their own willfulness and sin
go to hell for all eternity
despite His bitter passion souls that would
be lost
knowing so clearly He sweat blood
knowing His beatings
knowing the crowning with thorns
knowing the ridicule
knowing the carrying of the cross
knowing the humiliation by these violent men
knowing the whacking of His body
knowing the spitting
knowing the cross He would carry laden
with our sins
Senseless men
Prideful men
Men whose thoughts were of pride and
greed and hatred doing this to Him
He could have stopped it but He
did the will of the Father
He loved
He gave
He paid the price
The birds are chirping again saying
Good Morning, it is Holy Thursday
once again
The anniversary of the Last Supper
The meal so sacred to God
The gift we have today in the Mass
The love of Jesus to wash their feet to
teach us the lesson of the loving
Suffering Servant
He suffered for us, His beloved
He carried our sins
His perfect body wounded by our
sins
He who had no sin took on our sins
for love of us, His precious souls
Love beyond Love
Love beyond our knowing
He is love
Love given freely, like the free gift of
the greeting birds
the free gift of my life
My life He gives to me to do His work
I am His
He knows me
He knows my heart
He knows the disposition of my heart offering
myself to Him today
My love giving my will and life to God
Jesus, my Savior
Jesus paid a precious price for my sins
I need Jesus
I need to be saved
Remember me, Lord, when you go into your
Kingdom
Think of His knowing - everything
Judas' betrayal for money
He sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver
Soon the light will go across a once
darkened sky and the world here
will wake with a new day
The day will peel back the dark curtain
of another night for me
How many days and nights I have sat and
watched like the lid rolled
back on a can of sardines
opened closed
Now you see the dress of springtime
Now a winters cold blast of dark
night
Our days are numbered, aright,
My Lord
Numbered like marbles in a bag
3 white 4 black
How many days ______, How many nights ____
And since this is so, why do we not
hear the birds on the brink of
morning
Why are we clutching such fear so
often deep in our thoughts
choking out experiencing a new
heart of love a new day of surprises
from the King of Glory
Now the sky was pink at the distant sky
but its main sky above me light blue
and lighted with golden light
The barren trees trying to burst with
new spring leaves were still
black and spindly, but straight
and tall
I saw the green grass so plush like a
carpet just laid and manicured and
I remembered the lightening and thunder
that made the wires come like
fireworks just 36 hours before
This same storm and all its rain were
the carpet-layers of this beauteous
grass
Christ carrying the cross, bloodied and
beaten was the one who laid
the beauty of the empty tomb
and the glorious day of the resurrection
Death-Resurrection the Pascal Mystery
Birds chirping today
Frozen days before where they were not
heard to greet another day
Bushes of green and red waking
from a long winters nap
Light peeled back like the lid of
a can of sardines from a
night of blindness and darkness
Dark and Light
Labor of child bearing
Birth of the New baby
Anxiety and then it is moved
like a barren garden to fruit
bearing trees
Barren fields turn into little dainty
wildflowers of blue and white
where once there was the lack
of vegetation from the winter and
at certain times snow sparked
up that barren land
Oh God is the giver of life
How can human creatures abort a
precious child and make it lawful
Oh men you are blind to the real
beauty and story for why birdies
sing they sing like God made
them to do
Why do men try to do things opposite
of why God made them and expect good
results
Clutter is clutter, but some furniture
is laden with direction and care
Why do some men see beauty and
others see folly and suffering
in this Divine Plan as
something to be avoided when
the barren branch turns into the
leafy green beauty of a
beautiful tree, budding with
new life, splendid beauty,
shade and so many good things
that men don't even know
Taken for granted a night so richly
blessed Jesus ate the last
supper with the Apostles
He took bread He blessed and broke
it and said
"This is My Body"
Then He took the wine
Matthew 26: 27-29
Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he handed it to them saying, Drink from this, all of you, for this is my blood, the blood of the covenant, poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. From now on, I tell you, I shall never again drink wine until the day I drink the new wine with you in the kingdom of my Father.
R. Oh God we spread Your blood on
all of us Your saving blood
shed for us
shed for our sins
shed for love
Love beyond all telling
Oh God, thank You for the night
so richly blessed
Oh Jesus thank You for the gift
You gave the gift of Yourself
R. Oh God - the light is up now
Now we remember that night so
richly blessed
We remember Your removing the
dirt from the feet and washing
them in such love
Oh Jesus, we eat Your Body
we drink Your Blood
Oh Jesus - take away the dirt on
our souls
Cleanse us - as You once
washed their feet
Wash us clean
Make this disposition of our hearts
more and more likened to You
We give You our free will
We surrender to Your will
We give You our life
We want to die to the ways not like
You
To rise in You
Light upon light like the
dark sky being rolled
back to the bright new day
birdies declare its coming
sing with your little beaks birdies
Declare a day of the Lord
A celebration
Every moment we live
Death/Resurrection
Suffering/New life
Peeling back a banana and beholding
the fruit to eat
Peeling an orange and the joy of the
juice you made for us
Oh God give us faith to see through
Your eyes the beauty of the
new day, this day
To count our days a blessing and finite
To prepare ourselves for the heavenly
banquet that never ends
Eternity
Jesus: Peel back your hard hearts men
You count your silver like
something you can take with
you
Eat My Body, Drink My Blood
Prepare yourselves for the heavenly
banquet when your souls
can go to heaven eternally
Count your days
A finite number you say
Why try to make it more or
less than God wants you
to have
They thought, at the Tower of Babel,
they would build and be
equal to God
Oh men of this earth the Plan was
made before you were conceived
in your mother's womb
Why don't you sing like the
birdies who do what they are
supposed to
I give you a free will and you smite Me
and oppose the very plan for why
God made you
Where are you running to
I know all things
You won't add a day to your life
opposing the Plan of the Father
nor will you escape your
aging and death
You are God's creatures
You belong to God
Yet I give you a free will
Sunshine and lollypops are yours
today
enjoy this day you have a finite
number of days on the earth
A man went on vacation
He said 7 days
He fought with his family for 7 days
and wasted his whole vacation
a time for happiness and love and
peace and working to build the
Kingdom of God
Rest and Relaxation on God's time
The goal is eternal happiness
Live for this
Rest and Relaxation forever embraced
in God's Plan
Your days are numbered aright
counted like the years of your life
a counted number
enjoy the gifts God gives
Don't listen to an old crow that
wants to steal your happiness
Satan tempted Eve in the garden
A snake to deceive her
I come to give you life - that you
will have life in Me
Taste the goodness of the Lord
Savor your time here
Follow in My footsteps
Obey God's commandments
Live My life, death and
resurrection in your lives
Pray the Rosary
Meditate on My life and the
life of My Mother
I am Jesus, I long to be with
you
Come to the Eucharist
Love our intimacy together
I am Jesus your Savior
