Jesus: My dear people,
Today March 22, 2012, I want you to make available the statues: Our Lady of Fatima and Our Lady of Guadalupe with the glass, so people will honor Mary and pray the prayers as I have requested before the statue praying for the priests, the Church and the world.
Pray the prayers before the statues with glass for healings and blessings for your family, for your country, for the Church and the world. I promise special graces to those praying these prayers, and graces drawing them closer to My Heart and My Mother's heart. I want all to know My Mother's love as their mother. 1 Corinthians 15: 1-11
I want to make quite clear to you, brothers, what the message of the gospel that I preached to you is; you accepted it and took your stand on it, and you are saved by it, if you keep to the message I preached to you; otherwise your coming to believe was in vain. The tradition I handed on to you in the first place, a tradition which I had myself received, was that Christ died for our sins, in accordance with the scriptures, and that he was buried; and that on the third day, he was raised to life, in accordance with the scriptures; and that he appeared to Cephas; and later to the Twelve; and next he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still with us, though some have fallen asleep; then he appeared to James, and then to all the apostles. Last of all he appeared to me too, as though I was a child born abnormally.
For I am the least of the apostles and am not really fit to be called an apostle, because I had been persecuting the Church of God; but what I am now, I am through the grace of God, and the grace which was given to me has not been wasted. Indeed, I have worked harder than all the othersnot I, but the grace of God which is with me. Anyway, whether it was they or I, this is what we preach and what you believed.

Today's Readings
Acts 3: 13-15, 17-19
It is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, who has glorified his servant Jesus whom you handed over and then disowned in the presence of Pilate after he had given his verdict to release him. It was you who accused the Holy and Upright One, you who demanded that a murderer should be released to you while you killed the prince of life. God, however, raised him from the dead, and to that fact we are witnesses;
Now I know, brothers, that neither you nor your leaders had any idea what you were really doing; but this was the way God carried out what he had foretold, when he said through all his prophets that his Christ would suffer. Now you must repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,

Then they told their story of what had happened on the road and how they had recognised him at the breaking of bread.

But he said, Why are you so agitated, and why are these doubts stirring in your hearts? See by my hands and my feet that it is I myself. Touch me and see for yourselves; a ghost has no flesh and bones as you can see I have. And as he said this he showed them his hands and his feet. Their joy was so great that they still could not believe it, as they were dumbfounded; so he said to them, Have you anything here to eat? And they offered him a piece of grilled fish, which he took and ate before their eyes.
Then he told them, This is what I meant when I said, while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, in the Prophets and in the Psalms, was destined to be fulfilled. He then opened their minds to understand the scriptures, and he said to them, So it is written that the Christ would suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that, in his name, repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be preached to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses to this.

A Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
Let me be a holy sacrifice and unite with God in the sacrament of His greatest love.
I want to be one in Him in this act of love, where He gives Himself to me and I give myself as a sacrifice to Him. Let me be a holy sacrifice as I become one with Him in this my act of greatest love to Him.
Let me unite with Him more, that I may more deeply love Him. May I help make reparation to His adorable Heart and the heart of His Mother, Mary. With greatest love, I offer myself to You and pray that You will accept my sacrifice of greatest love. I give myself to You and unite in Your gift of Yourself to me. Come and possess my soul.
Cleanse me, strengthen me, heal me. Dear Holy Spirit act in the heart of Mary to make me more and more like Jesus.
Father, I offer this my sacrifice, myself united to Jesus in the Holy Spirit to You. Help me to love God more deeply in this act of my greatest love.
Give me the grace to grow in my knowledge, love and service of You and for this to be my greatest participation in the Mass. Give me the greatest graces to love You so deeply in this Mass, You who are so worthy of my love.

Given April 10, 2012
R. I went to a funeral this morning, this is what a young man said about his father.
He had courage.
He was a honorable man.
His father always went to work, even when he was sick.
He worked hard for the family.
He didn't complain.
He was a truck driver and loaded his own truck in the day.
At night he had a paper route (the night time paper).
He spent little time on himself.
He was always loving and kissing and holding hands.
But he was a real man.
Jesus: Correction is not the same as rejection.
R. The young man's witness of his father continues:
My father had a stroke in 1998.
But he kept going.
He was swimming at the Y.
He always showed up at the sporting events of the grandkids.
He never quit being happy.
He was always happy.
He thanked my mom for what she did.
When he got cancer he always thanked my mom for taking care of him.
Then the young man said 'mom, I want to thank you for taking so good care of dad at the end.'
I am a grateful son.
My dad was a great man.

Guiding Light homily series - Reflect on the Word - Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement.
