Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary .sacra mentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. History.
God has put us here and we live in time.
It is hard to imagine what it would be
like to be eternally in heaven.
1 Corinthians 2: 9
"What no eye has seen and no ear has heard, what the mind of man cannot visualise; all that God has prepared for those who love him;"
R. God wants us with Him eternally in heaven.
God made us in His image and likeness – He
loves us with Divine Love –
God calls us to a special work in our lives.
Last night I opened the Bible to this is Sirach.
The Providence of God
Sirach 32: 14-24
The sinner waves reproof aside,
he finds an excuse for headstrong behaviour.
A sensible person never scorns a warning;
foreigners and the proud do not know about fear.Never act without reflection,
and you will not regret your actions.
Do not venture on a rough road,
for fear of stumbling over the stones.
Do not be over-confident on an even road
and beware of your own children.
Watch yourself in everything you do;
this is also the way to keep the commandments.Anyone who trusts in the Law obeys its precepts,
no one who has confidence in the Lord will come to harm.

Sirach 35: 1-18
One who keeps the Law multiplies offerings;
one who follows the commandments offers communion sacrifices.
Proof of gratitude is an offering of fine flour,
almsgiving a sacrifice of praise.
To abandon wickedness is what pleases the Lord,
to give up wrong–doing is an expiatory sacrifice.
Do not appear empty–handed in the Lord’s presence;
for all these things are due under the commandment.
The offering of the upright graces the altar,
and its savour rises before the Most High.
The sacrifice of the upright is acceptable,
its memorial will not be forgotten.
Honour the Lord with generosity,
do not stint the first–fruits you bring.
Add a smiling face to all your gifts,
and be cheerful as you dedicate your tithes.
Give to the Most High as he has given to you,
as generously as your means can afford;
for the Lord is a good rewarder,
he will reward you seven times over.Do not try to bribe him with presents, he will not accept them,
do not put your faith in wrongly motivated sacrifices;
for the Lord is a judge
who is utterly impartial.
He never shows partiality to the detriment of the poor,
he listens to the plea of the injured party.
He does not ignore the orphan's supplication,
nor the widow's as she pours out her complaint.
Do the widow's tears not run down her cheeks,
as she accuses the man who is the cause of them?
Whoever wholeheartedly serves God will be accepted,
his petitions will carry to the clouds.
The prayer of the humble pierces the clouds:
and until it does, he is not to be consoled,
nor will he desist until the Most High takes notice of him,
acquits the upright and delivers judgement.
And the Lord will not be slow,
nor will he be dilatory on their behalf,
until he has crushed the loins of the merciless
and exacted vengeance on the nations,
until he has eliminated the hordes of the arrogant
and broken the sceptres of the wicked,
until he has repaid all people as their deeds deserve
and human actions as their intentions merit,
until he has judged the case of his people
and made them rejoice in his mercy.
Mercy is welcome in time of trouble,
like rain clouds in time of drought.

Sing songs of praise and love to Our God,
for God is worthy of such praise.
God created us to know, love and
serve Him.
We are wise when we keep this union
with Him – when our hearts are
pure and we live by His
commandments –
Live by His Word.
We should seek the will of God in all
our actions –
We are to serve and love the Lord –
If we do God's will we please Him,
but if we turn and disobey His
will we are hurting ourselves –
our eternal happiness depends
on doing God's will –
We are dependent on God, yet He gives us
a free will with which we can obey
God or disobey God.
We are accountable and responsible
for our actions before God. We cannot
cut ourselves off from God and think
we can get away with it.
We hurt ourselves when we do not
do the will of God –

The Father's Will for Us - Our Source of Peace
Pope John Paul II instructs us: "The Church, as a reconciled and reconciling community, cannot forget that at the source of her gift and mission of reconciliation is the initiative, full of compassionate love and mercy, of that God who is love (see 1 John 4:8) and who out of love created human beings (see Wisdom 11:23-26; Genesis 1:27: Psalms 8:4-8)…He created them so that they might live in friendship with Him and in communion with one another.
"God is faithful to His eternal plan even when man, under the impulse of the evil one (see Wisdom 2:24) and carried away by his own pride, abuses the freedom given to him in order to love and generously seek what is good, and (instead) refuses to obey his Lord and Father. God is faithful even when man, instead of responding with love to God’s love, opposes Him and treats Him like a rival, deluding himself and relying on his own power, with the resulting break of relationship with the One who created him. In spite of this transgression on man’s part, God remains faithful in love.
"It is certainly true that the story of the Garden of Eden makes us think about the tragic consequences of rejecting the Father, which becomes evident in man’s inner disorder and in the breakdown of harmony between man and woman, brother and brother (see Genesis 3:12 ff; 4:1-16). Also significant is the Gospel parable of the two brothers (the parable of the ‘prodigal son’; see Luke 15:11-32) who, in different ways, distance themselves from their father and cause a rift between them. Refusal of God’s fatherly love and of His loving gifts is always at the root of humanity’s divisions.
"But we know that God…like the father in the parable (of the prodigal son), does not close His heart to any of His children. He waits for them, looks for them, goes to meet them at the place where the refusal of communion imprisons them in isolation and division. He calls them to gather about His table in the joy of the feast of forgiveness and reconciliation.
"This initiative on God’s part is made concrete and manifest in the redemptive act of Christ, which radiates through the world by means of the ministry of the Church." 13

R. We are commanded by God to love Him
and love our neighbor as ourselves.
God wants our eternal happiness, but
we have a free will to reject God and
do what we want turning our back
on God.
God loves us. God wants us to
have His presence in us. He gives
us baptism which is a sharing in
His life.
God gives us insights to know His will.
Why would we make ourselves a rival to
God's will like Adam and Eve, like Pope John Paul II
said. Why do some declare WAR against a Good
God who loves them and wants them
eternally with Him in heaven.
Our ultimate goal needs to be eternal salvation
with God in heaven. In all our actions
we perform - we ultimately operate
to do the best job we can for God and
to see our actions so we can be
eternally happy with God in heaven –
SOME - DAY –
A lover goes out of HIMSELF –
A lover gives love for the good of the others –
What we love – someone said – is what we
spend our time on – give our energy to –
God is the source of love – God
wants to dwell in our hearts in
love. God wants to operate in us
in love and we need to open our
hearts and trust God and ask Him to
come and possess our soul.
Prayer for Union with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.
