   Now, the snake was the most subtle of all the wild animals that Yahweh God had made. It asked the woman, ‘Did God really say you were not to eat from any of the trees in the garden?’ The woman answered the snake, ‘We may eat the fruit of the trees in the garden. But of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden God said, "You must not eat it, nor touch it, under pain of death." ’ Then the snake said to the woman, ‘No! You will not die!                         Cain killed Abel because of jealousy.
                        God warned about satan lurking at the

The man had intercourse with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain. ‘I have acquired a man with the help of Yahweh,’ she said. She gave birth to a second child, Abel, the brother of Cain. Now Abel became a shepherd and kept flocks, while Cain tilled the soil. Time passed and Cain brought some of the produce of the soil as an offering for Yahweh, while Abel for his part brought the first–born of his flock and some of their fat as well. Jesus speaks: My dear child, if you stay close to Me, then I live in you and you live in Me. I am He Who created you and I love you with such an intensity that you will never know. My words are your truth. You must abide in My heart in all things. There is no room for doubt. My ways are steadfast, direct, and without error.

                        Are we told to examine our consciences

                        Is confession readily available?

                        So much grace is given when one

                        Mary told me every day the last 9 months —
                            she appeared daily January - September 1995 —
                            to reach the children with the rosary.

                        She wanted us to send the school rosary
                            program to the schools.

                            on the 5ths for 2 and 1/2 years
                            Jesus appeared 12 days before Mary
                            appeared in Clearwater to me
                            in Holy Cross-Immaculata where

Messenger:     When Mary appeared to me daily for 14
                            months, the daily apparitions ended
                            when they kicked me out of the
                            Holy Spirit Center, by the lay discernment
                            board saying — you can say Our Father's,
                            Hail Mary's, Glory Be's, but not the
                            Shepherds of Christ Prayers or anything
                            else can go on.

                            Later the priest told Fr. Carter we could
                        say the red prayer manual, just
                        not this prayer

Messenger:     because it asked
                        for money and he believed Jesus wouldn't
                        do that.

                        Fr. Carter said leave the Holy Spirit Center —
                        "Jesus told me how to say these prayers
                            and nobody can tell me to alter them" —
                            so we left and that officially ended
                            Mary's daily visits for me and then
                            she appeared in Clearwater.

                        I remember crying to Jesus in '95 why don't
                            you do something send a miracle so
                            they would believe. I was crying and felt
                            like I had swords in my heart because
                            I couldn't get anywhere with the
                            school rosary program as Mary asked
                            for daily. They focused on me and what
                            was wrong with me as a messenger and
                            wouldn't listen to the messages to
                            get the rosaries in the schools.

                        Now 9 years later, I still cry the voice
                            of Mary begging for the rosaries
                            for the schools for the month of
                            May. I think now we need 11,000
                            rosaries and monies for mailing and printing
                            the consecration cards, rosary parts
                            etc.

‘Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.’

The true Christian is imbued with consciousness of others. That is to say, the true Christian is keenly aware that, to a great degree, God intends each of us to press on toward maturity in the spiritual life through a proper encounter with others. Indeed, the Christian imperative reminds us that we are to walk life's path, not in isolation, but hand in hand with our fellow human beings...

Here, then, we see the profound interaction between the three awarenesses and loves—awareness and love of God, self, and neighbor.

Definition of Love

The definition of love used by Father Carter is as follows.

Love is the gift of self to promote the true good of those loved. He states the reception of love is the receiving of the gift of the other, so my good will be promoted. 

1 Corinthians 13: 1-13  

Though I command languages both human and angelic—if I speak without love, I am no more than a gong booming or a cymbal clashing. And though I have the power of prophecy, to penetrate all mysteries and knowledge, and though I have all the faith necessary to move mountains—if I am without love, I am nothing. Though I should give away to the poor all that I possess, and even give up my body to be burned—if I am without love, it will do me no good whatever. 

    Love is always patient and kind; love is never jealous; love is not boastful or conceited, it is never rude and never seeks its own advantage, it does not take offence or store up grievances. Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but finds its joy in the truth. It is always ready to make allowances, to trust, to hope and to endure whatever comes. 

    Love never comes to an end. But if there are prophecies, they will be done away with; if tongues, they will fall silent; and if knowledge, it will be done away with. For we know only imperfectly, and we prophesy imperfectly; but once perfection comes, all imperfect things will be done away with. When I was a child, I used to talk like a child, and see things as a child does, and think like a child; but now that I have become an adult, I have finished with all childish ways. Now we see only reflections in a mirror, mere riddles, but then we shall be seeing face to face. Now I can know only imperfectly; but then I shall know just as fully as I am myself known. 

    As it is, these remain: faith, hope and love, the three of them; and the greatest of them is love.

place, which here is to behold myself standing in the 
presence of God our Lord and of His angels and saints, 
who intercede for me.

233. SECOND PRELUDE. This is to ask for what I desire. 
Here it will be to ask for an intimate knowledge of the 
many blessings received, that filled with gratitude for 
all, I may in all things love and serve the Divine 
Majesty.

234. FIRST POINT. This is to recall to mind the blessings 
of creation and redemption, and the special favors 
I have received.
    I will ponder with great affection how much God 
our Lord has done for me, and how much He has given 
me of what He possesses, and finally, how much, as far 
as He can, the same Lord desires to give Himself to 
me according to His divine decrees.

Jesus speaks:      Imagine your own graced soul —

                            the working of satan in your
                            lives.

                        Satan wants relationships that block
                            your union with Me.

                        I want you to work in healthy relationships
                            with one another.

                        Satan will try to tempt people to have
                            relationships against God's will.
                            Satan works in relationships to
                            create division, to block communication,
                            to stop harmony and love.

                        Satan wants people to relate to others
                            dysfunctionally.

                        Satan wants power struggles and
                            control measures used in relationships
                            to block healthy structure.

Relationships — MARRIED - SISTERS - BROTHERS - PRIESTS

Messenger:            Intimacy between a husband and a wife
                        is an exchange of love in which hopefully
                        oneness becomes ever greater. In marital
                        love the spouses work toward greater
                        oneness, hopefully, exchanging 
                        ideas, trying to understand one another's
                        feelings and dreams sharing a special
                        romantic relationship to grow in
                        greater oneness.

                            Servants, handmaids, sisters, brothers
                        have a special relationship with Christ.
                        They come from a place of strength, they
                        rely on His love, they don't come from a
                        place where they need to have the love
                        of another intimate other to live
                        a happy life. They can share deeply their
                        feelings with Jesus. 

                            A child needs the love of their parents.
                        In dysfunctional homes there can be
                        many relationships where people try to
                        make others needy — dependent on them when
                        this is not necessary.

                            Some "friend" may try to mother their
                        other friend trying to be the "smart" one
                        keeping the one underneath — needy.

                            In community life a person who is
                        dysfunctional can go from home to home
                        creating dysfunction as they try to
                        make others dependent on them. They
                        raise themselves above others and
                        look down on some weak person
                        telling them they can be
                        "fixed" if they listen to them. "Mothers" —
                        needy children.

                            A person that is dysfunctional this way
                        sees themselves as a "big helper", a
                        "mother-type" and they have to find a
                        person with a problem to "mother" or
                        fix. It gives them a feeling of superiority
                        over the other and usually comes from
                        insecurity on their part themselves.

                            A person can join a religious organization
                        as a sister, or brother and expect to have
                        a "saragot" husband or wife there. They
                        may want a relationship with those
                        over them, or from the institution where
                        they expect them to fill all their
                        unmet childhood needs and work out
                        their unfinished conflicts from the
                        past, once and for all in new relationships.

                            A person entering a convent or monastery
                        enters to be a special spouse of Christ.
                        They come from a place of strength. A community
                        will not be healthy if very dependent
                        or controlling persons come in and
                        have these needy - survivor - rescuer
                        relationships going on. Co-dependent —
                        dysfunctional.

                            Sometimes a person who has entered
                        a religious order and having a relationship
                        with the person of the opposite sex will
                        have relationships of division and fighting
                        because romantic ones, they know, are improper
                        and they would rather have a divided
                        one than none at all.

                            Some people in relationships with
                        married partners who do not share a
                        close loving relationship — fight,
                        just to have some relationship at all.

                            People relate in all kinds of ways —
                        many ways are very dysfunctional,
                        controlling, codependent, rescuing,
                        manipulating, passive-aggressive —
                        just to be in control.

                            It becomes habitual for some in
                        some relationships and in serious
                        matters at work one may have to play
                        a sick dance of wasting time because
                        the other is in such a habit of getting
                        control in passive-aggressive ways.

                            The dance people play. Mary Lou
                        had to get a man at work to do an
                        important task. He was used to playing
                        games with her and was weak on
                        asking others for the needed work to
                        be done.

                            Mary Lou felt as if she danced to
                        get a job accomplished with that
                        man, until she dropped to the
                        ground yelling to get a serious
                        job accomplished. He was passively-
                        aggressive by his actions. She was
                        a woman over him and he liked
                        the control he had when she needed
                        the job done. So she had to fight
                        and do the dance till finally from
                        exhaustion she fell to the floor
                        screaming and that was the only
                        way the job ever was done because
                        it was his habit to do it this way.

                            Mary Lou had a woman under her
                        who had the attitude "I can get
                        the job done" No games were played
                        and the job was completed immediately —
                        effectively.

                            Bad habits, are bad habits.

                            Two people married and lived
                        together many years, they had a loving
                        mature relationship, both worked
                        in mutual love.

                            Two people married one was alcoholic
                        they functioned but very dysfunctionally
                        they were co-dependent, the family
                        was sick.

                            Two people married one was
                        unable to have intimate relationships
                        and never worked toward giving-and-
                        taking — the marriage was very
                        dysfunctional.

                            When people enter a convent, they
                        cannot enter to have some co-dependent,
                        dysfunctional relationship or they may
                        make the community dysfunctional.

                            Children need parents.

                            Adults in a community do not
                        need sick-others making "babies"
                        out of religious brothers who are
                        30 or 60 year old men.

                            Because of ones own insecurity
                        and/or need to control one person
                        can try to force their rescuing
                        tactics on others.

                            A person who is very strong willed,
                        whether in charge or not, if not
                        willing to live by the structure will
                        literally fight for dominance and
                        if 7 people are there in a community —
                        life can be miserable for a willful
                        person "opting" for the controlling seat.

                            People who enter religious communities
                        may force or try to force, mother-daughter,
                        mother-son relationships on others if they
                        can't have a boy-friend or husband.

                            A person entering a community
                        does so to have a special relationship
                        with Jesus as their husband. They
                        do not try to force other dysfunctional
                        dependent relationships to make
                        others needy and under them.

                            Some people have so much
                        pride they have to change jobs
                        that are easy so they can be the
                        "hero" and "rescuer" and then they
                        think everyone will recognize
                        them as SUPREME — "smarter-
                        than-all".

                            Dear God help us to work the
                        principles of the Ignatius retreat —
                        Purity of intention —
                        not for pride and selfish gain for
                        pleasure

                        Help us God to let go of
                        inordinate-attachments —
                        greed, jealousy, envy, pride
                        etc.

                        Help us to have healthy relationships —
                            Relationships God wants —
                            Relationships according to God's will —

                        When we cannot do something
                            about a relationship because
                            of a certain reason —
                            direct us to act according
                            to God's will —
                            not act dysfunctionally or
                            unlovingly because of
                            others —

                        Help us build the bridge —
                        Help us to be as You desire —
                        Help us to live according
                            to our vocation —

                        Help us God

Prayer for Union with Jesus

    Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
