Pray for Special Intentions
Consecration Prayer for Peace
I consecrate Russia and the Ukraine to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I further consecrate the priests, the Church and the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I do this in the name of Jesus in as far as I am able, united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory through the powerful intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace. Amen.
I further consecrate myself, all members of my family and ask the Holy Spirit to fill us. I spread the Blood of Jesus on all above, I cast the devil into hell away from all of us and consecrate all persons, in as far as I am able, to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart.
Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. God wants us to be a light,
to witness in our life before
others.
We were uniquely created
by God.
God wants us to be faithful
to Him.
We are to shine before
others.
God wants us to be a light.
Jesus is the Light of the
world.
We must put God first in our life.
We must be humble.
God created us uniquely to
be a witness before others
through our lives, given for
Him.
God has a plan! We must
seek this plan and be
willing to live His plan, the
best we can do. We must
live to be the best we can
for Him.
Come to me Lord and
possess my soul. Come
into my heart and permeate
my soul. Help me to sit in
silence with You and fill my
heart.
I am yours Lord, I love You, I
want to have my life in You.
Is Jesus first, really first in
our life? Do we live to do
what He wants? Surrender
to God’s plan, it is the best
plan for us, happiness lies
in this.
Who is really first in our life?
Do we honestly live first for
Jesus, bridegroom of our
soul?
When we are loving we are
like Jesus.
When we put ourselves
first, we become more and
more selfish, and that leads
to emptiness, we can be
very unhappy and feel very
lonely as we compete in
selfishness to get ahead.
God calls us to serve and
love Him with all our hearts.
To be a witness, a light.
With God we have nothing
to fear.
Put God first.
With God there is light and
happiness.
With God, we have nothing
to fear.

Sorrowful Mysteries in Thanksgiving
The Agony in the Garden
1. Luke 22: 39-46
The Mount of Olives
He then left to make his way as usual to the Mount of Olives, with the disciples following. When he reached the place he said to them, ‘Pray not to be put to the test.’
Then he withdrew from them, about a stone’s throw away, and knelt down and prayed. ‘Father,’ he said, ‘if you are willing, take this cup away from me. Nevertheless, let your will be done, not mine.’ Then an angel appeared to him, coming from heaven to give him strength. In his anguish he prayed even more earnestly, and his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood. When he rose from prayer he went to the disciples and found them sleeping for sheer grief. And he said to them, ‘Why are you asleep? Get up and pray not to be put to the test.’
2. Jesus suffered for all the sins of the world. Jesus suffered for those who refuse to be accountable for pride, jealousy, envy etc.
3. Jesus: First to thine own self be true. Some refuse to admit they are jealous and envious, and time and time again give into satan creating conflict because of their sins. These are the deadly sins: Pride, jealousy, envy, anger, slothfulness, gluttony, and lust. These sins open a door to the evil one, when you deny accountability for these imperfections and sins. Denial of these sins make your heart and soul more unresponsive to My blessings and virtues I want to give. Satan works easily, tempting a person, for one who refuses accountability for these sins. By giving into satan, over and over again, you develop bad habits which can block you, from growing in the opposite virtues. I command you to love. When you allow yourself to harbor jealousy and envy against your brother, you open doors to satan. I command you to love.
4. Jesus: I call you in your vocation to do the Father's will, when your efforts are to hurt others, block them doing God's will because of the evil in you, you are not only sinning, opening doors to satan, but not obeying God's will for you. It is darkness and it lingers.
5. Jesus: When a person refuses to recognize sins in themselves, they allow themselves to grow in ways, that open doors to satan, to work in.
6. Jesus: I sweat Blood in the garden, watching all who do what they want and tell themselves they do not sin, when they sin. A man was sick to his stomach and he felt sick. (Physical). A man who gives into the deadly sins, habitually, does not feel as he should. He can feel very dark in his heart, and do more and more evil, because then satan works in pride, telling the man he isn't wrong, if satan can get away with it.
7. Jesus: I suffered so in the Garden, I sweat Blood for those who deny their sins, their accountability for evil acts toward their brothers, and then, deny what they do, deny responsibility, how they maliciously contribute, to blocking God's plan.
8. Jesus: I give you My law of love. I give you the supernatural virtues of faith, hope and love in baptism. You are to be humble like Mary, who did the Father's will always, Mary was always full of love. Mary was never envious, jealous, or punishing others.
9. Jesus: Mary showed you her love of the Father's will and she suffered tremendously for you, her children. I suffered for all the sins of men, that lie, and try to pass-off their wrong deeds, as never wrong.
10. Jesus: I knew how My body would hurt from your sins and I sweat Blood in the Garden. I saw the endless habits of deadly sins and those telling themselves, they never do wrong. You are here to grow in holiness. You are here to serve My Father, as He asks, this is your road to holiness. Don't fool yourselves, Those envious and jealous toward others know it, Many do this, and neglect to see their actions, blocking what others are trying to do, in doing God's will.
The Scourging at the Pillar
1. Luke 23: 15-19, 22
...As you can see, the man has done nothing that deserves death, so I shall have him flogged and then let him go.' But as one man they howled, 'Away with him! Give us Barabbas!' (This man had been thrown into prison because of a riot in the city and murder.)
And for the third time he spoke to them, 'But what harm has this man done? I have found no case against him that deserves death, so I shall have him flogged and then let him go.'
2. Jesus: Some have punished others in revenge and anger, because of their own revenge, in their past life. They whipped Me raw for the sins of revenge and malice of intent, while men I loved rejected My love, and hurt innocent others, doing God's will, because of their own unhealed revenge, from their old past. I paid for their offenses against their brothers for their own darkness inside.
3. Jesus: When you ignore your sins, they can become habits, and you can justify why you have a right to do so, when the devil tempts you, with jealousy and envy. I paid for those sins, they beat Me raw.
4. Jesus: I want intimacy with you. I loved those who beat Me. Why did they beat Me? The fight was in them. Malicious anger can grow from generations past. Lessons learned, mistreatment by those who should have been trustworthy, and should have loved their children. "Mother and Father wounds", need to be healed and replaced by love of others and doing God's will.
5. Jesus: There is much unfinished business that can keep surfacing, if one denies those hurts and defects that need healing.
6. Jesus: I am the Divine Healer. I want to help you to live in the truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. Pray to the Holy Spirit for healing.
7. Jesus: The Holy Spirit wants to fill your heart with abundant life and be friends with you. The Holy Spirit gives you His gifts.
8. Jesus: I was whipped with big wounds to My whole body, for those who sin and refuse to admit the wounds they have, and act out maliciously, on others.
9. Jesus: Some can have a fight within them, so if they are there, they are ready to fight from the fight inside of them.
10. Satan wants chaos, confusion, destruction, division. Satan wants men to lie and fight with each other in pride and anger and jealousy and envy. Satan hates God, and satan wants to tear things apart.
The Crowning with Thorns
1. Matthew 27: 27-31
Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus with them into the Praetorium and collected the whole cohort round him. And they stripped him and put a scarlet cloak round him, and having twisted some thorns into a crown they put this on his head and placed a reed in his right hand. To make fun of him they knelt to him saying, ‘Hail, king of the Jews!’ And they spat on him and took the reed and struck him on the head with it. And when they had finished making fun of him, they took off the cloak and dressed him in his own clothes and led him away to crucifixion.
2. Jesus: The devil works in secrets. The devil wants to divide the house, to bring things down.
3. Excerpt of The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, by Louis J. Puhl, S.J. P.60-61
136. THE FOURTH DAY
A MEDITATION ON TWO STANDARDS
The one of Christ, our supreme leader and lord,
the other of Lucifer, the deadly enemy of our
human naturePRAYER. The usual preparatory prayer.
window at a former Jesuit Seminary
137. FIRST PRELUDE. This is the history. Here it will be that Christ calls and wants all beneath His standard, and Lucifer, on the other hand, wants all under his.
138. SECOND PRELUDE. This is a mental representation of the place. It will be here to see a great plain, comprising the whole region about Jerusalem, where the sovereign Commander-in-Chief of all the good is Christ our Lord; and another plain about the region of Babylon, where the chief of the enemy is Lucifer.
139. THIRD PRELUDE. This is to ask for what I desire. Here it will be to ask for a knowledge of the deceits of the rebel chief and help to guard myself against them; and also to ask for a knowledge of the true life exemplified in the sovereign and true Commander, and the grace to imitate Him.
FIRST PART
THE STANDARD OF SATAN
140. FIRST POINT. Imagine you see the chief of all the enemy in the vast plain about Babylon, seated on a great throne of fire and smoke, his appearance inspiring horror and terror.
141. SECOND POINT. Consider how he summons innumerable demons, and scatters them, some to one city and some to another, throughout the whole world, so that no province, no place, no state of life, no individual is overlooked.
142. THIRD POINT. Consider the address he makes to them, how he goads them on to lay snares for men and bind them with chains. First they are to tempt them to covet riches (as Satan himself is accustomed to do in most cases) that they may the more easily attain the empty honors of this world, and then come to overweening pride.
The first step, then, will be riches, the second honor, the third pride. From these three steps the evil one leads to all other vices.
SECOND PART
THE STANDARD OF CHRIST
143. In a similar way, we are to picture to ourselves the sovereign and true Commander, Christ our Lord.
144. FIRST POINT. Consider Christ our Lord, standing in a lowly place in a great plain about the region of Jerusalem, His appearance beautiful and attractive.
145. SECOND POINT. Consider how the Lord of all the world chooses so many persons, apostles, disciples, etc., and sends them throughout the whole world to spread His sacred doctrine among all men, no matter what their state or condition.
146. THIRD POINT. . . . end of excerpt
4. Look at the head of Jesus.
Think of the sins of pride, men's ego that wants to be on top of everybody else - even God.
5. Jesus' head was beaten, His eye full of blood, swollen, His teeth went through His tongue, His ears bloodied and beaten. Jesus suffered for all the sins done with the head, the mind, the lies, the deception....Satan works in secrets, satan hides his evil...
6. We see Jesus - the open wounds all over His body, Jesus was hung almost naked on the cross, they tore Jesus' flesh and His blood from within, His saving blood came out...Jesus is absolute truth.
The devil is absolute hate, the devil is the Father of lies.
7. Think of the love Jesus has for us, to endure such treatment, so our sins could be forgiven.
8. God the Father wants us, forever with Him in heaven. God created us to go home someday, forever. We are here to grow more and more, in the image and likeness of Jesus.
9. Study the face and crowned head of Jesus. See the Blood He shed for our sins. Think of the burning love of His Heart for us, to pay for our sins.
10. The gift of piety of the Holy Spirit, helps us to not want to offend God. God created us in the image and likeness of God and He put us here on earth to grow in holiness.
The Carrying of the Cross
1. Matthew 27: 32-34On their way out, they came across a man from Cyrene, called Simon, and enlisted him to carry his cross. When they had reached a place called Golgotha, that is, the place of the skull, they gave him wine to drink mixed with gall, which he tasted but refused to drink.
2. Secrets, the devil works in secrets,...Look how they paraded Jesus on the way to Calvary, covered with blood, beaten body for our sins, Jesus, the Son of God!!!!
3. The devil likes to work in secrets, and then parade his terrible handywork before God and others, to show he got away with the sins.
4. Jesus loves us so much, He was paraded with the heavy cross on His back, Jesus fell under the cross, people laughed and mocked Jesus.
5. The cross was so heavy He could not get up.
6. R. Here is a writing
"I gave birth to a child and I understand
carrying a child and having their little
heart beat within me."What is the human heart, it is the
life of the body beating within. When
Christ chooses His Heart as a symbol
of such love He has for us, how could
we ever refuse such a profound
gift given by our Savior, the Son of God.The Sacred Heart of Jesus – the Heart of
the most love. Jesus a Divine
Person and we know the love of
His Heart and the love of His Mother.
I found a secret hidden in a gold
veil – a treasure of infinite love –
I saw with eyes unveiled behind
a golden mystical veil, Oh to see
the beauty of a golden vision,
sparkling and to know warmth in
our heart, to know presence
and love. AWESOME
July 5, 2000
7. R. God wants us to know how
He outpours His grace on us and
the world and the Church when
we have great devotion to the
Sacred Heart of Jesus.Grace poured out for men –
God's lavishing gift to us –Jesus wants our love in
return. Jesus died for us –
We see the Heart of Jesus and we have
emotion for the Sacred Heart –Mary says how important
the devotion and reparation is to
the Sacred Heart."Jesus: I have put you on this earth to love,
to love God and others and yourself
as I want you to love.
I love you so very much.8. A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul
Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.
9. Jesus: I love you. I give you Myself in the Eucharist. I paid for your sins. I have given you My endless love. You offend God when you sin against your brother. What you do to others, you do to Me.
10. Jesus: They stripped Me of My garments, they nailed Me to the cross, they hung me on the cross, next to two thieves! I did this for love of you. My Heart was My biggest suffering for those who lie about their sins, and reject Me.
The Crucifixion
1. Mark 15: 24-38
Then they crucified him, and shared out his clothing, casting lots to decide what each should get. It was the third hour when they crucified him. The inscription giving the charge against him read, ‘The King of the Jews’. And they crucified two bandits with him, one on his right and one on his left.
The passers–by jeered at him; they shook their heads and said, ‘Aha! So you would destroy the Temple and rebuild it in three days! Then save yourself; come down from the cross!’ The chief priests and the scribes mocked him among themselves in the same way with the words, ‘He saved others, he cannot save himself. Let the Christ, the king of Israel, come down from the cross now, for us to see it and believe.’ Even those who were crucified with him taunted him.
When the sixth hour came there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, ‘Eloi, eloi, lama sabachthani?’ which means, ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’ When some of those who stood by heard this, they said, ‘Listen, he is calling on Elijah.’ Someone ran and soaked a sponge in vinegar and, putting it on a reed, gave it to him to drink saying, ‘Wait! And see if Elijah will come to take him down.’ But Jesus gave a loud cry and breathed his last. And the veil of the Sanctuary was torn in two from top to bottom.
2. Jesus: Distorted reasoning!!! When Adam and Eve sinned, distorted reasoning entered in. The person doing evil can work more and more secret schemes in distorted reasoning and lies.
The devil is the Father of lies.
3. Jesus: I died for you, what more do you want?4. Song: A Song from Jesus
5. Jesus: I died for you. I love you so much. Walk in love, Obey God's Law.
6. Jesus: I died to give you new life. Death/Resurrection, the Pascal Mystery.
7. From Response to God's Love by Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J.
God's ways are not always our ways, and his thoughts are not always our thoughts. God can take a life that seems so ordinary, so prosaic, so uneventful, and achieve wonders with it as long as the person is striving to fulfill his or her role in life according to God's designs. We cannot, then, use the ordinariness of our lives as an excuse for not making our existence truly great, truly significant for both Christ and humanity—a life that truly makes a difference. Karl Rahner has advice for us when the ordinariness of our lives tempts us to think that our existence is unimportant and almost useless: "Let us take a good look at Jesus who had the courage to lead an apparently useless life for thirty years. We should ask him for the grace to give us to understand what his hidden life means for our religious existence" (Spiritual Exercises, p. 160). Notice that Rahner describes the first thirty years of Jesus' life as "apparently useless." In reality, of course, Christ's very ordinary existence at Nazareth was not actually useless but was, on the contrary, tremendously important—it was part of his redemptive effort. No, it is not the ordinary setting of our lives that is an obstacle to our making a unique and important contribution to the cause of Christ. The real obstacle, if we allow it, is our failure to relate to life's ordinariness as God intends.
8. From Response to God's Love by Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J
Love is the Christian virtue. Jesus himself has summarized Christianity in terms of love; all the other virtues variously serve love's purpose. We want to be somebody—persons of real significance. Perhaps we think such a desire is egotistic and unbecoming for Christians; however, this is simply not true if our desires for greatness are actually authentic.
Jesus, in his own manner of life, has vividly pointed out to all of us where true greatness lies. He tells us to seek greatness, but not to be deceived about what greatness truly is. Christ dealt with the powerful and the wealthy, but he was not awed by them. As God, he is, of course, infinitely greater than they; even as man, however, Christ realized that he far surpassed them, for he knew that the Father had made his humanity perfect with the fullness of grace. But Jesus chose not to surround his greatness with any trappings. He was born into this world in poverty and simplicity and was looked down upon as a Nazarene of no social status, yet he stands out as a giant of greatness.
9. Jesus: The devil is the Father of lies. The devil wants to deceive. The devil wants right to look wrong and wrong to look right. Those sinning very often, deny any sin, and they want you to believe it, sometimes satan acts in them, in impudence, if his violent actions are challenged - like abortion!!!
10. From Response to God's Love by Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J
We conclude our view of the mature Christian by observing that such a person is vividly conscious that Jesus was a man of death-resurrection. The Christian realizes both that Christ, through his death and resurrection, has conquered death and sin once and for all, and that no power, no force can wrench this victory from Christ's grasp. The Christian also realizes that, through incorporation into Christ, he or she shares in Jesus' victory. Baptized into Christ, the Christian knows that he or she is simultaneously baptized into the pattern of Jesus' death and resurrection, and that, therefore, he or she is to live out this paschal mystery within the framework of incarnationalism and transcendence. The mature Christian knows that he or she is spirit in body, situated in a visible, material world. The Christian takes seriously this earthly situation and realizes that the life of resurrection has already begun here below. What is more, the Christian also knows that he or she is transcendent being, that he or she will never be completely fulfilled in this life, that he or she must both transcend the limited horizons of this earthly sojourn and fix his or her ultimate gaze on the absolute future—namely, eternal life, where all tears will be forever wiped away, where complete happiness, complete joy, and complete love will exist forever.
Finally, the mature Christian realizes that God intends us to live death-resurrection as members of the Christian community, as members of the Church. Not just individually, but also collectively, we die and rise with Christ in various ways, but most especially in the eucharistic liturgy. As a matter of fact, the Eucharist itself contains and sums up the other ways. In the Eucharist, we wondrously relive—along with Jesus himself—his paschal mystery, his death and resurrection. In the Eucharist we receive very special graces to progress in living our own paschal mystery. Be hold the paschal mystery—it is for us, individually and collectively, our strength, our peace, our joy, our optimism.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10 |
