R. There will be unity, oneness – Mary
promised at Fatima the Sacred Heart of
Jesus will reign and the Immaculate Heart
of Mary will triumph –
Matthew 23: 1-12
Then addressing the
crowds and his disciples Jesus said, ‘The scribes and the Pharisees
occupy the chair of Moses. You must therefore do and observe what
they tell you; but do not be guided by what they do, since they do
not practise what they preach. They tie up heavy burdens and lay
them on people’s shoulders, but will they lift a finger to move
them? Not they! Everything they do is done to attract attention,
like wearing broader headbands and longer tassels, like wanting to
take the place of honour at banquets and the front seats in the
synagogues, being greeted respectfully in the market squares and
having people call them Rabbi.
‘You, however, must
not allow yourselves to be called Rabbi, since you have only one
Master, and you are all brothers. You must call no one on earth your
father, since you have only one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor
must you allow yourselves to be called teachers, for you have only
one Teacher, the Christ. The greatest among you must be your
servant. Anyone who raises himself up will be humbled, and anyone
who humbles himself will be raised up.
R. Jesus condemned the Pharisees,
He describes in this Gospel the
hypocrisy of some religious leaders.
Religious leaders are to be firmly
rooted in God. Sisters and Brothers
are to be the spouse of Jesus.
Therefore those who wear marriage
rings, veils and habits should
be examples of faithfulness to their
vocation as the Spouse of Jesus
and are to witness to the joy one
would have in being married to Christ.
The Apostles after they were arrested
and Jesus had ascended into heaven
were actually joyful that God
had chosen them to suffer for Him.
If you need someone to make
you happy besides God then
you really don't know what
true happiness is. Happiness
is rooted in God, knowing God,
serving God, loving God and others
as God commands of us.
Can you stand alone when things
are tough and still know union
with God within, interior life?
God calls us to put Him first –
this is the first commandment –
We operate to know, love and
serve God. He is our Master –
today is the Lord's Day - the
first day of Holy Week –
We are to reflect on Holy Week
and how we will serve and
love God this week in being
united in love to God and others,
Living according to God's will
in love, doing the little things
in life with much love for God.
God is love and we are to grow
in the image and likeness of God.
We are to do routine things in
our lives with much love –
serving God, loving God, honoring
God, respecting and loving God's
creatures. We are to respect and
love with God's creatures He
has called us to work with in our
vocation.
Abraham Lincoln said
most people are as happy as
they put their minds to be.
We are to be actors. There
are things in our lives we like
and things that are hard, but
we live to carry the cross God
has called us to carry.
Fr. Carter said does it matter if
God calls us to carry a pebble
or a boulder if it is God's will
for us.
We are to discipline ourselves,
be accountable and responsible
for all our actions. We are to
walk as God wants, be filled
with gratitude and cheerfulness.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins.
We are to be alive with the
Holy Spirit operating in us. Cultivate
the spiritual life – be as
God wants.
We have only so many days
left down here to serve God
and love. When we die, our
days here will be gone forever.
We must seek joy that will
last forever in our actions here
today by serving God.
We are to live united with God
and others in mind and heart.
We are to live in the truth –
not live in lies of the deadly
sins: pride, anger, jealousy,
envy, slothfulness, lust, gluttony,
which takes us away
from true happiness and union
with God. The deadly sins cause
us to divide with others, treat
our brothers as enemies – the
deadly sins are sins against
God – opposing God's law –
God wants to dwell in us –
so we have the presence of God
in our hearts – this is joy,
this is happiness to be one in
love with God and others –
God gives us the Eucharist.
Jesus comes to us in the
Eucharist: Body, Blood, Soul
and Divinity.
The Eucharist can help us to
heal in our hearts with God's
love deeply rooted in us. We
want to live our lives to please
God.
1 Thessalonians 1: 2-5, 8-10
We always thank
God for you all, mentioning you
in our
prayers continually. We
remember before our
God and Father how active is
the faith, how unsparing the love, how persevering the
hope which you have from our
Lord
Jesus Christ.
We know,
brothers loved by God, that you have been chosen, because our
gospel came to you not only in words, but also in power and in
the
Holy Spirit and with great
effect. And you observed the sort of life we
lived when we were with you, which was for your sake.
since it was from you that the word
of the Lord rang out—and not only throughout Macedonia and Achaia,
for your faith in God has spread everywhere. We do not need to tell
other people about it: other people tell us how we started the work
among you, how you broke with the worship of false gods when you
were converted to God and became servants of the living and true
God; and how you are now waiting for Jesus, his Son, whom he raised
from the dead, to come from heaven. It is he who saves us from the
Retribution which is coming.
Psalm 27: 11
Yahweh, teach me your way,
lead me on the path of integrity
because of my enemies;
Matthew 23: 13-22
The sevenfold indictment of the scribes
and Pharisees
‘Alas for you,
scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut up the kingdom of
Heaven in people’s faces, neither going in yourselves nor allowing
others to go in who want to.
‘Alas for you,
scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over sea and land
to make a single proselyte, and anyone who becomes one you make
twice as fit for hell as you are.
‘Alas for you, blind
guides! You say, "If anyone swears by the Temple, it has no force;
but anyone who swears by the gold of the Temple is bound." Fools and
blind! For which is of greater value, the gold or the Temple that
makes the gold sacred? Again, "If anyone swears by the altar it has
no force; but anyone who swears by the offering on the altar, is
bound." You blind men! For which is of greater worth, the offering
or the altar that makes the offering sacred? Therefore, someone who
swears by the altar is swearing by that and by everything on it. And
someone who swears by the Temple is swearing by that and by the One
who dwells in it. And someone who swears by heaven is swearing by
the throne of God and by the One who is seated there.
R. There is a book "Happiness
is an Inside Job". When
a person lives life by the
deadly sins - they have darkness
and emptiness inside. A
person can blame all that darkness
inside of them on innocent others
outside of them. Living in the
deadly sins they lose that
union in their hearts with the
truth, the light. This is so
important we can go to our holy
hearts and Jesus is in there –
our strength lies in the interior
life rooted in Jesus.
When a person lives their life
in anger and jealousy and pride and
envy and live to perfect this
darkness – they lose this center
of strength inside of them and it
can be so dark – they go exterior,
outside to blame innocent others
for their darkness.
So many people think happiness
comes from outside –
Listen to this scripture.
Matthew 15: 10-11, 17-20
He
called the people to him and said, 'Listen, and understand. What
goes into the mouth does not make anyone unclean; it is what comes
out of the mouth that makes someone unclean.'
Can’t you see that whatever goes into
the mouth passes through the stomach and is discharged into the
sewer? But whatever comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and
it is this that makes someone unclean. For from the heart come evil
intentions: murder, adultery, fornication, theft, perjury, slander.
These are the things that make a person unclean. But eating with
unwashed hands does not make anyone unclean.’
R. The secret to happiness is
it is inside a man rooted
in God. God gives us our life
and we are to make our life
in Him, in joy – not blame
others for our own unhappiness
due to darkness and sin we
choose in our own lives.
We cannot buy happiness
either.
You HAVE SEARCHED MY
HEART GOD and YOU
KNOW ME –
God is Divinely Just.
Song: I Am a God of Justice
Matthew 23: 23-26
'Alas for you,
scribes and
Pharisees, you hypocrites! You pay your tithe of
mint and dill and cummin and have neglected the
weightier matters of the Law-justice, mercy,
good faith! These
you should have practised, those not neglected.
‘Alas for
you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You
clean the outside of cup and dish and leave the
inside full of extortion and intemperance. Blind
Pharisee! Clean the inside of cup and dish first so
that it and the outside are both clean.
R. Why were we created –
Cardinal
Newman said
"... everyone who breathes, high and
low,
educated and ignorant, young and old,
man and woman,
has a mission, has a work. We are not
sent
into this world for nothing; we are not
born at
random. . . God sees every one of us;
He creates every soul, He lodges it in
a body, one by one, for a purpose. He
needs,
He deigns to need, every one of us.
He has an end for each of us... we are
placed in our different ranks and
stations, not to
get what we can out of them for
ourselves, but to
labor in them for Him, as He rejoiced to
do His work,
we must rejoice in ours also."
(Discourses addressed to
mixed congregations)
R. God created us for a purpose –
We can't ignore God and
do what we want –
The Ten Commandments
1. I, the Lord, am your God. You
shall not have other gods besides me.
2. You shall not take the name
of the Lord, your God, in vain.
3. Remember to keep holy the
Sabbath day.
4. Honor your father and your
mother.
5. You shall not kill.
6. You shall not commit
adultery.
7. You shall not steal.
8. You shall not bear false
witness against your neighbor.
9. You shall not covet your
neighbor's wife.
10. You shall not covet anything
that belongs to your neighbor.
Jesus: I have called you to work together –
Do you see the husbands and wives
and little children? How can
a person live their whole life,
living the deadly sins and getting
better at them and not expect
darkness and misery, isolation,
unkindness to their brothers.
I know the hairs of your heads.
You will stand judgment on how
you lived in union, working
with others in your vocation –
Your time is not your time –
I loan it to you to do My
work –
Angry people practice anger –
they can make themselves victims
and seek innocent others they
accuse of being victimizers.
The dirt is in the man – projecting
your darkness on innocent
others is GAUL ––→
after all I have given to you –
UNGRATEFULNESS of
such men.

Philippians 3: 8-10
Yes, I will go further:
because of the supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my
Lord, I count everything else as loss. For him I have
accepted the loss of all other things, and look on them all
as filth if only I can gain Christ and be given a place in
him, with the uprightness I have gained not from the law,
but through faith in Christ, an uprightness from God, based
on faith, that I may come to know him and the power of his
resurrection, and partake of his sufferings by being moulded
to the pattern of his death,
Philippians 2: 9-11
And for
this God raised him high,
and gave him the name
which is above all other names;
so that
all beings
in the heavens, on earth
and in the underworld,
should bend the knee at the name of Jesus
and that every tongue should acknowledge
Jesus Christ as Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
1 Corinthians 15: 12-19, 36-49
Now if
Christ
is proclaimed as raised from the dead,
how can some of you be saying that there
is no resurrection of the dead? If there
is no resurrection of the dead, then
Christ
cannot have been raised either, and if
Christ
has not been raised, then our preaching
is without substance, and so is your
faith. What is more, we have proved to
be false witnesses to God, for
testifying against
God
that he raised
Christ
to
life
when he did not raise him – if it is
true that the dead are not raised. For,
if the dead are not raised, neither is
Christ; and if
Christ
has not been raised, your
faith
is pointless and you have not, after
all, been released from your sins. In
addition, those who have fallen asleep
in
Christ
are utterly lost. If our
hope in
Christ
has been for this
life
only, we are of all people the most
pitiable.
How foolish! What
you sow must die before it is given new life; and what you sow
is not the body that is to be, but only a bare grain, of wheat I
dare say, or some other kind; it is God who gives it the sort of
body that he has chosen for it, and for each kind of seed its
own kind of body.
Not all flesh
is the same flesh: there is human flesh; animals have another
kind of flesh, birds another and fish yet another. Then there
are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; the heavenly have a
splendour of their own, and the earthly a different splendour.
The sun has its own splendour, the moon another splendour, and
the stars yet another splendour; and the stars differ among
themselves in splendour. It is the same too with the
resurrection of the dead: what is sown is perishable, but what
is raised is imperishable; what is sown is contemptible but what
is raised is glorious; what is sown is weak, but what is raised
is powerful; what is sown is a natural body, and what is raised
is a spiritual body.
If there is a
natural body, there is a spiritual body too. So the first man,
Adam, as scripture says, became a living soul; and the
last Adam has become a life–giving spirit. But first came the
natural body, not the spiritual one; that came only afterwards.
The first man, being made of earth, is earthly by nature; the
second man is from heaven. The earthly man is the pattern for
earthly people, the heavenly man for heavenly ones. And as we
have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so we shall bear the
likeness of the heavenly one.
R.
We live in truth –
Satan is the Father of Lies.
The 8th Commandment is
–
8. You shall not bear false
witness against your neighbor.
Satan wants a person who
sins to justify themselves,
lie – say wrong was
right; right was
wrong –
God wants the sinner to
repent and tell the
truth about their sin
and make recompense –
Satan wants them to lie
more and more and be indignant.
God wants the sinner to tell
the truth and beg for
forgiveness and
stop sinning –

Second Sunday of Easter
Acts 4: 32-37
The whole group of
believers was united, heart and soul; no one claimed private
ownership of any possessions, as everything they owned was held in
common. The apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the
Lord Jesus with great power, and they were all accorded great
respect. None of their members was ever in want, as all those who
owned land or houses would sell them, and bring the money from the
sale of them, to present it to the apostles; it was then distributed
to any who might be in need.
Psalm 118: 2-4, 13-15, 22-24
Let the House of
Israel say,
‘His faithful love endures for ever.’
Let the House of Aaron say,
‘His faithful love endures for ever.’
Let those who fear Yahweh say,
‘His faithful love endures for ever.’
I was pushed hard,
to make me fall,
but Yahweh came to my help.
Yahweh is my strength and my song,
he has been my Saviour.
Shouts of joy and
salvation,
in the tents of the upright,
‘Yahweh’s right hand is triumphant,
The stone which the
builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
This is Yahweh’s doing,
and we marvel at it.
This is the day which Yahweh has made,
a day for us to rejoice and be glad.
1 John 5: 1 - 6
Whoever believes that
Jesus is the Christ
is a child of God,
and whoever loves the father
loves the son.
In this way we know
that we love God’s children,
when we love God
and keep his commandments.
This is what the love of God is:
keeping his commandments.
Nor are his commandments
burdensome,
because every child of God
overcomes the world.
And this is the victory
that has overcome the world -
our faith.
Who can overcome the world
but the one who believes
that Jesus is the Son of God?
He it is who came by water and blood,
Jesus Christ,
not with water alone
but with water and blood,
and it is the Spirit that bears witness,
for the Spirit is Truth.
John 20: 19-31
In the evening of that
same day, the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the
room where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and
stood among them. He said to them, ‘Peace be with you,’ and, after
saying this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples
were filled with joy at seeing the Lord, and he said to them again,
‘Peace be with you.
‘As the Father sent
me,
so am I sending you.’
After saying this he
breathed on them and said:
Receive the Holy
Spirit.
If you forgive anyone’s sins,
they are forgiven;
if you retain anyone’s sins,
they are retained.
Thomas, called the
Twin, who was one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.
So the other disciples said to him, ‘We have seen the Lord,’ but he
answered, ‘Unless I can see the holes that the nails made in his
hands and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I
can put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe.’ Eight days
later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with
them. The doors were closed, but Jesus came in and stood among them.
‘Peace be with you,’ he said. Then he spoke to Thomas, ‘Put your
finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put it into
my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.’ Thomas
replied, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him:
You believe because
you can see me.
Blessed are those who have not seen
and yet believe.
There were many other
signs that Jesus worked in the sight of the disciples, but they are
not recorded in this book. These are recorded so that you may
believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing
this you may have life through his name.
Second Sunday of Easter
April 12, 2015
INTRODUCTION –
(Acts 4: 32-35; 1 John 5:1-6; John
20:19-31) As most of you know,
the Acts of the Apostles was written by Luke, the same Luke that wrote
the third gospel. Our first reading every Sunday, from now until the end
of May, will be from the Acts. Luke tells us today about the early
Christian community. It must have been very early in the life of the
Church because everyone got along so harmoniously. Later on in the Acts,
we find out that it wasn’t long until their system of sharing all things
in common began to fall apart. Paul’s letters tell us about many
problems Paul had in dealing with the Churches he founded that caused
him great anxiety. But for a short time in the beginning, the early
Church was of one mind and one heart.
HOMILY –
Our
gospel begins on Easter Sunday night. The disciples had learned in early
morning that Jesus’ body was gone and that he had already appeared to
several people. Suddenly Jesus appeared to them. He showed them his
wounds so they would know it was really he. So much could be said about
this appearance and the second appearance a week later, but what I want
to focus on today is that Jesus gave the disciples the power to forgive
sins.
This is surely the reason why this
Sunday is designated Divine Mercy Sunday. Jesus forgave sins and now his
Apostles could do it by his power and in his name. This is exactly what
“mercy” means. It means God is reaching out to save us, to lead us by
his grace to the kingdom of heaven. I think the notion of mercy is
misunderstood by many people today. They think it means God is going to
bring everyone into heaven no matter how they lived their life here on
earth. Jesus is very clear that there are those who choose not to
receive God’s mercy and forgiveness. All we have to do is look at some
of Jesus’ parables in Matthew, such as the unforgiving servant, the
workers in the vineyard, the parable of the wedding feast, the ten
virgins, the parable of the talents, the last judgment.
It’s easy to understand what Jesus
meant when he said: “whose sins you forgive are forgiven.” It’s more
difficult to understand what he meant by “whose sins you retain are
retained.” From what I’ve read, the retaining of sins would refer to the
teaching ministry of the Apostles, identifying what is or is not evil,
and what will keep a person in spiritual darkness rather than leading
them into Christ’s light. So intent is Jesus on saving all people that
he has given to mere human beings a power that belongs only to God. This
is mercy in that God wants to share his love with us, but we must accept
it. Our relationship with God cannot be one-sided. God has reached out
to us in love and we must respond in love. If we choose not to respond,
God’s mercy cannot save us for it cannot change us. We thus condemn
ourselves. As Jesus said: “God did not send his Son into the world to
condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.
Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not
believe has already been condemned because he has not believed in the
name of the only Son of God.” (
Jn.
3, 17-18) A lot of other
Christian denominations do not accept the sacrament of reconciliation
(aka confession). I think it makes complete sense in that it gives us
extra assurance of God’s mercy and forgiveness and, psychologically, it
has the positive effect of helping us be relieved of our guilt when we
have done wrong. One thing I sometimes run into is that people do not
always experience the peace that reconciliation can bring us. They do
not feel that peace, not because God hasn’t forgiven them, but because
they haven’t forgiven themselves. We all make mistakes, we’re all
sinners, that’s what comes with being human. When God forgives us, we
have to forgive ourselves and stop beating ourselves up. When we keep
beating ourselves up, that’s an unhealthy form of pride at work -
telling us we shouldn’t have done the things we did. Humility is to
accept ourselves as we are and trying to do better.
There’s one last thing about mercy.
St. Teresa of Avila mentions it. When we have experienced God’s mercy
and forgiveness, we need to be merciful and forgiving toward someone who
has hurt us. Now I’m not talking about being in an abusive relationship
which we should get away from if possible; I’m talking about the
thoughtless, uncaring, catty comments that may come our way in the
course of interacting with one another. After all, we do pray forgive us
our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Well, I guess I’ve said enough about
mercy – so I will practice what I preach and have mercy on you and say
Amen.

After the Sabbath, and
towards dawn on the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the
other Mary went to visit the sepulchre. And suddenly there was a
violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord, descending from
heaven, came and rolled away the stone and sat on it. His face was
like lightning, his robe white as snow. The guards were so shaken by
fear of him that they were like dead men. But the angel spoke; and
he said to the women, ‘There is no need for you to be afraid. I know
you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here, for he
has risen, as he said he would. Come and see the place where he lay,
then go quickly and tell his disciples, "He has risen from the dead
and now he is going ahead of you to Galilee; that is where you will
see him." Look! I have told you.’ Filled with awe and great joy the
women came quickly away from the tomb and ran to tell his disciples.
And suddenly, coming to
meet them, was Jesus. ‘Greetings,’ he said. And the women came up to
him and, clasping his feet, they did him homage. Then Jesus said to
them, ‘Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers that they must
leave for Galilee; there they will see me.’

Cling to Me
May
13, 1993
Jesus: My dear child, if
you stay close to Me, then I live in you and you live in Me. I am He Who
created you and I love you with such an intensity that you will never know. My
words are your truth. You must abide in My heart in all things. There is no
room for doubt. My ways are steadfast, direct, and without error.
You must stay rooted in Me to ward off
the power of the evil one. His grip is paralyzing and crippling. His power is
stronger every day.
When you live in Me, I am in your heart
and he has no power over Me. I am your God. I am your true lover. I want to
protect you. I want to guard you from this force. Stay rooted firmly in Me and
he will have no power.
I am He Who comforts you. My hand is upon
you. Hold tight to Me, My child. My eyes are fixed right on you. You are My
most precious child. I love you as no other can. My arms are about you. My
tenderness surrounds you. My love is in your heart. You go not alone. I walk
with you.
I share every aspect of your life with
you. Cling to Me, feel My presence. It is warm and secure within your chest.
There is no room for fear, for I cast out fear and bring you comfort and joy.

we need to spread to
the people of the earth –
Here is the gift God gave.
R.
Mary appeared like this in Clearwater
and we have this building
to pray and deliver these
messages –
The retreat in Clearwater is

Holy Spirit –

A Prayer for Grace and Holiness today
A prayer to work in love and holiness
John 16: 23
"If you ask the Father anything in my name,
He will give it to you"
R. God wants our unity – we ask for
this
unity – that the Spirit of God fill
us and help us to be holy –
that we do not hold onto any of the deadly
sins that block us from this unity –
that the Holy Spirit can work in our souls,
so we can be His instruments of love
and peace and joy among our brothers.
We pray this heavenly Father in the name of
Jesus who said ask in my name and
it will be given to you.
Let us experience the joy
of unity and love
on a supernatural level and know You
our beloved God – more and more supernaturally.
We want our hearts to be sanctified in
our love and work so we are holy and
pleasing to You God.
Come to us Lord and possess our soul.
We want to walk as God intends us
to walk today in the plan of God,
in the work He has called us to do today.
We know that we must cooperate with the
grace
You are giving us – now and today to
bring unity and peace and love to this
day as we serve to do the work – You are
calling us in our vocation to do.
Dear Heavenly Father, hear our prayer,
in the name of Jesus, we pray,
we ask, heavenly Father for these
graces necessary this day to
bring peace, love and joy to
our relationships and work – as You
work in us.
We seek perfection in our
souls to be holy
souls likened to You – in work
and in play – to be holy in prayer –
we invite You Holy Spirit to be
the Guest of our soul.
We seek order in our lives, not disorder.
We beg for the virtues of faith, hope, love,
prudence, temperance, fortitude, justice,
and humility. We seek to be obedient
to the will of God and live obedient to
the will of God in love.
Come Holy Spirit Come into our hearts.
Transform
us from fear to fearlessness to serve
You as You desire in our lives.
Help our actions to be for the glory and
honor
of God with the goal of these actions
to one day be in heaven with Thee,
our beloved God.
Heal our hearts and our bodies – Help
us to have health of body now in
this work you call us to do.
Instill in us a desire to want to only
do the will of the heavenly Father
and to walk in holiness and love.
We pray all these prayers heavenly Father,
united to Jesus, in His name for
grace and holiness today and always.
Help us to live by right reasoning in
our lives – to have the truth
in our every thought and to live
in order as You operate in us
in unity and love.
Come to me Lord and possess my soul.
We seek order in our lives – Your order
to love in us, to help us to act as
You desire, to have the thoughts
that are in right reasoning and in
Your order, Lord.
Give us the grace to use our faculties
to love and serve You and do
Your work.
Give us faith and right reasoning.
Help us to love and be just in our actions.
Help us to seek Your Divine Will and to
perform those actions, which are actions
pleasing to You in everything.
Come to us Lord and purify our consciences,
our souls.
Help us to hope and love in Thee.
We seek heavenly vision – to see
things through the eyes of
the heavenly Father and to be
perfected more and more in doing
God's will in our lives.
We pray for the gifts and fruits of the Holy
Spirit.
We pray for this purity in our souls –
to live virtuously, to be perfected
more and more and filled with the
gifts of the Holy Spirit –
Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel,
Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety
and Fear of the Lord
and to have the fruits of
the Holy Spirit –
charity, joy, peace, patience,
benignity (kindness), goodness,
long-suffering, mildness,
faith, modesty, continency,
and chastity.
We do not want the enemies to
invade our thoughts, our
actions, our lives –
We pray to give up ugly bad habits of the
deadly sins –
pride, greed, envy, wrath, lust, gluttony, and sloth
We know on this journey we will
experience sufferings and joys
and we accept the struggles
in life and ask You to help us,
strengthen us in our lives to
suffer and rejoice as You
desire us to do in our lives.
We want to be a reflection of Your
heavenly love – to be full of light –
Your light in us. To operate in
light and not darkness – IN You,
our beloved God.
We want to follow in the footsteps
of Jesus in giving love and
light and unity to those
we contact in our lives –
Prayer for Union
with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my
soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence
with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to
use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all
that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to
die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw
my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling
within me.
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my
life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to
put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as
You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me
from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus
off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the
promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear
to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me
now.

R. Dear Holy Spirit please come to me the
Guest of my soul. Please pour
into me Your virtues and gifts.
Dear Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwell in me.
Please fill me with the
supernatural gifts I received at
baptism – that they may grow
ever greater to know and love supernaturally.
Dear Holy Spirit,
Please mold in me more and
more the image of Jesus in my
heart and soul.
Sing: Come to me, Lord, and possess my
soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul.
Help me to sit in silence
with You and let You work in my heart.
R. The evil in the world can get
worse, but God doesn't
change –
the Light is not dimmed –
God is the Light of the World –
God gives us a sharing in His
life in baptism
Here are the 10 Commandments.
The Ten Commandments
1. I, the Lord, am your God. You
shall not have other gods besides me.
2. You shall not take the name
of the Lord, your God, in vain.
3. Remember to keep holy the
Sabbath day.
4. Honor your father and your
mother.
5. You shall not kill.
6. You shall not commit
adultery.
7. You shall not steal.
8. You shall not bear false
witness against your neighbor.
9. You shall not covet your
neighbor's wife.
10. You shall not covet anything
that belongs to your neighbor.
R.
God must be first in our life –
We can't act like the
commandments don't
apply to us –
Lying is wrong
Jealousy toward one's brother
is sinful –
Hurting others is wrong –
We are to love God first –
love our neighbor and
love ourselves –
We were created in the image
and likeness of God –
It is our duty from baptism
to spread the Good News –
We have a vocation and we
are to do what we are
supposed to in our
vocation to attain our eternal
salvation in heaven –
Did you see a bully –
they keep trying to provoke
someone doing good –
in hopes they can bring
them down –
get them to lose heart –
come down to their sordid
level
Why would anyone rebel against
God's commandments –
deny God –
hate his brothers and
think he can be anything
but hateful inside –
Why would anyone reject
the love and goodness
God gives to them or
treat their brothers as
enemies.

prayers 24 years ago – to begin

and the world –

From Tell My People by Fr.
Edward J. Carter, S.J.
"What I say to you in the dark, tell
in the day-
light; what you hear in whispers, proclaim
from the housetops." (Matthew 10:27)
Jesus Has Come to Give
Us Life
Jesus: "This is the day
celebrating My Resurrection (Easter). The day of newness of life. I
am Lord and Master. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Tell My
people to come to Me if they wish to experience life in abundance. I
want to give all an ever greater share in the life of My
Resurrection. Without Me you cannot be happy, nor have peace, nor
have real joy. Tell My people to surrender to Me more and more. The
more they do so, the more they will experience My love, wisdom,
power, peace, joy, happiness, mercy, and goodness. Within My Heart
My people will find these riches. I am Lord and Master! Please
listen to My words."
Reflection: Through His life,
death, and resurrection, Jesus has come to give us life, and to give
us this life in abundance.
When we were baptized, we were
incorporated into Christ and His Church. When we were baptized, we
received the life of sanctifying grace. This life is a created
sharing in the life of the Trinity. Truly, we are called to live a
God-like existence according to the teaching and example of Jesus!
It is our duty and our privilege to develop our life of grace—our
Christ-life—through our participation in the Mass, through the
reception of the sacraments, through prayer, and through all other
good works. Indeed, we are called to love God and neighbor more and
more.
What a glorious life has been given to
us! In a spirit of thanksgiving, and together with Mary our Mother,
let us always strive to know Christ more intimately, to love Him
more ardently, and to follow Him more closely, so that He will
always bring us to a closer union with the Father in the unity of
the Holy Spirit.
Prayer:
Father, we are profoundly grateful for the life You have given to us
through Jesus and in the Holy Spirit. Through the constant
intercession of Mary our Mother, we ask for the grace to always be
Your worthy sons and daughters.
