Messenger:         Jesus wants me to write about faith.

                            Prayer is the lifting of mind and heart to God.

                            I know we have prayed for 11 years for the
                                priests, the Church and the world.

                            When Jesus told me to go to Rome He told
                                me to pray for the Cardinals and Bishops
                                and to pray for our mission that
                                the world will be the way He wants it
                                to be.

                            So we went to Rome and we prayed so deeply.

                            I felt the world received so much grace
                                during the death of John Paul II.

                            I remember August 13, 2004 when the hurricane
                                was headed for Clearwater. I was not
                                focused on this, just how deeply God
                                had told me to pray —

had just made their commitment.

August 13, 2004

Messenger:   I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you in love.

    The commitment that we made is a serious commitment that our Lord wishes us to give ourselves especially to this Movement to help to spread this consecration to the world and to deliver the message that He has given to us through the priestly newsletter, through the Blue Book writings, through the rosary meditations. We have been given many gifts and God has called each one of us in a different way to respond.

    It is in living the vocation that God has given to us to the full as much as we can in the capacity that He has called us that is important.

    For some it may be to give their life as a servant and a handmaid, to another it may be to give themselves as an Apostle of the Sacred Heart of Jesus or an Apostle of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, to others it may be to serve Him as an Associate.

    These levels were given to Fr. Carter in the beginning by Jesus. And as early as 1994 he knew that the Movement would be this way with these different levels of commitment.

    He desires that the Shepherds of Christ Movement, the servants and handmaids become an order and we have worked in any way that we can in order to begin this. There will be much preparation and prayer in order for us to really do what Our Lord wants with the Shepherds of Christ Movement. But it is not a little call to establish an order to help renew the Church and the world. It will be through very much sacrifice and commitment and giving of oneself and obedience to the messages that God has given.

    Never have I been given messages from Jesus and not followed them to the T and not been rewarded. The Movement that He wants is a Movement of sisters and brothers that will be very, very committed to His Sacred Heart that will live the bridal union that He so desires of His sisters and brothers in the Church. But it is in not letting down any of the rules that God has given to us in what some may consider an ouster prayer life.

    But in following the direction that God has given from the beginning when Fr. Carter received the message in 1994 of the different levels of commitment that would come from the Shepherds of Christ Movement. It doesn't take a lot of intelligence to see that this Movement is structured as it is, was established far beyond our capability. For I was a Math teacher and a mother raising children and Fr. Carter a Jesuit priest, but through the messages that God has given, it has taken us to the place where we are today.

    And as the message said that I faxed around the day before I got the Birthday Video, it said that we were at the top of the mountain with the Priestly Newsletter that we will now circulate to the 85,000 priests. And it entails a lot of prayer and commitment on your part in order to do what Our Lord wants to with the Shepherds of Christ Movement. With the support of Fr. Lou and his provincial and his rector and the people that stand behind the newsletter we can do much of what God has wished us to do from the beginning.

    The Shepherds of Christ Movement is in the infancy stages and you have been called by Jesus to respond, to be in the foreground, to be the ones that will help this come about. But satan wants to keep people at the bottom of the mountain instead of at the top. And God has given us many visions, insights into the ecstasies to lead us to a wider vision, to know just a taste of what it will be in eternity.

    And what a loss for the souls, the souls that Mary cried about when she appeared to me every day for the 14 months, the ones that could be lost for all eternity because they continued a life of sin and did not do what God asked them to do in the commandments. This is a serious commitment. It is not a little thing. And the message that I got yesterday morning is very, very important.

    When you think of one soul that didn't make it to heaven for all eternity. It brings tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat. For I long to be there with such desire myself and the fact that any person might not make it just makes me want to cry. God has called you and me to be the helper to lead souls so that they will be in heaven for all eternity.

    It is not a little commitment when the Blessed Mother appears as she did on the building in Clearwater. It is an enormous calling. We see the impact that the Fatima message had on the world and the calling of the Blessed Mother to the three visionaries. But the calling has been given loud and clear to you and you have answered the call. It is with enthusiasm and love and gratitude that God wants us to respond. It is with the vision that He has given to us over and over again in the Blue Book writings and the rosary meditations. The vision that God has called each and every one of us with all of our talents and prepared us for this commitment.

    To me it may have been certain testing that I went through in order to say yes, to have the faith to keep moving on when there was so many people that surround me that thought that I might have been a little funny. To you it was a different commitment. It was a commitment of your time, your talents, your love for Jesus, whatever it was, that God has called each one of us. It's not like one of can say, I am going to do this on my own because I am going to get divided with you. It isn't like that. Time and time again when I know I feel that it is most difficult to be able to communicate, it is in those times that I look and I focus on the will of God. And I focus on the fact of not how I feel about the situation but about what He wants. And it takes discipline and sometimes suffering in order to keep going on and going on and climbing that mountain when you feel like someone should know because God said it to you so strongly. And they just don't seem to hear when you say it over and over again.

    I call you today as a messenger from God to pray fervently for the grace to live out this vocation, to join hands with me, to help me to do what God has called us to do in the Shepherds of Christ Movement, to form an order and to pray for that, to pray for the Bishops and the Pope and the people over us, to spread the Blood of Jesus on the Movement and consecrate the hearts of all in it, to cast the devil far away and to pray for the coming of the Holy Spirit. And also to pray for all those, every day, some of you can pray more than others, that touch the Movement, that this will give us added protection when the Blood of Jesus is spread on the Movement and the people respond more in tune with God's will instead of in adversity.

    God has called me to deliver this message to you today. To tell you how important it is for one soul that is lost for all eternity is a great loss. Because He suffered and He died and He came to this earth for each and every soul. 

    And He has called us to help Him. I am not asking you to do anything that is not God's will. I am asking you to pray about this and to do God's will in the capacity that He has called you to respond. And to not to focus on me as the messenger or trying to please me, but to see my own struggle in the situation and realizing that God speaks to me. And it is most difficult in my heart to realize that some souls will not make it to the top, to the arms of God. And we have a hand it that.

    The day that Mary appeared on the building as she did, and the day that we were able to begin spreading the materials and being there and the fact that we have the building today gives us an important mission. But He gives us also the commitment of the heart, the desire to be able to do what God has asked us to do, to pray for the discipline, to not give into the temptations sometimes when we know God is calling us to do something and to give into our feelings when God is telling us to do something. God sends people to the Virgin Mary Building that they will receive this message, that they will help, they come from afar and they come from all over the world.

    Remember long ago, remember. Mary would appear to me very day at 6:30 at the Holy Spirit Center and this was in August of 1994, 10 years ago. And every day I would anxiously wait and Fr. Carter would go and so would Joe and Cathy, my two children. And then we would start the Shepherds of Christ Movement after that. And sometimes I would see Mary again and other people would see things. 

    And very strongly I would deliver the messages that are now in the Red Rosary Book from Jesus and Mary that would say that we were the apostles that He is sending into the world and so far we hadn't left that seat in the back of the Holy Spirit Center. A lot of nerve you say for me to sit there, to sit on that chair and to say that I was speaking for Jesus and say that we are the apostles that He is sending into the world. It was not nerve. It was the fact that I saw Our Lady before me, that I had Fr. Carter by my side then, a tremendously talented Jesuit theologian who would receive the messages himself. The messages that he knew the direction that this Movement would go in. 

    And he knew too that he would die someday because he kept saying to John and me, he would say "You and Rita are going to be left and then you're going to have to run the Movement." And I would never listen because I never thought that he would really leave. And I thought Our Lady of Clearwater would heal him. But on December the 18th, he died of the year 2000.

    And I didn't know how we would get that money to put the first newsletter out but he told me to. And I struggled and I remember sitting on the floor in my living room with Jane and Emily and I was so sore from the sorting of the pages and all the stuff that went into these letters begging for donations. And that's how it's been since 1994 one little mountain to the next. People that would say to me in 1994 "Why do you go in there, nobody believes you that the Blessed Mother is appearing to you." Tables of men and priests and people that would say "Well people don't believe the Blue Books." Look at how the Blue Book has changed your life. 

    It has called upon my faith and your faith to give yourself as you have over these ten years and we may not have done it as perfectly as we wished. But did we do anything our whole life as perfectly as we wished? When God was teaching me the lessons to help prepare me for this journey, I remember lots of times, I just did not want to take the way to learn the lesson because it hurt so much. But they were lessons that God gave that gave me the strength to be able to do this. And there were lessons that God gave to each and every person in this Church to give them the strength and the people at the Florida site and all those that are listening. 

    And today I come to you 10 years later. And I'm not in the back of the Holy Spirit Center with the statue of the Sorrowful Mother that you may not see that is appearing to me. And we hadn't gone any where but out of that corner when we went to our cars. And with the strong voice that came out of me that said that "You are the apostles that will go into the world, that will take My light to the long ends of the earth." We did that. 

    For six and one-half years we sent that Priestly Newsletter almost 6 times each year to far corners of the earth. We sent the Priestly Newsletter Book II to 85,000 priests, the last mailing we did after 8 years of mailing things. We sent it almost 90,000 priests with Fr. Carter's Spirituality Handbook which is a real gem because it's a synopsis of the spiritual life from a holy Jesuit doctor priest who wrote 18 books and worked his whole life trying to write a synopsis of the spiritual life. And he wrote 3, that one, the 20 page newsletter and the book Tell My People that Jesus and Mary gave to him. 

    I ask you today and for those who stay through the rest of this retreat — to take the commitment that you have made to your heart. To beg God for the grace to help you to stay united to the Mass and to pray for us, to pray the prayers everyday if you can because you are the core. It is the grace that God will grant that will help us save that one soul. It could be my son or my daughter or your son or your daughter or one of your grandchildren or mine. What would that mean to us? For all eternity that they went to heaven or they went to hell. Think of that. 

    And then think of Mary when she appeared to me every day for 14 months, begging me to reach her children, begging all of us when she appeared to all of us for 7 years. I hear the voice of Mary. I hear it every time I did the joyful mysteries and they were not joyful when she got to the fifth mystery for she lamented about her children that were lost. And I would cry over at Immaculata because I didn't know how to get the School Rosary Program in the schools. 

    Jesus does not want you to think of this Movement as my Movement. Jesus does not want you to be prideful or jealous of me for delivering the message which has affected so many souls of the earth and help to lead them to heaven. Jesus wants you to pray with me that we all answer the call He has given to us. 

    Look at the Apostles. He called them very carefully one by one, Peter the rock. And I was listening to a tape by Bishop Sheen and he was talking about Peter and he said that when he went to school there was a skinny boy that looked like a wind would blow him away. And they called him Hercules. And he said Peter was anything but a rock. That's how we are, we bounce back and forth, we're imperfect, we don't do it all right. 

    But the important thing is, is that today, that we ask God to give us the grace to do His will, to not be tempted by the division that satan wants to create to stop a big advancement from happening. To realize that sin is real and that if we sin, God knows that we will sin, it is the fact that we lie to ourselves and to others. It is to be humble and to move out of that sin, to not give into the temptation, to look at the fact that whether you do this help or you don't do this help can affect so many souls. 

    Sometimes I feel like I am screaming at the top of my lungs because of the intensity within me from seeing Mary appear to me  every day for 14 months. Or for Mary and Jesus speak as He did yesterday for 2 hours and I write that on a piece of paper and I look at it and it doesn't seem like much. 

    But I know that this retreat is very important to God, and how we stay united and how we pray, telling Him that we are sorry for our sins, that we are sorry for the sins of the people of this earth, that we are begging for mercy, that we're asking Him to help us with the newsletter and Fr. Lou and Cathy and all the people that help us get it out, Sycamore Printing, the people that don't go to Mass every day. 

    God has told us how to do everything to get to this point and look at how beautiful it all is. Indeed it is beautiful. God we thank You and we love You and we pray for the grace for our vocation and we pray for the priests, the Church and the world. This is not to make you run out of here and say that I am putting pressure on you. This is for you to hear in your heart that God has called you. And in the capacity that He has called you for you to serve, not more not less. That doesn't mean that you do it all, that means that you do it exactly the way that God wants you to. People that have a full time job can't do everything. But you can offer up what you're doing at work united to the Mass. And all of us can be united as a strong body praying for the intentions of the Shepherds of Christ to help get this newsletter out there. We need your prayers, your commitment, your love. 

    Jesus hung on the cross and when it didn't feel good He didn't get down and walk away. When He hung on the cross, He hung there no matter how it felt, no matter how bad the pain was, and the thief said to him "Get down and save yourself." And Jesus hung there and He saw my face and your face and the face of our grandkids and our husbands, our son-in-law, He saw them all. And He said "There is the soul I love and want with Me for all eternity." 

    And when Mary delivered the message to me it was the cry for her children that were falling into hell like rain she said. So Mary Elpers may work, like I don't know how she ends up doing it with the rosaries and I know she's getting a lot of help from a lot of people in Southern Indiana. But that's what Mary asked for when she appeared to me 500 times. It might be a little thing. It might be $25 that you can send to help us for the rosary beads or it might be your prayer at work all day when it's unusually hard for you. And you know that suffering is a big thing to help to bring down grace. And this is not talking about suffering just for the sake of suffering, it's suffering that God allows us to undergo. Not letting somebody abuse us or do stuff that isn't God's will. 

    It's about doing God's will. It's about doing God's will and looking at that picture of Jesus on the cross and remembering this, when it hurt and when His head was crowned with thorns, when the blood ran into His eyes and His ears, He did the Father's will. When we celebrate the Christmas dinner and we're around maybe with all our families and we feel our heart is swelling with such joy and we know that it's good, it's the Father's will. But then the next day, when we have to do something hard, it may be the Father's will too. 

    And I said to Father before Mass, I said, "You know this is how it is one day I said the thing for me is doing God's will and I can't measure it by how I am feeling because sometimes God asks me to do some things that are really hard and they don't feel too good." And he says "Well", he says, "It's like a marriage, some days it's different, harder than others." And that's exactly it. We are the spouse of Christ. And in the suffering many times there is joy because we know that in the suffering great things are accomplished. But they take suffering.

    And He hung to His death on the cross. He hung there and as Fr. Carter would say "He knew us by name." Amen.

Messenger:  Think of all the boys that could be out there today that could have a vocation. And because the stimulation is not there, because the prompting is not there, that they may not even consider becoming a priest. 

    And then think of the shortage of priests and the fact that — like in West Virginia there were 5 parishes — 3 were all under one priest and they just plain closed 2. Think of all the places that I keep going to that I travel and they just don't have weekly Mass. 

    Or the fact that here on Monday they don't have one so they have to go to Batesville and it takes them 3 hours to drive there to get to Mass on Monday. 

    The shortage of priests is closer than we think that it is. And the Movement that God gave to us in 1994 to pray for His priests was an important Movement that may have helped some of this shortage. 

    But just as Our Lady warned when she appeared at Fatima and she said that we must obey what she was telling us and we must pray the rosary. They did not listen to the Queen of Peace and look at how much damage was done by World War II. I remember seeing the video with the bodies thrown on the heaps. It was so awful, all of the destruction and the loss of lives. (The hurricane was going on while I was saying this.)

    God is speaking to the earth. At the beginning of the century and at the end. And God is telling us what to do about the shortage of priests but when we try to tell people they do not want to listen even after Mary appeared all that time on the building. 

    And they crowned Him with a crown of thorns. And it was 10 years ago today that Our Lady appeared to me August the 13th, 1994, she appeared every day then. She appeared to the children at Fatima, August the 13th of 1917. How many years ago was that today, because today is August the 13th, 2004. And yes, they jailed the children and so Our Lady could not appear on that date August 13th as she desired, she then appeared on August the 19th. If I said she appeared on the 13th of 1917, I meant she didn't get to appear cause the children were jailed. The message is coming from God, for God is contacting the earth in these messages but we are not listening. 

    The priesthood comes from Christ. There are boys that are out there that God would like to have to be priests. But there are many things, for the kids today do not even hear about how wonderful it is to be a priest and what a gift it is. And that's why God gives to us the Blue Book writings and the Mass Book and the Priestly Newsletter so that the priest will tell the youth how wonderful it is to be a priest. How they should listen to that calling that God may be giving to them. 

    If they prepared the children of this earth so exactly how to be scientist and business people and sports people, I know when they study for the sports thing, they practice rigorously, day after day after day after day, to bring us the gift of the sports. But what about the Mass and what is needed for our spiritual feeding from our Church? Shouldn't we be telling our youth as avidly as we tell them about how to practice so that they can play a good basketball game, so that they can go out and be a leader, so that they can go and be a business person, a banker or whatever it is. Shouldn't we be telling them about what to do to prepare us so that the Church has Masses? Is it more important that we have bankers in the bank than priests in the churches? Is it more important that we have more actors, that we have more people in the sports field? What is wrong with us and why do we not see? And yet Jesus comes to us quietly in a gentle man like Fr. Carter, 10 years ago, and he says this is what you must do, you must pray for the priests, the Church and the world.

How many of our priests do we want to go on vacation from saying daily Mass? Bishop Sheen said "What about the priests that go on vacation and don't celebrate daily Mass?" Should a priest ever go one day if he can help it and not celebrate Mass? Let us pray more fervently than ever before all through the day as we unite to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for our priests, for the Church and the world.

Messenger:  The Lamb of God, the one that came and gave Himself, that shed His blood for our sins. And the message yesterday talks about this. It says in Genesis that when Adam and Eve sinned that God made for them skins to clothed them. It said that the sacrifice is — that God is doing something and there is that shedding of blood in the sacrifice. Like with Adam and Eve God clothed them with skins. Archbishop Sheen says that there had to have been that shedding of blood for them to be clothed with the skins. Also in that sacrifice we see that God gave to them, clothed them with these skins from animals which were sacrificed or whatever, they shed their blood. But the thing of it was, is Adam and Eve were the ones that sinned. 

    And there was a little story in the writing yesterday and it talked about a little boy who went to school and he cheated. And so the head of the school came and he said, "Well this little boy cheated." " So", he says, "He's going to have to be expelled." And his brother came in and his brother said "Oh please don't expel my little brother, expel me instead." 

    And that's what we see with Christ. Christ is the sinless one. We are the sinners. The sacrifice that He gives to us is Himself and in that offering He gives Himself for us. It is because we are the sinners. Adam and Eve sinned and He clothed them with the skins of animals. In a sacrifice God does something and then there is the shedding of blood. And a lot of times the sacrifice is because it is not the person that sinned but it is someone else that is the sacrifice, like a lamb, like Jesus is the lamb sacrificed for our sins.

Messenger:  But although I speak of these things in words in which it may help us to understand more the idea of sacrifice and how much God loves us that He gives Himself as He did on the cross for love of us. And that today He gives us the priests and that He gives us the Mass. 

    Although I may speak of this, it is nothing as the knowledge that I possess from the ecstasies and the union from going to the Eucharist and sharing most intimately with the Divine God. 

    From the moment many of us received the Blue Books and we started praying more before the Blessed Sacrament, we received tremendous grace from God who has drawn us into a most intimate union with Him, like a husband and a wife knows each other from living with each other. 

    We receive special knowledge within our heart and our soul from going to the Eucharist. Not a bookish kind of knowledge but a knowledge of knowing God deep within our soul from attending Mass, from His outpouring of His life within us, from the sharing of Himself when He gives Himself to us in the Eucharist. 

    What a gift that the Divine God comes to this earth, that He gives Himself as a sacrifice to His death on the cross for us sinners, that He gives us a sharing in His life and that He remains with us today through the hands of a priest. The grace that God outpours through the Eucharist is so much grace and the devil knows this. And it is the devil that is the enemy. It is that poisonous bite of the serpent. 

    And in yesterday's message it talked about Moses and how God told him to make the brass serpent and to hang him on a tree. And when people looked on him that were bitten by the poisonous serpent then they would be healed. 

    And we look at Jesus, as we look at the picture of Him hung on the tree, that He asked us to look at today, and we think of how God gave Himself for us, and in knowing how God loves us and gazing upon His picture with love, recognizing Jesus as Savior, the Son of God, we too can be healed, we too can be saved.

    I haven't forgot about the rosary. Jesus wanted me to read this because it is so important out of this retreat to see the focus once again as we talked about before and is in the Mass Book. The focus which is for us to be these intercessors united to the Mass all through the day. 

    The message I received yesterday does not display the intensity to which God spoke to me and how He truly is calling us to pray for the souls of this earth. 

    Think of our own children and grandchildren and how it would be to think that one of those may be lost. Then think of Mary because she appeared to me over 500 times asking me to try to do all that I could to help that her children would not go to hell. But it wasn't to me, the message was given to  you. You are the Shepherds of Christ called by Jesus and Mary to spread this mission to the ends of the earth. And that is what has happened from the time she first appeared and we sat in that little chapel, look at how far it has gone. And it's only at the beginning. 

    But if you say no or lack the enthusiasm or commitment that God is asking of you then it will not do what it is to do. For He needs all of us, He needs all of us to pray hard for our vocation, to pray to be intercessors, to unite to the Mass, to try to understand the messages that we can be better intercessors, that we can offer our lives — offer our lives. Can we do any less? Think of Jesus, the Son of God, who comes to this earth and He gave His life, beaten, crowned with thorns, His body maimed because of His love for us, that is what Jesus says. Can we not offer united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for the souls, the precious souls that He died for? It could make the difference to one soul, one soul that would be in heaven for all eternity. 

    And she came and she appeared everyday for 14 months and the last 9 months she cried out every day about that School Rosary Program. And it may seem like a little thing but to our little efforts God applies His might and much is happening all over the world. We must look at Him and thank Him, praise Him and remain encouraged for a job well done. Even in our imperfections God has magnified our efforts. 

    God has brought us to a place where we are today, an international Movement circulating the Priestly Newsletter as we did for at least 8 years to, it got to 85,000 to 90,000 priests in the world. God, thank You for loving us, calling us and giving us this mission, and for the success that we have received. We have suffered setbacks but look at how we have steadily advanced ahead. 

    Look at this church and the fact that Jesus is here and that we have been here so many years on the 13th, that we have been permitted by the Archdiocese to have the Blessed Sacrament here. Steadily ahead, step by step, we walked sometimes as it felt as if we were walking over rocks and thistles but we still kept going.

    And the message that I give to you today is we will keep going. But the serpent is going to try to stop us. And we must focus on what is the will of God and if God allows us to go through suffering or if we feel divided with someone that we know that we need to work with to accomplish a big task. Then we have to pray for the grace to be able to get over the feelings and continue to do the will of God. For it is in doing the will of God and, step by step, that we will be able to advance. 

    God give us the grace that we need, strengthen our faith and our hope and help us to grow in holiness from this mission from this place today, from your presence, dear God truly present and with us.

Messenger:  See Mary as she holds the little Baby Jesus. See her as she washes His tender hands and feet. See her now as she watches as they pound into those same hands and feet the gigantic nails that fix Jesus to the cross.

Mary:  Oh, my dear ones, my heart was torn in my chest as they nailed His hands and feet to the cross. I ask you this day to walk the Passion with me and see through my eyes the love He has for you. He truly was nailed to the cross.

Jesus:  They pounded the nails into My first hand, then they stretched My body and nailed My other hand. The blood poured from these wounds that went totally through My hands. Mary speaks:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. Messenger:  And as we say these Hail Marys let us think of God who came to this earth and gave Himself to His death on the cross. And every time that we've got a suffering that we know it's God's will that we undergo, let us pray for the grace to be able to think He didn't come down from the cross. That's the thing. 

    I hope I don't suffer tomorrow for saying this. I hate this but whatever it is, it is. When God gives us a suffering, no matter how hard it is, that's how we take it. If we know it's God's will that we have to endure something and a lot of times it's to get some work done that God's asking us to do. And I'm not telling you to push yourself and to do work that God is not asking you to do or to do something that's not God's will.

    But the devil is there when you got to do something that's real important and he can almost make you feel that you can't work with somebody else or whatever the pain is, I don't know. It can be being at the site and just being tired. And here comes some person that's really a person God's called to do a lot of work, and you just get a seat, your just going to sit there and do nothing. Oh I don't care or go look at the computer and read your e-mail. I mean you' are in there to do this. 

    I remember the car dealership during the recessions. And I mean it was tough. And when somebody came in there you sold them a car, that's how it was. It was either that or you were going to go out of business, like 11 out of 15 places would go out of business during the recession. 

    So we got these messages from God, these messages. Why did God choose the site to have the Blessed Mother appear on the building? With the enthusiasm of knowing that God gave Himself to His death on the cross, we have a message to deliver to the person that God sends our way that He loves them. If you are on the phone there should be enthusiasm because God has called us to this mission. 

    And the proof in the pudding is the fact that the Blessed Mother appeared for 7 years. This no ho-hum little job, this is a job to tell the world that Jesus loves them.

August 13, 2004 Talk continues

Messenger:  And Jesus gave us Mary on the building and His face on the building to help our own waivering faith. He's taking us down that road of saintliness more and more because you can tell in your own life since her head got knocked off and since Fr. Carter died, He keeps drawing you closer and closer to Himself and you let go of more and more things or you understand suffering a little better or whatever it is. 

    But some of us can be like a kicking mule. Where we are still holding on to something and I can't quite figure out what it is. Is it the disposition or is it like the three classes of men that Ignatius talks about where the person puts the humpf in there. When the Blessed Mother appeared to me 500 times I got the humpf in there to say that we got to get the rosaries in schools. 

    And if nothing comes out of this today but a bunch of people that go out and realize that the message is the message God gives to us. The message of the Shepherds of Christ is to help in the renewal of the world. If I get louder and stronger and you get quieter and more laid back what's going to happen when I die? Fr. Carter died. That's not the idea. The idea is to deliver the message. 

    Let our hearts be joined in the deepest love as we go to the Heart of Jesus and pray for our vocation for this mission. Because God has picked us and the proof in the pudding is the Virgin Mary on that building. Pray with this fervor within your heart. Take the suffering that you know that you have been asked to endure and make it work for this mission. 

    What if Fr. Carter when he was dying of cancer those last three months let all that suffering just fssssh. We got 250,000 rosaries in the school but it was because he knew discipline. He knew how to make his suffering work. 

    First of all, we have to look at St. Ignatius Spiritual Exercises and we have to say to ourselves what is God telling us to do. First of all, that man is created for the honor and glory of God. Once we've got that embedded in our brains that we're not doing this stuff for our own vain glory, we're on our way down a new road that's a good one. 

    Then at every retreat we look at ourselves, we pray for the grace that God shows us more our imperfections, that God helps us to deal more lovingly with one another, that we don't play games on our partners and the people we got to work with, that we keep going in humility and docility and asking God to mold us as the potter in the way that we need to be molded to do this mission because I'm telling you I'm now 58. That might not sound too old but my mom died when she was 48. This life is promised to no man. And if that burning desire to one with Him is in our hearts, our vision is always there and in the sweetness and love for us Our Lord may reach right down and take us up there at any time. 

God wants an order, the Shepherds of Christ order. And it's not going to come out of me becoming more dramatic and you getting less dramatic. It's going to come out of a consumption within your soul to take the vocation that God has given to you to help get the rosaries in the schools, to pray more fervently all through the day as you unite what you do to the Mass. A lot of our problems is, and I've said to myself, "Would God put Mary back on the building?"

God wants us to be loving, 
God wants us to be like saints, 
God wants us to work more and more in that union with one another where we are more perfected in doing God's will in every relationship and that is not going to happen, I'm telling you, 
brothers is what I hear in my mind from God,
that is not going to happen unless we pray for His grace for ourselves, grace to be the way God wants, 
more identified with Him in every moment.

I didn't call you to this.
Jesus called you to this.
Jesus called you to be a saint,.
Jesus called all of us to reach the ends 
of the earth with this mission.

If you get a calling that you feel 
that you are suppose to do something 
and you don't really end up doing it, 
getting upset with me is not going to help nothing.

It's just going to make it harder on me
and you're just going to keep getting the same inkling in your heart 
that the Lord is telling you to do something 
until finally you do it or you just I don't know. 

    Life is going to be the simplest for all of us when we progress more deeply in this spiritual realm of identifying with Him exactly the way He wants. 

    Ignatius has it so cool with the 3 classes of men, I mean that is exactly it. How is the attitude, the old bagger that takes the food and throws it at the people.

    Or the person that, I see Kathleen, she'll go up to these kids and she will say, "What's your name, how are you" and she'll bring a smile to their face but that's the love that's in her heart. She works on that love. And I'm not putting Kathleen on a pedestal and saying Kathleen is perfect. Kathleen is living the life that God wants her to live. 

    And that's not saying that you aren't doing it because I can go through this church and pick each and every one of the people in here and they are holy. I am here as a messenger to help us, to be able to reach more souls with this mission. And we will do that as we advance more spiritually. It's not like black or white, so if we get, something Bishop Sheen said today, "If you think you are in the same place that you were a year ago, you're behind." 

    Because if we're living we're always growing. We should be a lot further ahead in the spiritual life than we were last year. I think we had a few land marks that helped us to move ahead. But we are living to advance more deeply in the spiritual life and what that takes. One thing is, is it takes the truth. That other thing that I got yesterday was really good. It's like we're all sinners, we're all imperfect. And the way the world is today, that the world is thinking that, you know, a lot people think that sin is a thing of the past. Then we look at the ten commandments and then we see — well are they obeying the commandments out there. 

    And then we see — You see this thing with God, so God comes, the Son of God, He's sinless and He dies on the cross for the souls. Now you're being asked to do the same thing. (Rita got really, really loud here like the hurricane that was advancing at the same time she was speaking headed for Clearwater that miraculously turned.) You're being asked to pray as an intercessor, unite to the Mass because of your brothers that you love like Christ loved. We unite to that sacrifice, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, to help to bring down the grace for our brothers that we love. There's that same — what was that word John — John, are you awake — what was the word — how do you say it — vicarious — that's what it is.

    But it's, it's the little story of the kid that went to school and he cheated and they were going to expel him and then the brother comes in and then the brother says, "Oh don't expel my little brother, I'll take it. "

    That's what we're doing in this intercession that we're doing, we are seeing ourselves as intercessors. We are seeing our own sins but we are also seeing a lot of people that aren't obeying the commandments and we are uniting to Jesus in the Mass and offering ourselves, holy.

Did I ever finish the last mystery? 

I am just filled up, I'm filled up because it started yesterday with a 2 hour message from Jesus and that message on the internet is really important. These retreats take us to a different place. The more that we live the retreat, the more that we use the things that Ignatius is giving to us which I believe came from the Blessed Mother, the more we grow in the spiritual life and God is calling that of us. 

    We can't handle this stuff that he's giving to us unless we advance more deeply, to tow the mark, to realize how God hung on the cross and He didn't get off. To realize the joy of suffering, to say yes to what God has given to us, to be brothers in this mission because Christ is our brother and has called us to help to be intercessors for the precious souls He gave His life for. Just think of that, the loss of one soul. Doesn't that make you want to cry?

    We can get the attitude that every body that dies is going to heaven. I mean, we are down here for this purpose — to serve, to love God, to keep the commandments. 

    You have been called to be a Shepherds of Christ member is some way, shape or form or you wouldn't be here. Live your life more deeply united to the Mass and help me do what God has called us to do. With all your heart pray for this vocation and for the grace to advance more at every moment in the spiritual life because He has really called us to do things that are hard. 

    And the world will not understand what we are doing. The world says you're suffering, you take a pill. Jesus is saying look at me hanging on the cross, through the death there is the resurrection. And that is not saying that you go out put yourself a hair shirt on. That's saying that when you don't want to make up with Suzie Q. because she just really rubs you the wrong way, well probably the devil was in there doing that, you got to say, but God I do it for you. And that's not saying not to say something when something has to be said. God help me to do it right. Amen.

    And in the beauty of this piece that Our Lord ask me to play and in the words of our Holy Father that tells us this. See the thing of it is, is in the world today, you're not allowed to make a mistake. Your feet are not allowed to smell, you're not allowed to do something stupid. But the thing of it is, it's against our human nature, we're imperfect. We make the mistakes then we say we're sorry. If you're not allowed to be imperfect then we're going to have a problem every minute. The peace comes in living to love and serve Him, and in docility in recognizing our faults.

Sing: Be Not Afraid... Messenger:  Look at the barrenness of Abraham, the barrenness of Elizabeth, the barrenness as it seems of our world today and yet God shows us how the fruit was brought forth. In the end the Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign and there will be people living according to God's will. Barrenness.

Messenger:       The hurricane was headed for Clearwater and went
                                another way.

                                From that point on we have had 24
                            hour adoration in China. Jesus begged
                            people to help us with this. Little help
                            for adoration to cover the 24 hours 
                            has come from those other than servants,
                            handmaids and live-in-apostles. A couple of
                            very devout people have helped us in China
                            and I know God appreciates the fervor

Messenger:       I know our prayers in the Shepherds of Christ has affected

Mary speaks:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. I Am Alive!

Messenger:  Prayer is a lifting up of our minds and hearts to God. Who am I that I can change any event that is occurring in the lives of another, that I can affect the outcome of any event? I am a child of my Father. My Father is the Almighty God. How I love my dear Father. He is God and He has created me in His own image and likeness. My beloved, dear Father, how I love You that You give me such gifts - that You allow me to share in Your life!

You are the Father of Jesus and You are My Father. Thank You, My Father, for all Your gifts and for Your life. Who am I that I can affect the life of any person?

I am a child of God. I call on my dear Father and He loves me so, He listens to me. I lift my heart to You, my dear beloved Father and You listen to little me and You care for me so much. I call upon God and the Almighty God cares for me with such love that He listens.

Jesus speaks: Such truths have been given to you from My Father because of His great love for you. You are far more precious than the finest pearls, My beloved child. The Father so loved you He gave His Son so that you would have life. He gave His Son as a sacrifice for you. The Father gives to you His life through Jesus, His Son. You partake in His divine life.

I am Jesus, Son of the Living God. My life I give to you, I live in your being, My beloved, I impart to you My divine life.

How many turn their backs on the great gift of this life given from the Father. To know this life and to know all those who have rejected this great gift!

I am the Almighty God, My power is endless. The power and might you felt within yourself is only a small sampling of My immense power.

I am God and I am allowing you to experience what you are experiencing to spread My love to others. Your immense understanding into these mysteries will help you speak and write them for others.

I have chosen you as an instrument to touch many hearts and bring them to My divine love. Great gifts and understandings into these mysteries I am giving to you. You will lead many priests to the love of God.

I am alive. I am God. I long to be loved by man and many have turned their backs on Me and forgotten Me. You must tell them all I am allowing you to experience, these sufferings and understandings into My deep love.

This is the beginning of many days when I will allow you to experience the rejection I felt from those I loved. Your heart is in immense pain for the souls who reject Me despite My love for them.

I beg you to speak and write. Make reparation for souls that have forgotten My love. Spread the love of My Sacred Heart and My Mother's heart, throughout the world.

I love, I love, I love My beloved souls. I beg you to tell them. I beg Fr. Carter to tell every soul on this earth of My love. You will continue to suffer such pain and anguish in your heart. Suffer in silence for souls. I love so deeply and am so gravely offended!

I am Jesus, My dear, little child. I am alive and in this world. I live in the hearts of men, I live in the consecrated Host, I am forgotten and ignored and treated with such dishonor.

Speak for Me, I beg you to spread this love throughout this earth. I am sending you as missionaries into this world.

On this Ascension Thursday, I have given you great sufferings and great joy. I have allowed you to experience the highest ecstasies in My love and plunge you into deep pain in your heart for those who reject Me.

You, I send as missionaries to carry out the work I have begun. Be fearless and pray to the Spirit. This day I am giving you abundant graces to speak, and through this speaking, others are sent into this world as My apostles.

It is through the Shepherds of Christ Movement My love will be spread. Circulate My messages and rosary meditations. The love of the two Hearts will be known throughout this world through these messages and rosary meditations.

You will be fearless, everyone I send to you is a messenger to carry out My love. Circulate these letters with FIRE for I am delivering them to you in FIRE.

I am Jesus Christ, the Living God. I am allowing you to experience My life, alive in you and giving you these emotions to spread My love.

On this Ascension Thursday, I beg you to carry out the message to this world. Live My life in your life, every moment My life living within you.

I am the Way, I am the Truth, I am the Life. I have commissioned you to go out and to carry this message - the message of My immense love for ALL mankind, including My burning love for My priests and religious. Souls will turn their hearts to Me from these letters. This is the mighty medicine to turn a sick, cold world to hearts filled with the love of God.

Prayer, My beloved ones, is the lifting up of your minds and hearts to God. When you intercede to Me through My Mother's heart, I will pour out My greatest mercy.

I will not refuse hearts begging for grace for their loved ones. Pray from your whole being. Let My life live in you.

You can pray and ask God to send help. You do not know the power of a heartfelt prayer. I listen to your prayers. The Father and Holy Spirit are listening to your prayers. The more you unite with God, the greater you intercessory prayer. I am Jesus. I am alive this day. I ask you to spread My messages to the world. I am crying out in your heart on this Ascension Thursday. I ascended into heaven and I have left behind you to carry out what I began. I am with you. I am alive this day. I will unite with you and the earth will know the power of the Almighty God. I am Jesus Christ, Chief Shepherd of the flock. Lead My little ones home - home to the burning embers of My Most Sacred Heart, through My Mother's heart.

Messenger: I cried so hard, I have never been so immersed in heartache. I heard Him shout, "I Am Alive, I Am Alive." I cried so hard, I could hardly write.

I know Him. He is alive in my being. My soul is filled with His love. I live the life of Jesus and Mary in my life. I love His life, her life - their presence forever with me. From this great gift, these rosary meditations, His life has become one with mine. I feel His life in the Mass. I hear Mary under the cross. I hear the cries for the souls going to hell for their willfulness and sins. I hear the laments of Jesus in the tabernacle - how He longs and thirsts for souls and is neglected and ignored. I hear Him tell of the sacrileges committed against the Holy Eucharist.

I heard Him this day. I felt His presence and the presence of the Almighty God as He cries out, "I am alive, I am alive, I am alive."

He is alive. We have the Mass. He gives us Himself in the Eucharist. Mary is appearing, we are given this rosary. We are sent as soldiers by Him in the Shepherds of Christ. We are thirsting for union with Him, sent by Him, apostles to go out to this world and spread His love, one with the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, one with the Trinity. He will light this earth with hearts on fire for love of Him.

Jesus speaks: I come to you with greatest love, I am your loving Savior, I am your God, I died for you, I come to you this day.

The earth shakes and the Son of Man appears. He lives in the hearts of all. I want hearts on FIRE for love of Me. I want vibrancy and love from My beloved ones. Hold not back My love from this world.

Messenger: I adore you, Oh Lord, I praise you, I worship you, I bless Him with my whole soul. My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and holy, holy is His name! Jesus wants souls that are holy, on fire with the love of Jesus. Make novenas to the Holy Spirit to have hearts on FIRE with the love of God. Sound the trumpet, sound the gong - Jesus LIVES - He lives this day! Alleluia.

Sunday is a special day to praise Him, to love Him, to pray to Him - His day to be honored and worshipped in a special way. Pray from a pure and holy heart, a heart that sings for love of the Lord. Pray from your whole being.

1 The Mystery of Christ and             Christian Existence

   ...In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.

    The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.

    At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ. St. Paul tells us: "I became a minister of this Church through the commission God gave me to preach among you his word in its fullness, that mystery hidden from ages and generations past but now revealed to his holy ones. God has willed to make known to them the glory beyond price which this mystery brings to the Gentiles—the mystery of Christ in you, your hope of glory. This is the Christ we proclaim while we admonish all men and teach them in the full measure of wisdom, hoping to make every man complete in Christ" (Col 1:25-28).

God had anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and because God was with him, Jesus went about doing good and curing all who had fallen into the power of the devil. Now we are witnesses to everything he did throughout the countryside of Judaea and in Jerusalem itself: and they killed him by hanging him on a tree, yet on the third day God raised him to life and allowed him to be seen, not by the whole people but only by certain witnesses that God had chosen beforehand.                         A city in darkness has seen a
                            great light -

 
                        My message to you My beloved ones
                            through My Movement Shepherds of Christ
                            is to dwell in the Immaculate
                            Heart of your Mother, the
                            New Eve and to go to My
                            Sacred Heart and to dwell there.

                            A man sat by the side of a
                        river and he watched the little
                        waves go in and out, he fell in
                        the river and he then drowned.

                            A man sat by the side of a
                        river and he watched the little
                        waves go in and out, he saw the
                        reflection of the sky above -
                        he saw the sun dance on the
                        water.

                            Later he refreshed himself
                        with enjoyment bathing in
                        the little body of water -
                        he came out refreshed, seeing
                        the wide vision of the skies and earth
                        surrounding the body of water.

                            You can put your nose in the
                        dirty water and climb in and be
                        lost forever or you can see with
                        the vision of God.

                            Some try to control everything
                        around them.

                            I give you a free will to love,
                        to sacrifice, to do My will.

                            Some are in such patterned
                        behavior they just automatically
                        fall in the river and almost drowned, but
                        because it is a patterned behavior
                        they do it anyway - their heart is
                        heavy, they hurt others, they
                        just keep doing it the old way
                        like the man falling in the river
                        on his nose, never to get out of
                        a pit of his own making.

                            Some intentionally hurt others
                        to emotionally control them. They
                        do not even see the old sick patterned
                        ways of their behavior where they focus
                        on themselves and their "snarly attitudes"
                        when they could build a bridge
                        leading to building My kingdom -
                        they give into satan and block the
                        very work they have set out to
                        accomplish because of punishing
                        others, controlling others, they are
                        gripped by a trap set by satan
                        like the man falling in the river -
                        for no reason, except habit, they
                        continue to stay in a locked box
                        and tear down the work of building
                        the bridge because they give into
                        possessive behavior, and they are tearing
                        down rather than building up.

                            A church was to be built
                        big and strong and reach the sky - a
                        man came with bags of manure
                        on his back - he was the foreman -
                        but every time he needed to do an
                        important task with the men
                        on the construction crew - one
                        of the bags of manure on his
                        back became so heavy he couldn't
                        stand it and he dropped it
                        right on the men -

                        They then had to leave the project
                            to clean themselves and the work
                            stopped.

                        Some men even contracted disease
                            from the bizarre behavior of
                            the foreman.

                        The crew was sick. The crew had
                            to listen to and deal with the
                            man carrying the bags of manure
                            and being in charge.

                            What will shake you into looking
                        into the mirror, into letting go to
                        My healing hand that lifts you from
                        the pit of old patterned behavior
                        because of jealousy, pride and
                        controlling others - emotionally or
                        passive-aggressive ways others
                        use to control others.

                            Some people are never happy.
                        They sit as the man on the river
                        and then continually fall in -
                        they give into the grip of satan -
                        they allow satan to manipulate
                        their actions.

                        The vision must be on the Resurrection -

                        Come out of your tombs -

                        Drop the old black cloths that
                            have tied you up like
                            a mummy and stopped My
                            work.

                        When you are in charge of a
                            big organization and the
                            demand inside to control
                            and manipulate others is stronger
                            than building up the company -
                            your company will soon fold.

                        Satan can come, grip your emotions,
                            you give into him, you are
                            not focusing on the will of
                            God - you are locked in a
                            dark vault with the stone
                            rolled up to your door -

                        Do you want to see the light of day -

                        Can you discern the spirits yourself -
                            do you tell others, but fail
                            to look at yourself -

                        Do you act on the promptings you
                            get inside and pride yourself
                            on being always right -

328. RULES FOR DISCERNMENT OF SPIRITS
II

Further rules for understanding the different movements produced in the soul. They serve for a more accurate discernment of spirits and are more suitable for the second week
  

329.  1.  It is characteristic of God and His Angels, when they act upon the soul, to give true happiness and spiritual joy, and to banish all the sadness and disturbances which are caused by the enemy.
   It is characteristic of the evil one to fight against such happiness and consolation by proposing fallacious reasonings, subtilties, and continual deceptions.

330.  2.  God alone can give consolation to the soul without any previous cause. It belongs solely to the Creator to come into a soul, to leave it, to act upon it, to draw it wholly to the love of His Divine Majesty. I said without previous cause, that is, without any preceding perception or knowledge of any subject by which a soul might be led to such a consolation through its own acts of intellect and will.

331.  3.  If a cause precedes, both the good angel and the evil spirit can give consolation to a soul, but for a quite different purpose. The good angel consoles for the progress of the soul, that it may advance and rise to what is more perfect. The evil spirit consoles for purposes that are the contrary, and that afterwards he might draw the soul to his own perverse intentions and wickedness.

332.  4.  It is a mark of the evil spirit to assume the appearance of an angel of light. He begins by suggesting thoughts that are suited to a devout soul, and ends by suggesting his own. For example, he will suggest holy and pious thoughts that are wholly in conformity with the sanctity of the soul. Afterwards, he will endeavor little by little to end by drawing the soul into his hidden snares and evil designs.

333.  5.  We must carefully observe the whole course of our thoughts. If the beginning and middle and end of the course of thoughts are wholly good and directed to what is entirely right, it is a sign that they are from the good angel. But the course of thoughts suggested to us may terminate in something evil, or distracting, or less good than the soul had formerly proposed to do. Again, it may end in what weakens the soul, or disquiets it; or by destroying the peace, tranquility, and quiet which it had before, it may cause disturbance to the soul. These things are a clear sign that the thoughts are proceeding from the evil spirit, the enemy of our progress and eternal salvation.

334.  6.  When the enemy of our human nature has been detected and recognized by the trail of evil marking his course and by the wicked end to which he leads us, it will be profitable for one who has been tempted to review immediately the whole course of the temptation. Let him consider the series of good thoughts, how they arose, how the evil one gradually attempted to make him step down from the state of spiritual delight and joy in which he was, till finally he drew him to his wicked designs. The purpose of this review is that once such an experience has been understood and carefully observed, we may guard ourselves for the future against the customary deceits of the enemy.

335.  7.  In souls that are progressing to greater perfection, the action of the good angel is delicate, gentle, delightful. It may be compared to a drop of water penetrating a sponge.
    The action of the evil spirit upon such souls is violent, noisy, and disturbing. It may be compared to a drop of water falling upon a stone.
    In souls that are going from bad to worse, the action of the spirits mentioned above is just the reverse. The reason for this is to be sought in the opposition or similarity of these souls to the different kinds of spirits. When the disposition is contrary to that of the spirits, they enter with noise and commotion that are easily perceived. When the disposition is similar to that of the spirits, they enter silently, as one coming into his own house when the doors are open.

336.  8.  When consolation is without previous cause, as was said, there can be no deception in it, since it can proceed from God our Lord only. But a spiritual person who has received such a consolation must consider it very attentively, and must cautiously distinguish the actual time of the consolation from the period which follows it. At such a time the soul is still fervent and favored with the grace and aftereffects of the consolation which has passed. In this second period the soul frequently forms various resolutions and plans which are not granted directly by God our Lord. They may come from our own reasoning on the relations of our concepts and on the consequences of our judgments, or they may come from the good or evil spirit. Hence, they must be carefully examined before they are given full approval and put into execution.

Ascension Thursday May 21, 1998

Jesus speaks:  (with great emotion)  COME OUT OF YOUR TOMBS, COME OUT I CALL YOU!!!!  I have imparted to you knowledge of myself, transforming your heart and soul to be more likened to mine.

I give you messages after the reception of the Eucharist for it is then I am most one with you. Put aside the thoughts of burgers and what have you in your minds and listen to Me you earthly beings.

Come out of your tombs, come out I call to you who slumber and sleep and do not hear the voice of the Mighty One. Your are like the dead that need to be raised. A trumpet horn blaring would not waken a man who is blind from birth. Only the Lord will unlock the minds of the senseless men, so foolish, but oh how I do indeed love them so.

Come out I tell you, I call you, in your sleepy state with scales in your eyes you do not see. If these scales were removed and a fresh lense graphed on the already existing eye, the men may see then clearly that I speak in these messages to bring about the Reign of My Heart and the triumph of the wailing woman's Heart on the earth.

I came, I gave the gifts and the world slept. My little ones, the apostles slept in the garden when my hour was at hand.

Oh my shanty little town, you are stuck indeed, in your ways. You walk the streets as blindmen and I shout to you.

My earth, come out of your tombs, come out and live a life rooted deeply in My Heart.

Messenger: I was in the cage, it was a prison held on all sides by bars, I cried, I screamed, I felt no way to escape and low and behold I turned and where I had thought I was totally enclosed, a whole wall was not even there and I gaily walked into the free night and the sun followed me as I walked.

Jesus speaks: Your earth is enclosed in a wall of their own making. They have put up walls to enclose themselves. They have traveled around in their little boxes and spit at the freedom that I wished to give them.

Freedom is in living according to God's will. Freedom is in Me.

Talk of chains, for you have some. You have bars and are enclosed in your stone or brick houses. A mighty fortress is your dwelling, you think. A mighty fortress is in the walls of My Heart. I am the gateway that leads to freedom. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Holy One of the Virgin Israel. I am the gateway to heaven. I am God!

Messenger: As I unite with Him in the most intimate experiences in the Eucharist, I become one in His desires and what He wants, I become more as He is. He is the life, He is the resurrection, He is God.

I become more in Him, His desires are my desires, the Father's Plan is imprinted in my soul during the Mass and the reception of the Eucharist and before the tabernacle. I am transformed immensely in those moments after Communion to being alive in Him.

God the Father: I am God, you are man, I have given My Son Jesus to you to unite your soul to Me. I am the Father, He is the First Born from the dead. Life will abound in heaven and on earth.

God has visited His people and now He Reigns. He has ransomed them with the Blood of the Lamb.

Messenger: Some time between Ascension Thursday, May 21, 1998 and Pentecost, May 31, 1998.

I saw a vision of an open door, the light within it resembled the light of the vision of March 26, 1996 that can be found in the Apostles Manual (p. 34-36).

The open door was glistening with this reflective golden color mirror-like light. I cannot describe, as I could not describe concerning the 3 main visions, the first being March 26, 1996.

The closest light I can describe to this is the sun reflecting on the water at Tom's Farm but this too leaves an emptiness to its description.

There was a little white sheep at the bottom of the open, glistening door and the little sheep hobbled over a small threshold and went in.

The door was rounded on the top, no corners, like a semi-circle on the top, and the wall surrounding this door was black. The light I describe was within this door and peered out to me in the vision.

I heard our Lord over and over again cry out during this period, "Come out of your tombs, dead, dead, dead, you are dead."

I heard the words similar to the message of May 21, 1998.

I was walled in on all sides – BARS – a prison of my own making. I turned and there was a wall missing and I gaily walked into the free night and the sun followed me as I walked.

I hear Jesus speak: "I am the gateway that leads to freedom."

I know the sea of glass from the vision of March 26, 1996. I know the open door from the vision.

I know the Power, I know the Intimate Burning Heart of Jesus in the Mass.

Jesus speaks: (Ascension Day May 21, 1998)

Your earth is enclosed in a wall of their own making. They have put up walls to enclose themselves. They have traveled around in their little boxes and spit at the freedom that I wish to give them.

Freedom is in living according to God's will, Freedom is in Me.

I Am Alive!

Messenger:  Prayer is a lifting up of our minds and hearts to God. Who am I that I can change any event that is occurring in the lives of another, that I can affect the outcome of any event? I am a child of my Father. My Father is the Almighty God. How I love my dear Father. He is God and He has created me in His own image and likeness. My beloved, dear Father, how I love You that You give me such gifts - that You allow me to share in Your life!

You are the Father of Jesus and You are My Father. Thank You, My Father, for all Your gifts and for Your life. Who am I that I can affect the life of any person?

I am a child of God. I call on my dear Father and He loves me so, He listens to me. I lift my heart to You, my dear beloved Father and You listen to little me and You care for me so much. I call upon God and the Almighty God cares for me with such love that He listens.

Jesus speaks: Such truths have been given to you from My Father because of His great love for you. You are far more precious than the finest pearls, My beloved child. The Father so loved you He gave His Son so that you would have life. He gave His Son as a sacrifice for you. The Father gives to you His life through Jesus, His Son. You partake in His divine life.

I am Jesus, Son of the Living God. My life I give to you, I live in your being, My beloved, I impart to you My divine life.

How many turn their backs on the great gift of this life given from the Father. To know this life and to know all those who have rejected this great gift!

I am the Almighty God, My power is endless. The power and might you felt within yourself is only a small sampling of My immense power.

I am God and I am allowing you to experience what you are experiencing to spread My love to others. Your immense understanding into these mysteries will help you speak and write them for others.

I have chosen you as an instrument to touch many hearts and bring them to My divine love. Great gifts and understandings into these mysteries I am giving to you. You will lead many priests to the love of God.

I am alive. I am God. I long to be loved by man and many have turned their backs on Me and forgotten Me. You must tell them all I am allowing you to experience, these sufferings and understandings into My deep love.

This is the beginning of many days when I will allow you to experience the rejection I felt from those I loved. Your heart is in immense pain for the souls who reject Me despite My love for them.

I beg you to speak and write. Make reparation for souls that have forgotten My love. Spread the love of My Sacred Heart and My Mother's heart, throughout the world.

I love, I love, I love My beloved souls. I beg you to tell them. I beg Fr. Carter to tell every soul on this earth of My love. You will continue to suffer such pain and anguish in your heart. Suffer in silence for souls. I love so deeply and am so gravely offended!

I am Jesus, My dear, little child. I am alive and in this world. I live in the hearts of men, I live in the consecrated Host, I am forgotten and ignored and treated with such dishonor.

Speak for Me, I beg you to spread this love throughout this earth. I am sending you as missionaries into this world.

On this Ascension Thursday, I have given you great sufferings and great joy. I have allowed you to experience the highest ecstasies in My love and plunge you into deep pain in your heart for those who reject Me.

You, I send as missionaries to carry out the work I have begun. Be fearless and pray to the Spirit. This day I am giving you abundant graces to speak, and through this speaking, others are sent into this world as My apostles.

It is through the Shepherds of Christ Movement My love will be spread. Circulate My messages and rosary meditations. The love of the two Hearts will be known throughout this world through these messages and rosary meditations.

You will be fearless, everyone I send to you is a messenger to carry out My love. Circulate these letters with FIRE for I am delivering them to you in FIRE.

I am Jesus Christ, the Living God. I am allowing you to experience My life, alive in you and giving you these emotions to spread My love.

On this Ascension Thursday, I beg you to carry out the message to this world. Live My life in your life, every moment My life living within you.

I am the Way, I am the Truth, I am the Life. I have commissioned you to go out and to carry this message - the message of My immense love for ALL mankind, including My burning love for My priests and religious. Souls will turn their hearts to Me from these letters. This is the mighty medicine to turn a sick, cold world to hearts filled with the love of God.

Prayer, My beloved ones, is the lifting up of your minds and hearts to God. When you intercede to Me through My Mother's heart, I will pour out My greatest mercy.

I will not refuse hearts begging for grace for their loved ones. Pray from your whole being. Let My life live in you.

You can pray and ask God to send help. You do not know the power of a heartfelt prayer. I listen to your prayers. The Father and Holy Spirit are listening to your prayers. The more you unite with God, the greater you intercessory prayer. I am Jesus. I am alive this day. I ask you to spread My messages to the world. I am crying out in your heart on this Ascension Thursday. I ascended into heaven and I have left behind you to carry out what I began. I am with you. I am alive this day. I will unite with you and the earth will know the power of the Almighty God. I am Jesus Christ, Chief Shepherd of the flock. Lead My little ones home - home to the burning embers of My Most Sacred Heart, through My Mother's heart.

Messenger: I cried so hard, I have never been so immersed in heartache. I heard Him shout, "I Am Alive, I Am Alive." I cried so hard, I could hardly write.

I know Him. He is alive in my being. My soul is filled with His love. I live the life of Jesus and Mary in my life. I love His life, her life - their presence forever with me. From this great gift, these rosary meditations, His life has become one with mine. I feel His life in the Mass. I hear Mary under the cross. I hear the cries for the souls going to hell for their willfulness and sins. I hear the laments of Jesus in the tabernacle - how He longs and thirsts for souls and is neglected and ignored. I hear Him tell of the sacrileges committed against the Holy Eucharist.

I heard Him this day. I felt His presence and the presence of the Almighty God as He cries out, "I am alive, I am alive, I am alive."

He is alive. We have the Mass. He gives us Himself in the Eucharist. Mary is appearing, we are given this rosary. We are sent as soldiers by Him in the Shepherds of Christ. We are thirsting for union with Him, sent by Him, apostles to go out to this world and spread His love, one with the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, one with the Trinity. He will light this earth with hearts on fire for love of Him.

Jesus speaks: I come to you with greatest love, I am your loving Savior, I am your God, I died for you, I come to you this day.

The earth shakes and the Son of Man appears. He lives in the hearts of all. I want hearts on FIRE for love of Me. I want vibrancy and love from My beloved ones. Hold not back My love from this world.

Messenger: I adore you, Oh Lord, I praise you, I worship you, I bless Him with my whole soul. My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and holy, holy is His name! Jesus wants souls that are holy, on fire with the love of Jesus. Make novenas to the Holy Spirit to have hearts on FIRE with the love of God. Sound the trumpet, sound the gong - Jesus LIVES - He lives this day! Alleluia.

Sunday is a special day to praise Him, to love Him, to pray to Him - His day to be honored and worshipped in a special way. Pray from a pure and holy heart, a heart that sings for love of the Lord. Pray from your whole being.

Angels Will Read the Message

December 20, 1993 - 2:40 a.m.

Jesus speaks: Who will read the message? Angels will read the message. I will be by their side. I want the messages out. I want them out, I tell you. I want My people to hear all I am telling you. I want, not a few, but all to hear these words. They are private revelations given by Me to My people. The souls are, oh, so hungry for this one. They need to get these messages.

I am one crying in the desert. Make ready the way of the Lord. Prepare ye a path for the Master. He comes as a child in a stable. His people are asleep. Where are they and what are they doing with their busy lives? The angels will read the messages. They will rock the heavens and all will know My love and My might. From the housetops, shout this. Proclaim, "The day of the Lord is approaching. Make ready a path for Him." Will you comply with this demand to deliver a message to My people?

Time, child, is so short. You must ready all with My words of love. They are half asleep and dazed. They walk this earth with blinders on their eyes. My day will rock them off their rockers and they will know it is I with Whom they deal. No mistake will be made as to what is happening. All will see My power and My might. From the heavens shall come a sign and all will know from whence it comes. And the days that follow will be days to prepare men's hearts for My coming. I will not come unannounced. I will come with My power and My might and you will know what you will behold. Men will turn their hearts to Me with these messages. Get them out, I tell you, for their need is very great. I am patient and yet I am demanding. Ready yourself for this day of the Lord. I come as a baby into your midst, the angels sing, the choirs of heaven rejoice and you will know soon that I am very close to you all. Indeed you will know!

What awaits those in their feeble hearts! They run after such useless things when I, God, am talking in these letters. They think their world is their end. What an awakening they will have-a wide awakening!

I knock to make ready for My coming. You hear Me knock on your door in the night. Make ready this path so My people will read these letters of love. I am mighty and worthy of such praise. My people must realize My love in My intense might. What sign do you need? Do you think these messages were for your ears alone? Such power and wisdom in Rita's purse? This is not the idea. They are for all! My ease goes with you in all your undertakings to get these messages out.

Slow, too slow, I tell you. Shout My message from the housetops, that I am Lord and I am coming in your midst as a baby, but, with such might! My time is at hand. You tarry too long, My little ones. Time you do not have. This world is crazy! People are so busy at the malls. Oh, what foolish ones. I come as a baby into your midst. This is My birthday and whom do you worship? You worship idols! It is all such a sick world. Make ready My path, My little ones. Time is so short and you must not tarry any longer for into your hands I place My words for the world. They are mighty, little ones. Read them! What do you do with these words? Do you want proof? Look at Me hanging on the cross. It is out of this love of you I died a brutal death! Do you think I would not go to this extent to save the souls of My loved ones? Why would I come to this earth, give My life for all My beautiful creatures, and then, at this stage of the game, not send some mighty medicine to cure My sick little ones? You possess the mighty medicine. I mixed it with such love and I hand-deliver each message to shake My people to My love. The heavens will rock and the Son of Man will appear on a cloud and the glory of the Lord will be shown on high!

Get busy, you little people. The angels declare My words are given here. This is My gift to My people-distinct, clear letters proclaiming My love. Are you listening? Do you think I would not try everything to save My beloved ones?

Oh, I will go to any extent to save these little ones, so ornery and so stupid in their ways, so sinful in this evil world, but so precious to Me. I will come in My glory and I want every last soul.

I am God. Why would I not speak to you? I wait for you. I wait, I wait, but you are all so blind and dense. What you do is so silly. Your ways here have become sick and your hearts have become hard. But shout it from the housetops! I loved you to My death! I love you all in your sickness. I want you united under the mantle of My mother, praying and honoring God.

America, turn yourselves around before it is too late. Come and heed My harkening. Come, come, My children. Time is so short and a lot of mending must be done in your hearts. You have hardened them and now they must come back to life. Only I can give you this life in your hearts.

Heed My words here. I am gentle and kind in heart. My heart is a heart of love. I have hand-delivered these messages to My people and you are My delivery boys. Get them going, little ones. You tarry too much.

My gift to My people is My love this Christmas. I am showering all at this Center with grace this season. The devotion there pleases Me, but more must flock and they will be changed from hardened hearts to hearts for God. I am God, little ones. I came and I died a brutal death. I am calling to you all to deliver this now. Make this your top priority so they will hear My message of love and know the love I have for them. Do not tarry. Do this today, little ones.

John 20: 1-9

It was very early on the first day of the week and still dark, when Mary of Magdala came to the tomb. She saw that the stone had been moved away from the tomb and came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. ‘They have taken the Lord out of the tomb,’ she said, ‘and we don’t know where they have put him.’ 

    So Peter set out with the other disciple to go to the tomb. They ran together, but the other disciple, running faster than Peter, reached the tomb first; he bent down and saw the linen cloths lying on the ground, but did not go in. Simon Peter, following him, also came up, went into the tomb, saw the linen cloths lying on the ground and also the cloth that had been over his head; this was not with the linen cloths but rolled up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in; he saw and he believed. Till this moment they had still not understood the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.

   

Acts 2: 42-47

These remained faithful to the teaching of the apostles, to the brotherhood, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers.

    And everyone was filled with awe; the apostles worked many signs and miracles.

    And all who shared the faith owned everything in common; they sold their goods and possessions and distributed the proceeds among themselves according to what each one needed.

    Each day, with one heart, they regularly went to the Temple but met in their houses for the breaking of bread; they shared their food gladly and generously; they praised God and were looked up to by everyone. Day by day the Lord added to their community those destined to be saved.

 

 

1 Peter 1: 3-9

Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in his great mercy has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into a heritage that can never be spoilt or soiled and never fade away. It is reserved in heaven for you who are being kept safe by God’s power through faith until the salvation which has been prepared is revealed at the final point of time.

This is a great joy to you, even though for a short time yet you must bear all sorts of trials; so that the worth of your faith, more valuable than gold, which is perishable even if it has been tested by fire, may be proved—to your praise and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed. You have not seen him, yet you love him; and still without seeing him you believe in him and so are already filled with a joy so glorious that it cannot be described; and you are sure of the goal of your faith, that is, the salvation of your souls.

     

John 20: 19-31

In the evening of that same day, the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the room where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, ‘Peace be with you,’ and, after saying this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy at seeing the Lord, and he said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. 

    ‘As the Father sent me, 
    so am I sending you.’ 

After saying this he breathed on them and said: 

    Receive the Holy Spirit. 
    If you forgive anyone’s sins, 
    they are forgiven; 
    if you retain anyone’s sins, 
    they are retained. 

    Thomas, called the Twin, who was one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples said to him, ‘We have seen the Lord,’ but he answered, ‘Unless I can see the holes that the nails made in his hands and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe.’ Eight days later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. The doors were closed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. ‘Peace be with you,’ he said. Then he spoke to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put it into my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.’ Thomas replied, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him: 

    You believe because you can see me. 
    Blessed are those who have not seen 
        and yet believe.

There were many other signs that Jesus worked in the sight of the disciples, but they are not recorded in this book. These are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing this you may have life through his name.

DAILY NOVENA PRAYERS

Opening Prayer

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dear Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus, in union with Him in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in the Holy Spirit. We come to You united to the Child Jesus of Good Health and the Infant of Prague. We come to You in the perfect, sinless heart of Our Mother Mary, asking her powerful intercession, uniting ourselves to her holy tears. We come to You united to all the angels and saints, and the souls in purgatory.

Prayer for Holy Spirit

We pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on us, to be baptized by the Holy Spirit, that He will descend mightily on us as He did on the Apostles at Pentecost. That the Holy Spirit will transform us from fear to fearlessness and that He will give us courage to do all the Father is asking of us to help bring about the Reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart. We pray for the Holy Spirit to descend mightily on the Jesuits and the Poor Clares on the Shepherds of Christ leaders and members and on the whole Body of Christ and the world.

Protection by the Blood of Jesus

We pray that the Blood of Jesus will be spread on us, everyone in our families, and the Shepherds of Christ Movement, that we will be able to move steadfastly ahead and be protected from the evil one.

Healing

We pray for healing in body, mind, and soul and generational healing in ourselves, in all members in our families, and in all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, the Jesuit Community, the Poor Clares, the Body of Christ, and the world.

Prayer for Strength and Light

We adore You, oh Holy Spirit. Give us strength, give us light, console us. We give ourselves entirely to You. Oh Spirit of light and grace, we want to only do the will of the Father. Enlighten us that we may live always in the Father's will.

Eternal Spirit fill us with Your Divine Wisdom that we may comprehend more fully insight into Your Divine Mysteries.

Give us lights, Oh Holy Spirit that we may know God. Work within the heart, the spiritual womb of the Virgin Mary, to form us more and more into the image of Jesus.

Prayer to Be One with God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit

We long for You, Oh Spirit of Light, we long to know God, we want to be one with Him, our Divine God. We want to be one with the Father, know Him as a Person most intimately. We want to know the beloved One, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and live and dwell in Him at all times, every moment of our lives. We want to be one with You, Oh Spirit of Light, that You move in us in our every breath.

Prayer to Be One in Jesus

Let us experience life in the Sacred Heart of Jesus, so we can say as Saint Paul, "I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me...." Let us live, united to the Mass, all through the day being one in Him. Let us be able to love and know in this elevated state of oneness with our God. We long for Thee, oh beauteous God, we love You, we love You, we love You. We praise You, worship You, honor You, adore You, and thank You, our beloved God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Prayer to Dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary

We seek to be one in God, to live and dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, our little heaven on earth, to experience life in the all perfect, pure, sinless heart of our Mother. We want the Holy Spirit to move in us and to be united to Jesus as the Bridegroom of our souls and be a most perfect sacrifice offered to the Father at every moment as we unite in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass around the world to help in the salvation of souls.

Prayer for the Holy Spirit and His Gifts

Come Holy Spirit, come, come into our hearts, inflame all people with the fire of Your love.

Leader: Send forth Your Spirit and all will be reborn.
All:  And You will renew the face of the earth.

We pray for the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, we ask for perfection in our souls to make us holy, holy souls likened to God.

Dear Holy Spirit, we give ourselves to You soul and body. We ask You to give us the Spirit of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord.

Prayer for the Word Alive in Our Hearts

We know, dear Holy Spirit, the Word in His human nature was brought forth within the womb of the woman. We pray that His word will be brought forth in our hearts as He lives and dwells in us. We want the incarnation to go on in our lives. Dear Holy Spirit, work in us.

Little Prayers to the Holy Spirit

Dear Holy Spirit, help us not to be ignorant or indifferent or weak, help us to be strong with the love of God.

A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

   

First Period
Meditations Nine Days

1. Romans 8:14-17
   
   All who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God; for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!' The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God. And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that we share his suffering, so as to share his glory.
2. Romans 8:5-9
   
   Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires; those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things. And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life and peace, because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God's Law, and indeed it cannot, and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God. You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made a home in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
3. 1 John 4:12-16
   
   No one has ever seen God, but as long as we love one another God remains in us and his love comes to its perfection in us. This is the proof that we remain in him and he in us, that he has given us a share in his Spirit. We ourselves have seen and testify that the Father sent his Son as Saviour of the world. Anyone who acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him and he in God. We have recognised for ourselves, and put our faith in, the love God has for us. God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him.
4. 1 John 4:17-21
   
   Love comes to its perfection in us when we can face the Day of Judgement fearlessly, because even in this world we have become as he is. In love there is no room for fear, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear implies punishment and no one who is afraid has come to perfection in love. Let us love, then, because he first loved us. Anyone who says 'I love God' and hates his brother, is a liar, since whoever does not love the brother whom he can see cannot love God whom he has not seen. Indeed this is the commandment we have received from him, that whoever loves God, must also love his brother.
5. 1 John 4:7-11
   
   My dear friends, let us love one another, since love is from God and everyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever fails to love does not know God, because God is love. This is the revelation of God's love for us, that God sent his only Son into the world that we might have life through him. Love consists in this: it is not we who loved God, but God loved us and sent his Son to expiate our sins. My dear friends, if God loved us so much, we too should love one another.
6. Acts of the Apostles 1:1-5
   
   In my earlier work, Theophilus, I dealt with everything Jesus had done and taught from the beginning until the day he gave his instructions to the apostles he had chosen through the Holy Spirit, and was taken up to heaven. He had shown himself alive to them after his Passion by many demonstrations: for forty days he had continued to appear to them and tell them about the kingdom of God. While at table with them, he had told them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait there for what the Father had promised. 'It is', he had said, 'what you have heard me speak about: John baptised with water but, not many days from now, you are going to be baptised with the Holy Spirit.'
7. Acts of the Apostles 1:6-9
   
   Now having met together, they asked him, 'Lord, has the time come for you to restore the kingdom to Israel?' He replied, 'It is not for you to know times or dates that the Father has decided by his own authority, but you will receive the power of the Holy Spirit which will come on you, and then you will be my witnesses not only in Jerusalem but throughout Judaea and Samaria, and indeed to earth's remotest end.'
   
   As he said this he was lifted up while they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight.
8. Acts of the Apostles 1:12-14
   
   So from the Mount of Olives, as it is called, they went back to Jerusalem, a short distance away, no more than a Sabbath walk; and when they reached the city they went to the upper room where they were staying; there were Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Jude son of James. With one heart all these joined constantly in prayer, together with some women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
    
9. Acts of the Apostles 2:1-4
   
   When Pentecost day came round, they had all met together, when suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a violent wind which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues as of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak different languages as the Spirit gave them power to express themselves.

   

Second Period
Meditations Nine Days

1. John 14:21-31
   
   Whoever holds to my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me; and whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I shall love him and reveal myself to him.'
   
   Judas-not Judas Iscariot-said to him, 'Lord, what has happened, that you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?' Jesus replied:
   
   Anyone who loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him. Anyone who does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not my own: it is the word of the Father who sent me. I have said these things to you while still with you; but the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you. Peace I bequeath to you, my own peace I give you, a peace which the world cannot give, this is my gift to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. You heard me say: I am going away and shall return. If you loved me you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. I have told you this now, before it happens, so that when it does happen you may believe. I shall not talk to you much longer, because the prince of this world is on his way. He has no power over me, but the world must recognise that I love the Father and that I act just as the Father commanded. Come now, let us go.
2. John 17:11-26
   
   I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep those you have given me true to your name, so that they may be one like us. While I was with them, I kept those you had given me true to your name. I have watched over them and not one is lost except one who was destined to be lost, and this was to fulfil the scriptures. But now I am coming to you and I say these things in the world to share my joy with them to the full. I passed your word on to them, and the world hated them, because they belong to the world no more than I belong to the world. I am not asking you to remove them from the world, but to protect them from the Evil One. They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world, and for their sake I consecrate myself so that they too may be consecrated in truth. I pray not only for these but also for those who through their teaching will come to believe in me. May they all be one, just as, Father, you are in me and I am in you, so that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe it was you who sent me. I have given them the glory you gave to me, that they may be one as we are one. With me in them and you in me, may they be so perfected in unity that the world will recognise that it was you who sent me and that you have loved them as you have loved me.
   
   Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, so that they may always see my glory which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. Father, Upright One, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these have known that you have sent me. I have made your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and so that I may be in them.
3. I Corinthians 15:20-28
   
   In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.
4. Revelation 3:1-3,12,16-19
   
   'Write to the angel of the church in Sardis and say, "Here is the message of the one who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars: I know about your behaviour: how you are reputed to be alive and yet are dead. Wake up; put some resolve into what little vigour you have left: it is dying fast. So far I have failed to notice anything in your behaviour that my God could possibly call perfect; remember how you first heard the message. Hold on to that. Repent! If you do not wake up, I shall come to you like a thief, and you will have no idea at what hour I shall come upon you.
   
   Anyone who proves victorious I will make into a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, and it will stay there for ever; I will inscribe on it the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem which is coming down from my God in heaven, and my own new name as well.
   
   '...but since you are neither hot nor cold, but only lukewarm, I will spit you out of my mouth. You say to yourself: I am rich, I have made a fortune and have everything I want, never realising that you are wretchedly and pitiably poor, and blind and naked too. I warn you, buy from me the gold that has been tested in the fire to make you truly rich, and white robes to clothe you and hide your shameful nakedness, and ointment to put on your eyes to enable you to see. I reprove and train those whom I love: so repent in real earnest.'
5. Revelation 5:9-14
   
   They sang a new hymn: You are worthy to take the scroll and to break its seals, because you were sacrificed, and with your blood you bought people for God of every race, language, people and nation and made them a line of kings and priests for God, to rule the world.
   
   In my vision, I heard the sound of an immense number of angels gathered round the throne and the living creatures and the elders; there were ten thousand times ten thousand of them and thousands upon thousands, loudly chanting:

Worthy is the Lamb that was sacrificed to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing.

Then I heard all the living things in creation-everything that lives in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, crying:

To the One seated on the throne and to the Lamb, be all praise, honour, glory and power, for ever and ever.

And the four living creatures said, 'Amen'; and the elders prostrated themselves to worship.

6. Revelation 7:14-17
   
   I answered him, 'You can tell me, sir.' Then he said, 'These are the people who have been through the great trial; they have washed their robes white again in the blood of the Lamb. That is why they are standing in front of God's throne and serving him day and night in his sanctuary; and the One who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. They will never hunger or thirst again; sun and scorching wind will never plague them, because the Lamb who is at the heart of the throne will be their shepherd and will guide them to springs of living water; and God will wipe away all tears from their eyes.'
7. Revelation 12:1-8
   
   Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, robed with the sun, standing on the moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant, and in labour, crying aloud in the pangs of childbirth. Then a second sign appeared in the sky: there was a huge red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and each of the seven heads crowned with a coronet. Its tail swept a third of the stars from the sky and hurled them to the ground, and the dragon stopped in front of the woman as she was at the point of giving birth, so that it could eat the child as soon as it was born. The woman was delivered of a boy, the son who was to rule all the nations with an iron sceptre, and the child was taken straight up to God and to his throne, while the woman escaped into the desert, where God had prepared a place for her to be looked after for twelve hundred and sixty days.
   
   And now war broke out in heaven, when Michael with his angels attacked the dragon. The dragon fought back with his angels, but they were defeated and driven out of heaven.
8. Revelation 14:1-7
   
   Next in my vision I saw Mount Zion, and standing on it the Lamb who had with him a hundred and forty-four thousand people, all with his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. I heard a sound coming out of heaven like the sound of the ocean or the roar of thunder; it was like the sound of harpists playing their harps. There before the throne they were singing a new hymn in the presence of the four living creatures and the elders, a hymn that could be learnt only by the hundred and forty-four thousand who had been redeemed from the world. These are the sons who have kept their virginity and not been defiled with women they follow the Lamb wherever he goes; they, out of all people, have been redeemed to be the first-fruits for God and for the Lamb. No lie was found in their mouths and no fault can be found in them.
   
   Then I saw another angel, flying high overhead, sent to announce the gospel of eternity to all who live on the earth, every nation, race, language and tribe. He was calling, 'Fear God and glorify him, because the time has come for him to sit in judgement; worship the maker of heaven and earth and sea and the springs of water.'
   
   Revelation 19: 7-8
   
   let us be glad and joyful and give glory to God, because this is the time for the marriage of the Lamb. His bride is ready, and she has been able to dress herself in dazzling white linen, because her linen is made of the good deeds of the saints.'
9. Revelation 21:1-10
   
   Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, 'Look, here God lives among human beings. He will make his home among them; they will be his people, and he will be their God, God-with-them. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.'
   
   Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. 'Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this, "What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true."' Then he said to me, 'It has already happened. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give water from the well of life free to anybody who is thirsty; anyone who proves victorious will inherit these things; and I will be his God and he will be my son. But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers and the sexually immoral, and for sorcerers, worshippers of false gods or any other sort of liars, is the second death in the burning lake of sulphur.'
   
   One of the seven angels that had the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came to speak to me and said, 'Come here and I will show you the bride that the Lamb has married.' In the spirit, he carried me to the top of a very high mountain, and showed me Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down out of heaven from God.
   
   Revelation 22:20
   
   The one who attests these things says: I am indeed coming soon.

Chapter Meeting Prayer Format

The prayer format below should be followed at chapter meetings of Shepherds of Christ Associates. All prayers, not just those said specifically for priests, should include the intention of praying for all the needs of priests the world over.

1. Hymns. Hymns may be sung at any point of the prayer part of the meeting.

2. Holy Spirit Prayer. Come, Holy Spirit, almighty Sanctifier, God of love, who filled the Virgin Mary with grace, who wonderfully changed the hearts of the apostles, who endowed all Your martyrs with miraculous courage, come and sanctify us. Enlighten our minds, strengthen our wills, purify our consciences, rectify our judgment, set our hearts on fire, and preserve us from the misfortunes of resisting Your inspirations. Amen.

3. The Rosary.

4. Salve Regina. "Hail Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, our mourning, our weeping in this vale of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary."

5. The Memorare. "Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but, in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen."

6. Seven Hail Marys in honor of the Seven Sorrows of Mary. Mary has promised very special graces to those who do this on a daily basis. Included in the promises of Our Lady for those who practice this devotion is her pledge to give special assistance at the hour of death, including the sight of her face. The seven sorrows are:

(1) The first sorrow: the prophecy of Simeon (Hail Mary).

(2) The second sorrow: the flight into Egypt (Hail Mary).

(3) The third sorrow: the loss of the Child Jesus in the temple (Hail Mary).

(4) The fourth sorrow: Jesus and Mary meet on the way to the cross (Hail Mary).

(5) The fifth sorrow: Jesus dies on the cross (Hail Mary).

(6) The sixth sorrow: Jesus is taken down from the cross and laid in Mary's arms (Hail Mary).

(7) The seventh sorrow: the burial of Jesus (Hail Mary).

8. Prayer to St. Joseph. St. Joseph, guardian of Jesus and chaste spouse of Mary, you passed your life in perfect fulfillment of duty. You supported the Holy Family of Nazareth with the work of your hands. Kindly protect those who trustingly turn to you. You know their aspirations, their hardships, their hopes; and they turn to you because they know you will understand and protect them. You too have known trial, labor, and weariness. But, even amid the worries of material life, your soul was filled with deep peace and sang out in true joy through intimacy with the Son of God entrusted to you, and with Mary, His tender Mother. Promises of Our Lord to those devoted to His Sacred Heart
(these should be read by the prayer leader):

(1) I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.

(2) I will establish peace in their homes.

(3) I will comfort them in all their afflictions.

(4) I will be their refuge during life and above all in death.

(5) I will bestow a large blessing on all their undertakings.

(6) Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.

(7) Tepid souls shall grow fervent.

(8) Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.

(9) I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored.

(10) I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.

(11) Those who promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.

(12) I promise you in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the first Friday in nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their sacraments; My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

10. Prayer for Priests. "Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the Flock, we pray that in the great love and mercy of Your Sacred Heart You attend to all the needs of Your priest-shepherds throughout the world. We ask that You draw back to Your Heart all those priests who have seriously strayed from Your path, that You rekindle the desire for holiness in the hearts of those priests who have become lukewarm, and that You continue to give Your fervent priests the desire for the highest holiness. United with Your Heart and Mary's Heart, we ask that You take this petition to Your heavenly Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen"

11. Prayer for all members of the Shepherds of Christ Associates. "Dear Jesus, we ask Your special blessings on all members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. Continue to enlighten them regarding the very special privilege and responsibility you have given them as members of Your movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates. Draw them ever closer to Your Heart and to Your Mother's Heart. Allow them to more and more realize the great and special love of Your Hearts for each of them as unique individuals. Give them the grace to respond to Your love and Mary's love with an increased love of their own. As they dwell in Your Heart and Mary's Heart, abundantly care for all their needs and those of their loved ones. We make our prayer through You to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with Mary our Mother at our side. Amen"

12. Prayer for the spiritual and financial success of the priestly newsletter. "Father, we ask Your special blessings upon the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ. We ask that You open the priest-readers to the graces You wish to give them through this chosen instrument of Your Son. We also ask that You provide for the financial needs of the newsletter and the Shepherds of Christ Associates. We make our prayer through Jesus, in the Holy Spirit, with Mary at our side. Amen"

13. Prayer for all members of the human family. "Heavenly Father, we ask Your blessings on all Your children the world over. Attend to all their needs. We ask Your special assistance for all those marginalized people, all those who are so neglected and forgotten. United with our Mother Mary, we make this petition to You through Jesus and in the Holy Spirit."

14. Prayer to St. Michael and our Guardian Angels:

"St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen."

"Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen."

15. Pause for silent, personal prayer. This should last at least five minutes.

16. Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

"Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!

"Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock."

17. Daily Prayers. All members should say the Holy Spirit prayer daily and make the act of consecration daily. They should also pray the rosary each day. They are encouraged to use the other above prayers as time allows.

Cling to Me

Jesus speaks: My dear child, if you stay close to Me, then I live in you and you live in Me. I am He Who created you and I love you with such an intensity that you will never know. My words are your truth. You must abide in My heart in all things. There is no room for doubt. My ways are steadfast, direct, and without error.

    You must stay rooted in Me to ward off the power of the evil one. His grip is paralyzing and crippling. His power is stronger every day.

    When you live in Me, I am in your heart and he has no power over Me. I am your God. I am your true lover. I want to protect you. I want to guard you from this force. Stay rooted firmly in Me and he will have no power.

    I am He Who comforts you. My hand is upon you. Hold tight to Me, My child. My eyes are fixed right on you. You are My most precious child. I love you as no other can. My arms are about you. My tenderness surrounds you. My love is in your heart. You go not alone. I walk with you.

    I share every aspect of your life with you. Cling to Me, feel My presence. It is warm and secure within your chest. There is no room for fear, for I cast out fear and bring you comfort and joy.
