R. Sin offends God so much
Jesus died for our sins
We can minimize sin
Satan says - you didn't sin
Satan doesn't want the truth
Satan is a liar
Satan wants prideful men, sinning
God loves us so much
He sent His Son Jesus into the
world to pay for our sins
Our whole life is to be our 'yes' to
the Father's will
Our 'yes' in love to serve God with our
whole heart, our whole soul, our
whole being
We see the shedding of blood of the Old Testament
Christ, the Lamb of God, shed His Blood
for us
Mary's image appeared in Clearwater December 17, 1996
I got this message about blood 2 days
later and 5 days later
Excerpt from December 19, 1996
...And the light shown in the darkness and the darkness grasped it not, but to as many as responded, they became the children of the light and from them His life flowed into the hearts that were cold and dark and slowly, very slowly, the light began to steal across the darkened sky and the moon was covered with blood. The blood was the blood of the Lamb. The blood represented the blood He shed to give us life. But the blind just saw ordinary blood and were scared to death. They responded with the greatest fright and lacked peace, but those rooted in God, those whose hearts were consecrated to Mary and Jesus, knew the sign was from Godthat the time of reckoning was at hand. Many were punished and suffered a great chastisement. Many were left to death, but the children of light prayed the rosary and trusted in God...

Excerpt from December 22, 1996
Jesus: ...And the moon will be covered with blood. It was the blood of the Lamb and it poured forth on a sinful world to cleanse them of their sin, and I give you My Body and Blood in the Mass and I am ignored...
end of except
R. Men rejected the self-communication
of God in original sin
Yet God's desire to give Himself to man
was not withdrawn
God determined to save man from his
sinfulness and thereafter
the divine communication
centered around the promised Redeemer
In the age prior to the coming of Christ,
salvation history was rooted in the Mosaic
period
At the heart of this Mosaic era was the
great salvific event of the exodus
Through this event Yahweh led the Israelites
out of Egyptian slavery and under
Moses formed them into His People
Blood, Fr. Carter says, signifies life for the Jews
Yahweh and His People were sealed with
sacrificial blood
That night, I shall go through Egypt and strike down all the first-born in Egypt, man and beast alike, and shall execute justice on all the gods of Egypt, I, Yahweh! The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are. When I see the blood I shall pass over you, and you will escape the destructive plague when I strike Egypt.
R. Covenant
the gift of God's love given to man
His undaunted love
Relationship is love
Agreement, Pack
As man, Christ makes the perfect
response to God for all men
This response includes both His
love for His Father and His
relationship in love with men
John 17: 20-26
I pray not only for these
but also for those
who through their teaching
will come to believe in me.
May they all be one,
just as, Father, you are in me
and I am in you,
so that they also may be in us,
so that the world may believe
it was you who sent me.
I have given them the glory
you gave to me,
that they may be one as we are one.
With me in them and you in me,
may they be so perfected in unity
that the world will recognise
that it was you who sent me
and that you have loved them
as you have loved me.Father,
I want those you have given me
to be with me where I am,
so that they may always see my glory
which you have given me
because you loved me
before the foundation of the world.
Father, Upright One,
the world has not known you,
but I have known you,
and these have known
that you have sent me.
I have made your name known to them a
nd will continue to make it known,
so that the love with which you loved me
may be in them,
and so that I may be in them.
R. The entire life of Christ was this
perfect response
Christ's response was centered in death/resurrection
Christ conquered sin and He rose into
a more perfect type of life,
the life of Resurrection
It was through His Blood which
made the transition possible
and which sealed the new
covenant
We are incorporated into Christ
through baptism
We are to live this special life in
Christ in holiness and love
growing in greater intimacy
with the God-head
The life of holiness, Fr. Carter says, is to
be lived out in community
"In other words, the Christian",
Fr. Carter says, "lives in Christ within
the People of God within the Church.
This stress of contemporary
spirituality upon the communal aspect
of Christian holiness is firmly rooted
in God's revealed truth.
Throughout salvation history God has
lovingly communicated Himself to
man within the covenant framework
with its communal dimension.
He has also asked for man's response
in love within this same covenant
framework."
"The Church", Fr. Carter says "in union with
Christ is the new covenant.
Since Christ is Head of His Church,
it follows that the Church with her
members must live out the covenant
life according to the structure which
Christ gives her.
The Christian life is a response to God's
gift of Himself
Each Christian has a special responsibility
and privilege. No one else can offer
Christ the unique opportunity of
reincarnating Himself as can
this or that particular Christian
To the extent that he fails to do so, to that
degree Christ has lost the opportunity
to reincarnate Himself through
this humanity
The Christian life can be conceived as
the Christian permitting Christ to live
more and more through his total person"
Galatians 2: 20
and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me. The life that I am now living, subject to the limitation of human nature, I am living in faith, faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.
R. The ways we allow Christ to live in us
is rooted in love
Love of the Father
Love of men
1 John 4: 17-21
Love comes to its perfection in us when we can face the Day of Judgement fearlessly, because even in this world we have become as he is. In love there is no room for fear, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear implies punishment and no one who is afraid has come to perfection in love. Let us love, then, because he first loved us. Anyone who says 'I love God' and hates his brother, is a liar, since whoever does not love the brother whom he can see cannot love God whom he has not seen. Indeed this is the commandment we have received from him, that whoever loves God, must also love his brother.
Rahner says
"the present age is in need of a sound
asceticism"
Christian asceticism embraces a
constant reasonable control of the total person.
Fr. Carter says "asceticism ... embraces the reality of
selflessness, a gradual going out
from self-centeredness. As the
Christian grows, his existential frame
of reference becomes more and
more Christ and others ... paradoxically,
the more the Christian goes out of himself,
the more he authentically becomes himself,
the more he becomes a true person."
"Asceticism and other expressions of the
Christian life involve the exercise of
the infused virtues, both theological and
moral."
Prayer for Union with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.
-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994
R. A religious takes a special promise to
live the life in a covenant with
Jesus as their Spouse to live in
an order usually under poverty,
chastity and obedience
Fr. Carter says
"Christ and His members complete
the work of redemption"
"The Church, therefore, is the earthly
continuation of Christ's redemptive
Incarnation."
Fr. Carter says:
no one can fulfill this unique role
of the Christian
except the individual Christian
The devil tells the person they are all good
or all bad this is not humility
humility is truth
To thank God for the good things one has
accomplished
to recognize and be sorry and repent for
sins and pray for grace to die to
those failings in us to live more
deeply our lives likened to Christ
Death/Resurrection
Fr. Carter says "Each Christian is an unique imitation
of the Trinity Through each Christian
Christ wants to continue His
redemptive Incarnation in a special way"
Christ as Prophet
Fr. Carter says
"A prophet, then, in terms of salvation
history is a specially commissioned
teacher sent by God to His People
What is the task of the prophet?
His role is in some way to reveal
God and God's plan for man's
salvation and sanctification"
Jesus speaks
"I am the way, the truth and the life"
Fr. Carter says
"Perhaps because there are too few
such Christian witnesses, Christianity
has failed to make the desired
imprint upon civilization
For it is only when mankind sees the
truth of Christ concretely lived out
by Christians that such truth
has the power to draw men to Christ
and His Church in any great numbers"
We need blood to live
It is By His Blood we are saved!
Jesus shed His Blood for our
sins
Adam and Eve sinned
Adam and Eve were naked
There was now shame after sin
Cain sinned
Cain shed Abel's blood
Cain was branded
Abraham is willing to offer
his precious son
Abraham is willing to offer
the blood of his
son as a sacrifice
God tested Abraham to see
about his faith
about his love
Abraham was obedient to God
The Father, Abraham, offered
his precious son
in obedience
Then Moses
The shedding of blood
The lamb and the blood spread
on the door post of the
Israelites
they were not killed
Then the first born of the
Egyptians were killed
The Israelites wandered then
they were disobedient
They grumbled
They were bitten by serpents
Moses put the brass serpent
hung up
Moses lifted the serpent in
the desert
All who looked on the brass serpent were
healed
Christ died on a cross
R. and when we look at Christ
go to Mass the sacrifice of Calvary
made present
we can be healed
Jesus took on all our sins
Jesus carried our sins on His back
Jesus died for all the sins
Jesus shed His Blood
Jesus, the sacrifice, for our sins
Jesus took on our sins
Jesus gives us the priest to celebrate
Mass
Jesus is the Savior
We need Jesus
Jesus shed His Blood
Jesus, the Lamb of God
Atonement
Sacrifice
Offering sacrifice
The Mass the sacrifice of Calvary
sacramentally made present
Jesus, the Lamb of God,
who takes away the sin
of the world
Some have guilt and sin
Rationalizing guilt
Instead of confessing and being forgiven
One can keep the sins hidden
Which stay in there in guilt
Hiding sin and lying to oneself
about the sin keeping
it hidden deep
Guilt Hidden inside
because one lies
When we sin we hurt
Relationship
with God
with others
with ourselves
Confession helps restore
this relationship with
God and others
We are created to live
in the truth
hidden lies to ourselves
turn into hidden guilt
Christ shed His blood
so our sins could be
forgiven
Jesus: Time goes by in petty pace
When you are young you think you
have all the time in the world,
but soon you find you can't do what
you used to do
The body ages while the soul
should be more perfected in love
more in My image and likeness
A fool continues disobeying the
commandments of God, but they
don't know God they become more
and more blinded and they want
themselves to be more important
Jesus: Who do you seek to please FIRST
How is your love for God
I have called you by name
You can answer or do your
own will
Don't let the sun go down
on your anger Satan is
so strong
Sing: Come to Me Lord and Possess My Soul
Come into my heart and permeate my soul
R. Oh God please come to our aid
Oneness
Love of God
Unity with God
Love of others
Time goes on in petty pace
Jesus: I am the bread of life
I gift you abundantly
to help others to come to Me
to be witnesses in the religious life
to be witnesses in one's vocation
to be servants
handmaids
apostles in the Shepherds of Christ
giving My message of love, obedience
and truth to the world
