Messenger: In tears I write to you of the glory
of the Mass because He beacons
me to write for I would sooner
close my eyes and be so deeply
wrapped in this ecstatic union
with Him.
As we read the Priestly Newsletter on
Mary and the Eucharist and the writings
of our beloved Pope John Paul II
my heart pants for this gift of
the Eucharist and I know so
deeply the union between Jesus
and Mary as never before.
The writings of Pope John Paul II on
the Eucharist and Mary and Father
Bonacci's selections of other writings
could only have been deeply inspired
by Jesus who writes His Newsletter
through him.
In all the years of the Newsletter and
the readiness of the priests in the Church to
receive this one, it is the time
with John Paul II's death and all
our prayers for the Newsletter for
11 years that this Newsletter will
be released and with the grace given
by God that the hearts of the priest
will burn as mine and thirst after
the great gift of Jesus in the Eucharist
and realize more deeply Mary's connection
with Jesus and be deeply connected
more to Jesus as we grow in intimacy
with Jesus truly present in the
Eucharist uniting to Him ever
deeper through the Heart of Mary and
seeing Him through such a beautiful
vision of truth through the eyes
of Mary.
This is the purpose of the Shepherds of Christ
to put out the Priestly Newsletter
and this Newsletter on Mary and
the Eucharist and the next Newsletter
on the Church and Mary are the summit
of the Newsletters reaching a point
of readiness in the priests to be
more as I am today wrapped in
this ecstasy of being given such
a gift of the Eucharist and Mary.
Being united more deeply to God
is why we were created. Being
united to God and to one another is
the desire of God for us. The
Eucharist is the gift God
gives us in which we are so
deeply united in Him.
Oh I long for heaven to be
in this rapture of a heavenly
embrace, to have the fullness
of life.
The Eucharist is such a gift
that God gives to us, a little
sharing of the long awaited
joy of heaven.
A baby's tiny toes and hands and
beautiful face reach a depth we
cannot express when our deep
knowledge and love of the Eucharist
is our life.
An elderly father, mother,
friend is a time of great joy and
sorrow as we watch a holy soul
embark on the next place they
go to the home the Father has
prepared.
Think of the joy and pain of Mary as
she stood beneath the cross
of her Son.
I ponder her heart and great
insight has been given to me
to know her heart.
I write of the reality of the
gifts God has for us. God is other
and transcendent ...
Excerpt from Response to God's Love,
by Father Edward Carter, S.J.
1 The Mystery of Christ and
Christian Existence...In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.
The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.
At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ. St. Paul tells us: "I became a minister of this Church through the commission God gave me to preach among you his word in its fullness, that mystery hidden from ages and generations past but now revealed to his holy ones. God has willed to make known to them the glory beyond price which this mystery brings to the Gentilesthe mystery of Christ in you, your hope of glory. This is the Christ we proclaim while we admonish all men and teach them in the full measure of wisdom, hoping to make every man complete in Christ" (Col 1:25-28).

Messenger: but it is beyond my pen and paper to
write what I know and experience
of Jesus truly present in the
Eucharist
words are empty and fail horribly to
express any of this
nor do any words even exist to explain
even minutely the glories of
heaven
The knowledge I know is etched
in the layers of my soul
and my soul has no layers and
to express in any words is
to try to put an apple in
a small necked bottle.
Eve ate the apple and it is in reaching
for the knowledge of the unseen
truth of heaven that words
do not dare to exist to describe
any of it
In that moment of the Mass, He filled
my soul with His grace He
united my spirit so deeply to
His and I knew so deeply the
gift of the Eucharist in my
soul.
I sobbed because of this knowledge,
being here in my body and reaching
so deeply into union with God
and the Church, the human race
being overtaken with the joy within
me to know Him my Master,
my All
Now I write only as he directs me
for you for I wanted to linger
there and never move and be taken
ever deeper into the mystery and
stay, as if suspended in time,
feeling time stand still and
in it I existed so deeply in Him,
Father, Son, Holy Spirit, knowing
Mary, the angels and saints,
heaven and being united with
all the souls of the earth and
I prayed as I ask you to pray for
grace to be released for the
Priests reading the Newsletter on
Mary and the Eucharist for their
love of Jesus truly present in
the Eucharist to burn in
their hearts and the love of Mary,
so one with Jesus to grow as
Mother of Jesus, Mother of us
all
Mystery oh mystery
My soul is so filled with His knowledge
imparted to me and His grace and the
reality of the gift given to us
in the priest and the Eucharist
burns in my heart and soul.
Oh yes I can try to write a sonnet, but
it is ineffable and it is because
of His desire I write to you,
I am writing at all
My prayer being for the souls and this
realization of the gift of
the Eucharist that men's
eyes will see their scales
on their eyes lifted their
hearts filled with longing for the
Eucharist Jesus, Our God
truly present in the Mass
Oh why with such a gift
given to us by God in His
Movement, Shepherds of Christ, would the
world not help us circulate such
a gift to every priest on the
face of the earth.
His Heart burns for love
His eyes filled with fire
the fire of the love of the Divine
God who gives Himself to us
Jesus who mounted the
cross and died, shed His
Blood for our sins, Our
Savior, Our lover, Our
Spouse, Our all
Oh sweet Jesus, God of us all,
let this message penetrate
our hearts to know you and
to run to the Eucharist to be
fed by Your Body and Blood
to spend our lives praying and offering
our lives for the priests, the Church
and the world.
Oh I long to ponder the mystery
through the heart of Mary my
mother and see through her eyes
so if you see Mary here

Words of Jesus to Members of
Shepherds of Christ Associates:"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.
"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.
"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."
