Consecration Prayer for Peace
I consecrate Russia and the Ukraine to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I further consecrate the priests, the Church and the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I do this in the name of Jesus in as far as I am able, united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory through the powerful intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace. Amen.
I further consecrate myself, all members of my family and ask the Holy Spirit to fill us. I spread the Blood of Jesus on all above, I cast the devil into hell away from all of us and consecrate all persons, in as far as I am able, to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart.
Prayer for Grace for Election and our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. Jesus showed us in His
suffering and death /
Came the resurrection.
The suffering identified with
Christ brings us to a deeper
life in Him.
Jesus came to bring us
greater life in Him,
He had to suffer to pay for
our sins.
Suffering is redemptive.
In the silence and intimacy
with God, He touches My
soul.
He never lets us down in
greater unity with Him when
we want this intimate loving
union with Him, it comes in
humility, in truth, in living
according to His will.
It comes in loving and
wanting love and wanting
goodness and right.
Ask yourself do you act for
the honor and glory of God,
that is how you get closer to
God.
You turn away from God
when you sin.
You hurt your relationship
with God and others when
you sin.
Only one thing is important,
eternal salvation.
Sin takes us from God.
In the Mass, we begin Mass
asking for forgiveness of our
sins to offer a pure and holy
sacrifice united to Jesus, to
the Father.
We unite more deeply to
Christ the more pure and
transformed are our hearts.
We are striving with all our
hearts to grow in the
supernatural life and we offer
ourselves with Christ to our
Heavenly Father.
We should detest sin, so as
to unite ever deeper to God.
St. Paul said Galatians 22:19
"With Christ I am nailed to
the cross."
In the image and likeness of
Christ.
Dying in every Mass - more
and more to self-will living in
love with the will of God.
Dying to self-will helps us to
unite more to Christ who
conformed perfectly in the
Father’s will - thus greater
oneness with God.
The Prayer for Union with
Jesus is so important, like in
the Our Father..."thy will be
done on earth, as it is in heaven...".
Doing God's will helps us in
being greater one with God.
Rebellion to God's will,
disobedience threw Adam
and Eve from the Garden
and gave us original sin.
Death / Resurrection
The Pascal Mystery
Dying to the ways not like
Jesus / Rising in Him.
Dying to our selfish will,
living the Heavenly Father’s
will.
Galatians 2: 19-20I have been crucified with
Christ, it’s no longer I who
lives, but Christ lives in me.
The Mass is the sacrifice of
Calvary, sacramentally made
present.
Suffering entered the human
condition because of Adam
and Eve's sin.
God draws good out of
suffering and a supreme
example is Jesus' death.
Everything Jesus did
contributed to our
redemption.
Jesus' will was perfectly
formed to the Father's will.
The more we die to our
selfish will and conform to
the Father's will the more
united we are to God.
Suffering leads to greater
life.
Jesus said
... Let this chalice pass from
Me, but not My will, but the
Father's will.
Suffering embraced properly
leads to greater life.
Fr. Carter said
The great tragedy of human
suffering is not that there is
too much of it, but so much is
wasted.
Glorious Mysteries
The Resurrection
1. On the third day, Jesus
rose from the tomb.
2. We seek knowledge and
love of God so we can
imitate Him.
3. We were created to know,
love and serve the Lord. Go
to confession, we never
know when a day may be our
last.
4. Jesus came and showed
us the way. Jesus says: I am
the way, the truth and the
life.
5. Everything we do should
be for the honor and glory of
God.
6. If you do not repent and
say you’re sorry how can you
prepare for heaven?
Our will can be set against
God’s will if we refuse to repent
of our sins.
7. If one refuses to do what is
our duty and do the
opposite, with malice of
intent, to try to block God’s will,
turning it into fighting and
turmoil, it is sinful.
Ask yourself is your decision
for the honor and glory of
God?
Is it to take you closer to
God?
8. Ask the Holy Spirit to
infuse in your intellect: the
gifts of wisdom, knowledge
and understanding.
9. We meditate on the fact
that God is our Father and
we are commanded to
respect and love Him.
10. God is light and in Him is
no darkness.
The Ascension
1. Jesus took them out near
Bethany and ascended into
heaven.
2. Jesus shows us:
Jesus is the way.
Jesus is Absolute truth.
Jesus is the Life.
3. Meditate on the joy of the
beatific vision.
4. Sing the Song: Eye Has
Not Seen.
5. Jesus is our Savior, our
Redeemer, our Bridegroom,
our beloved God!!!
6. The Father said at the
Transfiguration "This is My
beloved God in whom I am
well pleased, listen to Him.”
7. Jesus is King of Kings,
Lord of Lords.
8. John 11:25 "He who eats
my flesh and drinks my
blood has life everlasting,
and I will raise him up on the
last day."
9. Sing: Glory, Glory, Glory Lord!!
10. Romans 8:11
"If the spirit of him who
raised Jesus from the dead
dwells in you, then he who
raised Jesus Christ from the
dead, will also bring to life
your mortal bodies because
of his Spirit who dwells in
you."We pray for joy, that Jesus,
who is our risen Redeemer
may help us, all the days of
our lives, and we pray for the
grace we need most.
The Descent of Holy Spirit
1. The Holy Spirit came on
the Apostles and Mary on
Pentecost in tongues of fire
above their head.
2. The Holy Spirit gave them
fortitude, they were so afraid
waiting!!!!
3. The Apostles were filled
with the Holy Spirit, given
the gifts.
4. The Gift of Fear of the Lord.
Bishop Sheen said ”Some
people don’t call it sin
anymore.”
We need this gift today,
Not wanting to offend God
by sin.
5. The gift of piety,
God is our Father. He created
us in the image and likeness
of God.
6. Piety:
Pray for the souls!
Mary asked us to pray for the
souls when she appeared.
We have a duty to pray for
the souls, most in need of
mercy.
7. We are called to love God
and love our neighbor as
ourselves.
Would we like anyone
treating us like some may
treat their neighbor.
Fortitude tells us to be
patient, to wait. To respect
others’ dignity and love them.
Be patient.
8. The gift of counsel is to
help us discern the spirits.
This helps us have right
reasoning in our every day
life. We eat and we digest
food, without being aware of
this.
We have a mental process at
work when we act.
We need the Holy Spirit to
counsel us, help us to think
as God desires.
9. The Holy Spirit infuses
supernatural knowledge,
wisdom and understanding
into our intellect, when we
pray for these gifts.
What happens, if I possess
the world, and lose my soul?
10. God the Holy Spirit helps
us to know the will of God.
The Holy Spirit helps us to
understand the Word.
The Holy Spirit is the
Advocate.
We see the parable of the 5
wise and 5 foolish virgins
and the bridegroom.
Sin offends God.
Fear of the Lord means we
don’t want to offend our
God.
The Assumption of Mary into Heaven
1. Mary was taken body and
soul into heaven.
2. God gives us gifts. We see
the gifts Mary showed in her
life.
3. Love and Faith go together.
Faith, Hope and Love are
supernatural virtues we
receive in Baptism.
4. How is the interior
knowledge of God in our
hearts?
How deeply do we know
God in unity, oneness?
5. Deep intimacy with God
are great gifts the mystic
knows.
Mary and Jesus' Hearts are
the Hearts of Greatest Love.
6. Those who love God have
Gratitude toward God and
others.
7. We want pure love in
friendship with God and with
others.
8. Gratitude, Friendship - we
are in awe of God's
generosity to us and His
friendship with us.
We thank God for the
Church, the Eucharist, Mary,
our Spiritual Mother.
9. We thank God for the gift
of grace.
10. Sing: Amazing Grace and
Take Lord Receive
Mary is crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth
1. Mary is Queen of Heaven
and Earth.
2. Mary is Mother of Our
Christian Virtues.
3. We are children of Our
Heavenly Father.
Child-like faith.
4. Faith is a virtue. Fr. Carter
says: faith is the
commitment of one's entire
being to the truth of Jesus.
We must live the truth of
Jesus, not merely
intellectually, assent to it. We
properly comprehend
religious truths. Only when
we live it, savor it, experience
it to the depths of our being.
How much more we
understand the truth of
Christ, in its wisdom, power,
and beauty, when we not
only believe this truth with
our graced intellects, but
also allow it to permeate and
transform our entire existence.
5. Hope - Father Carter, SJ
says: Christian hope is a
virtue that allows us to desire
God as the goal of our
existence.
Hope also allows us to trust
that God will grant us the
grace necessary to achieve
this goal.
6. We should always
remember: when we trust
Mary, we are putting our
trust in God; when we
abandon ourselves to Mary,
we are abandoning
ourselves to God, Father
Carter says.
7. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
St. Paul tells us:
If I speak in human and
angelic tongues, but do not
have love, I am a resounding
gong, or a clashing cymbal.
And if I have the gift of
prophecy and comprehend
all mysteries, and all
knowledge; if I have all faith,
so as to move mountains,
but do not have love, I am
nothing. If I give away
everything I own, and if I
hand, my body over
So that I may boast but do
not have love, I gain nothing.
8. Father Carter says: "We
can be tempted to reject this
marvelous example of love,
which Jesus has left us. We
can see our own greatness
and fulfillment in a manner
which necessarily results in
disappointment. We can
strive after greatness in
ways, which God does not
intend."
9. We are to seek, to live
virtuously as Mary showed
us. We are to live in humility.
Humility is truth.
10. God gives us the first
commandment: I am the
Lord, thy God, thou shalt not
have any Gods before Me.
God must be first in our lives.
Mary loved the Father's will
Sing: Hail Holy Queen
Sing: Immaculate Mary
Mary is Queen of Peace.
Sing: Let There be Peace on Earth

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10 |
