Consecration Prayer for Peace
I consecrate Russia and the Ukraine to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I further consecrate the priests, the Church and the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I do this in the name of Jesus in as far as I am able, united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory through the powerful intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace. Amen.
I further consecrate myself, all members of my family and ask the Holy Spirit to fill us. I spread the Blood of Jesus on all above, I cast the devil into hell away from all of us and consecrate all persons, in as far as I am able, to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart.
Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families,
February 11, 2022 - Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes
Glorious Mysteries
The Resurrection
1. Jesus laid down His life, so we could have life.
Jesus' death brought us life.
2. John 10: 3-4 , 14-15
the sheep hear his voice, one by one he calls his own sheep and leads them out. When he has brought out all those that are his, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.
I am the good shepherd;
I know my own
and my own know me,
just as the Father knows me
and I know the Father;
and I lay down my life for my sheep.
3. Jesus emptied Himself. Jesus gave the last
drop of His Blood & the last beat of
His Heart.
4. Love gives, Jesus shows us in His life –
He gave until there was no more to give –
He hung on the cross and died that
we could live.
5. Death / Resurrection, the Pascal Mystery –
Jesus came, Jesus showed us the way,
peace, joy and hope.
6. Today we as members of the mystical body
of Christ, walk the earth and we are
to bring Christ and His cause to
the earth.
7. In baptism we are commissioned to go
out and spread the Good News.
Jesus wants to operate in us and give
His love to others through our lives,
lived in Him.
8. Response in Christ, Response to God's Love –
How do we respond to our call in
baptism?
9. One person can make such a difference
living in the vocation God has called
Him to, living to please the heavenly
Father.
10. At the baptism of Jesus when Jesus began His public
life the sky was thrown open and the voice
of the Father was heard
"This is my beloved Son in whom I am
well pleased."
We as the sons and daughters of God are called
to live as the Father has called us to
in our vocation and to live to please
our Father.
The Ascension
1. Luke 24:50-53
Then he took them out as far as the outskirts of Bethany, and raising his hands he blessed them. Now as he blessed them, he withdrew from them and was carried up to heaven. They worshipped him and then went back to Jerusalem full of joy; and they were continually in the Temple praising God.
2. Does our life make a difference?
Yes, it makes a tremendous difference.
We were uniquely created and called
by God to make a difference.
3. To the extend we give ourselves
to Christ, to this extent He
continues His mission in your
uniqueness.
4. Fr. Carter says
"To the extent that you refuse to give
yourself to Jesus, to this extent he
loses this opportunity which
your humanity alone provides!"
5. God sees us and wants us to be all
He created us to be. The devil
tries to tempt us to see ourselves
as not doing much to make any
difference.
6. Every day in our prayer and being
one in Him, doing God's will, living
in love can make a tremendous difference.
Even in the ordinariness of our lives.
7. Living in the moment. Living the beauty
of our days are so important to Jesus.
Jesus is the bridegroom of our soul.
8. Jesus took them out to a town near
Bethany and He ascended into heaven
and He left them behind to help
build what He began.
They were called to do His work –
so are we!
9. Jesus gave Fr. Carter this message –
We need to pray for the world now
for sure –
We need to pray for the Church and the
priests!

Words of Jesus to Members of Shepherds of Christ Associates:
"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.
"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.
"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."
- Message from Jesus to Father Edward J. Carter, S.J., Founder, as given on July 31, 1994,
feast of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits)
Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus
My dear fellow Associate Members,
Jesus is calling special apostles to join a new division of the Shepherds of Christ Movement. Here is a message from Jesus given to Father Carter:
My beloved priest-companion, I am requesting that a new prayer movement be started under the direction of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. I am asking for volunteers who are willing to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for one hour, twice-weekly. Members of the Shepherds of Christ prayer chapters, as well as others, are to be invited to join this movement.
These apostles are to pray for the intentions I am giving you. For part of the hour they are to use the prayers of the Shepherds of Christ Associates Handbook. They may spend the rest of the hour as they so choose.
I will use this new prayer movement within My Shepherds of Christ Ministries in a powerful way to help in the renewal of My Church and the world. I will give great graces to those who join this movement. The name, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, is to be given to this movement.
I am inviting My beloved Rita Ring to be coordinator for this activity.
I pour out the great love of My Sacred Heart to all. I am Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.
This is indeed a special calling for us to unite in one heart with His Eucharistic Heart and pray for the following intentions:
1. For the spread of the devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary culminating in the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.
2. For the Pope.
3. For all bishops of the world.
4. For all priests.
5. For all sisters and brothers in the religious life.
6. For all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, and for the spread of this movement to the world.
7. For all members of the Catholic Church.
8. For all members of the human family.
9. For all souls in purgatory.end of Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart message
10. Fr. Carter says
"Each day we are called to help
Jesus lead man closer to that eternal destiny
which the Good Shepherd achieved in His
dying and His rising.
This is our privilege!
This is our responsibility.
The Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles
1. Acts 2: 1-4
When Pentecost day came round, they had all met together, when suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a violent wind which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues as of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak different languages as the Spirit gave them power to express themselves.
2. The Apostles were afraid after Jesus ascended
into heaven and they locked themselves
in the upper room waiting the
coming of the Holy Spirit.
3. The Holy Spirit came upon them and they were
transformed from fear to fearlessness.
4. The Spirit is present to us too!
The Spirit is needed in us to do what
God wants us to and to respond
as we should to make the Father
pleased.
5. The Holy Spirit fills us to make us filled
with love, vibrancy, desires
in our heart to go out and
help build the Kingdom of God.
6. The Holy Spirit inspires us to greater
selflessness, toward a greater
love of God and neighbor.
7. Fr. Carter says
"Why at times do we pull back from
the Spirit's touch? Is it because
there is something he wants us to
eliminate from our lives, or conversely, insert
into them, and we prefer our will to his?"
8. Fr. Carter says
"Is it because we are fearful that if
we open ourselves more and more
to the Spirit, he will ask difficult
things of us – and we are
unwilling to pay this price?"
9. Fr. Carter says
"To refuse a Spirit-led existence
is to refuse peace and happiness."
10. Fr. Carter says "Life in the Spirit is not a dull
existence. Life in the Spirit is the
only way to achieve the peace and
happiness each human
heart years for."
The Assumption
1. Luke 1: 46-50
And Mary said:
My soul proclaims
the greatness of the Lord
and my spirit rejoices
in God my Saviour;
because he has looked upon
the humiliation of his servant.
Yes, from now onwards
all generations will call me blessed,
for the Almighty
has done great things for me.
Holy is his name,
and his faithful love extends age after age
to those who fear him.
2. Fr. Carter says
"One of the lessons is that of humility. In
Mary's song of praise, the Magnificat,
Mary expresses perfect humility.
She realized that without God she was
nothing, but that, because of the divine
largess, God made her great."
(Mother at Our Side p.65)
3. From Mother at Our Side by Fr. Edward Carter S.J. p. 65-66
Humility is the realization of the truth that I am a creature of God. Humility is also the implementation of this truth in daily living. Humility is not a process of self-depreciation, or of telling myself that I am no good, that I have very little to contribute. Humility moves me to look at myself as I actually am. It moves me to look at both my good and bad points, and, very importantly, to follow up with appropriate attitudes and actions. (Regarding Mary's humility, there was, of course, only the need to recognize her greatness as coming forth from God, since she was completely sinless.)
Romans 8: 3-4
What the Law could not do because of the weakness of human nature, God did, sending his own Son in the same human nature as any sinner to be a sacrifice for sin, and condemning sin in that human nature. This was so that the Law's requirements might be fully satisfied in us as we direct our lives not by our natural inclinations but by the Spirit.
4. Mary was taken body and soul into
heaven.
5. Mary lived her life as the perfect
handmaid of the Lord –
Mary lived her life as the perfect
disciple of Jesus.
Mary is our spiritual Mother.
6. From Mother at Our Side by Fr. Edward Carter S.J.
"Mary is present in the Church as the Mother of Christ, and at the same time as that Mother whom Christ, in the mystery of the Redemption, gave to humanity in the person of the Apostle John. Thus, in her new motherhood in the Spirit, Mary embraces each and every one in the Church, and embraces each and every one through the Church. In this sense Mary, Mother of the Church, is also the Church's model. Indeed, as Paul VI hopes and asks the Church must draw 'from the Virgin Mother of God the most authentic form of perfect imitation of Christ.' ''(Pope John Paul II).27
27. The Mother of the Redeemer, op. cit., No.47.
7. Sing: See the Eyes That Look at Mary
8. Sing: Immaculate Mary
9. Sing: Ave, Ave Maria
10. Revelation 12: 1-2
Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, robed with the sun, standing on the moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant, and in labour, crying aloud in the pangs of childbirth.
The Queenship of Mary
1.
The Queen mounts her throne among shouts of joy.
The angels surround this heavenly throne
Her children love her and worship their God.
2. The Sacred Heart of Jesus reigns in the hearts of her children.
3. He is the King of their hearts.
4. Mary is the Queen of their hearts.
5. A New Adam, a New Eve are recognized
by the once enslaved children of
Adam and Eve.
6.
A trumpet blare for one so fair,
a blare of music for our starved ears.
7. Sing: Hail Holy Queen
8.
Among shouts of joy our Lady
speaks liltingly in a heavenly voice
and we gape at the sound of her
sweet voice and behold the
beauty of this maiden so sweet and fair.
9. Oh, there is not
one so fair as
thee, my beloved Mother Mary.
10. Of all the maidens that God could have
chosen it was you, oh shining Star of Heaven.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10 |
