Most Sacred Heart of Jesus we place our trust in Thee.
Philippians 4: 4-7
Always be joyful, then, in the Lord; I repeat, be joyful. Let your good sense be obvious to everybody. The Lord is near. Never worry about anything; but tell God all your desires of every kind in prayer and petition shot through with gratitude, and the peace of God which is beyond our understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Always be joyful; pray constantly; and for all things give thanks; this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. Do not stifle the Spirit or despise the gift of prophecy with contempt; test everything and hold on to what is good and shun every form of evil. May the God of peace make you perfect and holy; and may your spirit, life and body be kept blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who has called you is trustworthy and will carry it out.
James 5: 7-10
Now be patient, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. Think of a farmer: how patiently he waits for the precious fruit of the ground until it has had the autumn rains and the spring rains! You too must be patient; do not lose heart, because the Lord’s coming will be soon. Do not make complaints against one another, brothers, so as not to be brought to judgement yourselves; the Judge is already to be seen waiting at the gates. For your example, brothers, in patiently putting up with persecution, take the prophets who spoke in the Lord’s name;
R. The devil is jealous that man could go to the extent
of being able to have life eternal.
The devil is real.
In today's world we see the constant struggle between
good and evil for mankind.
God has called us to spread the Good News.
God has told us in this Movement of His unfathomable
love for man.
God is the Creator –
God so loved the world He sent His only begotten
Son.
We are to live with the desire and love in our
hearts to build the Kingdom of God in our actions.
How have we contributed to that with our lives?
It is a great calling and we are commissioned in
baptism to spread the Good News.
Can you think about how God loves His creation –
Can we meditate on the sacrifice of Jesus so mankind
can someday be able to go to heaven?
But heaven is a reward. We are to say "yes" to
God and love and serve God to be able to receive
this reward.
It is God's plan we have a free will and we show
Him we want to do His will and love Him and our
brothers or we can reject His will for us, be
opposed to God's will, be prideful like Eve in the
Garden and disobedient to God's will.
When we oppose God's will - the conflict is
in us. It leads us further and further from the
light, from what God intends and then we don't
feel good, because God created us for Him - to be
united to Him.
We can never be completely happy in this life.
Happiness is found in God – our goal is God.
We were meant to be possessed by God in the beatific
vision in heaven – we cannot be completely happy
until we go to heaven, but heaven is a reward
promised to those who love and serve the Lord.
God's design is we have a free will and we can
serve God and love God and love others or we
can reject God.
The sad thing is the more a person gives into
the deadly sins, pride, greed, envy, wrath, lust,
gluttony, and sloth – the more blind they
become in seeing what they need to see to love
and serve God as they are called by God to do.
Yes, heaven is a reward for those who love and
serve the Lord.
Yes, the devil is real and he hates. He hates
God and he hates us and he is the father of lies –
He wants to take souls to eternal damnation –
so he tempts them, deceives them lying and lying,
appealing to man's pride and anger, hatred,
envy, slothfulness, jealousy, lust, gluttony –
Satan wants to bring the man down –
addiction to sex, giving into pleasures of food
and drink to access, anger – bring a man
down –
Praying to God for an increase of faith, hope
and love – Going to God for greater love with
Him and love for others – raises him up –
He becomes more one with God – he is filled with
light – He is more that ideal self God wants
him to be.
He must discipline his actions, he doesn't
disobey what God wants him to do – He says
'yes' to God, 'yes' to love of God and others –
His eyes are focused on Jesus. He sees through the
eyes of the heavenly Father – The goal of his
actions is eternal happiness. He loves
serving God, His beloved, and building His Kingdom
and he doesn't want to ever offend the God he
loves with the slightest sin.
Psalm 23: 1
Yahweh is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
In grassy meadows he lets me lie.
Luke 1: 46
Mary said
My soul proclaims
the greatness of the Lord
and my spirit rejoices
in God my Saviour;
R. The devil is real and he wants men to walk in darkness –
he wants them to be prideful and challenge
what God wants him to do. He wants men to
have a bad attitude, to argue –
They can be so self-enclosed they do not even see
others and the calling God is making to them –
to be a witness before others –
The devil comes like a thief to block all
the plans he can for the building of God's Kingdom.
He presses on a person to be unloving and
hateful, when they should show God how
grateful they are to love Him and serve Him –
because God is first in their life –
God is their beloved – It is reason enough to
serve God in love –
The devil presses on the person to give in and
say 'no' to God. It is a turning in – not
seeing the chance to witness with their
life before God and men – how important
God is to them.
The man of God is not turned in –
Their attitude is not turned in – in challenging
and rebuttal for the sake of serving satan
and disobeying God – the man who loves God
has eyes that are turned out – seeing what
God wants him to do and to be before
God and others –
Turning out –
Seeing through God's eyes –
Saying 'yes' to God!
Seeking God's will and following God's
will for them brings happiness and
peace to the soul –
Turning in, challenging, disobeying God –
brings unhappiness, chaos to the
souls and where they go from saying
'no' to God is in greater and greater
darkness –
When a man gets on an elevator going down –
it usually goes down and down and down –
the devil wants a man to turn inward, to
hate – to give a bad witness before others –
Man has a free will to not give into satan
when God is calling him to serve and love
Him and bear witness before others.
Living more and more in greater faith,
having the vision of God, lifts the man
up, his heart is more united to God –
God is light and love and peace in the heart –
It may be suffering, but there is a peace to
love and to serve God as he is called to do.
It is being in harmony with God –
Living in harmony with God is living
according to God's will.
Mary is the perfect handmaid of the Lord.
Mary shows us she did the will of God and
her attitude was she loved doing the
will of God –
Mary's whole life was to serve God –
that is what being a servant and
handmaid of God means –
Following Mary's example –
November 4, 2013
Priestly Newsletter Book II - September/October 1997
In all this Mary offers an example. Selfishness was totally foreign to her. She did not belong to herself. She belonged to God. She was not closed in upon herself. She was completely open to God. When God spoke, she listened. When God pointed the way, she followed. She realized that life is not a process a person masters by carefully mapping out one's own self-conceived plans of conquest, but a mystery to be gradually experienced by being open to God's personal and loving guidance.
Selfishness, then, did not close Mary off from God's call. Neither did fear. God asked her to assume a tremendous responsibility. He asked her to be the Mother of Jesus. Mary did not engage in a process of false humility and say that such a great role was above her. She did not say that she did not have the proper qualifications for this awesome mission. Briefly, she did not waste time looking at herself, making pleas that she was not worthy, telling the angel he had better go look for someone else. No, Mary did not look at herself. Her gaze was absorbed in God. She fully realized that whatever God asked of her, His grace would accomplish. She fully realized that although she herself had to cooperate, this work was much more God's than hers.
Mary's words, then, truly sum up what is the authentic Christian response at any point of life, in any kind of situation: "I am the handmaid of the Lord," said Mary, "let what you have said be done to me".
R. Satan is smart – he knows how to deceive
a man with his temptations –
bad habits can become vices –
God has given us the Shepherds of Christ to help renew
the Church and the world –
to bear witness to the truth –
to live as a witness to God –
The devil is full of envy and hatred –
So many times a man projects his hatred
and anger on innocent others –
So if he is unloving he projects it
and blames another for his
unloving ways –
A man can become so enslaved to
turning in and conflict – when
God calls him to do the work
of building His Kingdom – he
relentlessly tries to block the work that needs
to be accomplished because of a diseased
will that has developed.
God calls us to walk in the light – to
have the attitude of love in our heart
when we are called on to serve Him –
A man that wants darkness can only
endorse his darkness and there can be,
as a product of this, no growth in true
love of building the community, built
on love and service, that God wants
to establish there –
Enslavement is what happens when a
person is so steeped in the vices that
they just respond immediately with the
turning in and darkness.
We cannot become a slave to any
darkness satan wants us to indulge
in. God is light –
The devil wants to degrade a man –
so he tempts him and wants him to
give in – walking in darkness away
from God brings unhappiness; sorrow
and sin and no matter how man who
does so blames others – his conflict is
with God, not serving in love to do His will,
not seeing and trusting in God, how he is
called to do.
Learning to let go and do God's will is
the road to happiness. If being in
charge is the goal, disobeying authority,
the person has conflict from the get-go –
not working in harmony with God's will
for them – knowing their place and letting
God work in them to help build the Kingdom
of God –
God's ways are not our ways many times –
When we hold onto that control – we do it our
way. Some can even pride themselves
telling themselves God's will is their will.
It is the other way around –
We are waiting for God to make His will known
to us. We are seeking direction from God –
We are obedient to authority – We have
commitment to the Plan God wants in
our life – we aren't always trying to
push our plan on God and get control
when we need to listen to what He wants –
God is the director, we are the souls waiting
on Him –
We are learning, we are growing in the
supernatural life God has given us in
baptism –
The man who wants to run things is not
seeing the gift of allowing God to operate
in him with His Might.
He is afraid of the unknown so he tries to
control it –
God wants to lift us up – to work in
faith and hope and love in our life –
but we must let go to God to have
Him operating in our lives with His Might.
God is love –
The devil is hate and the devil doesn't go
on vocation –
The devil wants a soul to move away
from God –
You can feel the darkness many times
when a person closes in – causes
conflict, argumentation, holding out –
think of all the energy to take a
plan God wants
And draw out the light through prodding –
and working to bring a person of
light down –
Who would want to learn these tricks
to try to reduce others to go down
in the darkness?
The devil is real – he wants people enslaved
to dark thoughts, turning in, a
bad attitude, stopping the work
God is trying to accomplish around
them.
Hell is real –
We have a free will to choose God and His
will for us to lift others up as we
witness before God and others –
Or we can be the victims of enslavement,
where we turn in when God asks
us to promote His Kingdom and
only enforce darkness, that which
tears down and doesn't build.
I remember World War II and I watched so
much devastation in old films
of cities, of homes, of buildings –
blown up – in an instant –
When I see the plan God wants –
the building of families,
the building of communities –
the love of country –
the love of neighbor
the building up of the Churches –
We see Mary warned at Fatima, but her
message fell on deaf ears –
This Movement has existed for 22 years –
God called servants and handmaids
and Apostles to build up a Kingdom
of the Love of the Two Hearts –
This takes seeing through the eyes of
God the Father in love –
Love builds –
By God's Might things grow –
God makes the seed grow to a big tree –
The plastic spoon in the garden is the
same 10 years later –
We must grow in the spiritual life in
living according to God's will - in love –
The deadly sins tear down –
the devil is hateful, selfish,
angry, envious, jealous,
slothful –
The deadly sins will NOT BRING Growth –
It takes discipline to do God's will –
It is a choice to say 'yes' to God with
our free will –
Or to choose darkness and reject God
and say 'no' to God –
We have a free will – to do God's will
and love – or to oppose God's will –
and do our own will.

R. The opening to one's heart is found
in the truth – in asking for forgiveness
for our sins and forgiving those who
have offended us.
Pride, anger, envy, jealousy
blinds a man more and more –
the heart becomes harder and
harder as one chooses to live
enslaved to the vices of the deadly
sins.
God can bring us to our knees,
for we are vulnerable under God –
But we can continue to say
"no" to God and He can try to
reach us – in numerous ways
to help us to be converted, but
we can reject God and continue
in pride when great grace may
be given.
We can throw in the face of
God the grace He is giving to us,
the way He is trying to reach a
man with a hardened heart –
Forgiveness brings opening
to our hearts –
Living in the truth –
Bondage is in living opposed to
the truth – in being disharmonious
to the will of God –
God wants us in heaven with Him
forever –
Jesus showed us the pains of this
life should never block
the will of God –
What we have suffered, anger in
our hearts, jealousy, bitterness
does not determine our
actions.
Our actions must be determined by
what is the will of God –
keeping our eyes on our eternal
goal of everlasting salvation –
living in love –
Love is being more and more like
Jesus –
God is love –
God is Absolute truth –
Satan wants to keep men in bondage –
Satan wants men to choose darkness,
and power, to lie and not
live in the truth –
Satan is the father of lies
Satan is deception –
Satan wants men combatal
and stirring the pot –
Satan wants men to live to try
to prove they are right
when they are wrong –
Their god becomes being right –
Instead of trying to admit the
truth – we are not perfect –
a man can live to try
to prove he is perfect which
is not true – it is a lie –
Power – men who have lost their
power in one situation may
seek to prove they have power
over others in another
situation.
Unfinished business of deep wounds
need to be brought out and
dealt with – not act like it
never happened and try to
keep working out unfinished
business on innocent others –
Unfinished business will not
be healed by acting out on
innocent others one's anger
and power - over –
Jesus: Walk in the truth –
Be committed in your love of God –
to be a servant of God.
Mary: I am the perfect handmaid of
the Lord.
"My soul doth magnify the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in
God my Savior."
My children, God has all the
power – why would a
man live his whole life
in pride –
seeking dominance for
dominance sake?
R. Think of how the teachings
of Jesus have spread. We have
our responsibility to spread
the Good News commissioned
in baptism.
A man that is focused on
himself is focused on power,
on trying to get anybody out of
the way that is over them – their
struggle is not in serving God's
will and doing what God wants,
but their struggle is making sure
they have power where ever they
have decided to get it back
for their loss of power in the
past. Their greatest fear is
that someone would get over
them again so they seek power –
It can be in a particular area
of their life while they are submissive
in other situations, but they need
that power over at least something
to make up for their fear of losing
power –
A man of forgiveness is examining
his conscience and forgiving and
asking to be forgiven. His struggle
is not with dominance for dominance
sake. A man who is focused on
God has their eyes on God and
wanting to be living in the truth,
in justice, in fortitude (courage),
in temperance and prudence.
Jesus shows us He loved us
so much and He shows us about
forgiveness of our sins –
He suffered for our sins –
We must tell God we are sorry
for our sins –
A person can have petty squabbles
with innocent others to act out
their own bitterness and conflict
within themselves with the will of God.
God has called us to love.
God is love – God commands us
to love Him and love our brothers.
When we see all of God's gifts
and creation, the beauty of His
gifts given to us we can see our
own blindness in not recognizing
such gifts.
Jesus tells us the message of
LOVE. We are commanded to love –
created in the image and likeness
of God.
Who is in chains – the man
who loves and gives and promotes –
the Kingdom of God or the
man who engages in anger,
darkness and hatred because
of the conflict in himself
with God. The man who lives in
darkness can carry in his life
that darkness and the hatred to
blame others for what is in
him.
God has called us to bear
witness not to feed ourselves
into the hands of those in
darkness –
God calls and those who
love God give in love to serve
Him. It is a paradox to say
someone does God's work in
anger - in fighting – it is
a paradox to be mad and
say "I serve God".
God calls us to love. God
sends people to us to help us –
God has given us His Word to
feed us. His Word is our truth.
