Sing: On Eagles Wings
Acts 10: 34-43
Then Peter addressed them, I now really understand, he said, that God has no favourites, but that anybody of any nationality who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
God sent his word to the people of Israel, and it was to them that the good news of peace was brought by Jesus Christhe is the Lord of all. You know what happened all over Judaea, how Jesus of Nazareth began in Galilee, after John had been preaching baptism. God had anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and because God was with him, Jesus went about doing good and curing all who had fallen into the power of the devil. Now we are witnesses to everything he did throughout the countryside of Judaea and in Jerusalem itself: and they killed him by hanging him on a tree, yet on the third day God raised him to life and allowed him to be seen, not by the whole people but only by certain witnesses that God had chosen beforehand. Now we are those witnesseswe have eaten and drunk with him after his resurrection from the dead and he has ordered us to proclaim this to his people and to bear witness that God has appointed him to judge everyone, alive or dead. It is to him that all the prophets bear this witness: that all who believe in Jesus will have their sins forgiven through his name.
Sing "The Lord is Kind and Merciful"
Wisdom 4: 7-15
The upright, though he die before his time, will find rest.
Length of days is not what makes age honourable,
nor number of years the true measure of life;
understanding, this is grey hairs,
untarnished life, this is ripe old age.
Having won Gods favour, he has been loved
and, as he was living among sinners, has been taken away.
He has been carried off so that evil may not warp his understanding
or deceitfulness seduce his soul;
for the fascination of evil throws good things into the shade,
and the whirlwind of desire corrupts a simple heart.
Having come to perfection so soon, he has lived long;
his soul being pleasing to the Lord,
he has hurried away from the wickedness around him.Yet people look on, uncomprehending;
and it does not enter their heads
that grace and mercy await his chosen ones
and that he intervenes on behalf of his holy ones.
Mark 4: 35-41
With the coming of evening that same day, he said to them, Let us cross over to the other side. And leaving the crowd behind they took him, just as he was, in the boat; and there were other boats with him. Then it began to blow a great gale and the waves were breaking into the boat so that it was almost swamped. But he was in the stern, his head on the cushion, asleep. They woke him and said to him, Master, do you not care? We are lost! And he woke up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Quiet now! Be calm! And the wind dropped, and there followed a great calm. Then he said to them, Why are you so frightened? Have you still no faith? They were overcome with awe and said to one another, Who can this be? Even the wind and the sea obey him.

Revelation 21:1-10
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, 'Look, here God lives among human beings. He will make his home among them; they will be his people, and he will be their God, God-with-them. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.'
Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. 'Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this, "What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true."' Then he said to me, 'It has already happened. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give water from the well of life free to anybody who is thirsty; anyone who proves victorious will inherit these things; and I will be his God and he will be my son. But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers and the sexually immoral, and for sorcerers, worshippers of false gods or any other sort of liars, is the second death in the burning lake of sulphur.'
One of the seven angels that had the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came to speak to me and said, 'Come here and I will show you the bride that the Lamb has married.' In the spirit, he carried me to the top of a very high mountain, and showed me Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down out of heaven from God.
R. Our lives pass so quickly
All of a sudden and the youth
has passed
We think we have lots of time
on earth that will never
end
We can see in the life of a
person how they can be
ready to serve to do
what needs to be done
Pleasant and willing to serve
for the greater good
Heaven is our true home
We are only here a short time
In the Gospel Jesus said
let us cross to the other
side He wanted to
get away with His Disciples
because the crowd wanted to
make Jesus a King according
to what they thought which
wasn't the way Jesus wanted
We all have to cross to the
other side
We will have to cross
There will be another world
for us if we go to heaven
Jesus came to give us
eternal life
Jesus said He was going to prepare
a place for us
The first reading
Peter had - had a vision
When Peter began to talk
they all received the Holy Spirit
So Peter said what else
could I do, but baptize
them
The gentiles too could be
baptized they didn't
have to go through Jewish
rituals
We will all take our turn when we
have to cross to the other side
There will be the day when
God comes knocking on
our door and says
"I'm ready for you"
Can we answer, "I am ready to go, Lord."
God intends us to walk hand-in-hand
You can see at a funeral
How a man and woman loving
having children, grandchildren,
great grandchildren can
fill the Church
What about religious
who are to serve the family of God
being other focused
helping to fill the Churches
with their prayers and love
for the family of God
being married in a special
way to God
letting the children of the Church
be their children they pray for
they pray for the family of God
Mary appeared to me and she loves
all her children
Jesus died for all
Religious are called by Jesus
to be His Spouse
to serve the Church
to see the Father's family
to be other focused
to be servants for God
Jesus showed us how to be a
servant
Jesus showed men how to be
priests
Jesus was celibate
Jesus was obedient
Jesus came in poverty
Religious are the Spouse of Jesus
in a special way
Jesus gives us Himself in the
Eucharist today
Song: A Priest is a Gift from God
R. Father thank You
Father we love You
Jesus we love You
Holy Spirit we love You
God, thank You for the Church
God, thank You for the Word
God, thank You for the Feasts
Through Him, With Him, In Him
R. Amen, Amen, Amen
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Lamb of God
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace.
Spiritual Communion
Dear Jesus we want to make a spiritual
communion, we cannot receive You
now, but we want to know Your
presence deep in our heart
deep in our soul Oh God fill us
with Your presence that we can
just focus on You and Your love
for us now Love deep in us
Oneness with You
Quiet surrender to be alone in
this moment with You in our heart
in deep love
We love You so much our beloved
God
R. I love You, Jesus,
Thank You for everything
Thank You, Jesus, for dying and rising for us
Thank You Jesus
Thank You Father
Thank You Holy Spirit
Our Father is so good to us
Our Father created us with these
unique talents to serve Him
We only have so many hours and days
on this earth how can we
not do what God wants with
the time God gives us to serve Him
Parents are to teach children about
God
They have a responsibility to teach them
about God
Not teach them to leave God out
But to model their own faith so
children will see they were
created to serve God
to love God
to know God
Children carry these life long
teachings in their lives
Like parents teach us good things
to serve and work hard
to help others and work as a
harmonious unit
We are brothers and sisters in
God's family
We are to work as members of
the family of God to do
what God wants
Children are taught to learn to work
together as brothers and
sisters in a family under the
parents' guidance
When we don't do our job
serving
we teach others bitterness,
selfishness, disharmony and
isolation
The devil wants this
It is a parent's job to teach children
to serve and love and work hard
It is a religious' job to teach
people about being holy
serving God willingly
doing God's will and building God's Kingdom
Being like Jesus
One day our days will be over
here
Our eternity in heaven is a
reward promised to those
who loved and served
the Lord
We were created to know
love and serve the Lord
Take our hearts, Oh Lord,
we give them to You
Our love goes with us
Love never dies
We will go to the other side
Our love never dies
Like ripples on a pond
It lasts forever
Love mightily serving God
not for affections for ourselves
for power, manipulation
Love to give to God who gave us
life
Love given with a pure heart
never dies
Love to build God's Kingdom
