                In the Month of the Sacred Heart

                R. Dear Jesus,

                    Please help me to see as You want me to see.
                Open my eyes to be as You want me to be –
                help my heart to be filled with the love of God.
                Holy Spirit fill me.

                    Dear God help me not to judge others,
                but to love others as You intend me to do.
                Open my heart and my eyes. Guard my steps,
                help me to be faithful to Your call for me –
                Give me the courage to do what You ask
                of me and the grace to do it the way You
                want it done.

                    Help me to be faithful to Your call. Strengthen
                me in all I do – to do Your work as You desire –

                Sing: Teach Me to Love with Your Heart

Sing: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

                R. Dear God help me in all I do this day – to
                    love and serve You and keep Your
                    commandments, to live according
                    to Your will in love –

                Alleluia, God is with His people – His
                    dwelling is with His faithful ones –
                    let us never be put to shame –

                The Lord is our King and we are under Him –

                Let us rejoice in the Lord, Alleluia –

                Let us walk in the light, so we never
                    stumble in the ways of darkness,
                    Let our path be, the way God wants for us.

                Let our hearts be ever faithful and
                    upright in the Lord, Alleluia –

                Let the joy come to us as we walk
                    as ones with an upright heart –
                    let us never be put to shame –
                    or walk in darkness, but follow
                    the path, the Lord wants us to trod –

                Dear God help us to walk by your ways,
                    help us to be just and to do what is
                    right –
                    Let no deception be in our hearts –
                    Let not our ways be the ways of
                        folly, but the ways of justice
                        and right – always walking
                        in the truth –
                        For God is my Savior
                        Let me never be put to shame –

                God brings the light and we see His beauty
                    and His Might –
                    Like the curtain that opens a new day –
                    We wait on the Lord to show us the
                    path to follow –
                    We wait on the Lord –
                    We wait on His light to show us the way –
                    We do not walk in the darkness, lest we
                        stumble and fall –
                    We do not play by the dark waters at
                        night fall, lest we fall in and
                        be consumed by the night –

                Play by the light of day –

                Walk in the Garden of the Lord –

                Let the sun show its light that you may
                    bask in it and know its warmth
                    and comfort – day by day – the light
                    shines on us and when the earth
                    needs refreshment a gentle rain
                    comes sent by the hand of the Savior –

                To some they stumble in the darkness and
                    walk in the storms – they stir the
                    lake with their anguish and turn
                    their backs to the peace God wants us
                    to know by living harmoniously with Him
                    in all things –

                Do not live in disharmony with the Master –
                    only a fool would oppose the one
                    who gives them bread and light and
                    love –

                Oh men of conflict, why would you oppose
                    the Master of love –
                    He raises His arm and the power is
                    seen –
                    He raises His arm and the stars obey Him –

                Why would a man of folly oppose God who
                    gives them their life –

                Foolish ones to live in conflict with the
                    Master of Life –

                Foolish ones to oppose an all loving and
                    powerful God –

                Let our tongues speak of His glory – Let
                    our throats sing on high – our
                    hearts are filled with love for God
                    and our lungs breathe life –
                    as the Savior desires –
                    Life among His people –

                Living in love for God and for our brothers –

                Once there was a man and he was called to
                    grow and to flourish in a loving heart
                    to be likened to the Savior - who showed
                    us love –

                But this man did not recognize that his
                    whole life was to love and serve
                    the Master –

                So he in his pride, did not live by the
                    rule of love – he manipulated to
                    be the master of his own handiwork
                    and ignored the rule of love –

                When the Master came to see how he had done –
                    he had not exercised his heart for love
                    at all, but used his whims to put
                    himself above God and others –
                    How will we be before the Master who
                    called now to see how he lived his life?

                The Lord is King, the man who lives to
                    love and serve Him rejoices, the
                    man who opposes the law of love
                    languishes when his days on this
                    earth have ended –

                Let us live to love and to serve the King, our Master,
                    our God –

                Let us walk humbly and use our days to
                    exercise our hearts – to be hearts
                    likened to God – for God is love and
                    God created us to love – to grow in
                    His image and likeness –

                The Lord is King –
                    the man of pride exercises to put
                    himself above the Master

                And when the Master comes, he languishes
                    for he put himself above God and
                    he did not exercise the Law of love –
                    to love God first and love His
                    neighbor as himself –

                Oh God teach me Your precepts, lest
                    I go by the dark night, instead
                    of the peace of a sunlit day and
                    help me to follow the path You
                    show me to Victory in the spiritual
                    life – Exercising my heart to learn
                    more Your law of love –

                Many sinners do not repent as they were
                    called to do and their life is lived in
                    darkness and they will know their
                    folly in the end, for God is a just
                    judge and He judges them according
                    to their deeds –
                    Let us not live in folly, but follow
                        His ways – always –
                        follow His ways and walk in
                        His light –

                Let our hearts be upright in the Lord –
                    Let the call we hear be the right call
                    to serve our Master –
                    There are many ways to lead us astray –
                    the man of joy follows the call of God
                    and lives by His light, Alleluia –
                    Praise the Lord –

                Rejoice in the Lord, He is our King and Master –

                Rejoice always in the Lord and follow Him!

                Walk by the light, lest you stumble and fall
                    in the darkness and lose your way –

                Walk by the light and know the hand of God,
                    guiding you, so you don't stumble
                    and fall on your path –

                It is a path we trod, not alone, but
                    held in the embrace of God –
                    even in suffering and in pain –
                    God makes our way safe, but
                    we must cling to Him and know
                    His strength – we must rely on
                    His strength in our lives –

                Jesus: Walk with Me through your days – So your days
                    will be leading you to the victory of
                    eternal life –

                Turn not away from My light I use to guide you –

                Waken your heart to grow in love –

                Like a man exercising his body for better
                    flexibility – you know you exercise
                    your hearts to grow in love –

                Spiritual exercises – temperance, fortitude,
                    justice, prudence –

                You exercise your life long to have a
                    holy heart, a healthy heart, a joyous heart!

                Be upright and just and loving in your ways
                    and your heavenly Father will look
                    upon your works and help you
                    as you bring in a plentiful harvest –

                Cast not your eyes away from what
                    God asks of you –
                    Let your eyes be used to see the
                        right –
                        Pray for the vision of God –
                        Look purely through the eyes
                            He gives you to see –

                Pray for greater faith and hope and love –

                Let your life show the beauty of God
                    working in your baptized soul, in
                    love and peace and joy.

                Sing: Peace is Flowing Like a River

                Walk in the ways of the Lord –

                Never stray from the path the Master
                    has set for you –

                Lest you fall in a ravine and
                    lose your way –

                R. The Lord is the King of heaven and earth –
                    Rejoice and be glad – He loves His people –
                    He wants you to be faithful to His call –

                    were used in exercising love
                    and kindness and justice
                    and right –

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

    I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

    I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

    When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.
