The Christian Encounters Others and the World
...The true Christian is imbued with
consciousness of others. That is to say, the true Christian is keenly aware
that, to a great degree, God intends each of us to press on toward maturity
in the spiritual life through a proper encounter with others. Indeed, the
Christian imperative reminds us that we are to walk life's path, not in
isolation, but hand in hand with our fellow human beings.
To authentically encounter others we must
be properly aware of who they really are; we must, in short, be able to
penetrate beyond surface appearances, which may or may not be appealing to
us, and contact others in their core existence. When we are truly in touch
with others at the core of their beings, we are simultaneously aware of
their awesome dignity. We are conscious that these persons are created and
redeemed by God in his love. Fortified with this proper awareness, we are
thus in a position to relate to them as we should.
In order to be in touch with the inner
self of others, we must be aware of or in touch with our own inner or true
self. This awareness, in turn, is an awareness that our self is likewise
made in the image of God, that it has been divinized in Christ and is to be
oriented toward God and neighbor. Here, then, we see the profound
interaction between the three awarenesses and lovesawareness and love of
God, self, and neighbor. As Christians, consequently, we should have a
maturing sense of how our existence is, in varied ways, profoundly
interlinked with the existence of others. This feeling of union with others
is not limited to those we directly encounter, but, in some sense, is
directed to all members of the human family.
...Early in our discussion of the
Christian's encounter with others, we should obviously say a few direct
things concerning the core attitude of love, a trait that should permeate
all other attitudes. It is well to begin by observing a phenomenon of our
culture concerning love: Many persons who choose marriage say they do so out
of a desire to be loved. Notice, they say that they marry out of a desire to
be loved, not to love. In fairness to these persons, perhaps we should
presume that they realize they in turn must also offer love. Yet, is it not
revealing that they explicitly mention as the reason for marrying a
desire to be loved? Could there be a close correlation between this
phenomenon and the extraordinarily high divorce rate that prevails in our
culture? If it is common that both partners enter marriage more from a need
to receive love than from a desire to give it, do we have to look further
for the reason to explain why so many marriages are plagued with various
degrees of unhappiness?

Fr. Carter always talked about the
3 loves.

All 3 are necessary to live deeply
our spiritual life.
We see in ourselves the person God created
and loves and we seek greater
life in Him. We want to be
the person he wants us to be.
Some people focus on everybody else
and don't look at themselves.
Some people stay to themselves, not
realizing that we can become greater
lovers, interacting with others.
If getting along with others means I
always have problems, then
maybe I have to look seriously
at myself, not retreat to
a life alone.
It is difficult many times to have intimate
relationships.
People that love each other deeply want to
work through the big black walls
that come up when we deal with
each other.
We learn about love in living in
relationships with each other.
Fr. Carter spent his whole life studying
relationships and living very
humbly with others in community
life.
He is a model for us.
We learn a lot about love from
relating with others in relationships.
I like Fr. Carters Chapter in his
Response to God's Love book.
It is Chapter 8 The Christian Encounters
Others and the World
He always had me teach this chapter at XU
ever since I knew him.
I learned a lot from teaching the class.
This became my mission, a lot, to talk
about relationships.

There are so many untruths out there. Jesus is giving us these messages that
men will know the truth. He is the Truth. He is telling us how He is. For
generations man has lived on the earth interpreting things in certain ways.
Man is not God, he has a fallen nature. He acts imperfectly.
God has given to us His holy Church. The Pope possesses
the highest teaching authority in the Church.
The keys of the Church, so to speak, God gave to Peter and
this lineage has been passed down from Pope to Pope. Priests have authority
given from God, but they can act incorrectly. They must stay connected to
the Pope, to the teaching authority in the Church.

Lady. Before Jacinta died, she told of other messages given her (during her
illness) by Mary:

March 21, 1999 - Received
on March 20, 1999 to appear March 21, 1999 - Second Message
Because of the Willfulness of Many, Mary Has a
Weak Mother Role in the Church: Mary has authority as Mother of the
Church.
Mary speaks: There is a definite problem in my
churches in that I am the Mother, but many ignore me. I want to bring them
to my Son, Jesus, so that they will have a tender, loving union with Him,
but they do not come to me. They ignore me.
I am the Mother of the children, but my role is so weak,
because many will not listen.
They have meetings in my churches and teach all kinds of
things from diaper surveying to making money at the festivals and when I
come to tell them of the treasure before their very eyes, Jesus truly
present in the Eucharist, they ignore me.
They have Girl Scouts and soccer and basketball and
violin, they have parties and auctions and plays, ice cream socials. Some
schools have almost completely extinguished my rosary being recited with the
school children.
Why do I appear in Florida? It is to lead men to the deep
burning Eucharistic Heart of their Savior. This is the power source of the
world. You must do as I have requested at Fatima. My Son wishes you to obey
His message of January 22, 1998, to start prayer chapters and circulate the
priestly newsletters.

The Christian Encounters Others and the World
...God wants us to receive love, and we have
a need to receive love; however, we must not allow this legitimate desire to
degenerate into a morbid preoccupation whereby we always enumerate all the
different ways that others should be manifesting love toward us while, at
the same time, we ourselves might be guilty of neglecting numerous
opportunities for loving them. If our main concern is to love others rather
than to be loved by them, I think we will more often than not be surprised
at the love others show us over a lifetime. Nonetheless, even in the event
that we might feel slighted in this regard, our vocation as Christians is
eminently clear: we ourselves must continue to love even when it is
extremely difficult to do so, thus following the example of Jesus who loved
even those who nailed him to the cross...

Messenger:
My mom died when I was five
years old. We may not understand why
God would allow the mother of 5
children, the youngest 5 years old to
die of cancer. My mom died when she
was 48.
At about 48 years old, Mary began appearing
to me daily. It was that summer Fr. Carter
came as Mary appeared and my two
small children were there also at the apparition.
Fr. Carter wrote the prayers down Jesus
gave to him in the Prayer Manual, he
wrote the Tell My People and the
Spirituality Handbook and the lst
Newsletter.
This was 10 years ago. The prayer
chapters began THEN Fr. Carter took me
to Falmouth and told me to begin a
Prayer Chapter for the Shepherds of Christ. We
were walking by the stations, I
still remember seeing the station
of the Crucifixion and Christ under
the cross.
Soon Jesus would tell me to
ask Fr. Smith if we could have the
Prayer Chapters on Tuesday nights at
the old seminary. I did ask Fr. Smith
and he said yes Jesus told me to have
it the last Tuesday of August, 1994.
On the last Tuesday of August, 1996
Mary gave me Mary's Message
On the last Tuesday of August, 1997,
Jesus told Fr. Carter to say the first Mass
in China.
On August 27, 1996 here is the

Mary speaks: I stood beneath
the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my
eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my
Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little
children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my
Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this
light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross
and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the
ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for
you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead.
I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver
messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the
same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help
the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood
beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish
for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched
for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of
my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children.

September 18, 1993
Jesus speaks: Little child, come and be filled. It
is here, with Me, that you are nourished and set free. Your love is made
whole here. I give you joy in your soul. I sanctify you and you are made
holy by Me. Yes, child, you are holy-I make you so. Respect yourself and the
gift you are to this world. I shine from your eyes and I smile with your
lips. I hug My hugs with your arms. Do you not know how I need you, so holy
and pure?
Don't let Satan plant his little ugly words in your heart.
He tries to bring you down. Shut him up, little one. Listen to Me proclaim
your dignity and honor. See yourself beautiful, loving, smiling, being,
spontaneous. Satan has no power over you. My light shines from your temple
to your toes.
Do not let others affect your moods at all. No one can
alter the way you are filled with My light. Your light shines in the
darkness if you do not let them affect you. You must stay very fixed to Me
to do this. Look at them and pray for them. Pray for all you talk to. They
need your prayers.They need My grace to wake them to My love. You are My
preacher of love. My love is ever abounding. It is not for a few, or some.
It extends to all My children. I love every little one. I want to reach all.
I want to give each My unbounded love, as they reject Me Whom they do not
see. You know what they do to you they do more to Me. Pray for My little
ones your life touches. This is the most important thing you can do.
Your power radiates from within or it is squelched by the
devil and does not radiate at all. I create an energy in you. Stay focused
in Me.You are not affected by those around you. When I died on the cross,
nothing they said or did affected the way I was. My light was fixed. It
shone on them who nailed Me to the cross. It shone in the darkness and many
were saved who watched Me. Let your light shine for all the world to see. It
is I Who am your generator. Like the houses in Medjugorje, only the houses
with generators lit up the night. Others were pitch black. When the
generator kicked in, the lights shone so bright in the darkness. You shine
more when you are surrounded by darkness if you stay fixed in Me. I shone
brightly at My death. In such brutality My light shone as the brightest
light. In the night you must shine. Many are living in darkness. You do not
go there.
No one need to affect your behavior. You are rooted in Me.
I generate a power in you. I am God and My power is very powerful. You must
ward off Satan's weak pull. Others want to draw you into their darkness. Do
not go there. Shine as the brightest star, shine in the night, shine as a
beacon light. You saw darkness in Medjugorje. You know this concept. When it
is dark, a light shines so bright.
Many of your brothers are in darkness. You must stay fixed
in Me that your light shine bright as the light on the dark night. I give
you this message, My lights of the world. Many lights light up the darkness
and it shows in the dark night as if there is no darkness at all. Be the
light to the darkness. Shine bright with a generator that is supplied by Me.
Do not let your brothers pull you in. You remain in Me and you will never
thirst. You will run and not get weary. You will fly on eagles' wings and
your days will be joyous in the troubled world. Alleluia. I am your power.
