Colossians 1: 24-28

It makes me happy to be suffering for you now, and in my own body to make up all the hardships that still have to be undergone by Christ for the sake of his body, the Church, of which I was made a servant with the responsibility towards you that God gave to me, that of completing God’s message, the message which was a mystery hidden for generations and centuries and has now been revealed to his holy people. It was God’s purpose to reveal to them how rich is the glory of this mystery among the gentiles; it is Christ among you, your hope of glory: this is the Christ we are proclaiming, admonishing and instructing everyone in all wisdom, to make everyone perfect in Christ.

                Sufferings are wasted

God gives us sufferings and we
can offer them up for souls,
                    for ourselves, for our family,
                    for the nation

We can see how Christ suffered —
He took on our sins —
He suffered in His body —
                    Whipped, wounds —
                    suffering for the sins
that men do to others in not loving
and working together as they were
                    called to do —

God commands us to love Him
                and love one another —

It is not a choice — we can
                rebel against God's will of
loving God and one another —

                It is a miserable existence
                to operate out of woundedness
                in ourselves, from the
                past and deny ourselves the
truth — so we can be converted —
live more and more in the image
of God and die to our imperfections.
Our life should be a life of living
                our vocation to the greatest
level we can as we contribute
to the building up of the
                Kingdom of God by giving
                of ourselves as we grow
                in greater perfection — more
                like our heavenly Father —
                Little things done in
                surrender in the community
we live with in love —

                Building relationships that support
                the whole of mankind according
to the rules of God —

By Adam and Eve's sin we all
                suffered —

I heard on Bishop Sheen how
he said so many can be lost
because of the denial of one
man to do his part —

We see what one person does —
We see what Christ did for us all —

We were uniquely created by God
                to make the contribution to
                humanity God wants —

When Adam and Eve rebelled the
whole human race was affected —

We see great men like Pope John Paul II,
God called him to this greatness
                and he lived his vocation
and reached out to the whole
earth — he could have been
                selfish, but his choice as
                he says here —

The Father's Will for Us  - Our Source of Peace

  • Pope John Paul II instructs us: "The Church, as a reconciled and reconciling community, cannot forget that at the source of her gift and mission of reconciliation is the initiative, full of compassionate love and mercy, of that God who is love (see 1 John 4:8) and who out of love created human beings (see Wisdom 11:23-26; Genesis 1:27: Psalms 8:4-8)…He created them so that they might live in friendship with Him and in communion with one another.

"God is faithful to His eternal plan even when man, under the impulse of the evil one (see Wisdom 2:24) and carried away by his own pride, abuses the freedom given to him in order to love and generously seek what is good, and (instead) refuses to obey his Lord and Father. God is faithful even when man, instead of responding with love to God’s love, opposes Him and treats Him like a rival, deluding himself and relying on his own power, with the resulting break of relationship with the One who created him. In spite of this transgression on man’s part, God remains faithful in love.

"It is certainly true that the story of the Garden of Eden makes us think about the tragic consequences of rejecting the Father, which becomes evident in man’s inner disorder and in the breakdown of harmony between man and woman, brother and brother (see Genesis 3:12 ff; 4:1-16). Also significant is the Gospel parable of the two brothers (the parable of the ‘prodigal son’; see Luke 15:11-32) who, in different ways, distance themselves from their father and cause a rift between them. Refusal of God’s fatherly love and of His loving gifts is always at the root of humanity’s divisions.

"But we know that God…like the father in the parable (of the prodigal son), does not close His heart to any of His children. He waits for them, looks for them, goes to meet them at the place where the refusal of communion imprisons them in isolation and division. He calls them to gather about His table in the joy of the feast of forgiveness and reconciliation.

"This initiative on God’s part is made concrete and manifest in the redemptive act of Christ, which radiates through the world by means of the ministry of the Church." 13

Living is being more and more
in that image and likeness of
Jesus, who took on our sins
and died for us that we could
                share in His life —

                    Men for Christ
                    Men for others

                    Men suffering to bring greater
                life to the body —

                    Blood brings life —

Jesus gives us His Body and
Blood today — He feeds us so
                we will be His instruments
                in this world —

                    The greatness we were called
to is to deny ourselves, to discipline
ourselves, to suffer for Him, for
the souls, to take up our
cross and look at Jesus — falling
from exhaustion under the cross —
for His Heart was consumed with
                love for us.

Gave and Gave — carried our
                sins — Going out —
Carried the cross with His Heart
                consumed with love.

                Love gives —
                Love dies to selfishness —
Love is unity with others —

                Love is service according
to God's will — like Pope John Paul II
                    and Bishop Sheen —

Giving for the sake of building
                    up the Kingdom of God

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994

                Dying and rising in Him

Jonah was in the belly of the
                    whale 3 days

Jesus was in the belly of
                    the earth

Jesus took on our sins —

                    Jesus suffered for the
control and jealousies and selfishness —
Look at Jesus - keep on keeping on —
                Covered with Blood —

His love for us - consumed Him —
His love to do the Father's will —
to His death on the cross

Matthew 4: 23-25

He went round the whole of Galilee teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and illness among the people. His fame spread throughout Syria, and those who were suffering from diseases and painful complaints of one kind or another, the possessed, epileptics, the paralysed, were all brought to him, and he cured them. Large crowds followed him, coming from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judaea and Transjordan.

Christ asks us if we have room in
                    our hearts for Him —
for what the Father wants of us

Or do we have our own agenda
There was not room for Christ
in the Inn when He came
                    to the earth —

He came on bare wood in
                    a stable

He went out on bare wood —

Christ sent them out to find the
room for the Last Supper —
                exactly as He told them
And they did exactly as He told
                    them —

Luke 22: 11-14

and tell the owner of the house, "The Master says this to you: Where is the room for me to eat the Passover with my disciples?" The man will show you a large upper room furnished with couches. Make the preparations there.' They set off and found everything as he had told them and prepared the Passover. When the time came he took his place at table, and the apostles with him.

Mark 14: 22-24

And as they were eating he took bread, and when he had said the blessing he broke it and gave it to them. ‘Take it,’ he said, ‘this is my body.’ Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he handed it to them, and all drank from it, and he said to them, ‘This is my blood, the blood of the covenant, poured out for many.

Jesus, the Son of God, came to this
earth and He, the teacher, told
them exactly what to do —

Jesus told the three to pray in the
                garden of Gethsemane, but they
                slept —

                He said
"My heart is nearly broken with
                sorrow Remain here and stay
                with me"

                He fell to the ground
                He sweat blood
                They slept

Matthew 26: 36-41

Then Jesus came with them to a plot of land called Gethsemane; and he said to his disciples, 'Stay here while I go over there to pray.' He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with him. And he began to feel sadness and anguish.

Then he said to them, 'My soul is sorrowful to the point of death. Wait here and stay awake with me.' And going on a little further he fell on his face and prayed. 'My Father,' he said, 'if it is possible, let this cup pass me by. Nevertheless, let it be as you, not I, would have it.' He came back to the disciples and found them sleeping, and he said to Peter, 'So you had not the strength to stay awake with me for one hour? Stay awake, and pray not to be put to the test. The spirit is willing enough, but human nature is weak.'

He sweat blood in the garden —

He prayed on the rock in the
                    garden

                Peter slept —

Oh God help us to wake up and listen
                    rather than make You come
to us time and time again while
we sleep and rebel against simple
                    requests to live our vocation
commitment as God has called us
                    to —

To be a suffering servant like
                    Jesus —

To serve the Lord as He calls
                    us —

                Because many did not hear
                    what God wanted because
                    one man —
was rebellious and said no —

                Some kill their own babies
                    today and tell themselves
                    it's okay —

                Guilt stored in the body

Guilt from sins — stored like old wounds

Jesus took up His cross —

John 19: 12-13

From that moment Pilate was anxious to set him free, but the Jews shouted, ‘If you set him free you are no friend of Caesar’s; anyone who makes himself king is defying Caesar.’ Hearing these words, Pilate had Jesus brought out, and seated him on the chair of judgement at a place called the Pavement, in Hebrew Gabbatha.

Jesus: Oh the Pain I suffered for your
                    sins!!

I was crowned with thorns for your
                    pride and selfishness and how
you hurt so many men by
                    your failure to give yourself
to the calling I gave you

John 19: 17

and carrying his own cross he went out to the Place of the Skull or, as it is called in Hebrew, Golgotha,

Mary and Jesus looked into each
                    others eyes

Song: See the Eyes that Look at Mary

When you use others for your selfishness
                    you block My work

The Father has a Plan for them —
The Father has a Plan for you —

You come in to control —
You come in to validate yourself
                You keep people by force
                    under your feet —

                Satan wanted Me to
                    bow to him after
                    I fasted 40 days —

                Block others doing God's work
                Don't do it yourself —

                Souls are not reached

                While you use your talents,
                        your life,
                        your money,
                        your time - to block
                        the will of God —
                        to block others trying
to do the will of God
                        and following My Plan —
                        While you play god —

                Satan said
                    "I will not serve, God"

John 19: 28-30

After this, Jesus knew that everything had now been completed and, so that the scripture should be completely fulfilled, he said:

    I am thirsty

A jar full of sour wine stood there; so, putting a sponge soaked in the wine on a hyssop stick, they held it up to his mouth. After Jesus had taken the wine he said, ‘It is fulfilled’; and bowing his head he gave up his spirit.

Luke 23: 33

When they reached the place called The Skull, there they crucified him and the two criminals, one on his right, the other on his left.

Matthew 27: 57-60

When it was evening, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, called Joseph, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus. This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be handed over. So Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean shroud and put it in his own new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock. He then rolled a large stone across the entrance of the tomb and went away.

John 20: 19-31

In the evening of that same day, the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the room where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, ‘Peace be with you,’ and, after saying this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy at seeing the Lord, and he said to them again, ‘Peace be with you.

    ‘As the Father sent me,
    so am I sending you.’

After saying this he breathed on them and said:

    Receive the Holy Spirit.
    If you forgive anyone’s sins,
    they are forgiven;
    if you retain anyone’s sins,
    they are retained.

Thomas, called the Twin, who was one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples said to him, ‘We have seen the Lord,’ but he answered, ‘Unless I can see the holes that the nails made in his hands and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe.’ Eight days later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. The doors were closed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. ‘Peace be with you,’ he said. Then he spoke to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put it into my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.’ Thomas replied, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him:

You believe because you can see me.
Blessed are those who have not seen
        and yet believe.

There were many other signs that Jesus worked in the sight of the disciples, but they are not recorded in this book. These are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing this you may have life through his name.

                Jesus opened Him mouth and
                    taught them in
                    parables

Matthew 13: 18-23

'So pay attention to the parable of the sower. When anyone hears the word of the kingdom without understanding, the Evil One comes and carries off what was sown in his heart: this is the seed sown on the edge of the path. The seed sown on patches of rock is someone who hears the word and welcomes it at once with joy. But such a person has no root deep down and does not last; should some trial come, or some persecution on account of the word, at once he falls away. The seed sown in thorns is some one who hears the word, but the worry of the world and the lure of riches choke the word and so it produces nothing. And the seed sown in rich soil is someone who hears the word and understands it; this is the one who yields a harvest and produces now a hundredfold, now sixty, now thirty.'

The seed that fell near you —
did you let the evil one
                    steal it

What was the seed in your mind —

Was your bed a bed of rocks,
                    briars —

                You have a choice —

                Does your vocation lived
                    according to God's will
                    produce fruit?

1 Corinthians 15: 20-28

In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

                Jesus healed men of their
                    afflictions —

Men that cover up their wounds
                    and have possessive relationships
                    choking others and not
                    doing what God wants
                    with their lives —
                    can hurt many, many who
                        can be reached if
                        they followed the
                        Plan of the Father —

                Jesus raised Lazarus from
                    the dead —

Jesus rode on a donkey —
                Jesus died for our sins
Jesus rose on the 3rd day —

                We go to Mass —

                    We ADORE Jesus

We see the host — we know

                Song: I Love You Jesus

We offer our whole life in
                    praise and love

Jesus gives us Himself in the
                    Eucharist —

What a sign of how generous
                    we are to be

Prayer from St. Ignatius

Lord, teach me to be generous.
Teach me to serve you as you deserve;
To give and not to count the cost;
To fight and not to heed the wounds;
To toil and not to seek for rest;
To labor and not to ask for any reward,
Save that of knowing
that I am doing your will.

                Thanksgiving —

God gave us the Holy Eucharist
                    Friendship with God

                Reparation —

Reparation for rejecting God's call —
                    Reparation for blocking others'
                                    vocations besides
                                    our own.

                    Reparation for ignoring so
                        generous a lover with
                        indifference, self-pity
                        and anger
                        Me - Me - Me — not
                            God I love Thee

Consecrate your life to serving God —

                Give yourself entirely to Him
                    as He gave Himself entirely
                    to you —
                    love yourself in Him

Love is what God shows us
                    in the Eucharist

                He remains truly present —

It is the Sacrament of His love —

The Heart of Jesus gives us
                    this royal banquet

Love is why Jesus gives us
                    the Eucharist to adore
                    to receive —

                Jesus was betrayed by Judas

Luke 22: 19-20

Then he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ He did the same with the cup after supper, and said, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood poured out for you.

We owe adoration to Jesus —
                We owe thanksgiving to Jesus
We are to have ardent love

                Make reparation for your lack
                    of faith and
                    your controlling others and
                    events —

                Make reparation for your
                    irreverence before
                    the Blessed Sacrament

                Give homage to God —

Love God with all your heart,
                    all your soul, all your
                    being —

                Give God your life —
                Thank God for His grace

                Love, Love, Love
God is the greatest lover —
He is so little loved —

How much do you do for Jesus,
                    but cater to others —

The devil is ruling in the
                    world

                One thing really matters —
                    giving love to Jesus
                    giving love to others —

What's it all worth if you ignore
                    this —

God wants us to spread the
Fire of His love on the
                        earth

Luke 12: 49

'I have come to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were blazing already!

I Love You, Jesus (excerpt)

March 31, 1994
At Priests' Residence Chapel

Jesus: I love you all so, My little ones. Tell My people of My love for them. These souls are starving and they are dying from the disease. I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I am on fire for My beloved ones. You hold the medicine to turn men's hearts back to God. Oh, please tell them how I wait and how I want to love them! I am depending on you to preach My message to My hurting ones. I need you to spread this before it is too late. I love them ardently. I want them to come and be filled by My love. I have all that they need. Please tell them. I am God and I am calling you to deliver this message. Would you not harken to My call?

Oh, how I love them. They are suffering. Please preach My messages. I need you. You are My hands. You are My voice. Let Me live in you and operate from your very being. Let Me possess your soul. I am your God and I call to you this very day. Love is action from the heart. It is not an inactive motion you partake in. Harken to My urgent cry to spread this love from a heart on fire for My beloved ones.

I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I call to you this day. Please answer Me. I call you to love, love of God and love of one another. Very little here matters. You need to harken to Me. I want you to shout My message from the housetops, that I am Lord and I am in your midst this very day. I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Listen to Me. Spread My love, love of God, love of your brothers. I call you to love, action from the heart!

To love Me you must come and sit with Me. You will know Me when you spend time with Me. I am here, little one. Come and let Me give you all the love I have for you. Nothing here can compare to the love of God. I am Jesus. I am your God. I truly love you, My sweet one. Come to Me.

I am your beloved. Though you pass through raging waters, you will not be harmed. I come to you this very day. I am present to you now! I love you, little one. Let Me hold you and nurse your little wounds. It is in your trials that you are strengthened. Come and be taught by Me. I teach you such sweet lessons. Do not fret, do not fume. Leave all things up to Me, for I am Jesus, Son of the Living God. I am Who am and I am God, beloved of My Father. I died for love of you. I love you this same way this very day. I am He Whose bootstraps you are unworthy to tie and I come to you and you heed My call.

Pray for your brothers. Make your life a constant prayer. Do not busy yourself with any incidentals of this world. Time is too short. You must harken to My call. I am Jesus. I love you. Do not worry. I tend to all the details of your life. I am your beloved Savior. If I died such a brutal death for love of you, do you not think I would be there with you in this little trial? Do you think that I am calling you to do this and then do not watch your every move? That is all I need to tell you. All else is incidental if you believe that.

Revelation 3: 18-19

I warn you, buy from me the gold that has been tested in the fire to make you truly rich, and white robes to clothe you and hide your shameful nakedness, and ointment to put on your eyes to enable you to see. I reprove and train those whom I love: so repent in real earnest.'

                Sing: Shepherd Me Oh God

Colossians 3: 1-4

Since you have been raised up to be with Christ, you must look for the things that are above, where Christ is, sitting at God’s right hand. Let your thoughts be on things above, not on the things that are on the earth, because you have died, and now the life you have is hidden with Christ in God. But when Christ is revealed-and he is your life-you, too, will be revealed with him in glory.

John 14: 1-3

Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You trust in God, trust also in me.
In my Father’s house
    there are many places to live in;
otherwise I would have told you.
I am going now to prepare a place for you,
and after I have gone
    and prepared you a place,
I shall return to take you to myself,
so that you may be with me
where I am.

                Helping others

If you were raised with Christ seek what
                    is above —

When I meet God — I want to return
all the ways I have used my talents
                    to build His Kingdom —
given every moment for God —
Jesus is the King of Kings I have served.

One foot is with my fellow men —
                One foot with God —

                Loving music —
                Loving life —
                Loving people —

We live being one in Him —

Dwelling in Their Hearts is our little
                    heaven on earth —

Melody of love in my soul —
Love all God has created for us —

                We love life —
                We are grateful —

We are sorry if in any way we squander
                    His gifts —

We die with Christ to live more
the resurrected life in Him —

Thank You Lord — We love You —

                Sing: Hail Mary Gentle Woman

Jesus I trust in You —
I give you something to do and
I trust You will do it —

the exposed Eucharist in China —
                    all people in the world

Trust Jesus that He who died
for them will take care of them

We are to trust God —

If I want Him to help me
                    I pray and I trust Him —

There are people we need to
                    trust to work with —

Therefore we are true to what we
say and do the best we can and
they are true to what they
say and do the best they can —

We learn more how to trust God if we
learn trust with people we can
                    have a trusting relationship with.

                    more in the image and

                        From Tell My People

The Holy Spirit

Jesus: "My beloved friend, tell My people to pray daily to the Holy Spirit. They are to pray for an increase in His gifts. My people must realize that the Holy Spirit comes to transform them. The Spirit desires to transform you more and more according to My image. Those who are docile to His touch become increasingly shaped in My likeness. He performs this marvel within Mary's Immaculate Heart. The more one dwells in My Mother's Heart, the more active are the workings of the Spirit. The Spirit leads Mary to place you within My own Heart. In both Our Hearts, then, your transformation continues. The more you are formed after My own Heart, the more I lead you to the bosom of My Father. Tell My people all this. Tell them to pray daily for a greater appreciation of these wondrous gifts. I am Lord and Master. All who come to My Heart will be on fire to receive the gifts of the Spirit in ever greater measure! I love and bless My people!"

Reflection: The Holy Spirit is given to us to fashion us ever more according to the likeness of Jesus. And the more we are like Jesus, the more Jesus leads us to the Father. Do we, each day, pray to the Holy Spirit to be more open to His transforming influence? Do we strive each day to grow in union with Mary? The greater our union with our Mother, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, the greater is the transforming action of the Holy Spirit within us.

Daniel 3: 29-31, 42-43

Yes, we have sinned
and committed a crime by deserting you,
yes, we have greatly sinned;
we have not listened to your commandments,
we have not observed them,
we have not done
what you commanded us to do
for our own good.
Yes, all that you have brought down on us,
all that you have done to us,
you have been fully justified in doing.

Do not abandon us to shame
but treat us in accordance with your gentleness,
in accordance with the greatness of your mercy.
Rescue us in accordance
    with your wonderful deeds
and win fresh glory for your name, O Lord.

                Today's Readings

Micah 6: 1-4, 6-8

Yahweh’s case against Israel

Now listen to what Yahweh says:
‘Stand up, state your case
    to the mountains
and let the hills hear
    what you have to say!’
Listen, mountains,
to the case as Yahweh puts it,
give ear, you foundations of the earth,
for Yahweh has a case against his people
and he will argue it with Israel.
‘My people, what have I done to you,
how have I made you tired of me?
    Answer me!
For I brought you up from Egypt,
I ransomed you
    from the place of slave–labour
and sent Moses, Aaron and Miriam
to lead you.

‘With what shall I enter
    Yahweh’s presence
and bow down before God All–high?
Shall I enter with burnt offerings,
with calves one year old?
Will he be pleased with rams
    by the thousand,
with ten thousand streams of oil?
Shall I offer my eldest son
    for my wrong–doing,
the child of my own body for my sin?

‘You have already been told what is right
and what Yahweh wants of you.
Only this, to do what is right,
to love loyalty
and to walk humbly with your God.’

Psalm 50: 5-6, 8-9, 16-17, 21, 23

'Gather to me my faithful,
who sealed my covenant by sacrifice.'
The heavens proclaim his saving justice,
'God himself is judge.'    Pause

It is not with your sacrifices that I find fault,
those burnt offerings constantly before me;
I will not accept any bull from your homes,
nor a single goat from your folds.

But to the wicked, God says:

What right have you to recite my statutes,
to take my covenant on your lips,
when you detest my teaching,
and thrust my words behind you?

You do this, and am I to say nothing?
Do you think that I am really like you?
I charge you, indict you to your face.

Honour to me is a sacrifice of thanksgiving;
to the upright I will show God’s salvation.’

Matthew 12: 38-42

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees spoke up. ‘Master,’ they said, ‘we should like to see a sign from you.’ He replied, ‘It is an evil and unfaithful generation that asks for a sign! The only sign it will be given is the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah remained in the belly of the sea–monster for three days and three nights, so will the Son of man be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. On Judgement Day the men of Nineveh will appear against this generation and they will be its condemnation, because when Jonah preached they repented; and look, there is something greater than Jonah here. On Judgement Day the Queen of the South will appear against this generation and be its condemnation, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and look, there is something greater than Solomon here.

                Not believing on faith —
This is what we are to do —

                Not demand signs —
                God has blessed us —

                God killed the first born
at the time of Moses —

                    The first born passes on
                        the lessons of dysfunction
                        from the parents —

                CHRIST IS the First Fruits

                Pharaoh's first born was killed

Moses said let my people go —

It was the Passover — the blood of the lamb
why the 1st born wasn't killed by
                    the angel of death —

                Christ is first fruits
Jesus is the Lamb of God
                    The Sacrifice is Jesus
                    Jesus brings life

Revelation 12: 11

They have triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word to which they bore witness, because even in the face of death they did not cling to life.

                    Mass today brings life
                    Christ is sacrifice
                    We drink His Blood

                I eat Your body, Lord
                I drink Your blood —

I want Your life in me —

Revelation 12: 11

They have triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word to which they bore witness, because even in the face of death they did not cling to life.

                Pharaoh was disobedient
                    worshipping false gods — himself

                There was the plagues —

God told Pharaoh — let my people go

It was a loving thing God did at
                the time of Noah —

                    The descendants of Cain had
                become corrupt

The people of the earth corrupt —

In the flood — this corruption
                    was stopped

Noah a descendant of Seth would
carry on what God wanted —

                The flood prefigures baptism —
The Old Testament prefigures the New Testament

By the waters of baptism we are
                    cleansed of original sin, but
                    we have a fallen human
                    nature

Blood and water came forth from the
                    pierced side of Christ —

                On Holy Saturday night
                    we see these readings

Genesis — God created the Light
                                    God created the vegetation,
                                    the earth, the water,
We were told to be fertile
                                and multiply

Genesis 1: 26-31

God said, 'Let us make man in our own image, in the likeness of ourselves, and let them be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven, the cattle, all the wild animals and all the creatures that creep along the ground.'

God created man in the image of himself,
in the image of God he created him,
male and female he created them.

God blessed them, saying to them, ‘Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that move on earth.’ God also said, ‘Look, to you I give all the seed–bearing plants everywhere on the surface of the earth, and all the trees with seed–bearing fruit; this will be your food. And to all the wild animals, all the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that creep along the ground, I give all the foliage of the plants as their food.’ And so it was. God saw all he had made, and indeed it was very good. Evening came and morning came: the sixth day.

Genesis — Abraham was asked by God to
                    sacrifice his son —
The Old Testament prefigures the New Testament
God the Father sent His Son —
Jesus obeyed the will of the Father —

Abraham and Christ were obedient to the
                    will of God —
                    sacrifice
                    Blood

Christ the Blood of the Lamb
                Christ brings life
Christ gives us a sharing in His
                    life in baptism

                Moses — Exodus
                    Dividing of the Red Sea
                    prefigures baptism
                    Pharaoh was obstinate

                Sing: Come to the Water

We owe God reparation for our
sins and the sins of the human
race — the Mass is the sacrifice
of Calvary - sacramentally made present —
we make reparation, and we give thanksgiving,
praise, love to God at the Mass and
we petition God in prayer for the priests,
the Church and the world and all our
                    needs —
We are penitent — sorry for our
sins and the sins of the human race

Exodus 15: 1-6, 17-18

Song of victory

It was then that Moses and the Israelites sang this song in Yahweh’s honour:

I shall sing to Yahweh,
for he has covered himself in glory,
    horse and rider
he has thrown into the sea.
Yah is my strength and my song,
to him I owe my deliverance.
He is my God and I shall praise him,
my father’s God and I shall extol him.
Yahweh is a warrior;
Yahweh is his name.

Pharaoh’s chariots and army
he has hurled into the sea
the pick of his officers
have been drowned in the Sea of Reeds.
The ocean has closed over them;
they have sunk to the bottom like a stone.
Your right hand, Yahweh,
    wins glory by its strength,
your right hand, Yahweh,
    shatters your foes,

You will bring them in and plant them
on the mountain which is your heritage,
the place which you, Yahweh,
    have made your dwelling,
the sanctuary, Yahweh,
    prepared by your own hands.
        Yahweh will be king
            for ever and ever.

Isaiah 54: 5-14

For your Creator is your husband,
Yahweh Sabaoth is his name,
the Holy One of Israel is your redeemer,
he is called God of the whole world.
Yes, Yahweh has called you back
like a forsaken, grief–stricken wife,
like the repudiated wife of his youth,
says your God.
I did forsake you for a brief moment,
but in great compassion
    I shall take you back.
In a flood of anger, for a moment
I hid my face from you.
But in everlasting love
I have taken pity on you,
says Yahweh, your redeemer.
For me it will be as in the days of Noah
when I swore that Noah’s waters
should never flood the world again.
So now I swear never to be angry with you
and never to rebuke you again.
For the mountains may go away
and the hills may totter,
but my faithful love will never leave you,
my covenant of peace will never totter,
says Yahweh who takes pity on you.

The new Jerusalem

Unhappy creature, storm–tossed,
    unpitied,
look, I shall lay your stones on agates
and your foundations on sapphires.
I shall make your battlements rubies,
your gateways firestone
and your entire wall precious stones.
All your children
    will be taught by Yahweh
and great will be
    your children’s prosperity.
In saving justice you will be made firm,
free from oppression:
    you will have nothing to fear;
free from terror:
    it will not approach you.

Baruch 3: 9-15, 32—4:4

Listen, Israel, to commands
    that bring life;
hear, and learn what knowledge means.
Why, Israel, why are you in the country
    of your enemies,
growing older and older in an alien land,
defiling yourselves with the dead,
reckoned with those who go to Sheol?
It is because you have forsaken
    the fountain of wisdom!
Had you walked in the way of God,
you would be living in peace for ever.
Learn where knowledge is,
    where strength,
where understanding, and so learn
where length of days is, where life,
where the light of the eyes
    and where peace.

But who has found out where she lives,
who has entered her treasure house?

But the One who knows all discovers her,
he has grasped her with his own intellect,
he has set the earth firm for evermore
and filled it with four-footed beasts,
he sends the light — and it goes,
he recalls it — and trembling it obeys;
the stars shine joyfully at their posts;
when he calls them, they answer,
    'Here we are';
they shine to delight their Creator.
It is he who is our God,
no other can compare with him.
He has uncovered the whole way
    of knowledge
and shown it to his servant Jacob,
to Israel his well-beloved;
only then did she appear on earth
and live among human beings.

She is the book of God's commandments,
the Law that stands for ever;
those who keep her shall live,
those who desert her shall die.

Ezekiel 36: 16-28

The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows, ‘Son of man, the members of the House of Israel used to live in their own territory, but they defiled it by their conduct and actions; to me their conduct was as unclean as a woman’s menstruation. I then vented my fury on them because of the blood they shed in the country and the foul idols with which they defiled it. I scattered them among the nations and they were dispersed throughout the countries. I sentenced them as their conduct and actions deserved. They have profaned my holy name among the nations where they have gone, so that people say of them, "These are the people of Yahweh; they have been exiled from his land." But I have been concerned about my holy name, which the House of Israel has profaned among the nations where they have gone. And so, say to the House of Israel, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am acting not for your sake, House of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone. I am going to display the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am Yahweh–declares the Lord Yahweh–when in you I display my holiness before their eyes. For I shall take you from among the nations and gather you back from all the countries, and bring you home to your own country. I shall pour clean water over you and you will be cleansed; I shall cleanse you of all your filth and of all your foul idols. I shall give you a new heart, and put a new spirit in you; I shall remove the heart of stone from your bodies and give you a heart of flesh instead. I shall put my spirit in you, and make you keep my laws, and respect and practise my judgements. You will live in the country which I gave your ancestors. You will be my people and I shall be your God.

Sing — "You will give water joyfully
                        from the springs of salvation"

Psalm 51: 12-19

Give me back the joy of your salvation,
sustain in me a generous spirit.
I shall teach the wicked your paths,
and sinners will return to you.

Deliver me from bloodshed, God, God of my salvation,
and my tongue will acclaim your saving justice.
Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will speak out your praise.

Sacrifice gives you no pleasure,
burnt offering you do not desire.
Sacrifice to God is a broken spirit,
a broken, contrite heart you never scorn.

In your graciousness do good to Zion,
rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
Then you will delight in upright sacrifices,
—burnt offerings and whole oblations—
and young bulls will be offered on your altar.

Romans 6: 3-11

You cannot have forgotten that all of us, when we were baptised into Christ Jesus, were baptised into his death. So by our baptism into his death we were buried with him, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father’s glorious power, we too should begin living a new life. If we have been joined to him by dying a death like his, so we shall be by a resurrection like his; realising that our former self was crucified with him, so that the self which belonged to sin should be destroyed and we should be freed from the slavery of sin. Someone who has died, of course, no longer has to answer for sin. But we believe that, if we died with Christ, then we shall live with him too. We know that Christ has been raised from the dead and will never die again. Death has no power over him any more. For by dying, he is dead to sin once and for all, and now the life that he lives is life with God. In the same way, you must see yourselves as being dead to sin but alive for God in Christ Jesus.

We see the Jonah reading in
                    today's scripture —

He was in the belly of the whale
                    3 days —

This prefigures Christ in the tomb —

But the victory is the Resurrection

Luke 24: 1-12

On the first day of the week, at the first sign of dawn, they went to the tomb with the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb, but on entering they could not find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled about this, two men in brilliant clothes suddenly appeared at their side. Terrified, the women bowed their heads to the ground. But the two said to them, ‘Why look among the dead for someone who is alive? He is not here; he has risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee: that the Son of man was destined to be handed over into the power of sinful men and be crucified, and rise again on the third day.’ And they remembered his words.

And they returned from the tomb and told all this to the Eleven and to all the others. The women were Mary of Magdala, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. And the other women with them also told the apostles, but this story of theirs seemed pure nonsense, and they did not believe them.

Peter, however, went off to the tomb, running. He bent down and looked in and saw the linen cloths but nothing else; he then went back home, amazed at what had happened.

1 Corinthians 5: 7-8

Throw out the old yeast so that you can be the fresh dough, unleavened as you are. For our Passover has been sacrificed, that is, Christ; let us keep the feast, then, with none of the old yeast and no leavening of evil and wickedness, but only the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Christ is the pascal sacrifice —

Jesus: Follow God the Father, brothers,
                    do the Father's will —
                    Don't be held captive by
                        satan

Adam and Eve disobeyed God —

I give you Myself — the New Adam
Mary — the New Eve —

Consecrate your hearts to Our 2 Hearts —
                    Follow My ways —

I am the seed that leads to victory —

Be seeded in My truth —

Satan is the father of lies —

Do not be captive to his ways —
                    unpredictability
                    lack of commitment
doing what you want saying —
I will do it my way —
                    pride — raising yourself above
                        God
                    Sinning is raising yourself
                        above God —

Commitment to one's vocation — serving
as servants and handmaids of Jesus
                        the Good Shepherd —

                R. Christ is the suffering servant

Isaiah 42: 1-4, 6-7

Here is my servant whom I uphold,
my chosen one
    in whom my soul delights.
I have sent my spirit upon him,
he will bring fair judgement to the nations.
He does not cry out or raise his voice,
his voice is not heard in the street;
he does not break the crushed reed
or snuff the faltering wick.
Faithfully he presents fair judgement;
he will not grow faint,
    he will not be crushed
until he has established
    fair judgement on earth,
and the coasts and islands
    are waiting for his instruction.

I, Yahweh, have called you
    in saving justice,
I have grasped you by the hand
    and shaped you;
I have made you a covenant of the people
and light to the nations,
to open the eyes of the blind,
to free captives from prison,
and those who live in darkness
    from the dungeon.

Exodus  17: 3-7

But tormented by thirst, the people complained to Moses. ‘Why did you bring us out of Egypt,’ they said, ‘only to make us, our children and our livestock, die of thirst?’ Moses appealed to Yahweh for help. ‘How am I to deal with this people?’ he said. ‘Any moment now they will stone me! ’Yahweh then said to Moses, ‘Go on ahead of the people, taking some of the elders of Israel with you; in your hand take the staff with which you struck the River, and go. I shall be waiting for you there on the rock (at Horeb). Strike the rock, and water will come out for the people to drink.’ This was what Moses did, with the elders of Israel looking on. He gave the place the names Massah and Meribah because of the Israelites’ contentiousness and because they put Yahweh to the test by saying, ‘Is Yahweh with us, or not?’

Exodus 3: 1-8, 13, 15

Moses was looking after the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian; he led it to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. The angel of Yahweh appeared to him in a flame blazing from the middle of a bush. Moses looked; there was the bush blazing, but the bush was not being burnt up. Moses said, 'I must go across and see this strange sight, and why the bush is not being burnt up.' When Yahweh saw him going across to look, God called to him from the middle of the bush. 'Moses, Moses!' he said. 'Here I am,' he answered. 'Come no nearer,' he said. 'Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground. I am the God of your ancestors,' he said, 'the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.' At this Moses covered his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

Yahweh then said, 'I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying for help on account of their taskmasters. Yes, I am well aware of their sufferings. And I have come down to rescue them from the clutches of the Egyptians and bring them up out of that country, to a country rich and broad, to a country flowing with milk and honey, to the home of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites.

Moses then said to God, 'Look, if I go to the Israelites and say to them, "The God of your ancestors has sent me to you," and they say to me, "What is his name?" what am I to tell them?'

God further said to Moses, 'You are to tell the Israelites, "Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you." This is my name for all time, and thus I am to be invoked for all generations to come.

Revelation 11: 19, 12: 1-6, 10

Then the sanctuary of God in heaven opened, and the ark of the covenant could be seen inside it. Then came flashes of lightning, peals of thunder and an earthquake and violent hail.

Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, robed with the sun, standing on the moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant, and in labour, crying aloud in the pangs of childbirth. Then a second sign appeared in the sky: there was a huge red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and each of the seven heads crowned with a coronet. Its tail swept a third of the stars from the sky and hurled them to the ground, and the dragon stopped in front of the woman as she was at the point of giving birth, so that it could eat the child as soon as it was born. The woman was delivered of a boy, the son who was to rule all the nations with an iron scepter, and the child was taken straight up to God and to his throne, while the woman escaped into the desert, where God had prepared a place for her to be looked after for twelve hundred and sixty days.

Then I heard a voice shout from heaven, 'Salvation and power and empire for ever have been won by our God, and all authority for his Christ, now that the accuser, who accused our brothers day and night before our God, has been brought down.

1 Corinthian 15: 20-27

From the pierced Heart of Christ
                    came Blood and water —

                Blood for the Eucharist
                Water for baptism

                Jesus: I Am, Who Am!!

                God the Father:

                    I created the earth —
I have given to you My Beloved Son

Excerpt from Response to God's Love by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

The Mystery of Christ and Christian Existence

... In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.

The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.

At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ. St. Paul tells us: "I became a minister of this Church through the commission God gave me to preach among you his word in its fullness, that mystery hidden from ages and generations past but now revealed to his holy ones. God has willed to make known to them the glory beyond price which this mystery brings to the Gentiles—the mystery of Christ in you, your hope of glory. This is the Christ we proclaim while we admonish all men and teach them in the full measure of wisdom, hoping to make every man complete in Christ" (Col 1:25-28).

                Sing: Holy Is His Name

                R. We must die and rise in Him (Jesus)

                Satan wants rebellion, isolation,
                    disharmony, selfishness —
saying I will not serve God —

Satan wants God to bow to him

Matthew 4: 8-10

Next, taking him to a very high mountain, the devil showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendour. And he said to him, ‘I will give you all these, if you fall at my feet and do me homage.’ Then Jesus replied, ‘Away with you, Satan! For scripture says:

The Lord your God is the one
to whom you must do homage,
    him alone you must serve.’

Wisdom 11: 22; 12: 2

The whole world, for you, can no more than tip a balance,
like a drop of morning dew falling on the ground.

And thus, gradually, you correct those who offend;
you admonish and remind them of how they have sinned,
so that they may abstain from evil and trust in you, Lord.

Given July 17, 2010

                R. Let us call to mind our sins
                    and ask for forgiveness —

Oh God we are sorry we offended
You and we beg that You forgive
us when we do what we
                    want against Your will
                    and sin —

Jesus: And why lie to Me for My body
was beaten for your sins —

You can test your brother, the just
man until you do what — hurt
                    his health because of your
                    wrath and anger —

Micah 2: 1-5

Disaster for those who plot evil,
who lie in bed planning mischief!
No sooner is it dawn than they do it,
since they have the power to do so.
Seizing the fields that they covet,
they take over houses as well,
owner and house they seize alike,
the man himself as well as his inheritance.
So Yahweh says this:
Look, I am now plotting
a disaster for this breed
from which you will not extricate
    your necks;
you will not hold your heads up then,
for the times will be disastrous indeed.
That day they will make a satire on you,
they will strike up a dirge and say,
'We have been stripped of everything;
my people's land has been divided up,
no one else can restore it to them,
our fields have been awarded
    to our despoiler.'

Because of this, you will have no one
to measure out a share
in Yahweh's community.

Psalm 10: 1-4, 7-8, 14

Why, Yahweh, do you keep so distant,
stay hidden in times of trouble?
In his pride the wicked hunts down the weak,
who is caught in the schemes he devises.
The wicked is proud of his inmost desires,
by his blasphemies the grasping spurns Yahweh,
the wicked in his arrogance does not look very far;
'There is no God,' is his only thought.

he wishes it on others.

His speech is full of lies and browbeating,
under his tongue lurk spite and wickedness.
In the undergrowth he lies in ambush,
in his hiding-place he murders the innocent.

He watches intently for the downtrodden,

You have seen for yourself the trouble and vexation,
you watch so as to take it in hand.
The oppressed relies on you;
you are the only recourse of the orphan.

                R. My God forgive our malice, for in
                    testing others we bring Your
                    wrath on us, the innocent
man can suffer at the hand
                    of the angry man and
he may continue to do God's
                        work —
while he who tests wants destruction —

This is against the 5th commandment

Matthew 12: 14-21

At this the Pharisees went out and began to plot against him, discussing how to destroy him.

Jesus the ‘servant of Yahweh’

Jesus knew this and withdrew from the district. Many followed him and he cured them all but warned them not to make him known. This was to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah:

Look! My servant whom I have chosen,
my beloved, in whom my soul delights
I will send my Spirit upon him,
and he will present judgement
   to the nations;
he will not brawl or cry out
,
his voice is not heard in the streets,
he will not break the crushed reed,
or snuff the faltering wick,
until he has made judgement victorious;
in him the nations will put their hope
.

Micah tells that the wicked will be punished

                God said —

I will be your God you
                    will be my people —

                    He is our God —
but we are to respond, too,
and be faithful to the covenant

                The Pharisees were questioning Jesus
                    not in sincerity but they
plot to put Jesus to death

When Jesus knows they are plotting
like this — He goes off
                    away from them —

                The Messiah comes to preach
                    about justice and love —

                Jesus came to reconcile men
                    with God —

                Everyone deserves respect —

If that upsets you then you
have to work on that —

God made you to love Him and
                    to love your brothers —

It is up to us to live the will of God —

                We must respect others —
We must treat them with justice
                    and love —

It is a commandment to love
                    God with our whole heart,
our whole soul and our whole
                    being and love our neighbor
                    as ourselves —

Evil lurks in the mind of the
                    man plotting evil against his
                    brother —

This injustice is against the 5th
                    Commandment

Jesus says — I come not to be served, but
                    to serve —

Fr. Carter said — Jesus told him He called
Servants and Handmaids of the Good Shepherd —

The fallen angels said they will not serve —

God called us to lead people to greater
holiness by going to the Eucharist
                                by adoration
by consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary

Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

"Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!

"Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock."

Jesus: Why are you jealous —
Don't block people doing My will —
Why do you raise yourself up —
                Be under My feet —

A mediator can put themselves above
                    those they mediate

In a normal case a child cannot mediate their
father in defense of their mother, for the child
                    under the 4th commandment raises
                    himself even above his father.

The child that raises himself even above his
father who is to be respected is violating
the 4th commandment, in the normal case.

God sets up the structure —

The parents co-create the child —

The child is to recognize the father's
                    authority —

This is so important in teaching the child
about obedience to their earthly father
                    that they learn about obedience
to the heavenly Father when one
is made to obey this commandment.

The children of God on this earth are
to recognize the authority of God —

Satan said "I will not serve God"

Satan — even after Jesus fasted for
40 days — wanted Jesus to bow
                    to him —

                Satan wants power
Satan wanted Adam and Eve to disobey God —
Satan wants people to sin —

When we sin we put ourselves above
                    God

Satan wants us to serve him

                Disobey the commandments

Satan wants a child raising up over their heavenly
Father — who is Creator of heaven and earth —
the Creator of the seen and unseen —

                Jesus is the Mediator between
                    God and man —

Jesus obeyed the Father to His death
                    on the cross

Jesus shows us obedience to the
                    Father —

Jesus shows us His love and compassion
                    for those under Him that
                    He died for them —

Out of greatest love for man — Jesus
bore the pain of the sin in His
body — His body wracked with
pain for disobedience to God the Father
and the commandments of God —
Jesus hung for 3 hours on the
                    cross to His death —

In agony — out of love for us
                Jesus came to this world

A child at an early age —
in a normal home can in disobedience
try to rule over their father
                    in defense of their mother.
This is against the 4th commandment.
This child can be seeking dominance
                        for dominance sake.

This child if allowed to rebel and disobey
will in time if allowed, want his own way
and may say to his Father in heaven
                    "I will not serve God"
and want God to bow to him
and sin against the God who
                    gave us life.

Satan wants us to raise up over God and say
"God I will not serve You"

Matthew 5: 20-26

‘For I tell you, if your uprightness does not surpass that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never get into the kingdom of Heaven.

‘You have heard how it was said to our ancestors, You shall not kill; and if anyone  does kill he must answer for it before the court. But I say this to you, anyone who is angry with a brother will answer for it before the court; anyone who calls a brother "Fool" will answer for it before the Sanhedrin; and anyone who calls him "Traitor" will answer for it in hell fire. So then, if you are bringing your offering to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar, go and be reconciled with your brother first, and then come back and present your offering. Come to terms with your opponent in good time while you are still on the way to the court with him, or he may hand you over to the judge and the judge to the officer, and you will be thrown into prison. In truth I tell you, you will not get out till you have paid the last penny.

The Ten Commandments

  1. I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me.
  2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.
  3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
  4. Honor your father and your mother.
  5. You shall not kill.
  6. You shall not commit adultery.
  7. You shall not steal.
  8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
  10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.

Jesus: You are accountable for your sins —
                    raising up above God —

Doing what you want that is
                    hurting your brother, My
                    work of loving, with
                    malice —
developing vices instead of virtues —

                I showed you the way

                The arrogant child disobeys their
                    just parents for power —

                In dysfunctional homes —
                    the enabler sees themselves as
                    more and more perfect and
looks at the sins of others —
                        imperfections
they do not deal with their
                        own imperfections —
like a wise old owl they think —

                    they will manipulate others —
to get them under them —
this shows the weakness hidden in their
                        own life —
they are weak is seeing themselves
as a child of God —
                        so they make others dependent
                            by force, control —
so they will always have power
                            over —

                A just man realizes
even God gives us a free will —

The unjust man — rules and holds onto things
                    to have power

                Blocking God's power and
                    people independently choosing
                    what is right

The unjust man can make co-dependent
                    relationships so he can
                    control others —

                Not recognizing his own weakness
has come from wounds in himself
in his own life due to domineering people
who demanded control and have controlled
                    him —

So in his weakness he acts out
on others — forcing his control
                    on them —

                This is a riddle.

A man or woman can lose power at work and he can
come home and take it out on someone else —
the other person if a small child or one
insubordinate may kick the family pet.

This is a common problem with people who
lose power somewhere and take it out on
others trying to dominate the others for their
loss of power somewhere else in their lives.

When Jesus first gave me messages in 1991
His messages were that He had all the power
and that no one had power over Him.

When one acts in power over another
in ways that are offending God
God will be the judge of their behavior.
                    Seeking dominance for dominance sake
is impure. When one wants to rule over
the structure and uses force to usurp
unlawful power - this is wrong.

The structure of the man doing God's will
should be followed even if it is different
than the way we would do it when we
                    are under someone.

If a person uses power over another against God's will
it is not love, but for his own
                    lack of power —

He can see this need in himself to NEVER be under —
                    even with God —

He is always the little child wanting
                    power over those to compensate
for his vision of himself of
                    inadequacies with others where
                    he lost tremendous power
                    against his will —

                A senseless child fighting
the will of God to live
here: to love God and love others —
                    to work on ourselves —
                    our anger
                    our pride
our control of others and things
                        against God's will —

God put us here to work together
                    as a body —

                Jesus is the head —

                We walk in His footsteps
                We follow Jesus —
                We live by the commandments
                    of God

The Ten Commandments

  1. I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me.
  2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.
  3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
  4. Honor your father and your mother.
  5. You shall not kill.
  6. You shall not commit adultery.
  7. You shall not steal.
  8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
  10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.

These are the 7 deadly sins —
                    pride, greed, envy, wrath,
                    lust, gluttony, sloth

                    they rob us of life

We are here to be more perfected
                    like our heavenly Father —

Matthew 5: 48

'You must therefore be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.'

We are to live by this scripture and be
                    blessed —

Matthew 11:25

At that time Jesus exclaimed, 'I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to little children.

Satan wants you to demand control, power over
                    Seeking dominance for
                        dominance sake

Jealousies can be in a person
                    against a parent, against
                    their siblings and they
                    can operate from this woundedness
inside — acting out jealousies —
                    control on innocent others —

God created a harmonious world —
                    one of order —
                    God is a supreme being

Here is what Pope John Paul II said
                    about being a rival
                    to God's will —

From the Priestly Newsletter Book III - 2000 Issue 3 p. 44-45

In AA & 12 steps groups some say that people
coming from dysfunctional homes need to work the 12 steps —
they may do anything to not
change. They want to change everybody else, may
                    use abuse, control, alcohol,
                    drugs, work, possessiveness
as an addiction to not look at
                    their pain —
                    anger eating inside
                    jealousies —
                    rejection —
                    perfectionism

We can hear the voice of mom and dad
at 50 or others who wounded us at an
early age telling us — you need
to be perfect, obey them and
                    you never did enough —

People can wear a mask and look good on
the outside — crumbing under the
voices they listen to inside —
rules - they were taught at home from
                    generations of dysfunction —
survival tactics they needed in a
                        dysfunctional home to survive —
                        they never worked, really worked
                        in an intimate relationship —
they need to see how they
                        manipulate others for friendship
                        when anger mounts —
they can start controlling — go to old
                            patterned behavior —
                            demanding others do things impossible
so the other out of duress
                            leaves —

                God is order
                God is love
                God has all the power

God wants everyone to contribute in
                    their vocation according to the
talents He gave them — in a body —
for the sharing good of God's Kingdom —

God gave us the talents —
To give away to build His Kingdom —
                    to share

Not to horde to get brute control
                    and continue our dysfunctions

In dysfunctional homes — they go
                    on generation after generation —
rules learned — dysfunctional ones —
forced on others if they can
                        get away with it

A person to stop dysfunction in a family
has to look at the dysfunctional
rules and stop them — dysfunction
is taught and tears up lives of people
coming into the family under them —

In AA people have to distance themselves
from the family many times for recovery —
                    until they get healed —
Because the family knows the rules and
                        the second they get around
                        the parents and other siblings
                        the dance steps start and
they want you to do their dysfunctional
                        dance —

                Who is the hero
                Who is the enabler
Who is the dysfunctional person not
                    accountable that makes an
                    elephant in the living room
nobody ever talks about (the rule)

                The secrets

The ways that rules are wrong —

                Possessive - dependent relationships

                The Shepherds of Christ is
to spread the Consecration to the
                    Two Hearts to help renew
the Church and the world —

The heavenly Father's family is dysfunctional

                The Church is
                    one, holy, Catholic, Apostolic —

                What happens in many dysfunctional
homes is the person keeps following
these rules they learned that were wrong
harder and harder and their lives
                    become unmanageable

 THE TWELVE STEPS OF AA

Here are the steps we took, which are suggested as a program of recovery:

                    1.  We admitted we were powerless over alcohol,
that our lives had become unmanageable.

                    2.  Came to believe that a Power greater than
ourselves could restore us to sanity.

                    3.  Made a decision to turn our will and our lives
over to the care of God as we understood Him.

                    4.  Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

                    5.  Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human
being the exact nature of our wrongs.

                    6.  Were entirely ready to have God remove all
                            these defects of character.

                    7.  Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

                    8.  Made a list of all persons we had harmed,
and became willing to make amends to them all.

                    9.  Made direct amends to such people wherever possible,
except when to do so would injure them or others.

                    10.  Continued to take personal inventory and when we
                            were wrong promptly admitted it.

                    11.  Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our
conscious contact with God as we understood Him,
praying only for knowledge of His will for us and
the power to carry that out.

                    12.  Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps,
we tried to carry this message to alcoholics,
and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

They have to face the truth —

They are lying about peace in their hearts —
people leave because they are tense
disharmonious and use force of any kind
to continue their sick rules —

But what keeps it going is
                    The Merry-Go-Round Called Denial
NO TALK, NO TRUST, NO FEEL

This Movement is to help bring
the heart felt love of the Sacred Heart and
Immaculate Heart to the Father's family

That Jesus is the King and Center of
                    our lives

Happiness is Not Something You can Touch (excerpt)

November 11, 1993 St. Gertrude's After Mass

Jesus: ... I am your true Savior and your lover. I fill you with such good things. I do not adorn your bodies or put meat on them. I do not give you money. I do not give you cars, and boats-all the things the world gives you. These things the world says you need to be secure. I give you peace and love and joy. I give you lightness and wisdom. I give you a smile for your troubled heart. I give you all things you cannot touch, but which you crave. Clothes, cars, house are all things you touch, but their presence lasts a moment and then you ask, "What do I get next for my happiness."

Happiness, my daughter, is not something you touch. It is not an item you can buy. It is a spiritual thing in your heart. Your joy, your peace, your love are all things of the spirit. Only I can feed you with the things of the spirit. Only I can feed you with the things of the soul. I created the soul and I make it work. To try to work the spirit with the things of the body is useless. It does no good. I made the soul, I feed the soul. To go elsewhere to feed the soul is useless.

Come to Me, My little ones. How I love you and want to feed your souls. I want to give you all your hearts crave. I want to fill you with My peace, love and joy. Only I can give these things. Go to the world and they will supply you with objects. These do not feed your soul, your spirit. Come to Me and I feed the spirit. I feed the soul. I give you the greatest love there is-the love of the one, true God.

Come unto Me, all who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Those things you seek in this world will all pass away. What I give will never pass away. What you carry in your soul goes on with you to eternity. Carry My gifts in your soul and you will soon be with Me in heaven.

Isaiah 60: 1-6

The splendour of Jerusalem

Arise, shine out,
  for your light has come,
and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you.
Look! though night still covers the earth
and darkness the peoples,
on you Yahweh is rising
and over you his glory can be seen.
The nations will come to your light
and kings to your dawning brightness.
Lift up your eyes and look around:
all are assembling
  and coming towards you,
your sons coming from far away
and your daughters
  being carried on the hip.
At this sight you will grow radiant,
your heart will throb and dilate,
since the riches of the sea will flow to you,
the wealth of the nations come to you;
camels in throngs will fill your streets,
the young camels of Midian and Ephah;
everyone in Saba will come,
bringing gold and incense
and proclaiming Yahweh's praises.

Joyful Mysteries

                Annunciation

                (1) The angel Gabriel appeared to Mary she
was to be the Mother of Jesus.

                (2) Mary said "yes" — Mary is the New Eve.

                (3) Mary did the will of God.

                (4) Eve sinned — she did her own will.
                    Eve disobeyed God.

                (5) God created the world.

                (6) God told them to increase and multiply.

                (7) Everything in creation bears the handprint
                    of God.

                (8) God said let there be light and there was light.
                    "Call"  "Response"

                (9) Man was created in the image and likeness of
                    God —

                (10) Man teaches his children
                    Generations teach other generations —
                        good rules —
                        bad rules —
God saved those on the Ark with Noah —
God flooded the earth at the time of Noah —
The people, at the time of Noah, had become
corrupt — Noah found favor with God —
The flooding of Noah's Ark pre-figures baptism —
The dividing of the Red Sea pre-figures baptism

Pharaoh refused to listen to Moses —
There were plagues God inflicted —
Pharaoh still refused to let Moses' people go.
So angel of death struck down the first-born of all
who did not have blood on their
                        door post —

                    Death — Life

God gave Moses the 10 Commandments and
                        told him to obey —

We are to obey the commandments —

The Visitation of Mary to Her cousin Elizabeth

                (1) Elizabeth was thought barren — she became
pregnant in her old age for nothing
                    is impossible with God —

                (2) Mary, the New Eve, with Jesus in
her womb, made haste to visit Elizabeth —

                (3) The babe in Elizabeth's womb leapt for
                    joy
                    Hail Mary, full of grace

                (4) Mary was conceived without sin —
She is full of grace —

                (5) John the Baptist was born — he was
                    to prepare for Jesus —

Luke 3: 4-6

as it is written in the book of the sayings of Isaiah the prophet:

A voice of one that cries in the desert:
Prepare a way for the Lord,
 make his paths straight!
Let every valley be filled in,
every mountain and hill be levelled,
 winding ways be straightened
 and rough roads made smooth,
 and all humanity
will see the salvation of God.

                (6) The Old Testament prefigures the New Testament —
                    Jesus fulfills the prophesies

                (7) Jesus is the Lamb of God —

                (8) Abraham was tested —
he was tested to see if he would
                        sacrifice his and Sarah's firstborn

                (9) God put Abraham to the test and
                    then God promised Abraham
descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky

                (10) God told Cain — the devil was lurking
at his door, but Cain could
                    be master over him —
                    Cain killed his brother anyway
                        despite God's warning.
                    Cain was punished
                    Cain's descendants were those flooded
                        by the Ark —
Noah was a descendant of Seth —

Exodus 34: 6-7

Then Yahweh passed before him and called out, ‘Yahweh, Yahweh, God of tenderness and compassion, slow to anger, rich in faithful love and constancy, maintaining his faithful love to thousands, forgiving fault, crime and sin, yet letting nothing go unchecked, and punishing the parent’s fault in the children and in the grandchildren to the third and fourth generation!’

                Birth of Jesus

                (1) John 1: 14
                        The Word became flesh,
                         he lived among us,

                (2) Jesus is the Son of God —
We all have a tainted human nature

                (3) Jesus and Mary obeyed the will of the Father perfectly.

                (4) Our hearts are tainted —
Jesus and Mary are our model —

                (5) Adam and Eve sinned.

                (6) Mary is the New Eve.
                    Jesus is the New Adam.

                (7) We are to make reparation to God
for all our sins and the sins
                    of the human race —

                (8) In the Shepherds of Christ we carry
                        a very important message
Jesus is the King of all Kings —
                    The King — Perfect — God —
We need to spread the Consecration
to His Sacred Heart — so people
make Jesus the King and Center
                    of their hearts —

                (9) Jesus led a hidden life for 30 years —
today we see the exposed Eucharist
We know Jesus is truly present
in His Divinity and humanity —

                (10) Mary's life after the Ascension was
to pray and to be with the
                    Apostles — St. John
Mary is our spiritual Mother —
even though we do not see her
today — she is mothering us —
Mary, Mother of the Church help us.

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

                Presentation in the Temple

                (1) Jesus the little baby was taken
                        to the temple —
Jesus is with us today waiting
for us to come and be with
                        Him.

                (2) Do we not have a few moments
in the Church with Jesus —
Jesus comes in the Eucharist —
                        not adorned in gold —
so we just learn more and more
about Jesus as a Person who
                        loves us.

                (3) Sing: See the Eyes that Look at Mary

                (4) Sing: Little Baby Hands and Feet

                (5) The Church is where Jesus
                        pours out such love
                        through the Blessed Sacrament —

                (6) There are so many fallen away
                        Catholics —
                        Love never fails —
                        We have Jesus —
We have a lot to give!!
                        Shout it from the housetops.

                (7) God commands us to love.

Matthew 22: 36-40

'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'

                (8)

Think — Noah and all on the Ark
                        survived —
God gives us the Church —
                        from the pierced Heart of
                        Christ the Church was born.

                (9) We receive a sharing in God's
                        life in baptism —
                        Our knowing and loving
                        capacity is elevated —
                        We can understand insight
                        into the hidden mysteries.

                (10) Excerpt from Response to God's Love by Fr.

Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple

                (1) God created a beautiful, orderly,
                    loving, harmonious, good world.
He made the world so we could see
God's great love for us —
                    He blessed the world with
peace and food and health —
There was no war and violence —

John 10: 10

I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full.

                (2) Jesus is the King of heaven and earth.

                (3) Genesis 1: 26-28

God said, 'Let us make man in our own image, in the likeness of ourselves, and let them be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven, the cattle, all the wild animals and all the creatures that creep along the ground.'

God created man in the image of himself,
in the image of God he created him,
male and female he created them.

God blessed them, saying to them, ‘Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that move on earth.’

                (4) Genesis 2: 18, 21-24

Yahweh God said, "It is not right that the man should be alone. I shall make him a helper."

Then, Yahweh God made the man fall into a deep sleep. And, while he was asleep, he took one of his ribs and closed the flesh up again forthwith. Yahweh God fashioned the rib he had taken from the man into a woman, and brought her to the man. And the man said:

This one at last is bone of my bones
        and flesh of my flesh!
She is to be called Woman,
because she was taken from Man.

This is why a man leaves his father and mother and becomes attached to his wife, and they become one flesh.

                (5) Psalm 8: 4-9

what are human beings that you spare a thought for them,
or the child of Adam that you care for him?

Yet you have made him little less than a god,
you have crowned him with glory and beauty,
made him lord of the works of your hands,
put all things under his feet,

sheep and cattle, all of them,
and even the wild beasts,
birds in the sky, fish in the sea,
when he makes his way across the ocean.

Yahweh our Lord,
how majestic your name throughout the world!

                (6) Romans 7: 14-19

We are well aware that the Law is spiritual: but I am a creature of flesh and blood sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand my own behaviour; I do not act as I mean to, but I do things that I hate. While I am acting as I do not want to, I still acknowledge the Law as good, so it is not myself acting, but the sin which lives in me. And really, I know of nothing good living in me-in my natural self, that is-for though the will to do what is good is in me, the power to do it is not: the good thing I want to do, I never do; the evil thing which I do not want-that is what I do.

                (7) Luke 2: 41-50

Every year his parents used to go to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up for the feast as usual. When the days of the feast were over and they set off home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without his parents knowing it. They assumed he was somewhere in the party, and it was only after a day’s journey that they went to look for him among their relations and acquaintances. When they failed to find him they went back to Jerusalem looking for him everywhere.

It happened that, three days later, they found him in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions; and all those who heard him were astounded at his intelligence and his replies. They were overcome when they saw him, and his mother said to him, ‘My child, why have you done this to us? See how worried your father and I have been, looking for you.’ He replied, ‘Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?’ But they did not understand what he meant.

                (8) Jeremiah 1: 4-7

The word of Yahweh came to me, saying:

‘Before I formed you in the womb
     I knew you;
  before you came to birth
     I consecrated you;
I appointed you as prophet to the nations.’

  I then said, ‘Ah, ah, ah, Lord Yahweh;
you see, I do not know how to speak: I am only a child!’

  But Yahweh replied,
‘Do not say, "I am only a child,"
for you must go to all to whom I send you
and say whatever I command you.

                (9) Matthew 2: 1-6

After Jesus had been born at Bethlehem in Judaea during the reign of King Herod, suddenly some wise men came to Jerusalem from the east asking, ‘Where is the infant king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose and have come to do him homage.’ When King Herod heard this he was perturbed, and so was the whole of Jerusalem. He called together all the chief priests and the scribes of the people, and enquired of them where the Christ was to be born. They told him, ‘At Bethlehem in Judaea, for this is what the prophet wrote:

And you, Bethlehem,
    in the land of Judah,
you are by no means the least
    among the leaders of Judah
,
for from you will come a leader
who will shepherd my people Israel.’

Micah 5: 2

Hence Yahweh will abandon them
only until she who is in labour gives birth,
and then those who survive of his race
will be reunited to the Israelites.

                (10) Matthew 5: 43-48

‘You have heard how it was said, You will love your neighbour and hate your enemy. But I say this to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you; so that you may be children of your Father in heaven, for he causes his sun to rise on the bad as well as the good, and sends down rain to fall on the upright and the wicked alike. For if you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even the tax collectors do as much? And if you save your greetings for your brothers, are you doing anything exceptional? Do not even the gentiles do as much? You must therefore be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.’

Likewise the priest house

is 150 years old.

Jesus told us to repair it

which we have been doing.
