A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul

    Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

Messenger: Include Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center in 6:20 prayers.

                    Pray for funds. Pray for Steve and Sheila.

St. Michael's Church
After Communion

Messenger:     Everything was so perfect. I received Him and now at long
                    last, He was inside of me, my Divine Bridegroom. The priest
                    talked about Covenant with Him and intimacy and that made
                    my heart swell.

                        I love to hear about intimacy with Jesus at Mass, it helps
                    prepare me to receive Him. I cry, I want to be so one with
                    Him.

                        I sit here now in the Church and I hear the words of the rosary
                    being prayed in the distance from those in the chapel. The breeze
                    comes through the window, I hear the cars rush by on the street.
                    outside and I am here with the Divine God who comes to me
                    in the Holy Eucharist and dwells in me in a special way.
                    His love envelopes me. I am warmed in my heart and held
                    in His embrace. Why would I want to run from Church after
                    I receive Him and miss these sacred moments with Him.

                        I remember how devout Father Carter was in sitting
                    quietly before Mass. He turned his hands up and went
                    into himself to be with Jesus. Afterwards he spent
                    twenty minutes sitting in silence being with Jesus.

                        I want the priest to hold the Host so high, I
                    want those moments to linger and I want the moments
                    when he raises the cup to last.

Messenger:     I loved to watch Father Carter look up to the Father and
                    say through Him, with Him and In Him, it was as
                    if the sky opened up and heaven was so united
                    to earth.

Messenger:     I love to watch the priest celebrate Mass so
                    devoutly.

                        I give myself as completely as I can to 
                    Jesus. I give Him everything. I try to be 
                    in that moment, the moment I long for, the
                    consecration of the Mass. My life is centered around
                    the Mass, I see priests celebrating the Mass and raising
                    the host and chalice when I am not at Mass. I unite
                    to this most important moment wherever it is going on
                    around the world.

                        When I know a Mass is going on somewhere else I
                    can unite to it, deeply in my heart.

                        There are so many concerns in the Movement and I
                    keep thinking of yesterday's message about tapping
                    into His might. I look at the concerns and
                    if I count on myself, I wouldn't have anywhere to go.
                    No problem is too big for Him.

The calming of the storm

Then he got into the boat followed by his disciples. Suddenly a storm broke over the lake, so violent that the boat was being swamped by the waves. But he was asleep. So they went to him and woke him saying, ‘Save us, Lord, we are lost!’ And he said to them, ‘Why are you so frightened, you who have so little faith?’ And then he stood up and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. They were astounded and said, ‘Whatever kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?’

Messenger: Our Lord is sleeping in the boat and a storm
                        comes up and the apostles become
                        afraid and wake Him.

                    This is His Movement.
                    I remember Father Carter struggling last summer
                        because after he worked so hard on that twenty
                        page Newsletter, I felt he gave his life for,
                        he coughed and got very sick after that,
                        we didn't have any money and it sat around
                        and we couldn't send it out.

                    We have received so many letters from priests and
                        Bishops how this Newsletter has effected
                        their life, yet we struggled so much to send it out, until
                        someone, one person, who felt Jesus
                        talking in their heart, helped us. That
                        one person effected so many people's lives
                        all over the whole world.

                    B&M majorly has printed most of the Newsletters
                        for the priests this last 6 years. They have
                        printed most prayer manuals, holy cards,
                        Holy Spirit Novena books, morning offerings,
                        Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart material,
                        mostly everything we have printed, but the
                        books.

                    They have the capability of printing books.

                    The situation there now is crucial, they have
                        helped us and worked with us and did
                        everything to get all the Newsletters out
                        and the image cards.

                    Our friends at B&M are truly committed to the Shepherds of
                        Christ and given themselves selflessly to
                        help us.

                    Things are really crucial there.

                    Our Lord said He wanted us to buy B&M.

                    Our Lord wanted only B&M to be our printer
                        years ago. We took everything to them and
                        they helped us in all our needs for
                        everything, mailings, envelopes,
                        duplication orders, school  mailings,
                        nursing home books, etc.

                    We  need your prayers.

                    It is all up to Jesus what happens.

                    When you look at all our ministries it is only by
                        His grace and your prayers and generosity
                        we have been able to do this, but our
                        biggest contributors which keep us going are
                        the apostles, servants and handmaids.
                        They have given their all to keeping Shepherds of Christ
                        operating.

                    Our Lord wants the world to help us.

                    100 fervent people can do a lot with His
                        might, but He is asking the world
                        to help us.

                    So many have profited from this Movement, the
                        writings, the Virgin Mary building, the
                        Blue Books, the Newsletter. We do almost
                        all this on donations, we take in very little
                        selling a few pictures in the store. I usually
                        get the pictures at Krogers, we take lots of pictures
                        on the 5th and there isn't money there to be
                        reimbursed so our availability of pictures is
                        very low.

                    Our Lord and Our Lady want us circulating the pictures
                        all over the world.

                    We never got a picture machine. It is such a gift
                        to have pictures of Our Lord and Our Lady in
                        different colors as we receive them on the 5ths.
                        People would circulate the pictures for us, all
                        over the world, but we don't have funds to do
                        it. The few pictures going out are coming from
                        Krogers and I get them.

                        So many people could help us and do not realize
                    how their little help could make such a difference.
                    We really are touching so many souls. A lot of little help
                    frequently adds up.

                        The gift God has given to us on the building is such
                    a gift.

Why Jesus speaks in parables

Then the disciples went up to him and asked, ‘Why do you talk to them in parables?’ In answer, he said, ‘Because to you is granted to understand the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven, but to them it is not granted. Anyone who has will be given more and will have more than enough; but anyone who has not will be deprived even of what he has. The reason I talk to them in parables is that they look without seeing and listen without hearing or understanding. So in their case what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah is being fulfilled: 

    Listen and listen, but never understand! 
    Look and look, but never perceive! 
    This people’s heart has grown coarse, 
    their ears dulled, 
        they have shut their eyes tight 
    to avoid using their eyes to see, 
        their ears to hear, 
    their heart to understand, 
    changing their ways 
        and being healed by me. 

    ‘But blessed are your eyes because they see, your ears because they hear! In truth I tell you, many prophets and upright people longed to see what you see, and never saw it; to hear what you hear, and never heard it.

Messenger:     The situation is urgent.

                        The Lord did not intend for 100 people to support the
                    Virgin Mary Building, the Priestly Newsletter, all the Blue
                    Books, the videos and the pictures.

                        Here are the words of our founder about 4 months
                    before his death.

Father Carter's plea for help

CAN YOU HELP US?

    As you know, we distribute the Newsletter free of charge. We have been publishing the Newsletter for six years. Although the fine print on the last page of each Newsletter says that donations are always welcome, we have, to this date, only made one major appeal for donations.

    Now we come to you again and ask for your financial assistance. It is considerably expensive to print the Newsletter and to mail it here in the U.S.A. and to other countries around the world. With our English and Spanish editions, we send the Newsletter to readers in about 90 countries. We soon hope to add a French edition.

    With the help of God’s grace, the Newsletter seems to be accomplishing much good. The numerous letters we receive from around the world regarding the Newsletter’s helpfulness are one indication of this.

    If you share with us our belief that the Newsletter is a very worthwhile ministry, we urgently ask you to seriously consider sending us a donation. We are always struggling to obtain the funds to continue publication of the Newsletter.

    If you are financially able, we would be extremely grateful to receive your donation -- whether it is small, large, or medium-sized! We thank all of you who have previously sent donations.

    Some of you may know of possible benefactors who would be interested in helping a worthy cause. And we firmly believe that a ministry which offers an aid for spiritual growth to priests especially, but to others also, is a most worthy endeavor.

Messenger: Here are the words of a dying man as he put together
                    his last Newsletter published, before his death.

                        I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him before
                    his death, I talked to him everyday several times on the
                    phone and faxed him a lot of things for the future of the
                    movement.

                        On the last visit I saw him in the parlor where
                    I had gone early on for spiritual direction
                    and prayer and meetings, our discussion was on
                    funds and he was upset, in his sick state,
                    because he wanted us thanking all of you for your
                    generosity. He was concerned with the money as we
                    always are. I felt so bad, he was so deathly ill and
                    we were talking about money and the Newsletter and
                    I assured him, I would carry on this mission
                    and the Newsletter the way he was telling me to
                    do.

                        I turn to you and ask you to open your eyes
                    and see God in this and Mary on the building.
                    So many people could help that just don't.
                    There are lots of people with lots of money,
                    one large donation can tremendously help us.

                        You know how tough it must be to not have
                    beads for the rosary makers. Ron
                    has a big area in California, we cannot send him
                    Blue Books and pictures, but now we are just
                    suffering for any money and can't get much
                    together. Mary Ann went home to Ohio from Florida
                    because she is a Florida Apostle there and she
                    needed to help one of her children and we didn't
                    have money to send her back in a car.

                        Our Lord told us a while ago to take donations
                    on the credit card, this will soon happen.

                        Our Lady of Guadalupe is considered a great
                    sign. Here in Clearwater, Mary appears
                    every day and the gifts are more pronounced than
                    ever on the 5ths.

                        I want to tell you for your own reading to
                    read the last Newsletter published by a dying
                    man as he battled with his cancer.

                    It was on Work - click on.

                    He worked until almost the last day trying to
                    preserve the Movement God gave him to
                    begin.

                    The Movement is in the infancy stages.

                    Our biggest block is funds.

                    Our Lord wants us to advance in our
                        spiritual ways.

                    Our Lord wants us to be perfected in our ways of loving.

                    Our Lord wants us to be committed.

Luke 5: 1-11

The first four disciples are called

    Now it happened that he was standing one day by the Lake of Gennesaret, with the crowd pressing round him listening to the word of God, when he caught sight of two boats at the water’s edge. The fishermen had got out of them and were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats—it was Simon’s—and asked him to put out a little from the shore. Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.

    When he had finished speaking he said to Simon, ‘Put out into deep water and pay out your nets for a catch.’ Simon replied, ‘Master, we worked hard all night long and caught nothing, but if you say so, I will pay out the nets.’ And when they had done this they netted such a huge number of fish that their nets began to tear, so they signalled to their companions in the other boat to come and help them; when these came, they filled both boats to sinking point.

    When Simon Peter saw this he fell at the knees of Jesus saying, ‘Leave me, Lord; I am a sinful man.’ For he and all his companions were completely awestruck at the catch they had made; so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were Simon’s partners. But Jesus said to Simon, ‘Do not be afraid; from now on it is people you will be catching.’ Then, bringing their boats back to land they left everything and followed him.

Messenger: Reading Father Carter's Newsletter on Work is very
                 important.

            Father Carter went to China twice a week all the way to September 8, 2000
                our Blessed Mother's birthday, that was his last visit
                to China to say Mass.

            He gave us these homilies as great words of wisdom
                for us Shepherds.

Fr. Carter's Homily:

    When a person has chosen to head up a charitable organization, or when a person is chosen to be director of a board of trustees of a prestigious university, those people so chosen feel very honored and elated that they were chosen among so many other possibilities to perform a very considerable task. And they go about that task of heading up the charitable organization or the board of trustees with great enthusiasm, with as complete dedication as time and energy will allow because they want to fulfill the trust which has been placed in them.

    In today's Gospel Jesus says, "You did not choose me, no, I chose you." (John 15:16) Think of it: the Son of God chooses each of us for a very, very, very special task, much more important than just heading up a certain charitable organization, much more important than being the head of a board of trustees of a prestigious university. Do we have the same enthusiasm, the same dedication that these people who were chosen for these lesser tasks have?

    St. Philip Neri – he certainly responded so beautifully and to such a high degree of love to the choice which Jesus had made of him, and so did all the saints. And so we always have to reflect: how do I look upon the fact that Jesus, the incarnate Son of God has chosen me for a very, very, very special mission which no one else can fulfill? Again, are we as enthusiastic about Jesus' choice of us for this very, very special mission as the children of this world are, as they respond to choices made of them for various purposes with such great enthusiasm and dedication?

    Of course it is the Eucharist which gives us the chief source of grace to fulfill the choice Jesus has made of each of us to such a high degree. The saints – they depended upon that same Eucharist and they so admirably fulfilled the mission attached to Jesus' choice of them because they used those graces of the Eucharist in such eminent fashion.

    And so each day as we offer the Eucharistic Sacrifice along with Jesus and as we receive Him at Communion time, let us ask Him, "Dear Jesus, in Your great, tender love You have chosen me for such a special mission to be fulfilled here below. Allow me to respond to Your choice with the greatest enthusiasm, commitment, vigor and effectiveness which Your grace will allow me. Jesus, thank You for choosing me."

                of Jesus speak to you. He is calling
                so many to help and they get distracted
                or satan creates distractions around them
                so they do not help.

            I write to you as I am directed by Our Lord.
            Will you help us do the work Our Lord and Our
                Lady have asked us to do.

            God is calling.

            Mary appears for the whole world on the building
                in Florida, the message needs to be
                delivered, the pictures circulated,
                the Newsletter and Priestly Newsletter Book II
                to reach the priests and the rosary in
                the hands of the children of this earth.
