Genesis 18: 20-32
Then Yahweh said, ‘The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin is so grave, that I shall go down and see whether or not their actions are at all as the outcry reaching me would suggest. Then I shall know.’
While the men left there and went to Sodom, Yahweh remained in Abraham’s presence. Abraham stepped forward and said, ‘Will you really destroy the upright with the guilty? Suppose there are fifty upright people in the city. Will you really destroy it? Will you not spare the place for the sake of the fifty upright in it? Do not think of doing such a thing: to put the upright to death with the guilty, so that upright and guilty fare alike! Is the judge of the whole world not to act justly?’ Yahweh replied, ‘If I find fifty upright people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place because of them.’
Abraham spoke up and said, ‘It is presumptuous of me to speak to the Lord, I who am dust and ashes: Suppose the fifty upright were five short? Would you destroy the whole city because of five?’ ‘No,’ he replied, ‘I shall not destroy it if I find forty–five there.’ Abraham persisted and said, ‘Suppose there are forty to be found there?’ ‘I shall not do it,’ he replied, ‘for the sake of the forty.’
Abraham said, ‘I hope the Lord will not be angry if I go on: Suppose there are only thirty to be found there?’ ‘I shall not do it,’ he replied, ‘if I find thirty there.’ He said, ‘It is presumptuous of me to speak to the Lord: Suppose there are only twenty there?’ ‘I shall not destroy it,’ he replied, ‘for the sake of the twenty.’ He said, ‘I trust my Lord will not be angry if I speak once more: perhaps there will only be ten.’ ‘I shall not destroy it,’ he replied, ‘for the sake of the ten.’
Colossians 2: 12-14
You have been buried with him by your baptism; by which, too, you have been raised up with him through your belief in the power of God who raised him from the dead. You were dead, because you were sinners and uncircumcised in body: he has brought you to life with him, he has forgiven us every one of our sins.
He has wiped out the record of our debt to the Law, which stood against us; he has destroyed it by nailing it to the cross;
Luke 11: 1-13
Now it happened that he was in a certain place praying, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.’ He said to them, ‘When you pray, this is what to say:
Father, may your name be held holy,
your kingdom come;
give us each day our daily bread,
and forgive us our sins,
for we ourselves forgive each one
who is in debt to us.
And do not put us to the test.’
He also said to them, ‘Suppose one of you has a friend and goes to him in the middle of the night to say, "My friend, lend me three loaves, because a friend of mine on his travels has just arrived at my house and I have nothing to offer him;" and the man answers from inside the house, "Do not bother me. The door is bolted now, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up to give it to you." I tell you, if the man does not get up and give it to him for friendship’s sake, persistence will make him get up and give his friend all he wants.
‘So I say to you: Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; everyone who searches finds; everyone who knocks will have the door opened. What father among you, if his son asked for a fish, would hand him a snake? Or if he asked for an egg, hand him a scorpion? If you then, evil as you are, know how to give your children what is good, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!’
First I am aware the Mass is the
Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made
present —
I pray to be forgiven of my sins at the
beginning of Mass.
In the offertory I see the bread and wine
to be offered and I think of myself such
an impure offering to the Father, but I will
unite deeply to the sacrifice of Jesus and
the sacrifice of Jesus to the Father is a
most pleasing sacrifice — A most Holy Sacrifice
I wish to offer —
I am so one with Jesus on the cross at the
consecration of the Mass — so one in the
sacrifice of Jesus His Body offered to the
Father — one in His Blood offered to the
Father — I beg my offering is so one with
Jesus — I know the Father is pleased with
His offering, in the Holy Spirit — I ask
for the gifts — to be saturated with His life
in me — that I will be one with others who
have His life in them. The more we are
saturated with His life in us the deeper
our oneness in Him.
We pray "through Him, with Him and in Him"
We pray the Our Father.
I go to the Immaculate Heart of Mary —
I stand under the cross, at the altar to
offer a most pure offering to the Father —
I am one in Him — through the intercession
of Mary — The Mass being the sacrifice of
Calvary, sacramentally made present —
Then we receive Jesus within us in
the Holy Eucharist — We receive Him in
His Divinity and humanity —
Through the pierced Heart of Jesus the
Church is born and water came forth for
baptism and blood for the Eucharist.
Baptism gives us a sharing in His
life — greater capacity to know and love.
The Eucharist gives us a deeper sharing
in His life — Saturated with His grace —
we become more deeply one in Him —
We leave the Church — His life
is in us — We live as lights in the
world — People who were created for
Him feel an attraction to this life
alive in us.
Saturation in His grace makes us
more deeply one — He lives in us —
There are levels of being saturated
more and more with His grace — Mary
is full of grace —
Our wounded human nature is
healed more and more the more we are
saturated with His grace —
Going to the Eucharist gives us
this deeper saturation of His grace
in us — doing Adoration — going to
confession —
We are more alive in Him —
Our mission in Shepherds of Christ is for
greater unity — as men live united in the
Church as members of the body of Christ —
as we live as one as members of the
Shepherds of Christ — we help strengthen the
Church — the family, community
Members of the Shepherds of Christ, body of
Christ should thirst for a deeper
saturation of His grace.
Christ lives in us more deeply
the more we are filled with His
grace (His life) In this we are more
deeply one —
In giving our Hearts to Jesus and
Mary the pure and holy Hearts we
offer a more pure and holy sacrifice —
Our lives are more a pure and holy
offering — as members of the body
of Christ — we lay down our
lives — we offer our lives as a
sacrifice — an offering —
We do the Morning Offering
