July 4th Holy Spirit Novena |
The Novena Rosary
Mysteries |
Pray for Bob, Mike, Fr. Joe and Ken & other intentions.
Consecration Prayer for Peace
I consecrate Russia and the Ukraine to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I further consecrate the priests, the Church and the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I do this in the name of Jesus in as far as I am able, united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory through the powerful intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace. Amen.
I further consecrate myself, all members of my family and ask the Holy Spirit to fill us. I spread the Blood of Jesus on all above, I cast the devil into hell away from all of us and consecrate all persons, in as far as I am able, to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart.
Prayer for Grace for Election and our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.
July 3. 2023Jesus: Take up your cross and
follow Me.The cross leads to life.
We are to be made more
holy in this life, to be more
pure.
We are to die to self to rise
in Jesus.
There is the time in the
Church- Advent and Lent
when we are to discipline
ourselves for renewal.
Self- discipline is an aspect
of purification.
Fr. Carter told us one
aspect of this is to live in
the present moment.
We can focus in a wrong
way on the past and a
wrong way on the future.
We need to focus on our
lives in the present
moment, redemption of our
souls by living in love now
in doing God’s will.
When God wants one thing
of us, why do we give Him
something else.
We must learn from the
past, and prepare for the
future, but our great focus
must be on the present.
There is a Latin axiom
which says, age quad Agis,
age quad Agis, which
means do what you are
doing, concentrate on the
present, Fr. Carter said..
We need to discipline
ourselves to get as much
as we can out of the
present moment.
He further says, with a
those with a terminal illness have an
opportunity as they
prepare for death for
increased prayer, contrition,
love of God.
Living in the present brings
a greater focus on God.
If I am United to Jesus now,
why should I be overly
concerned with the past or
future?
Focus on Jesus, be United
to Him, live in the present
moment with Him.
With the help of God's
grace
Love each moment as fully
as we can.
I wrote a song in 1978, I can
only live this day.
Sing this song: Live this
Day.
In some Blue Books.
Now is the day of salvation.
Now is the day of salvation.
Remember the parable of
the wise and foolish virgins.
Sorrowful Rosary
Agony in the Garden
1. Jesus shows us how He
had to have periods of
silence to pray to His
Father.
2. Fr. Carter says:” So no
matter how hard it is to do
God’s will in the objective
order of things, it becomes
relatively light if we seek
out the strength of Jesus.
3.It is in the Eucharist we
largely receive this
strength.
4.Eucharistic Heart of
Jesus, we place our trust in
Thee.
5. Dear God, help us to live
by these words: Thy will be
done on earth as it is in
heaven.
6.No one else can do the
unique mission as Christ
has called us, in our lives.
7. God made us uniquely to
contribute to the building
of The Kingdom of God.
8. Jesus’ love for us is so
great. When you love
someone deeply, you are
willing to sacrifice dearly.
9. Let us look into the
Garden and see Jesus, as
He sweat blood for what
He was about to endure,
because He loved us so
much to go through that
anguish.
10. Oh Jesus, thank you for
Your love for me.
Scourging at the Pillar
1. Oh they abducted Jesus,
violently.
2. Judas betrayed Jesus
with a kiss.
3. Oh Jesus, I am so sorry, I
love you with all my heart.
4. Oh Jesus, thank you for
all You did for my sins.
5. Oh Jesus, I love You so
much.
6. They tore His flesh,
beating Him profusely
bound to the pillar.
7. Jesus blood flew in the
air, Saving blood.
8. Jesus stood in a puddle
of His own blood.
9. Jesus could have
stopped it.
10. Jesus lived the Father’s
will.
Crowning with Thorns
1. They mocked Jesus as
King of the Jews.
2. They gave Jesus a mock
throne.
3. They clothed Jesus in
Royal dirty robes.
4. They gave Jesus a
scepter to hold.
5.Then they wove a crown
of thorns and pounded
them on His Head.
6. Jesus is love, Jesus, kind
and gentle in Heart.
7. They were mean and
strong men.
8. They spit on Jesus,
mocking Him.
9. Jesus is King and
deserves honor and
respect.
10. Jesus endured this
humiliation for our sins.
Carrying the Cross
1. They gave Jesus a heavy
cross, laden with our sins.
2. Jesus fell 3 times from
its weight.
3.Simon of Cyrene was
forced to help Jesus carry
the cross.
4. Jesus, the Son of God
endured all this.
5.Jesus teaches us
endurance in suffering.
6. Love, love, love becomes
a state of being.
7. That is a lesson, Jesus is
love, Constant, in joy or
suffering, Jesus loved.
8. I think of Jesus in my
heart, like the way of the
cross, He fell and His
strength
Was in His love for us, His
Father.
9. Love- giving to others
don’t make us weak, it
makes us strong, We are
more like Jesus when we
love. Jesus is perfection.
10.Jesus saw His Mother,
Mary saw Jesus carrying
the cross, love, love and
suffering beyond our
understanding.
Crucifixion
1. Jesus was stripped of His
garments.
2. Jesus had carried the
heavy cross, then they
crucified Him on it.
3. Jesus did His Father’s
will to His death on the
cross.
4.They nailed Jesus to the
cross with big nails in His
hands and feet.
5. Pain, Pain and more Pain.
6. Jesus body was bruised,
beaten raw, bloodied
and then they hung Him on
the cross.
7. Jesus was crucified by
two thieves.
8. There was a good thief
that repented.
9. There was a bad thief
that hollered to Jesus, if
you are God save us and
yourself.
10. God created us for
heaven. It’s like the parable
of the prodigal son, he
came home and the Father
was waiting with open
arms. We have a free will to
serve and love and obey
God or disobey God and
not love and serve.
Heaven is a reward
promised to those, who
love and serve the Lord
and obey God’s
Commandments.
God is all just.
Sing, I am a God of
Justice!!!

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10 |
