Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. Prayer is the lifting of the mind and
heart to God.
We have been taught in Catholic
schools in Church to examine
our conscience from an early age.
We examine our conscience about
the 10 Commandments.
The Ten Commandments
1. I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me.
2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.
3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
4. Honor your father and your mother.
5. You shall not kill.
6. You shall not commit adultery.
7. You shall not steal.
8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.
R. Our consciences are to be formed
according to the commandments of
God.
The greatest commandment is –
Matthew 22: 36-40
'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'
R. In the Jesuits Fr. Carter said he examined
his conscience 10 minutes twice
a day. In that time he took his
spiritual pulse – was he doing
God's will, was he deviating
from God's will and did he need
to pray for grace to put himself
back on tract. Had he hurt others
intentionally – Examining one's
conscience for the deadly sins,
pride, anger, envy, jealousy,
lustfulness, gluttony, slothfulness.
We cannot do what we want to
do – we are to obey God – obey
the commandments of God.
Fr. Joe said that people who are
abused like to nurse anger –
hold out in anger. Fr. Joe said
this is a sin – they are to pray
for the grace to stop this angry
way they are behaving.
Fr. Mike said they are acting –
out their anger from the past –
Fr. Joe said people sexually abused
and physically abused many
times nurse anger acting it
out – they need help – they need
to be healed – not live in
punishing others for 40 years
if they find a victim they can
act out their anger on.
Heaven is a reward for those
who loved and served the Lord –
We are accountable and responsible
for our actions.
Fr. Carter says this about sin –

1) The Nature of Sin
"What is the nature of sin? Contemporary theology emphasizes that sin is not primarily a violation of a law, but a disruption of personal relationships. Sin is a refusal to love. Serious sin is a radical refusal to love. Venial sin is a partial refusal to love. ... Sin, then, because it is a failure to love God, man and the world, is selfishness. ... Sin is primarily a refusal to love God, a refusal to be loved by Him, to be guided by Him."
R. Our conscience is to help us see that we
are doing wrong. We are to examine
our conscience every day and
say the Act of Contrition –

"O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of Hell, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life. Amen."
R. Our conscience helps us every day.
We are to obey our conscience when
it tells us we are lying, hating –
holding out anger in revenge
against our brothers when
God commands us to love our
brothers as ourselves.
We are not to steal from others.
We are not to use our position
over others to abuse others
so we can punish them for our
anger and lie about the truth
tell people to hide things from
authority, seek power because
of loss of power from sexual
abuse or physical abuse as a
child.
God is joy. Jesus is the
Light of the world. A person
that refuses direction and
correction from just authority –
says this to God and others
"I will do what I want"
and they can further use the
organization by punishing
others to force their dysfunction
on the organization.
Learning to steal and punish
to get your way and do what
you want is wrong.
When a person sins they are
told by their conscience it is
wrong and they have offended
God and need to ask for forgiveness
and mercy –
A person who refuses to examine
their conscience daily, weekly,
yearly can convince themselves
they can do what they want –
This can lead to lying, punishing,
stealing to get their own way.
We should know what is
good and bad and have a well
informed conscience to tell
us what is good or bad.
We still have a free will to
ignore our conscience,
ignore what is bad and
sin doing what offends God.
We have choices. Our conscience
helps us see if we want to do
good or evil, if we are
following the commandments of God,
if we are living by the scriptures,
if we are following the teachings
of the Church.
We are to form a good conscience
so we will make the right
choices.
God created us to know, love
and serve Him and He gave
us commandments to obey. They are
His laws and they are commandments
we are commanded by God to obey –
lying is a sin – deceiving people we
are supposed to tell the truth –
starting fights to hurt others,
argue with others for excitement
and power and attention. These
things are wrong in daily life –
to provoke and manipulate others –
passively-aggressively to sabotage
events – then lie about the part
they played to block what was
to happen - is sinful.
God gives us the commandments
to help us – the first 3 are concerning
our love of God; 4 thru 7 our
love and relationship with our neighbor.
We are to form a good conscience
knowing the commandments and
teachings of the Church.
Our conscience calls us to
love God and love our neighbor
and to do good. Our conscience
tells us not to sin – sin turns
us away from God.
We are to examine our conscience
regularly and go to confession –
At the beginning of every Mass
we are to tell God we are sorry
for our sins.
How have you chose to love
God and neighbor in your
choices today – Everyone is
to make an act of contrition daily and
examine their conscience.

137. FIRST PRELUDE. This is the history. Here it will be that Christ calls and wants all beneath His standard, and Lucifer, on the other hand, wants all under his.
138. SECOND PRELUDE. This is a mental representation of the place. It will be here to see a great plain, comprising the whole region about Jerusalem, where the sovereign Commander-in-Chief of all the good is Christ our Lord; and another plain about the region of Babylon, where the chief of the enemy is Lucifer.
139. THIRD PRELUDE. This is to ask for what I desire. Here it will be to ask for a knowledge of the deceits of the rebel chief and help to guard myself against them; and also to ask for a knowledge of the true life exemplified in the sovereign and true Commander, and the grace to imitate Him.
FIRST PART
THE STANDARD OF SATAN
140. FIRST POINT. Imagine you see the chief of all the enemy in the vast plain about Babylon, seated on a great throne of fire and smoke, his appearance inspiring horror and terror.
141. SECOND POINT. Consider how he summons innumerable demons, and scatters them, some to one city and some to another, throughout the whole world, so that no province, no place, no state of life, no individual is overlooked.
142. THIRD POINT. Consider the address he makes to them, how he goads them on to lay snares for men and bind them with chains. First they are to tempt them to covet riches (as Satan himself is accustomed to do in most cases) that they may the more easily attain the empty honors of this world, and then come to overweening pride.
The first step, then, will be riches, the second honor, the third pride. From these three steps the evil one leads to all other vices.
SECOND PART
THE STANDARD OF CHRIST
143. In a similar way, we are to picture to ourselves the sovereign and true Commander, Christ our Lord.
144. FIRST POINT. Consider Christ our Lord, standing in a lowly place in a great plain about the region of Jerusalem, His appearance beautiful and attractive.
145. SECOND POINT. Consider how the Lord of all the world chooses so many persons, apostles, disciples, etc., and sends them throughout the whole world to spread His sacred doctrine among all men, no matter what their state or condition.

"During her appearance in July, Our Lady, in answer to Lucia's plea, promised that in October she would work a great miracle so that all might believe and know who she was. Again, the Mother of God told the children to sacrifice themselves for sinners and to say many times, especially when making a sacrifice, this prayer: "O my Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for the conversion of poor sinners, and in reparation for all the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary." (11)
"During this same July apparition, Mary showed the three children a vision of Hell. She told them:
"You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish, in the world, devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.
"The war (World War I, then raging) is going to end. But if people do not stop offending God, another and worse one will begin in the reign of Pius XI. When you shall see a night illuminated by an unknown light [January 2, 1938], know that this is the great sign that God gives you that He is going to punish the world for its many crimes by means of war, hunger, and persecution of the Church and the Holy Father. "To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the five first Saturdays. If my requests are granted, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not, she will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed....
"But in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, Russia will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world." (13)

THE CHILDREN SEE HELL
As she spoke these words, Our Lady stretched out her hands, and bright rays came forth which seemed to penetrate into the earth. All at once the ground vanished, and the children found themselves standing on the brink of a sea of fire. As they peered into this dreadful place, the terrified youngsters saw huge numbers of devils and damned souls. The devils resembled hideous black animals, each filling the air with despairing shrieks. The damned souls were in their human bodies and seemed to be brown in color, tumbling about constantly in the flames and screaming with terror. All were on fire within and without their bodies, and neither devils nor damned souls seemed able to control their movements. They were tossing about in the flames like fiery coals in a furnace. There was never an instant's peace or freedom from pain.
