I consecrate Russia and the Ukraine to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

I further consecrate the priests, the Church and the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

I do this in the name of Jesus in as far as I am able, united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory through the powerful intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace. Amen.

I further consecrate myself, all members of my family and ask the Holy Spirit to fill us. I spread the Blood of Jesus on all above, I cast the devil into hell away from all of us and consecrate all persons, in as far as I am able,  to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart.

Prayer for Grace for Election and our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants. We pray for the upcoming election.

Excerpt from Priestly Newsletter Book II - 1998 - Issue 4

Devotion to the Holy Spirit

Archbishop Luis M. Martinez instructs us: "Consecration to the Holy Spirit must be total: nothing must draw us away from His loving possession. Undoubtedly vacillations and deficiencies are part of our imperfection, but even so, our love must not be extinguished. Rather, it must lift its divine flame toward infinite love in the midst of all human vicissitudes.

True devotion to the Holy spirit, therefore, is not something superficial and intermittent, but something profound and constant, like Christian life itself; it is the love of the soul that corresponds to the love of God, the gift of the creature who tries to be grateful for the divine Gift, the human cooperation that receives the loving and efficacious action of God. As divine love is eternal, its gift without repentance and its action constant, it is our part to have our heart always open to love, ready to receive the unspeakable gift, and to keep all our powers docile to the divine movement."14

A Scriptural Reflection

St. Paul tells us: "Life to me, of course, is Christ, but then death would bring me something more; but then again, if living in this body means doing work which is having good results--I do not know what I should choose. I am caught in the dilemma: I want to be gone and be with Christ, which would be very much the better, but for me to stay alive in this body is a more urgent need for your sake." (Phil l:21-24)

We should all be inspired by these words of Paul to stimulate our own personal love and enthusiasm for Jesus. After all, for us, to live should mean Christ. What else does the word Christian mean? If we reflect on the meaning of the word Christian, we realize that it ideally means a follower of Christ, one totally committed to Christ, one for whom life has no real meaning without Jesus, one who is willing to live and to die for Jesus and His cause. Why is it at times that we do not allow Jesus to influence our lives as He should? Why at times do we tend to relegate Him to the back of our consciousness and go off in various self-centered directions? Why, apparently, do so many Christians become enthusiastic about all kinds of projects, and yet have such faint enthusiasm for that all-important project which is the work of Jesus? As committed Christians, we should take the appropriate means which will prevent us from succumbing to such an attitude.

We have the privilege and the responsibility of allowing Jesus to live through us. Jesus wants to live in us. He wants us to help Him continue His redemptive mission in and through us. Some two thousand years ago Jesus walked the earth teaching, healing the sick, forgiving sins, extending His love and mercy, choosing His apostles, forming His Church. In all this He was achieving what theologians call the objective redemption. We had no part in this. However, we now live in the stage of subjective redemption--the application of the fruits of Jesus' objective redemption to individual subjects or persons. In this phase of redemption, Jesus asks our help. He asks us to lend Him our hands, our speech, our minds, our wills, our hearts.

In this work of ongoing redemption, each of us has a special mission, a special role to fulfill. No one can fulfill another's mission. Each of us, being a unique person, has a unique mission to carry out. John Cardinal Newman reminds us: "...everyone who breathes, high and low, educated and ignorant, young and old, man and woman, has a mission, has a work. We are not sent into this world for nothing; we are not born at random...God sees everyone of us; He creates every soul, He lodges it in the body, one by one, for a purpose. He needs, He deigns to need, every one of us. He has an end for each of us; we are all equal in His sight, and we are placed in our different ranks and stations, not to get what we can out of them for ourselves, but to labor in them for Him. As Christ has His work, we too have ours; as He rejoiced to do His work, we must rejoice in ours also."15

We accomplish our mission in, with, through, and for Jesus. He is with us showing the way, gently teaching us how to live according to the pattern of His own life. He encourages us when the days become bleak. He constantly reminds us of His tender and concerned love for each of us. He inspires us to greater things. He tells us that He wants us, that He needs us, that He thinks so much of us, that He values so highly what each of us has to contribute. This is the Jesus we follow. To live is Christ.

Matthew 22: 36-40

'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'

Dear Holy Spirit, strengthen our will and
move like a Divine breath in our soul, to
be docile sons and daughters of our
Heavenly Father. Amen.

Alleluia.

Sorrowful Mysteries

The Agony in the Garden

1.
Matthew 26: 36-46

Then Jesus came with them to a plot of land called Gethsemane; and he said to his disciples, 'Stay here while I go over there to pray.' He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with him. And he began to feel sadness and anguish. Then he said to them, 'My soul is sorrowful to the point of death. Wait here and stay awake with me.' And going on a little further he fell on his face and prayed. 'My Father,' he said, 'if it is possible, let this cup pass me by. Nevertheless, let it be as you, not I, would have it.' He came back to the disciples and found them sleeping, and he said to Peter, 'So you had not the strength to stay awake with me for one hour? Stay awake, and pray not to be put to the test. The spirit is willing enough, but human nature is weak.' Again, a second time, he went away and prayed: 'My Father,' he said, 'if this cup cannot pass by, but I must drink it, your will be done!' And he came back again and found them sleeping, their eyes were so heavy. Leaving them there, he went away again and prayed for the third time, repeating the same words. Then he came back to the disciples and said to them, 'You can sleep on now and have your rest. Look, the hour has come when the Son of man is to be betrayed into the hands of sinners. Get up! Let us go! Look, my betrayer is not far away.'

2. Jesus saw before Him all the sins of
    man-kind.
3. The deadly sins are
pride, greed, envy,
    anger, lust, gluttony, and sloth.

4. Many people let anger determine their actions,
putting anger as what is first in their life.
5. How can putting anger before God,
    retaliation not have anything but
    destructive consequences for oneself.
6. We are to discipline ourselves and not
    give into temptations.
From the Our Father… lead not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil.
    Amen.
7. We owe God thanksgiving.
In justice we are to make reparation
    to God for our sins.
    Sin offends God.

8. From the Priestly Newsletter Book II

Thoughts on the Eucharist

In his recent book, Gift and Mystery, Pope John Paul II speaks of the Eucharist and the priest: “In the Eucharist, the Son, who is of one being with the Father…offers himself in sacrifice to the Father for humanity and for all creation. In the Eucharist Christ gives back to the Father everything that has come from him. Thus there is brought about a profound mystery of justice on the part of the creature toward the Creator. Man needs to honor his Creator by offering to him, in an act of thanksgiving and praise, all that he has received. Man must never lose sight of the debt, which he alone, among all other earthly realities, is capable of acknowledging and paying back as the one creature made in God’s own image and likeness. At the same time, given his creaturely limitations and sinful condition, man would be incapable of making this act of justice toward the Creator, had not Christ himself, the Son who is of one being with the Father and also true man, first given us the Eucharist.

“The priesthood, in its deepest reality, is the priesthood of Christ. It is Christ who offers himself, his Body and Blood, in sacrifice to God the Father, and by this sacrifice makes righteous in the Father’s eyes all mankind and, indirectly, all creation. The priest, in his daily celebration of the Eucharist, goes to the very heart of this mystery. For this reason the celebration of the Eucharist must be the most important moment of the priest’s day, the center of his life.”4

4. Pope John Paul II, Gift and Mystery, Doubleday, pp. 74-75.

9. Jesus saw in the Garden all who would
strike out against Him for their own
anger inside rather than admitting their
sins and being sorry for sins, offending
    self and others.
10. Sin offends God. We are never to
disrespect God and treat God dishonorably.
God is to be honored, praised, respected
    and loved.

The Scourging at the Pillar

1.
Matthew 27: 24-26

Then Pilate saw that he was making no impression, that in fact a riot was imminent. So he took some water, washed his hands in front of the crowd and said, ‘I am innocent of this man’s blood. It is your concern.’ And the people, every one of them, shouted back, ‘Let his blood be on us and on our children!’ Then he released Barabbas for them. After having Jesus scourged he handed him over to be crucified.

2. Jesus paid the price for our sins.
Jesus was beaten to pay the price for
    our sins.
    Sin offends God!
3. God is to be honored and adored,
    thanked, obeyed, and loved.
4. God created us to be loving.
God created us in the image and likeness
    of God.
5. Being in the image and likeness of
God, means we are to love like Jesus,
more and more like Jesus, that is our
    goal.
6. God comes first, not anger, riches,
    pride, jealousy, lust…

7. Jesus stood in a puddle of His own
blood, from all the wounds how they
    whipped him.
8. Jesus paid the price for our sins.

9. Act of Contrition

"O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of Hell, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life. Amen."

10. Jesus paid the price for our sins!
His back was whipped by the anger
and hatred of the men that tore His
flesh. Jesus was a bloody mess.

The Crowning with Thorns

1.
Matthew 27: 27-31

Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus with them into the Praetorium and collected the whole cohort round him. And they stripped him and put a scarlet cloak round him, and having twisted some thorns into a crown they put this on his head and placed a reed in his right hand. To make fun of him they knelt to him saying, ‘Hail, king of the Jews!’ And they spat on him and took the reed and struck him on the head with it. And when they had finished making fun of him, they took off the cloak and dressed him in his own clothes and led him away to crucifixion.

2. God deserves reverence. God and
the Church are sacred and are to be
    respected. His Name treated reverently.
3. We were created to know, love and
serve God and thereby attain our
    eternal salvation.
4. What we do to others, we do to Jesus.
5. We are to worship God. God the
Father is the Creator, we are the
    creatures.

6. Sing: I Am a God of Justice

7. From The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius
    by Louis J. Puhl, S.J. p. 12

                 23. FIRST PRINCIPLE AND FOUNDATION

Man is created to praise, reverence and serve God
our Lord, and by this means to save his soul.

8. From The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius
    by Louis J. Puhl, S.J.
 p.11

     21.                  SPIRITUAL EXERCISES

Which have as their purpose the conquest of self
and the regulation of one's life in such a way that
no decision is made under the influence of any
    inordinate attachment

9. Sing: Take Lord Receive

10.
“Nothing is more practical than finding God, that is, than falling in a love in a quite absolute, final way. What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the mornings, what you will do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything.”  Pedro Arrupe

The Carrying of the Cross

1.
Mark 15: 15-23

So Pilate, anxious to placate the crowd, released Barabbas for them and, after having Jesus scourged, he handed him over to be crucified. The soldiers led him away to the inner part of the palace, that is, the Praetorium, and called the whole cohort together. They dressed him up in purple, twisted some thorns into a crown and put it on him. And they began saluting him, 'Hail, king of the Jews!' They struck his head with a reed and spat on him; and they went down on their knees to do him homage. And when they had finished making fun of him, they took off the purple and dressed him in his own clothes. They led him out to crucify him.

They enlisted a passer-by, Simon of Cyrene, father of Alexander and Rufus, who was coming in from the country, to carry his cross. They brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha, which means the place of the skull. They offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he refused it.

2. Think of the fourth commandment -
think of what we owe to just authority
    over us.
3. Jesus fell under the cross, Jesus fell 3
times for people who disrespect authority.
4. The commandments tell us we are to
respect the rights of others. Putting
    what is God’s first.
5. It is against the 5th commandment to
    cause spiritual ruin to others.
Thou shalt not kill, what about authority
hurting those under them with sins of
    very bad example.
6. Justice is a virtue, look at Jesus falling
under the cross, for the high and mighty
souls that do this bullying others in
    disrespect.
    Jesus paid the price.
7. God gives us the commandments to live
a healthy, virtuous life, in obedience to
    God and in love.
8. Justice is in 3 areas: Justice to God as
    our Creator, we are creatures.
Justice in our dealings with others.
Justice in respect of God delegated
    authority.
9. We are to be a “just” man.
10. We must have justice to have
happiness in the world, our relation-
ships. It is needed for social living.

The Crucifixion

1.
Matthew 27: 35-44

When they had finished crucifying him they shared out his clothing by casting lots, and then sat down and stayed there keeping guard over him.

Above his head was placed the charge against him; it read: ‘This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.’ Then two bandits were crucified with him, one on the right and one on the left.

The crucified Jesus is mocked

The passers–by jeered at him; they shook their heads and said, ‘So you would destroy the Temple and in three days rebuild it! Then save yourself if you are God’s son and come down from the cross!’ The chief priests with the scribes and elders mocked him in the same way, with the words, ‘He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the king of Israel; let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him. He has put his trust in God; now let God rescue him if he wants him. For he did say, "I am God’s son." ’ Even the bandits who were crucified with him taunted him in the same way.

2. Justice demands we respect others'
    property.
    Especially, God’s property.
We are never to damage others' property,
    especially God’s property.
3. We have a duty to stand behind our
    word, honor contracts.
4. Cheating can come from other things
    than cheating on money.
5. Structure is how things Godly are run.
Trying to fight with authority for power,
unauthorized power is a sin against justice.
6. Jesus paid the price for our sins on the
cross, to His death on the cross.
7. Jesus gave the last beat of His Heart and
the last drop of His Blood.

8. Sing: A Song from Jesus

9. It is wrong to use others for our power, etc.
10. We are to make restitution for our sins.
    Detachment can be needed to
    discipline oneself from temptation.

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Litugical Year (2011/2012)
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10
