Jesus speaks: I am your Savior, Son of the Living God. I come to you that you might have life, not as the world gives you life, but My life which is life eternal. I carved you from My special carving and made you little less than an angel. I love you and cherish all the moments when you, My special child, come to sit with Me. I wait here and I hope you will choose to come, but I never force you. Your will is totally free and I give it to you because of My love and the will of the Father. I inform you in numerous ways. You do not have to guess and wonder. Come be with Me in this silence and all you need to know will be told to you. Your life is unfolding as a beautiful rose. Each petal falls and you plant My odors about as I so desire. I make your life full and sure as you trust in Me. No need for worrying, My little flower. My ways give you freedom if you listen to your heart. I am a personal God and you know Me as giving you fullness and life. You know there is some magnetism to Me and the way you crave to be part of Me. This is the work of the one, true God Who created you with a thirst that can only be quenched by Me. All roads that lead to Me give you fullness, worth, peace and joy, not as the world thinks, but as you yourself know true peace and joy. When I really touch you, you do not remain the same. I shed My Blood for you that you will have the life only I can give. What friend in this world would die for you? You, My child, were worth My dying for. I came that you will have life eternal and the gift I give is My Precious Blood for your sins. Come to Me in trouble and when you are bowed down. Come to Me in joy. Come to Me every day that you live and I will give you all you need. Seek to know Me more and more. Knowledge of Me, being with Me, are the only way to perfect peace. They lead to eternal life.
I have a divine plan for you. I created you with special gifts and talents to be used to do My work. They are not for your own self-promotion. You, My child, are nothing except as I created you. Why try to promote yourself? It is none of your own doing. I gave you the talents you are using. You had nothing to do with it. These talents were given to you to do My work. To use these talents to make yourself feel better than your brother is indeed a sin. You must realize they are loaned to you to work for Me. As you give someone a car, or loan them a place to stay, I loan you your talents to use to work for Me. If you do not work for Me and use them to make yourself better than your brother, you are offending Me. Likewise, if I give you talents and you do not use them because you think you are not as good as your brother, you are not being thankful to Me for My gifts to you. You are not using My gifts and that offends Me greatly. Each person was created by Me to do My work. Each person has all he needs to do My work. To be envious of others is fruitless. They have their job. You have yours. You are not supposed to do their work. That is why you were not given their talents.
Do your own work. Don't be envious of your brothers. Don't hide your talents. You did not earn them. I gave you your talents. You must sing because I will it. Others must do as I will them to do. It displeases Me to give you a gift and watch you hide it and make light of it. I give the gift. You must use all your gifts. They were given to you to do My work. Your brother has his gifts. Be grateful for your brother and he should be for you. You are all chosen by Me for a special mission. You know what to do. It feels right. I plant little seeds in your heart and all you do that is for you in the end feels right. You are not to be doing your brother's work or he yours. Talk to Me that you might know just what your work is and do it.
Do not hide your talents. Praise your God Who gave you these talents. Embrace and use them. This is not pride. This is My plan. I love you. I give to each of you, My precious children, as a mother who buys special Christmas gifts for each child. To buy gifts all the same for all your children is not to respect their specialness, their individuality.
Oh, I love you, little ones, so much. Please come to Me. I am so good and I wait to be with you and share My love with you. Come now. This is your top priority. All else will work when you come to Me first. I love you. You are My chosen children. Come and be filled and I make your loads light and I fill you with the Spirit of Salvation.
All roads that lead to Me are the right roads. Praise Me for I am good and I love you, little dear ones.

were jailed on August 13, 1917 when
she was to appear.

Because of the excitement caused by the apparitions, the civil authorities were so alarmed that they kidnapped the three young visionaries and put them in jail. The incarceration period included the day of August 13. Consequently, Our Lady did not appear to the children on this particular 13th.
The authorities, fearing reaction on the part of the people, quickly released the children. Mary appeared to them on August 19 near Valinhos:
She told them she was greatly displeased by the action of the mayor. As a result, the miracle promised for October would not be as impressive as originally planned. (15)

Messenger: Well what is oneness?
What is God's will?
How will it be in the Reign of
the Sacred Heart?
Some people just want to be the one on
top, so they may try to sell you a horse
when you absolutely can't take
care of it and don't want or
need one.
It makes them feel so much satisfaction to
know they had power over the other
that they "won one".
Some people have to have control, just for
the sake of control.
Some people have to get power in one
situation when they loose it
somewhere else.
Some people don't give the other the
chance to develop because they
have to do it their way.
The bottom line is doing it according
to God's will for His honor and glory.
We should be docile and humble, doing
it for God.
Some people need an ulterior
motive to smile at somebody else,
they don't see their actions as
smiling for Jesus who is in the
other person, they want to get
some power or recognition for
themselves from a single act of
smiling at a baby.
This can be seen sometimes by
what some people may say of politicians.
They say some politicians have picked
up babies and given smiles for show.
What happened to authentically living in
the moment for the joy of doing, without
an ulterior motive, doing what
we do for service to Jesus and not
some service for ourselves to bring
us recognition, power or acceptance
for ourselves against God's will.
What we have to focus on is doing
God's will.
A mother with a new born baby
should spend the proper time with
the baby, not ignoring her baby
and furthering her own ambition
(against God's will).
Many people have spent their lives
ignoring their children. Now some say
that it is okay for a mother to kill
her unborn baby so she can do
exactly what she pleases to promote
her career.
I quote the 5th commandment:
"You shall not kill."
If we are ever going to live as we
are supposed to in the Reign of
the Sacred Heart, a lot of people will
have to quit focusing on what promotes
themselves individually and focus on
what is God's will for them.
Did you ever see a teeter-totter?
One person is up and one is down,
but they can work in great harmony.
What about people who never have
a problem and blame somebody else
when they have problems? How could
the scapegoat ever work in harmony
with the other. It isn't easy. The scapegoat
has a problem in the relationship.
Well we would have harmony if
everybody tried to work in harmony with
each other according to God's will for
them instead of trying to get ahead just
to be on the top.
God does put people in authority.
Fr. Carter always obeyed his superiors.
He respected them.

A mother and a father have a
responsibility to take care of
their children.

Why work against God's plan?
The Carpenter

Jesus speaks: You are he who goes to a carpenter to learn to make a cabinet. You know nothing. You do not have any idea of what you are to do. The carpenter knows exactly. He has a procedure whereby his plan will be accomplished. Every detail must be observed. He is the Master. You do not have the talent. You need talent to do woodwork. If you were given the talent and the directions, you could accomplish this task with such beauty.
I am the carpenter. You are he who needs to be taught. You lack the talent. You need the gifts of the Spirit to accomplish My task! You come to Me in total ignorance. You are open, the Spirit fills you with the gifts. You have everything you need to do My work. The Father created you to accomplish His tasks. You are perfect. You must come open. You must know the plan. The plan is His Will for you. If you do not follow the plan, the cabinet will not be built correctly.
I am the Master. I guide you. I love you. I give you all you need. I walk you through every move. If you try on your own, you have a problem. You know not the way to build cabinets. You know not the way to Me on your own. You must come to Me to be taught. To go it alone is to your own detriment.
Oh, little one, it is so simple. You, in your will, want to work your own plans. You know not how to do it. Only I can teach you what you need to know. Oh, please come to Me. I have all you need. The Spirit fills you with the gifts to know, love and serve God. To go it alone is like trying to build the cabinet with no knowledge of woodworking. Oh, little ones, I love you. Come to Me. Let Me teach you. The Will of the Father is the happiness for your life.
I am Jesus Christ, Son of God. I am God. I, God, long to be with you and teach you. Go not off on your own. Come to Me. I love you so!

Included here is an excerpt from the rosary received August 19, 1997. The next day August 20, 1997 Jesus appeared to me in the crucifix above the altar at St. Gertrudes church in Cincinnati. He appeared as the most glorious Jesus, adorned in the most brilliant light. Where He had appeared at the point of death December 5, 1996, He now appeared in the greatest brilliant light, as the glorified Jesus on the cross.

You will know My might and you will not be afraid, but you will not know this if you do not trust, for I have told you the secrets in My messages, but you do not read as if you believe, you read half heartedly. You must believe with all your heart that I speak to you to be heard, for you truly are the shepherds that will go across this earth and carry the white flag, but you do not have this conviction within your heart, so therefore you do not do all that I have asked you to do, your belief is wishy-washy and you do not believe with a conviction of a strong heart.
I am calling you My shepherds this night to renew your faith and your endurance to realize that I am God and I have spoken here to you this evening. I am alive, I am alive, I am alive and I am with you, I am your God.
You wanted the light all the time and the light was not in the plan of the Father. It comes in light and it comes in darkness, it comes in death and it comes in victory, it comes in death and it comes in Resurrection, it comes in pain, and it comes in joy, but this world tells you today to look for only the joy and when you do not find it to do everything that you can to fill your selfish pleasurish whims that you have within you.
I tell you that you must fall to your knees, that your knees will be scuffed and that you will suffer and your flesh will be torn and your head will be crowned with thorns, but you will come forth from the tomb with a veil of white across your face and you will say this is the victory that we have won because we have lived in Him.
Your Movement will spread forth to the far ends of the earth, but it is faith that I am calling you to My beloved ones, you must have faith in your hearts, for this is a sign that I give to you this day. If you do not believe, you will not be able to continue ahead, for you must move ahead in faith. It is the only way that you must operate. You cannot operate trying to logically think your way across this world. It is only in believing and obeying the messages that the job will get done. It is My might that will lead this Movement to the far corners of the earth. Open your pockets and let us see your money. Do you have the money to do the things that I have asked you to do? It is in prayer, hourly prayer and begging for the funds, realizing that it is in your prayer, that it is in your endurance, that it is in your faith and your sacrifices that your prayers will be answered. You must pray hourly the Novena to the Infant of Prague and I will answer your prayers, and you My beloved ones will know the results when you pray.
Jesus:
I have given to you the greatest gift this day. I am Jesus, and I have come to you and I have asked you to open wide your heart and to thank Me for the gift I have given, for if the answer would have been different how would your hearts be this night, and how was it with the lepers, when I gave to them the great gift and they did not come and say thanks, but you are My holy ones that I am sending into this world and your hearts must be filled with joy. I have asked you over and over again to sing to Me with a heart that is filled with joy. I have given to you songs that I wrote Myself for you to sing of the love of My Heart. I am Jesus, the Son of God and you are the apostles of this new era. As you go out into the dark night the light will shine behind you and many will know the light of My Heart. Do not be discouraged, for the very hairs of your head are numbered and I am with you at this very moment, guarding and watching you, give Me your heart My shepherds. Live in the Moment
Today’s Gospel in its story certainly points ahead to Jesus in His Passion and death. And as we read passages such as this during the Lenten season, we are reminded once again that the Church in her Liturgy of the Word gives us an opportunity to undergo a purification, an ever deepening cleansing of ourselves so that we may be a more fit instrument for receiving the great graces which are to be given to us at the time of the Resurrection memorial on Easter. And so all in all, Lent is a time of purification to prepare us for ever-greater gifts of the Lord. It’s a time of self-discipline, a time to renew our efforts to be self-disciplined in the service of the Lord. Self-discipline is an aspect of purification. And I suggest that one of the most difficult acts of self-discipline in the spiritual journey is to concentrate on the present moment. We have a very strong tendency to disregard the importance of the present moment by focusing in a wrong way on the past or in a wrong way on the future. There are proper occasions for thinking of the past and the future. For example, we have to learn from the past and we have to prepare for the future, but our great emphasis has to be upon the present. There is a Latin axiom which says, age quod agis, age quod agis, which means: do what you are doing, concentrate on the present. And of course we are familiar with that term in the history of spirituality: the sacrament of the present moment. And so the discipline of Lent certainly encourages us to include in a deeper self-discipline a greater determination to get as much as we can out of the present moment. People with a terminal illness have an opportunity as they prepare for death for increased prayer, contrition, love of God. However, some are taken very, very quickly. But for those who have the opportunity of knowing with some certainty the time of their death, I’m sure as they look back on their lives, they are saddened by the many times they did not use time and opportunities for the service of the Lord properly, and are overjoyed at those times in which they did use the present opportunity properly. A great means we have of living in the present properly is a greater focus upon our Lord. For if I have that awareness of the fact I am united with Jesus here and now, why should I be concerned so much about the future or the past? Yes, a great help in living in the present and deriving all the good we can from it for ourselves and others is an ever greater focus upon Jesus, because the more I focus upon Jesus and the more I live with Him in the present moment, the more I am satisfied with the present moment. And so let us in our Lenten activity resolve to grow in that self-discipline - which is very difficult at times - to really live in the presence with the fullness of our being as much as is possible, with the help of God’s grace. Now is the day of salvation. Now is the day of salvation.

October 17, 1993
I come and you open the doors of your heart. I enter and you are made whole. Your hungry soul thirsts for only that which I can give. Open the gates. Let Me enter and wash you with My Blood. My Blood is the Blood of salvation. Nothing in this world can compare to My Blood. It is there for you, it cleans you, it feeds you. It is your all. Come and be nourished by Me. I have all you need.
Your time is not your time. I loan it to you. I loan you your time to do My work. This is your day, but it is My day to work in you. You are doing as you ought. You feel tired and worn out and you wonder why. My work is work. It is not a puffy little job. It is a big job. It is the most important thing you do. You keep doing My work and then wonder why you are exhausted. My work is hard. It is struggling up a hill in a world that has lost its way. People are closed. The world is pulling you everyplace but to Me and then you wonder why the exhaustion. You pray many hours a day and talk many more trying to sell My wares. It is hard work. People reject you. They are closed. They are not of Me. They are all busy with their stupid earthly lives. I sit and watch and they are so blind. What good does it do a man to run down a road if it is the wrong one. Hold tight, My little flower. You are doing My work and it is tedious. It is hard work. It is the best work to do. Do not wear yourself out talking on the phone. Plant My seeds and be on your way. Others must do their own seeking of Me. You only lead them to the water. You do not have to stand around and see if they will drink or not and prompt them to do so. They must read My messages and come to Me for their feeding.
You do not feed your brothers all their food. You plant the seeds. They come to Me and they are fed by Me. Hold tight to all you are doing. It is hard, hard work. I am giving you strength. Each day is a day's work, indeed. No one but I knows how much work you do in a day. You have touched a lot of hearts in one day. Be glad as each day unfolds. Be glad I am using you as My instrument to reach many. Know that this is work. You should be tired at the end of the day. I am your God and I love you, My little one. I play the organ at Mass with you. I love the music. I love people to sing. It is of great comfort to Me and My mother for all the singing. Keep singing and playing. It is so soothing to our hurt hearts. I love to hear My children sing. I love you all so much!
Keep spreading My word and doing My work. You feel tired because it is indeed work, but I will supply you with extra energy and blessings for all you do. I need you to do this work for Me. You always bounce back and go full steam ahead. That is Me! All of a sudden you are refreshed and wonder what happened. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, but I have all the power. The very hairs of your head are numbered. I give you strength when you are doing My work. Oh, how I love you. I am pleased with your work. Your weariness is worth it. I will give you a bath in My love and you will go and feel like flying. I am your love, little, one. Thank you.

Dear Rita,
I just had to write to you, to tell you that you make me cry every morning. I say my rosary every day and then I read a paragraph a day in your book.
First of all my daughter-in-law gave me your first volume of "God's Blue Book Teachings to Lift You Up" for Christmas that's when I started to cry. Your words are so true to life at least for me. You see I'm seventy-five years old, so I do have an awful lot in my past, that your book talks about me. And I have four daughters they are good girls, but they should read your books too.
Today I'm reading your Volume 2 an excellent book I'm on page 24 Jesus Will Handle This One.
I just had to write to you and say I wish I could meet you in person, you must be very special to write these books, because in my heart, when I read them I feel good and I do tell my daughters about them.

Thank you very much for the copy of 'Shepherds of Christ' which I received recently. I haven't yet been through the whole book, but what we have read of it here seems very good indeed.
Your work for priests is very important. It is one of themain concerns of our ______ Jesuit Province. Just now, at our Pastoral Centre across the road from my residence, the diocesan priests of _______ Diocese are having a retreat, attended by the Bishop and all but three of his priests. This retreat, by the way, is being given by a team of four lay people who give their time to this ministry in several parts of India. Besides our training of our own Jesuits, we run the minor seminary for the Bishop of _______ and one of our priests looks after the monthly recollections and other spiritual needs of his seminarians doing practical training in parishes and schools. Some of our priests offer the 30 day spiritual exercises to the seminarians of _______ who are preparing for theological studies. So you can see that you and we are much concerned about the same important ministry.

I am a fidei-donum priest assigned to the above parish in Botswana. During our just ended diocesan priests' retreat in _______, our retreat master, Bishop ______ distributed to us copies of the book entitled "Shepherds of Christ spirituality 2 Newsletters", by Fr. Edward Carter SJ. Enclosed was your addressed envelope. This immediately reminded me of the contact I had with you, through a Rev. Sister, about five years ago when I was following my course of study in ______. I wanted to establish the Shepherds of Christ ministry at home in ______, but soon after my return home I was sent on mission here in Botswana. due to travel restrictions, I could not bring many things with me here, including the documents of the Shepherds of Christ ministry. However, I would like to start one here in this parish.
I would therefore be pleased if you could send me some of the necessary documents to enable me establish the ministry here. Moreover, I would be very grateful if you could send me some rosaries, of different kinds and other devotional articles, if available, for distribution in order to promote the devotion to our mother Mary and the rosary.

I am Sr. _____ belonging to ______ in India. I did my schooling under the care of _____ Sisters. I was inspired by their way of life and thereby I decided to become a sister. After my schooling. I joined them and made my profession on 10th April 1999. Being a nun from the locality, I find it easy to interact with my own people and therefore I could impart the gospel values and God's love to them easily. ____ is a land which is situated in the ______ part of India. It is a beautiful land where we find different tribesliving together with its varied cultures and languages. If you have any chance of coming to India, please make it a point to visit us. Well, after having read 'Shepherds of Christ' from a companion sister of mine, I was very much enlightened. I began to make my meditation based on the 'Shepherds of Christ'. It helped me a lot. Therefore, I will be glad if you can send the compiled form of the free gift copy of the 'Shepherds of Christ', at least 10 copies, so that I can have a copy of my own and also share with others who too might benefit from the book.

Thank you for sending me 'the little Red book'. I would also like to start prayer chapters for priests also. At this time of sinful disturbance all priests and indeed bishops need the help of God. It is a very noble thing to pray for priests. However, remember that Charity begins at home so do not forget the priests of the United States.
Please also pray in a particular way for the bishops you contact. I will, of course, pray for you.

Glad to hear from you that 'The Shepherds of Christ Ministries' is a beautiful movement, dedicated to the renewal of the spiritual life in the world.
Excellent indeed that this movement has prayer chapters, praying all over the world, from the little red book sent to me by you. The litanies given in this good book are said everyday, in all our families, since many years, after the daily "family rosary" and the consecration prayer to the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. The prayer to St. Joseph is very special for us.
Happy that you will send to us 25 books, to be distributed to our priests in this big Diocese with over 200 priests.
The Feast of Assumption is very special for us, with solemn Holy Mass, holy hour, common rosary and Marian prayers. All these graceful functions of 15th August, will be gratefully offered for you.
