August 26th Holy Spirit Novena Scripture selection is Day 3 Period I.

The Novena Rosary Mysteries  for August 26th are Joyful.

Pray for Bob & other intentions.
 

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. Let the waters wash us
and bring us new life.
Life is in Him.
Jesus is our Savior.

made heaven and earth.
For when we are weak, we

Psalm 97: 1-6

The Lord is king, let earth rejoice, let all the coastlands be glad.
Cloud in darkness are his raiment; his throne, justice, and bright.

A fire prepares his path; it burns up his foes on every side.
His lightnings light up the world, the earth trembles at the sight.

The mountains melt like wax before the Lord of all the earth.
The skies proclaim his justice; all peoples see his glory.

 

 

R. God made the heavens and
the earth.

The sky is clothed in beauty
for us to gaze upon and
reflect God and His creation.

Do not miss the opportunity
to reflect on His wonders.

Oh God we seek to know
You ever more deeply.
Your wonders are beyond
our comprehension here
below.
Let us bow before You,
bend low and serve You, our
heavenly King.
We worship, adore and love
You so much, our God.

 

R. Let your radiant light, shine
on our path, that we may
know Your power and Your
might.
Amen. Alleluia.!!

Be not afraid, God protects
the man who turns to Him
and walks in His light.
May eternal salvation be
ours forever in heaven. We
have walked in His ways,
not perfectly, but as men
deeply rooted in His ways
for us.
We seek the reward
promised to those who love
and serve the Lord, when
He comes to take us home.
For we humbly tried to love
and serve Him.
He is truly our God.
Amen.
 

 
R. Jesus help me, I adore and
worship You.
Come to my aid, my beloved
Lord.
Spread Your blood, cast the
devil away. Dear Holy Spirit,
Lord of Light, You are my
God, come as a breath, that
my ears may hear your
breathe, my eyes know your
light and my heart have the
presence of the fire of Your
love.

I long for the peace and
warmth of Your heavenly
embrace.

Oh God: Father, Son and
Holy Spirit, I love You so, so
much.

God has a Plan and it is that
which we are to seek.
Remember when Peter tried
to tell Jesus He should not
go ahead because of trials.
And Jesus told him, Satan
get behind you.
We must listen to God and
pray for His will, Satan may
send others to misdirect us.
We seek God's will in all
things and the courage to
do His will.
Fr. Carter always said Mary
did the Father's will if He
asks her to carry a pebble or
a boulder.

Dear God, We seek Your
will in all things and the
courage to do Your will in all
things.

We love You with all our
heart, all our soul and our
whole being.
God please help us today.
Father, in the name of
Jesus, we unite to the Mass
and offer up all we do today,
in the Holy Spirit, through
the intercession of the
Virgin Mary with the angels
and saints and souls in
purgatory.
Amen.

We are Your servants, Lord,
please give us the grace we
need most today, to serve You.
Defend us in battle against
the evil one.

Glorious Mysteries

The Resurrection

1. Luke 24: 1-12

On the first day of the week, at the first sign of dawn, they went to the tomb with the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb, but on entering they could not find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled about this, two men in brilliant clothes suddenly appeared at their side. Terrified, the women bowed their heads to the ground. But the two said to them, ‘Why look among the dead for someone who is alive? He is not here; he has risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee: that the Son of man was destined to be handed over into the power of sinful men and be crucified, and rise again on the third day.’ And they remembered his words.

And they returned from the tomb and told all this to the Eleven and to all the others. The women were Mary of Magdala, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. And the other women with them also told the apostles, but this story of theirs seemed pure nonsense, and they did not believe them.

Peter, however, went off to the tomb, running. He bent down and looked in and saw the linen cloths but nothing else; he then went back home, amazed at what had happened.

2. Whatever you do, do it
    for the glory of God.

4. In Baptism we receive a
    sharing in God’s life.
5. We receive in baptism,
    the supernatural virtues of
    faith, hope and love.
6. In baptism our knowing
    and loving capacity is
    elevated.
7. Oh, we were created in
    the image and likeness of
    God.
8. If God asks us to do
    something, he gives us the
    grace to do it.

9. Matthew 12: 46-50

He was still speaking to the crowds when suddenly his mother and his brothers were standing outside and were anxious to have a word with him. But to the man who told him this Jesus replied, ‘Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?’ And stretching out his hand towards his disciples he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.’

10. A city set on a mountain,
    can’t be hidden.
    Be a Light for Jesus.
 

The Ascension

1. Acts 1: 6-9

Now having met together, they asked him, 'Lord, has the time come for you to restore the kingdom to Israel?' He replied, 'It is not for you to know times or dates that the Father has decided by his own authority, but you will receive the power of the Holy Spirit which will come on you, and then you will be my witnesses not only in Jerusalem but throughout Judaea and Samaria, and indeed to earth's remotest end.'

As he said this he was lifted up while they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight.

2. Faith - a new power of
    knowing, viewing God, and
    everything in relation to
    God.
3. Hope - the desire to live
    out the vision of faith.
4. Hope - hope for one’s own
    salvation and the salvation
    of our brothers.
5. Love - love is giving for the
    good of the other.
    We live the vision of faith.
6. Pray for a greater
    realization how God loves
    us in Christ.
7. God loved us first.
8. Response to God’s Love
    (title of Fr. Carter’s book.)
9. We respond in loving and
    friendship, and marriage
    and family.
10. In baptism our loving
    and knowing capacity is
    elevated.
 

The Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles, and the Blessed Virgin Mary

1. Acts 2: 1-4

When Pentecost day came round, they had all met together, when suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a violent wind which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues as of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak different languages as the Spirit gave them power to express themselves.
