Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.
August 9, 2018
R. Jesus came and taught and healed –
Jesus is real –
He really loves us so much –
Mark tells us to preach the Gospel to
the world.
Jesus came to deliver the Gospel message.
Fr. Joe Robinson's books teach the Gospel
message – They go to almost 40,000
priests and hierarchy yearly –
Jesus is the way
Jesus is the truth
Jesus is the life.
Life is in Jesus –
John the Baptist tells us in Advent
to PREPARE
We are here to prepare – we are loved
so much by God and He wants us in
heaven with us –
John 3: 16
For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
may not perish
but may have eternal life.
R.
In the Liturgy a lot of the Gospels in
Cycle A come from Matthew –
a lot of Cycle B comes from Mark –
a lot of Cycle C comes from Luke –
Mary is the most perfect handmaid
of the Lord –
The Holy Spirit filled her and she said
the Magnificat –
She tells us –
My soul magnifies the Lord –
A handmaid lives for the Lord –
This is the title God gave Fr. Carter –
Handmaids of the Good Shepherd
Servants of the Good Shepherd
Mary said "yes"
I say the Joyful mysteries of the
rosary almost daily –
Last night Mary appeared
in such magnificent light –
I love to meditate on Mary's "yes"
and what it means to us.
It makes my heart burn –
We are to live our lives like Mary
doing the will of the heavenly Father.
When we love another we want to
give them what they need
in God's plan –
Love gives for the sake of the other –
Love goes out –
Love is motivated and moves
by God dwelling in a soul
and operating in them –
This is the fire of God's love
in us – giving love as
He possesses our soul –
Prayer for Union with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.
R. We begin our preparation of life
eternally with God in heaven
when we surrender ourselves
body, mind and soul to God.
We co-operate with God in the
plan – the magnificent plan
for why God created us –
God created us in His image and
likeness
God created us to be more and more
transformed in Him –
Preparation for our heavenly
reward –
John the Baptist said we must
"Convert"
Mary at Fatima said we must
go through "conversion"
Mary was humble
Humility is truth –
We embrace the truths about
our imperfections and we want
to be like Jesus and Mary –
Mary said "My soul magnifies the Lord"
Perfect handmaid of Jesus –
Living to be like Jesus –
Wanting Jesus to possess our soul –
Giving ourselves to God is freedom –
A handmaid is a servant –
What better thing to do, but to commit
ourselves to serving Jesus who
is the eternal King of heaven
and earth –
Mary shows us service –
She loved the will of God –
She co-operated with God in
His eternal plan –
Eve did her own will –
Eve opposed God –
Eve was thrown out of the Garden of Paradise
Mary the New Eve
Was taken body and soul to heaven –
the Assumption –
Jesus was taken to heaven –
the Ascension –
Those saying Vespers say the
Magnificat every day –
Jesus told the Handmaids of the Good Shepherd
to say the Magnificat daily –
The Scripture and the Eucharist are
the Bread of Life –
God gives us a sharing in His life
in Baptism and it must be fed.
Jesus came Savior of the World –
Song: A Song from Jesus
R. Mary was carrying Jesus –
Mary was not selfish –
Mary shows us her giving
when she went to Elizabeth –
In all our visits we should have
God with us when we meet
with other –
meet with others at meals –
meet with others at Mass –
meet with other to Pray –
God shows us –
Jesus ate with sinners –
Jesus ate with many –
Jesus healed the sick –
Jesus cast out demons –
Jesus taught –
Jesus shows us when we
meet with others
there is to be love and
unity –
Co-operation
Friendship –
Jesus and Mary showed us love and
friendship – we meditate
on this in the rosary –
in the Mysteries of Their lives –
Mary is Mother of all –
She is so humble –
Humility is truth –
Mary shows us service when she
goes to Elizabeth –
Her whole life was giving
God what He wanted
IN service –
Mark 10: 43-45
Among you this is not to happen. No; anyone who wants to become great among you must be your servant, and anyone who wants to be first among you must be slave to all. For the Son of man himself came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.'
R. Jeremiah served God –
He did what he did in truth –
The King wanted the false prophet
to do what he wanted –
say what he wanted to hear –
Jeremiah was sent by God to
tell the King what was
going to happen – so the
King tortured Jeremiah –
When God was speaking
through Jeremiah to the King –
It was a blessing from God –
Instead the King would not listen –
He caused the Babylonian
exile – The King's sons were killed
before his own eyes – then his
eyes were gauged out –
So many suffered 50 years –
terrible – because the King
did what he wanted –
and opposed God –
Isn't this a similar story
all through salvation history –
Moses and how the Pharaoh had
10 plagues and disobeyed God –
then they went into the Red Sea –
How are our visits with those
God called us to work with –
Are they like Mary, perfect
handmaid of the Lord and
Elizabeth –
Are they for the honor and glory
of serving God and
co-operating with God's plan –
Elizabeth was filled with the
Holy Spirit – She had a prophetic
gift – she knew Mary
was the Mother of God –
Mary and Elizabeth were full
of joy.
Luke is Cycle C – he is the Gospel of joy –
Jesus told us to repent of our sins –
He offers forgiveness and mercy
if we ask Him and want to
have a firm purpose of
amendment and
not sin like that again –
God gives us the fig tree parable –
He gives us so much time
to do the right thing in
our lives – then it will
be over –
We have a free will – to obey
God's commandment of
love,
but then our life will be
over
How did we use it –
TO OBEY or
TO OPPOSE GOD –
Jesus came and taught us what
is right in the Gospels –
it's not a surprise –
We can close our eyes and
ears and do evil and
reject God with our
free will –
Song: Why Do We Hurt the Ones We Love
R. Jeremiah warned them
Why would a person want affirmation
from God when they are disobedient
to God –
John the Baptist speaks truth with power –
Repent –
We can have an attitude that
is immoral –
It's what's inside – not how we
lie to look good on the outside –
Jeremiah was threatened with death –
Jesus was threatened with death –
The devil wants to destroy the one
doing God's will –
so he enlists people in
pride and jealousy and envy
and slothfulness –
putting themselves first
to lie and turn away from
God's teachings and
commandments –
Abel was innocent –
Cain killed him –
Even when God warned –
the devil is lurking at your
door –
We have a free will –
Christ was crucified for those
sins of hatred and disobedience
against our brothers
John the Baptist shows us by his
example he served God –
We see Jesus dead on the cross
hanging against the dark
sky – I saw a vision in
China behind the mural.
R.
the dark got blacker on one side
the other side – was so much
light
Jesus hangs on the cross on our
rosaries – in our Churches –
how can we ignore such
a horrible torture of Jesus
for hateful sins and lies –
Jesus is the Lamb that was
slain that lives forever –
Violence, injustice, oppression of
evil men and Jesus paid for
our sins and transgressions in love –
Jesus was the innocent Lamb
led to the slaughter –
God called us to contribute to
the coming of the Kingdom of God,
God wants this Era of Peace
and love and justice
We pray for the victims of people
bringing violence and terror
down on innocent men all
over the world –
in homes – organizations –
because the guilty refuse doing
the good God calls them to and
to repent –
God wants us to ask for cleaning,
for forgiveness
God is Kind and Merciful –
God called Moses to lead God's
people from slavery to freedom –
God is always trying to set
the captives free –
but they can't love violence –
they can't love lies –
they can't love anger –
they can't love abuse
When we lose faith we don't
move ahead – the unfaithful
to God are lost in the desert –
like men with Moses when he
tried to lead them –
They lost faith and gave in
to their evils and pride,
anger and hatred –
Even after all God showed them
in signs and freed them from
slavery – they lost faith –
They fought Moses –
Mary was conceived without sin –
Jesus called Servants and Handmaids
of the Good Shepherd to be
the bride of Jesus and
to follow in Mary's purity
and humility as perfect
handmaid of Jesus –
Mary always said "yes" to God –
Mary always did the will of God –
Mary teaches us to love the will
of God and serve Him –
Mary teaches us about obedience
to authority designated by God.
As mother she teaches us about
the 4th Commandment
as children of the Heavenly Father.
Mary teaches us about her heart of
deepest love of God –
putting God above everything –
Mary is the perfect handmaid of God.
Mary wanted nothing, but to serve
Jesus – to serve the Father
and the Holy Spirit –
Mary's Heart is IMMACULATE –
without sin!!
God has all the power –
The devil wants people to give
them their power in hate
and anger –
The devil wants people to disobey
God and do what they want –
Glory to God in the Highest –
The Father prepared Mary –
Mary was sinless –
R.
Mary prays with us –
Mary intercedes with us to God
to help build His Kingdom.
But Yahweh God called to the man. 'Where are you?' he asked. 'I heard the sound of you in the garden,' he replied. 'I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.' 'Who told you that you were naked?' he asked. 'Have you been eating from the tree I forbade you to eat?' The man replied, 'It was the woman you put with me; she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.' Then Yahweh God said to the woman, 'Why did you do that?' The woman replied, 'The snake tempted me and I ate.'
Then Yahweh God said to the snake, 'Because you have done this,
Accursed be you
of all animals wild and tame!
On your belly you will go
and on dust you will feed
as long as you live.
I shall put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
it will bruise your head
and you will strike its heel.'The man named his wife 'Eve' because she was the mother of all those who live.
R. Thank You God for Mary –
The devil tempted Eve, and Adam and Eve
was thrown out of the Garden of Paradise
because they disobeyed God –
Luke 1: 46-55
And Mary said:
My soul proclaims
the greatness of the Lord
and my spirit rejoices
in God my Saviour;
because he has looked upon
the humiliation of his servant.
Yes, from now onwards
all generations will call me blessed,
for the Almighty
has done great things for me.
Holy is his name,
and his faithful love extends age after age
to those who fear him.
He has used the power of his arm,
he has routed the arrogant of heart.
He has pulled down princes
from their thrones
and raised high the lowly.
He has filled the starving with good things,
sent the rich away empty.
He has come to the help
of Israel his servant,
mindful of his faithful love
—according to the promise
he made to our ancestors—
of his mercy to Abraham
and to his descendants for ever.
R. Holy is God's name –
All honor and glory is God's
Jesus: I call you to sing to Me and
to worship Me and love Me –
the devil is hate –
the devil comes so men are
prideful and disobey God.
R. What is important is not what men
think, but what we do before God.
God is watching everything we do.
We are to do God's will with a loving
heart – giving God what
He wants willingly –
Luke 1: 26-38
In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. He went in and said to her, ‘Rejoice, you who enjoy God’s favour! The Lord is with you.’ She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, but the angel said to her, ‘Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favour. Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.’ Mary said to the angel, ‘But how can this come about, since I have no knowledge of man?’ The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.’ Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’ And the angel left her.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Sing: Hail Mary Gentle Woman
R. God has all the power –
NOBODY has power over God
From the very instant of Mary's
conception in her mother
she was always without sin.
Our first parents lived in a Paradise –
they came into the world without sin.
They were jealous of God –
envious of God because
God told them they could not eat
of the tree –
Some today are envious of God –
they want NOBODY telling them
what to do –
How well a person obeys authority
can show how they refuse
to obey God's commandments
and put God first –
They can live their whole life –
living to be over God and
disobedient –
This is an eye-opener when a
person refuses to obey
anyone and isolates themselves
to be in control lying and
punishing, sinning to
never be told what to do –
Adam and Eve – disobeyed God –
they wanted POWER –
With their sin – sin entered
the world –
We were born into a sinful
race because Adam and
Eve sinned –
They wanted power –
Any time God asked Mary for
anything she said "yes"
perfect co-operation with God's will –
perfect obedience –
MARY SAID
"I AM THE
HANDMAID OF
THE LORD"
In baptism we were filled with
God's life in us and we follow
Mary's "yes" to God or we
can say "no" to God like
Adam and Eve –
Mary is our Queen –
Queen of heaven and earth –
Mary is our model
Hail Mary pray for us –
Mary is Queen of our hearts –
Mary we love you –
Mary, Holy Virgin, pray for us.
Tower of David, pray for us –
Mary Queen of our hearts –
help us, pray for us –
Jesus and Mary pray for us –
Queen of Peace, pray for us –
We love you so much Mary –
Thanks for being our Mother –
God is all holy –
the font of all holiness –
R. Jesus teaches us about giving –
Jesus gives us Himself –
His Body and Blood so we
can be transformed
God is love
We are to grow in the interior
life of grace
Jesus gives us Himself
Jesus loves us so much –
Jesus teaches us about love
and purity, about giving
and kindness –
Jesus teaches us about this
light –
Jesus shows us how He lived
in a family with Mary and
Joseph even though He is God.
Jesus shows us how He taught
12 Apostles to carry on –
Jesus walked with others –
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
R.
Our Father loves us – we are
His little child –
God gives us a sharing in
His life and feeds us –
Grant us peace God –
Help us to be free from sin –
Peace be with you –
Lamb of God
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace.
R. God loves us so much –
God is all merciful –
God commands us to be loving
God commands us to witness
to His love –
Christ living IN US.
Jesus: I am the vine –
You are the branches –
Sin brings you guilt and shame –
Sin brings darkness
R. We can reflect on Mary's Motherly
love for us –
How does God want this day
to be lived?
How does God want me to
live every day of this
year –
When the politics of trying to
block out evil is all
that's on the plate –
What will fill our hearts
and souls –
Keep God first on your plate –
God's will – loving God and others –
Being humble under God –
Jesus: The person finding a place
to be entirely WILLFUL
against God – has
found darkness and
a pit –
All through salvation history
man has been unfaithful
to God –
God took them out of slavery
in Egypt and they fought
Moses
R. Oh my God –
How have we wearied You –
How have I let you down?
Jesus: What I ask for is simple –
You don't have to sacrifice
Your children – God's ways
are not that demanding –
You want more signs –
You ignore the signs I send you –
You are WILLFUL and
UNFAITHFUL –
The people responded to Jonah and
those people were hard –
R. We ask God to help us to be
open to God's marriage of love –
We hear His words and respond and
don't cave in and oppose
His will – HARD HEARTS –
God asks for justice, obedience,
love – living according
to God's will –
Prayer for Union with Jesus

A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul
Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

Guiding Light — The Word Alive in Our Hearts. — Cycle B for 2017/2018 $10.00 |
Guiding Light — The Soul Who Could. — Cycle A for 2016/2017 $10.00 |

|
Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15 |

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD. — Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10 |
