Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. God teaches us about being a servant.

God the Almighty came and lived and served us.

He was Almighty.
Why do we think we shouldn’t have to help anyone else because they are not as quick as us, handicapped etc.

Jesus was the suffering servant.

God shows us how He died for our sins.

Bless the Lord.
What matters is we do what we are supposed to.

Look at the miracles Jesus performed.
Look at the dividing of the Red Sea.
Look at the rising of the dead, Lazarus, Jarius' daughter.

God created all things from nothing.

Can we even hold a candle to God's Might and yet He loves us.

No one can do what God can do.
And yet He bothers with us and loves us and He came and took on flesh and died for our sins.

Man can try to capture and hurt the body, but he cannot destroy the soul.

We see the martyrs, they served God.

Excerpt from Response in Christ by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

e) Relationship with Members of the Church

There is but one true Church of Christ. Yet this one Church has three different states of existence. There is the pilgrim Church, the Church of this world, composed of members who have received the grace of Christ and strive for its development. They have not yet obtained the goal of their efforts, as have the members of the heavenly Church, who enjoy God in eternal happiness. The Church suffering is an intermediate state of existence necessary for those who had not achieved the required purification as members of the pilgrim Church. Although there are these three phases of the Church’s existence, there is a profound union existing between all the members. All these members possess the same basic life of grace in Christ, and this common life establishes the most intimate bonds of love. In our preceding chapter, we discussed the pilgrim Church. Let us now consider the Church suffering and the heavenly Church.

The members of the Church suffering are those who have departed from this life in an incomplete state of Christian development. Their development is incomplete in the sense that grace has not fully taken possession of them, and, as a result, they are yet closed in upon themselves to a greater or lesser degree. They as yet cannot open themselves out in complete love to the Triune God in the beatific vision. They must undergo a further purification, a purification which could have been achieved upon earth with merit. Now the purification must be achieved with no merit attached. The pain of this purification is mixed with the certain expectation of achieving the vision of God. We can hasten the advent of this vision for this people by the offering of prayers and other good works. Scripture itself refers to our action on behalf of those in purgatory in Chapter 12 of the Second Book of Maccabees beginning with verse 38.

The members of the heavenly Church are those in whom the life of grace has taken full possession and has reached its completion in the life of glory. Faith now is unnecessary, as the light of glory gives the human intellect a new strength and capacity for seeing God face-to-face. While the Christian was a wayfarer, he received the imprint of the indwelling Trinity as he shared in God’s own life. Now in heaven that grace-life and possession of God reaches its completion—the absolute completion is not achieved, however, until the resurrection of the body. The divine persons give Themselves to the beatified in a profound union far surpassing that of the indwelling of the Trinity experienced here below.

This life of heaven is still the Christ-life, for just as we possess a share in Trinitarian life here below as mediated by Christ, and exercise this grace-life as structured by Him, so also in heaven is the mediation of Christ present. In the words of Rahner, "One always sees the Father through Jesus. Just as immediately as this, for the directness of the vision of God is not a denial of the mediatorship of Christ as man."14 And not only does the humanity of Christ unite the blessed to God, but also, in some way, to the whole of creation. This is merely a completion of what is begun here below, namely, the union with Christ in His humanity establishing the Christian in a special relationship with God, with other men, and with the whole of creation. We have a glimpse, therefore, of the fullness of life which members of the heavenly Church possess.

The heavenly Church, as St. Thomas says, is the true Church.15 The Church of this earth and the Church of purgatory are, each in its own way, reaching out in loving hope for the heavenly Jerusalem. Vatican II puts it very simply: "The Church, to which we are called in Christ Jesus, and in which we acquire sanctity through the grace of God, will attain her full perfection only in the glory of heaven."16

The members of the heavenly Church can help us in living our life of grace until we too share its fullness with them. Their power of intercession on our behalf is but another ramification of the communal aspect of Christianity. We are meant to help others grow in Christ. We, in turn, are intended by God to receive aid from others—yes, from members of the heavenly Church, as well as from those with whom we dwell here below.

Not only can we be aided by the saints’ intercession, but the example of the canonized saints can also be of great value to us. They have concretely proved that full holiness is possible. Such an inspiration is of real worth when we are tempted to think that Christian sanctity in its higher degrees is impossible of attainment. Moreover, the canonized saints, in their diversity, teach us that there are many authentic versions of Christian holiness. They can be innovators in showing us that there are numerous possibilities in assimilating the mystery of Christ, although the basic assimilation remains the same for all Christians of all times. In the opinion of Rahner this is one of the chief roles the canonized saints exert in the life of the Church.17

R. We are the Church Militant.
We are soldiers fighting for Christ.
Mary is our Queen.

We fight for His truth.

We are under God.
We are to help in the building of the Kingdom of God.
We are to live according to God's will in love.

We are one in Jesus.

Cling to Me

May 13, 1993

Jesus: My dear child, if you stay close to Me, then I live in you and you live in Me. I am He Who created you and I love you with such an intensity that you will never know. My words are your truth. You must abide in My heart in all things. There is no room for doubt. My ways are steadfast, direct, and without error.

You must stay rooted in Me to ward off the power of the evil one. His grip is paralyzing and crippling. His power is stronger every day.

When you live in Me, I am in your heart and he has no power over Me. I am your God. I am your true lover. I want to protect you. I want to guard you from this force. Stay rooted firmly in Me and he will have no power.

I am He Who comforts you. My hand is upon you. Hold tight to Me, My child. My eyes are fixed right on you. You are My most precious child. I love you as no other can. My arms are about you. My tenderness surrounds you. My love is in your heart. You go not alone. I walk with you.

I share every aspect of your life with you. Cling to Me, feel My presence. It is warm and secure within your chest. There is no room for fear, for I cast out fear and bring you comfort and joy. end of excerpt

R.
The cross leads to new life.
Jesus showed us Death / Resurrection

Jesus came and took flesh.
Jesus was conceived in the womb of Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is the Son of God.
Jesus is priest, prophet and king.

Men must die to self and rise in Jesus.
We are under God.
We are meant to be servants for Him.
We pray in Shepherds of Christ for the Reign of Jesus' Sacred Heart and the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart.

R. God spoke to John, the Apostle, and Paul in prison.
God communicates to us through souls He chooses.
God communicates to us in our hearts.

God is calling us to be servants to help build His Kingdom.
Many martyrs suffered for Christ.
God can ask us to take time and help others.
God calls us to see ourselves as His servants and under Him.

Jesus is our King.

Freedom is found in serving God.

We can be slaves in our heart to pride, jealousy, envy - we can carry our chains and make our lives hard, blaming others for what is wrong in us.

We must ask God to help us die to our dysfunction so we can be free to be united deeply to God.

We are here to lead others to God.

We can have chains, we are responsible in our hearts, by what we choose to think, to act, to be faithful to in our lives.

Walk in the light, walk with Jesus, live the life of resurrection in our lives.
Live in Jesus.

His wounds were wounds filled with His precious Blood, Jesus suffered for our salvation, for our sins.

Look men, fight the pride that keeps you bound. The deadly sins, as habits, can bind the soul.
Seek virtue above all else.
Pray for the grace we need most and live to be all He calls us to.

Eternal life lasts forever.

John 17: 20-23

I pray not only for these
but also for those
who through their teaching
will come to believe in me.
May they all be one,
just as, Father, you are in me
   and I am in you,
so that they also may be in us,
so that the world may believe
it was you who sent me.
I have given them the glory
   you gave to me,
that they may be one as we are one.
With me in them and you in me,
may they be so perfected in unity
that the world will recognise
that it was you who sent me
and that you have loved them
as you have loved me.

R. There was so much water, and fishing, when Jesus was in His public life.
There was water in the lives of the Apostles, in the life of Paul.
Clearwater – Clear-Water.
Jesus died for our sins. Jesus rose to give us new life.

Jesus says I am alive, I am alive, I am alive!!

Jesus is truly present in His Divinity and humanity in the Eucharist. Jesus is exposed in China in the Church. We will send Fr. Joe's new homily book out of China.

Please pray for all this.

We need your prayers next week.

We need all these prayers and for the mailing and printing of this book.
For Shelia, Jerry, Doris, Rosie and postage and mailing places.
We need prayers for our publisher. Please pray.

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994

R. Chains inflicted by men do not block freedom of the soul.
We can put chains of dysfunction and sin on ourselves.
Sins of pride and envy, jealousy.
Who can imprison a man free in the Lord, free in his soul?

Little men thinking they are so powerful.
They cannot stop the Almighty God.

They have been trying to get rid of the Christians for 2000 years.
LOOK WHAT THEY DID TO JESUS.
Look how they slaughtered the babies when Jesus was born.

R. Men cannot kill a man’s soul by killing him with arms.

We are free when we are faithful to Jesus.
Christians have been murdered!!

The devil is strong trying to rule the world now!!

Mary promised at Fatima: the Sacred Heart of Jesus will Reign and her Immaculate Heart will triumph, but a sufficient number of people must give their hearts to Jesus and Mary.

The victory has been won by Jesus.
Man must prepare for his eternal salvation by serving God. By living according to the Father's will and loving God and others as themselves.

Eternal life is life forever in heaven.

Salvation for those who love and serve the Lord.

Men cannot make us prisoners in our souls.

God makes us free!!!

Christians and Jews have been persecuted since after Jesus’ death!!

Walk in the ways of the Lord.
Surrender to God.

Jesus came to forgive sinners.

God will always win!!
Forever!!

Words of Jesus to Members of Shepherds of Christ Associates:

"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.

"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."

Revelation 21: 1-10

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, 'Look, here God lives among human beings. He will make his home among them; they will be his people, and he will be their God, God-with-them. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.'

Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. 'Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this, "What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true."' Then he said to me, 'It has already happened. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give water from the well of life free to anybody who is thirsty; anyone who proves victorious will inherit these things; and I will be his God and he will be my son. But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers and the sexually immoral, and for sorcerers, worshippers of false gods or any other sort of liars, is the second death in the burning lake of sulphur.'

One of the seven angels that had the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came to speak to me and said, 'Come here and I will show you the bride that the Lamb has married.' In the spirit, he carried me to the top of a very high mountain, and showed me Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down out of heaven from God.

R. By the gift of baptism we are made clean.
They couldn’t wait for Moses, they crafted a golden calf and began to worship the golden calf.

They could not wait, they had to take things in their own hands.

Moses threw the commandments down.
They persecuted and badgered Moses after God lead them out of the slavery in Egypt.
They fought and tried Moses.
They called Moses a fool.
They sinned against God who took care of them.
They fought Moses after he returned.
How many false gods do we worship today and fight God’s commandments saying
"We will not serve or obey God."

King Saul couldn’t wait either, he took things in his own hands and disobeyed God. He raised himself before God. Saul disobeyed the prophet Samuel.

Eve wanted to be equal to God, she disobeyed God.
We all are born with original sin, but Mary, because of Eve’s sin.
Generations of sin, disorder, dysfunction.
We need baptizing.
Baptism takes away original sin and gives us a sharing in Divine life.

We are here to die to our bad habits and leave virtuously.

Death / Resurrection.

We need guidance by our God, not more prideful men.

When Miriam crossed Moses she was covered with leprosy, unclean.

When the Pharaoh disobeyed he suffered the plagues.
We bring punishment on ourselves when we sin and disobey God.
They journeyed to the promised land in the time of Moses.

God keeps His promises.

We must listen and obey God.

We journey here to prepare for heaven.

Jesus suffered for our sins and died on the cross and rose on the 3rd day to bring us new life.

How can we reject our God who loves us and gives us the sacraments and the Church.
God is with us - how can we doubt God after all He gives us.

R. Jesus said 12 days before Mary appeared in Clearwater December 5, 1996, when He showed me Himself on the cross, that night, He said “Nobody was listening.”

God is all powerful -
He can bring a storm, pestilence etc.

He made a covenant with Noah.

A sign of the rainbow.

  Genesis 9: 8-17

God spoke as follows to Noah and his sons, ‘I am now establishing my covenant with you and with your descendants to come, and with every living creature that was with you: birds, cattle and every wild animal with you; everything that came out of the ark, every living thing on earth. And I shall maintain my covenant with you: that never again shall all living things be destroyed by the waters of a flood, nor shall there ever again be a flood to devastate the earth.’

‘And this’, God said, ‘is the sign of the covenant which I now make between myself and you and every living creature with you for all ages to come: I now set my bow in the clouds and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I gather the clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds, I shall recall the covenant between myself and you and every living creature, in a word all living things, and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all living things. When the bow is in the clouds I shall see it and call to mind the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth, that is, all living things.’

‘That’, God told Noah, ‘is the sign of the covenant I have established between myself and all living things on earth.’

R. We want to test the Lord after all He has done for us.

Jesus gave Fr. Carter the Shepherds of Christ Prayers.

Moses doubted, he was tested and tried after all God did, Moses disobeyed.

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light. end of Mary's Message

Jesus: Listen to Me.

I died for you.
Be obedient to God’s plan, don’t doubt My love for you.

R. Death is to take us to our home in heaven.

Jesus died a brutal death.
We too may have a hard death, we must prepare.

The Father wants us with Him, eternally in heaven.

R. Many are called but few are chosen.

Today is the day the Lord has made even in all this rebellion from men.

The world has had sin since Adam and Eve.

Like World War II.

The devil wanted Jesus to kneel to him.
Mary says: Gaul! Gaul!

Fighting for Control

So many problems are because of struggle for power.
Some just see only what they want.

Fighting for control.

Like what happened with Moses when he went up to get the 10 commandments,
Then when Moses came back the fight continued, in battle, between Moses and rebellion.

What is unseen are lies from those in disorder to get control for dominance for dominance sake -
To get your will above God's will.
In families, Church, there are lies to get control, have dominance for dominance sake - control.

What becomes the issue is not what is needed to do God’s plan.
It becomes a person fighting for attention for themselves and selfish control.

This is blocking what needs to get done.
This is really fighting God’s plan.

Like a boxing ring.

Satan, selfishness against God.

The most important thing is to die to one self to grow in God’s will.

The hidden problem is in cooperation and communication.

A person, because of past experiences, refuses to work in the moment, but can operate in past paralyzing fear of  “what if’s …”, things that probably won’t ever happen, so they need to control and fix it, so their fears couldn’t happen.

Things can change unforeseeably in a moment,
an accident, others doing things, the weather, a sickness,…

We have so long here to prepare for heaven. We are to live God’s plan, not block God’s plan so we can control what we want, attention.

Fear can be a menace, when we are so consumed, we already try to force what we want to control.
It’s playing God.

A person that wants control is blind-sighted.
They are dominated by evil to do this, dominance for dominance sake.

God loves us. He wants us to get out of the way with our running things.

Oh sweet surrender to God, to let God do His thing - when and how He wants.

Fight through prayers for God’s will. Purify your heart, let go of hate, bitterness, anger, pride, envy, and jealousy.
Forgive, we are all sinners.

Love finds a way.
God is love!!!

 1 John 4: 17-21

Love comes to its perfection in us when we can face the Day of Judgement fearlessly, because even in this world we have become as he is. In love there is no room for fear, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear implies punishment and no one who is afraid has come to perfection in love. Let us love, then, because he first loved us. Anyone who says 'I love God' and hates his brother, is a liar, since whoever does not love the brother whom he can see cannot love God whom he has not seen. Indeed this is the commandment we have received from him, that whoever loves God, must also love his brother.

R. Past experiences that somebody can project on a situation that has other people, another place, another situation, …

Then the person can try to control the situation so what they think can’t happen - like their thoughts are more real than what is going to happen.

Distorted thinking, twisted thinking, FEAR—

FEAR becomes more real than reality.

Let go.

Let God.
Let Him drive the car.

Sing: Little Child

Sorrowful Mysteries

The Agony in the Garden

1. The Heart of Jesus is a symbol of
    Jesus' love for us.

2. John 3: 16

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
    may not perish
but may have eternal life.

3. God loves me!
God has personal love for us!

4. Jesus suffered for my sins.
    Jesus loves us so much.

5. Why should we fear?
    God is Almighty and yet
        God loves us –

6. When we are weak –
        we are strong in Him.

7. Jesus loved us so much He
    sweat Blood.

8. Jesus suffered for me –
    He died for me.
He knew me by name –
    Jesus is our best friend.

9. Jesus gave Himself for me –
    He suffered for me.

We know the Personal love of
Jesus - read the Blue Books.

10. This love of Jesus calls for
    our response to His
    love.

Matthew 22: 36-40

‘Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself.  On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.’

The Scourging at the Pillar

1. Christianity is a religion of love.
    See Jesus unmercifully whipped
    at the pillar.
Love is the gift of self for the
        good of the other.

2. God overwhelmingly loves me and
He wants our response to Him.

3. There are 3 loves.
        1. Love of God
        2. Love of neighbor
        3. Love of self

4. We were created in the image
    and likeness of God –
    We are always in the
        state of becoming.

5. If we say we love God and
    hate our brother, we
    are a liar.

6. We are to love God with
    our whole heart, our
    whole soul, our whole
    being.

7. Look what Jesus endured for
us. He stood in a puddle
    of His own blood.

8. We don't have to like the action
of others, but we are to
    love them.

9. Matthew 25: 31-46

‘When the Son of man comes in his glory, escorted by all the angels, then he will take his seat on his throne of glory. All nations will be assembled before him and he will separate people one from another as the shepherd separates sheep from goats. He will place the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right hand, "Come, you whom my Father has blessed, take as your heritage the kingdom prepared for you since the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you made me welcome, lacking clothes and you clothed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me." Then the upright will say to him in reply, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and make you welcome, lacking clothes and clothe you? When did we find you sick or in prison and go to see you?" And the King will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me." Then he will say to those on his left hand, "Go away from me, with your curse upon you, to the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you never gave me food, I was thirsty and you never gave me anything to drink, I was a stranger and you never made me welcome, lacking clothes and you never clothed me, sick and in prison and you never visited me." Then it will be their turn to ask, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty, a stranger or lacking clothes, sick or in prison, and did not come to your help?" Then he will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you neglected to do this to one of the least of these, you neglected to do it to me." And they will go away to eternal punishment, and the upright to eternal life.’

10. We are hating ourselves when
    we don't love our neighbor
    as God commands.

The Crowning with Thorns

        close friend?

    failure in our lives,
    dysfunction in our past.

5. We can always count on
    how Jesus loves us –
    look at Jesus crowned
    with thorns and spit on
    for our sins.

6. In baptism we receive
a sharing in His life –
    We live the Christ-life.

7. 2 Peter 1: 3-7

By his divine power, he has lavished on us all the things we need for life and for true devotion, through the knowledge of him who has called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these, the greatest and priceless promises have been lavished on us, that through them you should share the divine nature and escape the corruption rife in the world through disordered passion. With this in view, do your utmost to support your faith with goodness, goodness with understanding, understanding with self–control, self–control with perseverance, perseverance with devotion, devotion with kindness to the brothers, and kindness to the brothers with love.

8. In baptism our knowing
    and loving capacity is
    elevated.

9. We receive the supernatural
virtues of faith, hope and love.

10. Jesus: I gave Myself for you.

Sing: A Song from Jesus

R. God divided the Red Sea at the time of Moses.
God gives us baptism - this brings new life.
Pharaoh never gave up - neither does the devil.

The victory is won.
Jesus rose from the dead.

God gives us the sacraments, the Church - it is our duty to pray for the Church.

The dividing of the Red Sea prefigured baptism.

Jesus: Faith, you must have faith. Dogs and cats have eyes.

God is faithful to His promise!!!

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Litugical Year (2011/2012)
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10
