Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father
united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of
Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in
the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite
in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ,
with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary,
through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and
saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us.
We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We
spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United
States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to
the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and
beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray
for our families, the priests, the Church and the world.
In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our
new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as
one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

R. Joseph had older brothers and
they knew Jacob their dad favored
Joseph and had a coat made for
him. The brothers hated Joseph
and he told them of a dream
he had and another dream
where he was over them. They
plotted to kill Joseph to get
rid of him.
Instead of killing him
they threw him in a well
with his coat. Then they
decided to sell him for 20 pieces
of silver. He was then taken
as a slave under Potiphar
who was an official of Pharaoh
in Egypt.
The brothers killed a goat
and put the blood on
Joseph's coat and gave it
to their Father saying they
found the coat.
The brothers were envious of
Joseph. Envy is a deadly sin.
This means that a person
sees another's good talents
or accomplishments and
wants to bring them down.
The sin of Joseph's brothers
with Joseph shows this
sin of envy.
The deadly sins – deaden
the way a man feels inside.
Like this to be envious and
jealous, prideful, slothful,
angry – which are deadly
sins hurt our relationship
with God and others –
The deadly sins not only
deaden our feelings toward
God and others in our
heart – they become habits.
Bad habits. God commands
we love our brothers and
sisters and love ourselves –
instead of relationships of
love of God and others –
Envy and the other deadly
sins lead us to see our
brothers and sisters as
enemies that get in our
way of getting what we
want. In the envy with
Joseph's brothers they did awful
things to Joseph even sold
him for 20 pieces of silver.
When God choose someone
He protects His chosen one
like Joseph. Joseph was
always faithful to God and
he had dreams. God has
a plan.
Potiphar's wife
accused Joseph of attacking
her. She was mad that when she
wanted Joseph sexually he
wouldn't give in. So Joseph
was sent to prison.
God can work through His
plan even when men are
working in evil like this –
God loves us and He helps
us on the way.
We saw how God worked
with Jacob – Jacob met
Rachel and Jacob suffered,
but through it all Joseph
was born.
Think about the deadly sins,
God calls us to love our brother
and love Him.
In the deadly sin of envy
the person is acting ugliness
toward his brother – not
love. They see the good their
brother does and they want
to bring them down.
In anger the person sees
their brother as the object
of their wrathful anger and
they give themselves the right
to be angry at their brother.
People can be filled with anger
their whole life – they practiced
anger and not love and then
they try to find an innocent
other to project their anger
on and they tell themselves
they can do this. It is wrong, it is
a deadly sin and becomes
a habit that hurts their
relationship with God and
others and in the end makes
how they feel in their heart
dark and deadened.
The sin of jealousy too is
against loving one's brother
as they were commanded by
God. You can see jealous
eyes and the wheels turning
inside their mind with the
temptation of satan. Instead
of seeing their brother through
the eyes of love – they see
their brother as an enemy
to what they want and
they can make up untruths
in their mind to justify
their jealousy against their
possibly innocent brother –
This becomes a habit and
people only see others as enemies –
after years and years of practicing
the deadly sins of pride and
anger and envy and jealousy
they see their brothers as
enemies to their own desires
for themselves. They never
rejoice at the Good works of
others. They are not seeing
God alive in their brother
and do not want to see
in love as God commands of us.
Pride is the worst where the
person sees themselves as
having power over others –
seeking dominance for dominance
sake.
The whole way of acting
in the deadly sins – deadens
a person's heart to not feel
love – In it they see their
brothers as enemies and their
reality between themselves and
others become more fictitious
and distorted and the devil
works in this because the
deadly sins become habits
that become automatic –
like throwing gutter balls
in bowling – If going down
the alley is being loving –
their ball can almost always
go for the gutter because
once it gets close it can
go in real easy. The
target is to try to go down
the center or close to center –
not go off on the periphery
that ends in the gutter.
Use Your Talents
October 3, 1993 Chicago Marian
Conference 11:30a.m.
Jesus: I am your
Savior, Son of the Living God. I come to you that you might have
life, not as the world gives you life, but My life which is life
eternal. I carved you from My special carving and made you little
less than an angel. I love you and cherish all the moments when you,
My special child, come to sit with Me. I wait here and I hope you
will choose to come, but I never force you. Your will is totally
free and I give it to you because of My love and the will of the
Father. I inform you in numerous ways. You do not have to guess and
wonder. Come be with Me in this silence and all you need to know
will be told to you. Your life is unfolding as a beautiful rose.
Each petal falls and you plant My odors about as I so desire. I make
your life full and sure as you trust in Me. No need for worrying, My
little flower. My ways give you freedom if you listen to your heart.
I am a personal God and you know Me as giving you fullness and life.
You know there is some magnetism to Me and the way you crave to be
part of Me. This is the work of the one, true God Who created you
with a thirst that can only be quenched by Me. All roads that lead
to Me give you fullness, worth, peace and joy, not as the world
thinks, but as you yourself know true peace and joy. When I really
touch you, you do not remain the same. I shed My Blood for you that
you will have the life only I can give. What friend in this world
would die for you? You, My child, were worth My dying for. I came
that you will have life eternal and the gift I give is My Precious
Blood for your sins. Come to Me in trouble and when you are bowed
down. Come to Me in joy. Come to Me every day that you live and I
will give you all you need. Seek to know Me more and more. Knowledge
of Me, being with Me, are the only way to perfect peace. They lead
to eternal life.
I have a divine plan for you. I
created you with special gifts and talents to be used to do My work.
They are not for your own self-promotion. You, My child, are nothing
except as I created you. Why try to promote yourself? It is none of
your own doing. I gave you the talents you are using. You had
nothing to do with it. These talents were given to you to do My
work. To use these talents to make yourself feel better than your
brother is indeed a sin. You must realize they are loaned to you to
work for Me. As you give someone a car, or loan them a place to
stay, I loan you your talents to use to work for Me. If you do not
work for Me and use them to make yourself better than your brother,
you are offending Me. Likewise, if I give you talents and you do not
use them because you think you are not as good as your brother, you
are not being thankful to Me for My gifts to you. You are not using
My gifts and that offends Me greatly. Each person was created by Me
to do My work. Each person has all he needs to do My work. To be
envious of others is fruitless. They have their job. You have yours.
You are not supposed to do their work. That is why you were not
given their talents.
Do your own work. Don't be envious
of your brothers. Don't hide your talents. You did not earn them. I
gave you your talents. You must sing because I will it. Others must
do as I will them to do. It displeases Me to give you a gift and
watch you hide it and make light of it. I give the gift. You must
use all your gifts. They were given to you to do My work. Your
brother has his gifts. Be grateful for your brother and he should be
for you. You are all chosen by Me for a special mission. You know
what to do. It feels right. I plant little seeds in your heart and
all you do that is for you in the end feels right. You are not to be
doing your brother's work or he yours. Talk to Me that you might
know just what your work is and do it.
Do not hide your talents. Praise
your God Who gave you these talents. Embrace and use them. This is
not pride. This is My plan. I love you. I give to each of you, My
precious children, as a mother who buys special Christmas gifts for
each child. To buy gifts all the same for all your children is not
to respect their specialness, their individuality.
Oh, I love you, little ones, so
much. Please come to Me. I am so good and I wait to be with you and
share My love with you. Come now. This is your top priority. All
else will work when you come to Me first. I love you. You are My
chosen children. Come and be filled and I make your loads light and
I fill you with the Spirit of Salvation.
All roads that lead to Me are the
right roads. Praise Me for I am good and I love you, little dear
ones.

R. Envy becomes a habit a person
gives into – they don't like
others having talents, money,
freedoms –
so they see people as enemies
because they say – I didn't get
this and they did and so
they can sin by trying to
even, what they think in their
distorted mind, the score.
Jesus calls it malicious intent.
Envy must not get out of
hand where in the case of
Joseph they wanted to kill him.
Envy is sinful when a person
responds in envy and
allows the envy to direct
one's actions and how
they think.
Every person was created
by God for a purpose in
the image of God – to give
into envy to try to stop
the work God is accomplishing
through another because of
our envious thoughts is
sinful. A person might think
oh their house is nicer than
ours but they don't give into
actions and thoughts to punish
them and bring them down –
they shouldn't be so fixed
on trying to compare and
be deflated by what others
have and they don't.
Stop and spend time
thinking what gifts God has
given to us and thanking him
for our family, community,
Church, friends etc. –
These are gifts from God to
cherish and see them through
the eyes of gratitude and
love.
Joseph interpreted dreams
and they were crucial to
the survival of Egypt –
Genesis 41:14-36
Then Pharaoh had
Joseph
summoned, and they hurried him from the dungeon.
He shaved and changed his clothes, and presented
himself before Pharaoh. Pharaoh said to Joseph,
'I have had a dream, and there is no one to
interpret it. But I have heard it said of you
that you can interpret a dream the instant you
hear it.' 'Not I,'
Joseph replied
to Pharaoh, 'God
will give
Pharaoh a favourable answer.'
So Pharaoh told Joseph, 'In my dream there I
was, standing on the bank of the Nile. And there
were seven cows, fat and sleek, coming up out of
the Nile, and they began to feed among the
rushes. And then seven other cows came up,
behind them, starved, very wretched and lean; I
have never seen such poor cows in all Egypt. The
lean and wretched cows ate up the first seven
fat cows. But when they had eaten them up, it
was impossible to tell they had eaten them, for
they looked as wretched as ever. Then I woke up.
And then again in my dream, there, growing on
one stalk, were seven ears of grain, beautifully
ripe; but then sprouting up behind them came
seven ears of grain, withered, meagre and
scorched by the east wind. Then the shrivelled
ears of grain swallowed the seven ripe ears of
grain. I have told the magicians, but no one has
given me the answer.'
Joseph said to Pharaoh, 'Pharaoh's dreams are
one and the same:
God has
revealed to Pharaoh what he is going to do. The
seven fine cows are seven years and the seven
ripe ears of grain are seven years; it is one
and the same dream. The seven gaunt and lean
cows coming up behind them are seven years, as
are the seven shrivelled ears of grain scorched
by the east wind: there
will be seven
years of famine. It is as I have told Pharaoh:
God has
revealed to Pharaoh what he is going to do.
Seven years are coming, bringing great plenty to
the whole of Egypt, but seven years of famine
will follow
them, when all the plenty in
Egypt
will be
forgotten, and famine
will exhaust
the land. The famine that is to follow
will be so very
severe that no one
will remember
what plenty the country used to enjoy. The
reason why
Pharaoh had the same dream twice is that the
event is already determined by God, and
God
will shortly
bring it about.'
Pharaoh should now find someone intelligent and
wise to govern Egypt. Pharaoh should take action
and appoint supervisors for the country, and
impose a tax of one-fifth on
Egypt during
the seven years of plenty. They
will
collect all the
food produced during these
good years that
are coming, and store the grain under Pharaoh's
authority, putting it in the towns and keeping
it. This food
will
form a reserve
for the country against the seven years of
famine which are coming on Egypt, so that the
country
will not be
destroyed by the famine.'
R. Joseph because of this was
given leadership in Egypt.
Joseph had love and care for
Egypt and the people. He
worked a plan in love to help
them so they would not
starve and come to destruction
in the years of famine.
Joseph was responsible and
did his work for the good
of all in Egypt. He loved
God and others. Joseph knew
it was God's plan for him –
he believed in the truth in
his dreams.
God gave St. Joseph, Jesus'
step-father a dream too –
so he knew Mary was telling
the truth.
God works in the dreams
and prophets.
What makes a good leader?
They do it for God – they
use for power for God's will –
They have responsibility and
accountability – they rely
on God's might – they know
nothing is impossible with
God. They are humble with
their power and honest
and loyal to the establishment.
They do the job to love God
and love and help others to
bring them to eternal salvation.
They live by the Laws of God.
They help with every day government
and are hardworking and
they help prepare for the future,
God's plan for all of us.
They trust in God, continue
to grow in faith, hope
and love.
God helped Joseph even
when he was in prison,
sold as a slave because
God is always with us.
God works in structure –
God works through leaders,
spiritual directors He puts
in our lives to help us to
know, love and serve Him
more.
Death / Resurrection. God
can bring good out of
suffering. Jesus died so
we could have new life in Him.
We must trust God and
ask God to outpour His grace
to us – ask for the grace we
need most. In baptism God opens
up the supernatural world
to us. God wants us to see
through the eyes of God
and worship and love Him –
have faith in His promise –
trust Him and be filled
more and more abundantly
with His life in us – which
is God's grace in us.
We see God's plan for
salvation in the story of
Joseph. Joseph was used
by God. Joseph trusted in God,
Joseph believed in God in
prison – he was probably
whipped like Christ – he was
disciplined by mean men
too, jealous, envious men
when he was a slave.
Potiphar's wife was a liar
and lustful toward Joseph –
she was betraying her
marriage vow – she
treated Joseph as an object
for her own lust –
People who keep living lives
of pride can see with such
distorted vision – they can hate
their brothers and want them
under their power. People of
pride want power – dominance
over others for their lust for
power.
Jesus shows us the humble:
Mary, St. Peter, St. Joseph,
the Apostles. Jesus went to
His death paying for our sins –
Jesus shows us how to love –
love of our brothers
forgiveness –
The family of Jacob was
united under Joseph
and the family would
have died without the
food Joseph gave them.
God puts us here to grow in
virtue, humility, faith,
hope, love, fortitude,
justice, temperance, prudence.
We are created in the image
of God.
In Genesis the snake is
used for the devil. Snakes can
be deadly if they bite you –
Snakes can wrap themselves
around a prey and squeeze
them to death –
Snakes are sneaky – snakes
blend in so you don't
see them coming – snakes
don't come in a clatter –
they show up –
Satan works in secrets, satan
is the Father of lies, satan
is hate –
Eternity is forever – a soul
never gets out, never sees God,
has nothing but hate and
punishment, is isolated –
The children of Fatima
described the vision Mary
showed them of hell –
From Fatima Peace Plan — Tan Books p.4-5.

THE CHILDREN SEE HELL
As she spoke these words, Our Lady stretched out her
hands, and bright rays came forth which seemed to penetrate
into the earth. All at once the ground vanished, and the
children found themselves standing on the brink of a sea of
fire. As they peered into this dreadful place, the terrified
youngsters saw huge numbers of devils and damned souls. The
devils resembled hideous black animals, each filling the air
with despairing shrieks. The damned souls were in their
human bodies and seemed to be brown in color, tumbling about
constantly in the flames and screaming with terror. All were
on fire within and without their bodies, and neither devils
nor damned souls seemed able to control their movements.
They were tossing about in the flames like fiery coals in a
furnace. There was never an instant's peace or freedom from
pain.

Excerpt from The Spirituality of Fatima
by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.
July 13, 1917
"During her appearance in
July, Our Lady, in answer to Lucia's plea, promised that in
October she would work a great miracle so that all might believe
and know who she was. Again, the Mother of God told the children
to sacrifice themselves for sinners and to say many times,
especially when making a sacrifice, this prayer:
"O my Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for
the conversion of poor sinners, and in reparation for all the
sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary."
(11)
"During this same July
apparition, Mary showed the three children a vision of Hell. She
told them:
"You have seen Hell, where
the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to
establish, in the world, devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If
people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there
will be peace.
"The war (World War I,
then raging) is going to end. But if people do not stop
offending God, another and worse one will begin in the reign of
Pius XI. When you shall see a night illuminated by an unknown
light [January 2, 1938],
know that this is the great sign that God gives you that He is
going to punish the world for its many crimes by means of war,
hunger, and persecution of the Church and the Holy Father.
(12)
"To prevent this, I shall
come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate
Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the five first
Saturdays. If my requests are granted, Russia will be converted
and there will be peace. If not, she will scatter her errors
throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the
Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have
much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed....
"But in the end, my
Immaculate Heart will triumph, the Holy Father will consecrate
Russia to me, Russia will be converted, and a certain period of
peace will be granted to the world."

R. Despite the brothers of Joseph
who did evil, God brought
good out of it.
A person hurts themselves
when they oppose God and
God judges justly, but
God gives us a chance for
forgiveness and mercy.
God protected Joseph, but
Joseph suffered his brothers'
attacks, when he was

Joseph had great faith. Joseph

Hebrews 11:1-40
The exemplary faith of our ancestors
Only faith can guarantee the
blessings that we hope for, or prove the existence of realities that are
unseen. It is for their faith that our anestors are acknowledged.
It is by faith that we
understand that the ages were created by a word from God, so that from
the invisible the visible world came to be.
It was because of his
faith that Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain, and for that
he was acknowledged as upright when God himself made
acknowledgement of his offerings. Though he is dead, he still
speaks by faith.
It was because of his
faith that Enoch was taken up and did not experience death: he was no
more, because God took him; because before his assumption he was
acknowledged to have pleased God. Now it is impossible to please
God without faith, since anyone who comes to him must believe that he
exists and rewards those who seek him.
It was through his faith
that Noah, when he had been warned by God of something that had never
been seen before, took care to build an ark to save his family. His
faith was a judgement on the world, and he was able to claim the
uprightness which comes from faith.
It was by faith that
Abraham obeyed the call to set out for a country that was the
inheritance given to him and his descendants, and that he set out
without knowing where he was going. By faith he sojourned in the
Promised Land as though it were not his, living in tents with Isaac and
Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. He looked forward to
the well-founded city, designed and built by God.
It was equally by faith
that Sarah, in spite of being past the age, was made able to conceive,
because she believed that he who had made the promise was faithful to
it.
Because of this, there came
from one man, and one who already had the mark of death on him,
descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven and the grains of sand
on the seashore which cannot be counted.
All these died in faith,
before receiving any of the things that had been promised, but they saw
them in the far distance and welcomed them, recognising that they were
only strangers and nomads on earth. People who use such terms
about themselves make it quite plain that they are in search of a
homeland. If they had meant the country they came from, they would have
had the opportunity to return to it; but in fact they were longing for a
better homeland, their heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed
to be called their God, since he has founded the city for them.
It was by faith that
Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac. He offered to
sacrifice his only son even though he had yet to receive what had
been prcomised, and he had been told: Isaac is the one through whom
your name will be carried on. He was confident that God had the
power even to raise the dead; and so, figuratively speaking, he was
given back Isaac from the dead.
It was by faith that this
same Isaac gave his blessing to Jacob and Esau for the still distant
future. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph's
sons, bowed in reverence, as he leant on his staff. It was by
faith that, when he was about to die, Joseph mentioned the Exodus of the
Israelites and gave instructions about his own remains.
It was by faith that
Moses, when he was born, was kept hidden by his parents for three
months; because they saw that he was a fine child;
they were not afraid of the royal edict. It was by faith that, when
he was grown up, Moses refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's
daughter and chose to be ill-treated in company with God's people rather
than to enjoy the transitory pleasures of sin. He considered that the
humiliations offered to the Anointed were something more precious than
all the treasures of Egypt, because he had his eyes fixed on the reward.
It was by faith that he left Egypt without fear of the king's anger; he
held to his purpose like someone who could see the Invisible. It was by
faith that he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood to
prevent the Destroyer from touching any of their first-born sons.
It was by faith they crossed the Red Sea as easily as dry land, while
the Egyptians, trying to do the same, were drowned.
It was through faith that
the walls of Jericho fell down when the people had marched round them
for seven days. It was by faith that Rahab the prostitute welcomed the
spies and so was not killed with the unbelievers.
What more shall I say?
There is not time for me to give an account of Gideon, Barak, Samson,
Jephthah, or of David, Samuel and the prophets. These were men who
through faith conquered kingdoms, did what was upright and earned the
promises. They could keep a lion's mouth shut, put out blazing fires and
emerge unscathed from battle. They were weak people who were given
strength to be brave in war and drive back foreign invaders. Some
returned to their wives from the dead by resurrection; and others
submitted to torture, refusing release so that they would rise again to
a better life. Some had to bear being pilloried and flogged, or even
chained up in prison. They were stoned, or sawn in half, or killed by
the sword; they were homeless, and wore only the skins of sheep and
goats; they were in want and hardship, and maltreated. They were too
good for the world and they wandered in deserts and mountains and in
caves and ravines. These all won acknowledgment through their faith, but
they did not receive what was promised, since God had made provision for
us to have something better, and they were not to reach perfection
except with us.

Shepherds of Christ Associates:
"My beloved
priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds
of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates,
in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.
"I will use the newsletter
and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful
instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.
"I am calling many to
become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them
I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help
bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My

7 levels of commitment of the Shepherds
of Christ
-
There are Associates
who gather and pray at least once monthly as a group and also help
with donations to support the Shepherds of Christ priestly
newsletter. They can be tremendously involved. They give as they
feel they are able.
-
Apostles are
members who have restricted their apostolic activity to the
Shepherds of Christ. They literally act as a body of lay people who
have given their lives in their present living situation to do all
that they can to bring about the Reign of the Sacred Heart and
triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart.
-
Prayer Apostles
are often shut-ins, some are able to go to church and pray. They
spend much of their lives praying for the Movement.
-
Apostles of the
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus are those who spend at least two
separate hours weekly before the Blessed Sacrament praying for the
following:
-
For the spread of
the devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary culminating in the
reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate
Heart.
-
For the Pope.
-
For all bishops of
the world.
-
For all priests.
-
For all sisters and
brothers in the religious life.
-
For all members of
the Shepherds of Christ Movement, and for the spread of this
Movement to the world.
-
For all members of
the Catholic Church.
-
For all members of
the human family.
-
For all souls in
purgatory.
In that hour before the
Eucharist they spend part of the time praying the Shepherds of
Christ prayers and the rosary. The time can be spent with spouse or
others, but most spend the time alone before the Eucharist.

Handmaids of the Good
Shepherd are young and older women who have given their lives in
community primarily to pray for the Shepherds of Christ Movement and
intentions and to be special spouses of Jesus. Some have more duties
than others. All have the primary duty of prayer and the desire to
be a special spouse of Our Lord. One of the functions of the
handmaids is their involvement in praying for and helping to
circulate the priestly newsletter. The handmaids are not members of
a religious order.
-
Servants of the Good
Shepherd are men who live in community with a lifestyle and
purpose similar to that of the handmaids. The servants are not
members of a religious order.
-
We wish to form a
special congregation of priests who will realize their great
oneness with Christ. They will be consecrated deeply to the Hearts
of Jesus and Mary and support the Shepherds of Christ Movement as
holy priests.
