Whatever their troubles, I will answer their cry, and I will always be their Lord.
Readings
Amos 8: 4-7
Listen to this, you who crush the needy
and reduce the oppressed to nothing,
you who say,
‘When will New Moon be over
so that we can sell our corn,
and Sabbath, so that we can market
our wheat?
Then, we can make
the bushel–measure smaller
and the shekel–weight bigger,
by fraudulently tampering
with the scales.
We can buy up the weak for silver
and the poor for a pair of sandals,
and even get a price
for the sweepings of the wheat.’
Yahweh has sworn by the pride of Jacob,
Never will I forget
anything they have done.'
Psalm 113: 1-2, 4-8
Alleluia!
Praise, servants of Yahweh,
praise the name of Yahweh.
Blessed be the name of Yahweh,
henceforth and for ever.
Supreme over all nations is Yahweh,
supreme over the heavens his glory.
Who is like Yahweh our God?
His throne is set on high,
but he stoops to look down on heaven and earth. He raises the poor from the dust,
he lifts the needy from the dunghill,
to give them a place among princes,
among princes of his people.
1 Timothy 2: 1-8
I urge then, first of all that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving should be offered for everyone, for kings and others in authority, so that we may be able to live peaceful and quiet lives with all devotion and propriety. To do this is right, and acceptable to God our Saviour: he wants everyone to be saved and reach full knowledge of the truth. For there is only one God, and there is only one mediator between God and humanity, himself a human being, Christ Jesus, who offered himself as a ransom for all. This was the witness given at the appointed time, of which I was appointed herald and apostle and-I am telling the truth and no lie-a teacher of the gentiles in faith and truth.
In every place, then, I want the men to lift their hands up reverently in prayer, with no anger or argument.
He also said to his disciples, 'There was a rich man and he had a steward who was denounced to him for being wasteful with his property. He called for the man and said, "What is this I hear about you? Draw me up an account of your stewardship because you are not to be my steward any longer." Then the steward said to himself, "Now that my master is taking the stewardship from me, what am I to do? Dig? I am not strong enough. Go begging? I should be too ashamed. Ah, I know what I will do to make sure that when I am dismissed from office there will be some to welcome me into their homes."
'Then he called his master's debtors one by one. To the first he said, "How much do you owe my master?" "One hundred measures of oil," he said. The steward said, "Here, take your bond; sit down and quickly write fifty." To another he said, "And you, sir, how much do you owe?" "One hundred measures of wheat," he said. The steward said, "Here, take your bond and write eighty."
'The master praised the dishonest steward for his astuteness. For the children of this world are more astute in dealing with their own kind than are the children of light.'
‘And so I tell you this: use money, tainted as it is, to win you friends, and thus make sure that when it fails you, they will welcome you into eternal dwellings. Anyone who is trustworthy in little things is trustworthy in great; anyone who is dishonest in little things is dishonest in great. If then you are not trustworthy with money, that tainted thing, who will trust you with genuine riches? And if you are not trustworthy with what is not yours, who will give you what is your very own?
‘No servant can be the slave of two masters: he will either hate the first and love the second, or be attached to the first and despise the second. You cannot be the slave both of God and of money.’
R. Many times we prosper and then we
move away from God –
God may allow us to suffer to
bring us back –
Or our moving away from Him
may be the cause of great
suffering for us.
Many men risk their lives in wars
defending their country –
Many homes tore apart by war –
families building love for
years, like the Jewish
caught in the War of
World War II –
When we think we will die or
lose everything, we have
many times, we can let go
of 'pity-pot' ways and appreciate
life and see everything as
precious –
What happened to that sweet lingering
love of the past –
God has blessed us so abundantly
and we can be very ungrateful
for all we have.
Every blue sky is so beautiful –
every puffy white cloud so beautiful
and we can miss all of it,
if we don't look for
the good in the beautiful –
God is the author of love –
We can see the rolling hills
and blue skies, the sun shining –
the mist in the distance over
a beautiful day –
We can measure things in
ways that are not God's
ways. We never know when
the gifts we have can be
taken away.
Dear God, help us to be
all You want us to be.
God has given us the love
of husband and wife, the love
of mother and father for children,
the love of family, the love
of friends.
God has given us each other
to share and love and because
of ways opposed to God's
will some feel afraid to love
when it is God's will.
We can worry and worry about
things that will never happen. We
must pray to want God's will.
God intends us to be with others,
to work with each other –
When a person finds out they
might die, they may see through
eyes that help them to see how
precious life really is.
There are disappointments in
life – We must live with rules.
We need to pray for our leaders.
God intends us to have relationships,
and to work things out – to
work on problems and not
be the problem, but part of
the solution.
We need to be in touch with
ourselves. Know our past and
recover from old wounds.
We need to be able to live in
the moment.
From a Lenten Homily, March 24, 2000
Live in the Moment
Today’s Gospel in its story certainly points ahead to Jesus in His Passion and death. And as we read passages such as this during the Lenten season, we are reminded once again that the Church in her Liturgy of the Word gives us an opportunity to undergo a purification, an ever deepening cleansing of ourselves so that we may be a more fit instrument for receiving the great graces which are to be given to us at the time of the Resurrection memorial on Easter. And so all in all, Lent is a time of purification to prepare us for ever-greater gifts of the Lord. It’s a time of self-discipline, a time to renew our efforts to be self-disciplined in the service of the Lord. Self-discipline is an aspect of purification. And I suggest that one of the most difficult acts of self-discipline in the spiritual journey is to concentrate on the present moment. We have a very strong tendency to disregard the importance of the present moment by focusing in a wrong way on the past or in a wrong way on the future. There are proper occasions for thinking of the past and the future. For example, we have to learn from the past and we have to prepare for the future, but our great emphasis has to be upon the present. There is a Latin axiom which says, age quod agis, age quod agis, which means: do what you are doing, concentrate on the present. And of course we are familiar with that term in the history of spirituality: the sacrament of the present moment. And so the discipline of Lent certainly encourages us to include in a deeper self-discipline a greater determination to get as much as we can out of the present moment. People with a terminal illness have an opportunity as they prepare for death for increased prayer, contrition, love of God. However, some are taken very, very quickly. But for those who have the opportunity of knowing with some certainty the time of their death, I’m sure as they look back on their lives, they are saddened by the many times they did not use time and opportunities for the service of the Lord properly, and are overjoyed at those times in which they did use the present opportunity properly. A great means we have of living in the present properly is a greater focus upon our Lord. For if I have that awareness of the fact I am united with Jesus here and now, why should I be concerned so much about the future or the past? Yes, a great help in living in the present and deriving all the good we can from it for ourselves and others is an ever greater focus upon Jesus, because the more I focus upon Jesus and the more I live with Him in the present moment, the more I am satisfied with the present moment. And so let us in our Lenten activity resolve to grow in that self-discipline - which is very difficult at times - to really live in the presence with the fullness of our being as much as is possible, with the help of God’s grace. Now is the day of salvation. Now is the day of salvation.
end of Father Carter's homily
R. People in dysfunctional families
need to work on recovery.
In alcoholic families we see
there is a family that needs
recovery. The enabler can be
as sick as the alcoholic,
there is usually a hero child
and a scapegoat child.
All need to see their parts
in working toward the
dysfunctional family.
There are slavishly dependent
relationships –
We need to be accountable to
someone who will help
us see what we need to
see –
We need to learn to let go of
anger that can poison
our hearts –
God wants us to have loving
relationships with those
He puts in our lives.
Dear God help us to have
the grace to love You and
others as You want us to
love.
Married men and women are
not free to love others in
a romantic relationship.
Priests are married to God –
Ladies should not "flirt"
with priests, women try
to attract married men.
Sisters and brothers
are married to God, what
an honor.
Families are to have responsibilities.
A husband love his wife and
a wife love their husband –
Can you imagine the mess if
a man could have many
wives?
R. People used to help each
other more.
People were more caring
of their neighbor.
God is with us.
When we give love to
others according to
God's will we are
loving Jesus.

I was in the last hurricane Jeanne, before
it started we drove in its path over and back
across Florida praying and sprinkling holy
water.
I had settled on a Key on the west side of Florida
after this. The winds soon came on Sunday
September 26. Where I was, was up on the top floor
and the power went out. The steps were
dark and filled with water and all food
had stopped. I had gone to Mass Sunday
morning and it was so windy I could hardly
open the car door. The Church was almost
empty and it was so windy the Church
door didn't want to open. When I returned
from Church, the power went out. No food,
no reports about the hurricane, no
elevators.

September 22, 1997
Jesus: "STIFF-NECKED, stiff-necked, stiff-necked. There will be a new heaven and a new earth. The old order will pass away. For they worshipped Me with their lips only and their hearts were far from Me.
I will rock the earth and bring the senseless men to their knees. They will learn to beg ‘LAMB OF GOD, YOU TAKE AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD, HAVE MERCY ON US!"
Their thoughts are far from me....
I am the LAMB OF GOD. I AM THE BRIDEGROOM OF THEIR SOULS – of a country of stiffs, naked in their ways, their hearts are haughty, for they persist in their same ways.
They are resistant to change. They refuse to go to the Heart of My Mother, yet she is their Mother and Mother of the Church.
Oh, to a world of stiff-necked.... I give you this message. Look at My Body on the cross, it was broken and mutilated, it was constrained, it was the picture of torment and twisting.
I speak through these messages and you continue in your stiff-necked ways. Would the destruction of your temples bring you to your knees? Or should I destroy My own houses? Or would they get the message anyway, if I burned them down?
(R. On September 22, 1997, He said this. I suffered for several days. Then the basillica in Assisi was destroyed.)

From Blue Book 11
April 23, 1996
Tuesday at Our Lady of The Woods
Before the TabernacleSorrowful Mysteries
Jesus: I am love. I have come to you in a special way this evening. I am calling you to open wide your hearts and let Me enter deeply into your heart. I love you with the deepest love. You do not trust and you do not thank Me for the great gifts that I have given to you. So few souls come to Me with burning love. They come and they recite words and I am longing for such love from you. Come to My Heart, My beloved ones, and let Me bathe you in My burning love. I am Jesus, on fire for love of you.
The Agony in the Garden
Jesus: Enter into the heart of My Mother, the heart of pure and tender love and feel the Holy Spirit fill you deeply with His love. As you are purified more in the heart of My Mother, come to My Heart, come into the white heat of My love. It is there, My dear ones, that you will unite with the Father's love. It is this vision that will set you free. Come to the whitest, deepest chamber of My Heart and feel the presence of the Almighty God. I am truly present with you and in this room.
R. The Almighty God is present. Bow to your Savior, His majesty, King, and unite in this white chamber with the Holy Eucharist, with the Sacrifice of the Mass being offered throughout the world as the priest raises the host in the deepest chamber of the Heart of Jesus. Unite with the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present in the Mass. Jesus gave Himself for love of us on Calvary and Jesus gives us Himself now in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
1. Jesus: I want such intimacy with My beloved souls. You hold yourself closed and you search for love in this world and I am waiting for you to come and to be so close to Me. This is a rosary that you will long remember. If you open your heart I will touch you in a special way. Release all of the anxieties in your life and be present to Me. Forget everything that you carry and feel the presence of the Almighty God. Such completeness and joy within your being! You are free and you are wrapped in My love.
2. Jesus: This is your place of refuge, the deepest chamber of My Heart, for around you, you will suffer many things that will cause you suffering and you will go to My Heart in the deepest chamber for your refuge. Come now, come to the red room. Let the world quiet around you and feel the presence of the Almighty God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, within your heart. Hear the roar of the fire from My burning love. You are wrapped in an embrace – a Divine embrace of My love. I am Jesus. Feel this presence for all eternity and you will know peace, love and joy. Completeness, you will know, the fire of God's love.
3. R. Jesus knelt in the Garden – Jesus Christ, the Son of God-made-Man and His Heart was filled with this burning love. So far beyond our imagination! The Heart that is love and He saw before Him today all of the souls and so many would forget Him and neglect Him. Many treat Him with such disrespect. Many use His name in vain and they pridefully march about this earth seeking pleasure speaking God's name in vain. Jesus knew all this anguish in the garden and His Heart was in such pain for He is love. Think of how it is to love someone with all your heart and be treated with such hatred and disrespect. To be cursed at, spit on, slapped – Jesus' Heart on fire for all men, knelt in the garden and He knew every sin of every man for all time vividly, in every detail. Every hatred, the vilest deed committed and His Heart was in such anguish that He sweat blood.
4. R. Jesus allows us to go through suffering in our lives today and we wonder why. We say, Jesus, for You I will do anything...and then He gives us suffering and we walk around and we complain. Our mouth and our heart do not always match. It is in great suffering that we unite deeper and deeper to the Heart of Jesus. Everything that we experience in our life today He is allowing, that we may join closer and closer to Him in deeper love. Every single thing that happens in our life, He allows and it is in staying rooted to Him that we learn lessons – lessons about Him.
5. Jesus: The trial that you experience in your life this day is a great gift from Me, in living in that trial according to the Father's will – you can grow in greater holiness and love.
6. R. He said, "Father, if it is possible, remove this cup from Me", but He complied to the Father's will and out of greatest love for us, Jesus gave Himself.
7. R. God gives us a sharing in His life in baptism. We carry out His life, death and resurrection in our lives. He loves through us. He serves through us. He helps others through us. We are His hands and we are His feet. Jesus lives today and He lives and acts in us.
8. Jesus: Satan will get you focused on little details that are of no account. You must ward against the workings of satan. He uses your minds to get you focused on such foolish things. I am waiting for the words of love recited from your mouth. Tell Me of your love. Do not listen to those words that confuse you in your minds. Come to My Heart and I will set you free.
9. R. He knelt there in the garden and the apostles slept.
10. Hail Mary
Jesus is Scourged at the Pillar
Jesus: I call you to surrender, My dear ones. There are many things in this world that are not of your liking. Do not fight, accept those things that I send to you that you will grow more in your love. I am teaching you in all the trials that you are experiencing. I am Jesus. I am there with you at every moment. I know your every thought. I know every desire in your heart. You cannot hide from Me. Trust Me. I am with you at every moment.
R. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee!
1. R. The tabernacle door opens and in it we behold the Almighty God. Jesus is truly present in this room with us now. Let us meditate on His presence with us. The same as the day that He stood at the Pillar and was beaten, He is in this room. What a great gift He gives to us. How do we thank Him for this gift?
2. R. My dear Jesus, I see the cold hearts in this world. I see the vileness on the television and what the little children are being taught and how few children are told of Your immense love for them. You commanded us to love God and to love one another, yet so many have excluded You completely from their lives. I want to help make reparation for my sins and the sins of all men.
3. R. God controls our every breath and our every heartbeat. He is the Creator and we are the creatures, subject to Him. We realize that at any moment that we could be snatched from this earth, yet we pridefully strut about the earth and do as we please. Let us pray for ourselves and all those that are so blind this day, that they have forgotten God and have excluded Him from their lives. Let us pray to God in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for an outpouring of grace for those souls whose hearts have turned dark.
4. R. Jesus stood at the pillar and they raised the instruments and they beat Him and His flesh was torn. His body was mangled, the blood flew in the air and His Heart still burning with love for each and every soul. Let us go to the Heart of Jesus and know this love, the love that He has, that He was crucified and gave Himself on the cross for us.
5. R. As we know more Jesus' love, as we are filled with Jesus' love and become one in Jesus, Jesus loves through us in the world today. God commands us to do two things: to love God and to love each other as ourselves. Jesus showed us that He loved us so, that He allowed them to beat and tear His flesh.
6. R. My Jesus, it is an act of the will when I am taunted and I am distracted, when I am confused and when I do not know where to turn, it is an act of my will to go to the whitest chamber in Your Heart and to unite with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I must put aside all of the thoughts in my mind that are distracting me and go to this refuge, this room where I know there is endless love, which wraps around me and sets me free, for if I am living only to love God and to do His will I know that You are protecting me during all the trials, when I seem so alone sometimes. It is in Your Heart that I find refuge. When the world caves in around me I go into Your Heart and I am lost in Your love.
7. R. We must discipline our thoughts and go to Jesus when we are troubled. What good does it do us to fight the Plan of God?
Jesus: My beloved ones, to ponder and focus on the problems in your life. Does this relieve the problem? Come to Me. I am the Almighty God. I can do all things and I will help you in your trials.
8. R. See Jesus, tied at the Pillar and beaten raw and look into His eyes and see the eyes that burn with love. Even though He was beaten, His eyes are gentle and kind. He does not holler back at the men, He looks at them with love. He came to show us the way.
Jesus: You are My hands and you are My feet. You are My Heart in this world today. As you love, I will love through you. Let your heart be pure and focused always on My ways. I am with you until the end of time. You have nothing to fear but the fear of sin, for I am with you at every second. It is only in sin that you could lose your soul.
9. Jesus: In the deepest and darkest night I am with you in your suffering. I was beaten at the Pillar for My love of you. I am with you this day.
10. Song: I Love You Jesus
Jesus: Many things this day are not to your liking. Surrender and know that in that trial you will learn more and more how to be as the Father intends you to be: loving, kind and gentle.
The Crowning with Thorns
Jesus: There will be one flock and one shepherd. The way to My Heart is through My Mother's heart. She is the keeper of My Heart. I bid you to go to the loving heart of My Mother and to come into the deepest chamber of My Heart. It is there that you will know the Father's love. Minute by minute, I am attentive to all of your needs. You must surrender and trust. It is in your trust that I pour out My love to you.
1. R. They pounded into His head a sharp crown of piercing thorns. Think of how it would be to sit still while the people that you loved so dearly pounded into your head a crown of thorns.
2. R. What is our problem that we cannot understand the small trials that He gives us this day? That we stay so focused on such incidental matters when He tells us how He is truly present at every second and He is telling us to surrender and instead of worrying, to tell Him how we love Him, for He is the Almighty God! He has all the power and going to Him will truly set us free.
3. R. Many this day have turned their backs on God and Mary cries out for the souls that will go to hell at every second. When we love we are helping souls to know Jesus. Jesus is love. Jesus has called us to do this work to help souls to get to heaven by giving our lives as a sacrifice for souls. Whatever it is, if it is eating or sleeping or loving, it is an offering, if we operate as the Father wills. Why do we hold back and not give our lives to the Father as a sacrifice, an offering, for this will help souls. It is the intention to give our lives, all that we do, to the Father, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, to help grace to be released for the souls Jesus died for.
4. R. Jesus shows us how He gave. They pounded into His head a sharp crown of thorns and the blood ran down His face and into His eyes and His ears and He withstood this treatment for within was a Heart filled with burning love for His beloved souls. Can we not this day offer up our daily activities in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for the souls of our brothers?
5. R. The angel at Fatima said to offer everything we do as a sacrifice for souls. Mary showed the three children the vision of hell and the children, so little, were horrified. Why do we close our eyes and not realize that it is really important that we join our lives to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for grace for the souls. By uniting our lives to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and offering it to the Father we will help in every activity that we perform, our lives become so important for grace to be released on the Church and the world. It is through Jesus' death that we have life. We offer our lives as a sacrifice that many will be saved, we pray for God's saving grace to be released.
6. R. Jesus shed His blood for the souls. Jesus asks us to love, for He lives in this world through us.
7. R. They hollered every ugly word against Jesus. God, who is all worthy of all our love and you think this is so terrible, but look at how Jesus is treated today – Jesus is ignored and forgotten by many. You cannot even speak His word to some because their hearts have turned to hearts of stone. Jesus comes with a kind and generous Heart, always ready to take the souls back, for He loves them. Let us pray fervently for so many souls on this earth today whose hearts have turned to stone. Jesus gave His blood for them!
8. R. Jesus ascended into heaven and left the apostles here to carry out His work, He gave us the Church – We as member of the mystical body of Christ are united in carrying out the work Christ began.
9. R. The richest source of grace that is released is in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. When we unite to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and offer our lives as a sacrifice to the Father, we can help souls. Pray they will receive grace and turn from their sinful ways.
10. Hail Mary
Jesus Carries His Cross
R. But I just wish that this hadn't happened. Why did this happen? I felt so good and then this happened. What is the cross that Jesus gives you to carry this day? Do we not realize that the greatest sacrifice that was ever offered was that Jesus gave Himself on the cross for us and He rose on the 3rd day? When we accept the trials that we experience and unite them to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the grace flows on this earth. God wants our lives given in love, doing the Father's will.
1. Jesus: I give to you sufferings today. How do you accept the sufferings I give to you? It is in the suffering that you will know My life. Your life, a constant death and resurrection, constant dying and rising to new life – in each suffering you receive an abundant share in My life.
2. R. Jesus fell to the earth and the cross fell on Him. His face hit the ground and He could hardly get up but His Heart was filled with love. Love is an energy that helps us to move even under the most duress. Jesus, under the cross, got up three times because of His love for us.
3. R. "Lord, let me walk that last mile in Your shoes, under the weight of the wood."
4. R. "How do we walk the last mile under the weight of the wood?" Do we complain? Do we realize that in carrying the cross we are given great graces for ourselves and for others?
5. R. Jesus' eyes peered into the eyes of His beloved Mother. In that embrace was the deep love between His Heart and her heart. Jesus saw her face reddened and covered with tears and she saw His face covered with blood. But we do not realize how much love Jesus and Mary have for us. Let us focus on the sight that Mary saw when she looked into the eyes of her beloved Son: See clearly before you, that face of Jesus, for this is reality – that the Son of God came to this earth and He gave Himself for love of man and He is crying out to each one of us in this room to spread His love. The world is sick and in pain and many are dying and dropping into hell. What do we do to wake the dead? What He asks us to do is so simple. He asks us to love God and love one another as ourselves and offer our daily activities as a sacrifice, in union with the Mass. Many do not have time for our beloved Jesus. But, we see His face on the ground and we see Him hang from the cross and I hear Him cry out, "Tell them, Rita, tell them, tell them." Do you know what it is to hear the voice of Jesus call out, "Tell them, Rita, tell them Rita, tell them." Do you know what it is to hear the voice of Jesus call out, "I am alive, I am alive, I am alive", and no one pays heed.
Jesus: I gave Myself for love of you. I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. This is an urgent message to every person in this room. I am longing for your love. I want to be one in you, to live in you, to touch the hardened hearts through you this day. I am God and I am speaking to you.
6. R. Do you know what it is to see the face of our beloved Mother before you and to hear her say that souls will go to hell and to beg and to beg – this is our heavenly Mother that is talking to us. Let our hearts be moved to love God with our whole heart, our whole soul and our whole being and to love our neighbor that they may see His life alive in us, to be fearless soldiers to march on the world and to carry the banner of His love in the darkness.
7. R. They spit on Him and the blood ran all over His body. Jesus was beaten all over His body and then He carried the heavy cross and fell to the ground. They pulled Him up and kicked Him and forced Him to move on and we say, "but I can't love this day, that person is just mean to me", and the Heart of Jesus is burning love.
8. R. It is all in our hearts. How many hearts are shut down. The life of God lives within our hearts. If the heart is cut off from the vine it has no life and it withers and dies. So many of Mary's children this day are wandering down the dark street looking for pleasure to fill themselves and their hearts are like stone.
9. Hail Mary
10. R. Like ripples on a pond, love radiates. God works in us when we become one in Him and when He touches the heart of someone through us it spreads speedily, like a burning fire, for His love is on fire for souls.
Jesus is Crucified and Dies on the Cross
R. Lord, let me walk that last mile in Your shoes. When Jesus is one with us, all of our actions are magnified with the might of the Almighty God. In one small act of loving, it reverberates and touches so many hearts. We do not know the seeds that we plant even when we go to the store, but at every moment we are helping to bring down great grace in our Morning Offering as members of the body of Christ. When we are doing the Father's will with love, it is a most heroic act - to love.
1. R. You cannot love too much. We are to love according to the Father's will, Jesus' Heart is a fire, far beyond our imagination. Let us pray to Him to give us the grace to love as He loves through us.
2. R. Love is self-giving for the good of the other, according to the Father's will. Jesus showed us the greatest act of love when He spread His arms and He selflessly gave His all for love of us. In all of our acts today we carry out His life, death and resurrection in our lives. When we are united to the Mass, all day in our Morning Offering, it is a great act of love of God and others. In this simple act of love – there is such grace released when we unite it to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
3. R. The world will shine with the brightest light and hearts all over the world will love God with the most fervent love. Mary said at Fatima: The Sacred Heart of Jesus will Reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph. We must consecrate our hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We want God to dwell in us. We will carry out His love in our lives this day.
4. R. Mary stood beneath the cross and she watched her beloved Son. Just think for a moment, think of all the pain that Jesus suffered. Think of what it would be like to have nails pounded into your hands and your feet and your head crowned with thorns, and wounds all over your body, beaten with harsh instruments, drained of all of your blood and to hang on a cross for three agonizing hours.
But Jesus says to us, "My greatest sufferings were not what I experienced to My body but to My Heart, for I love the souls with the deepest love and I am forgotten and treated with such indifference." Jesus would rather have one soul that loves Him with the deepest love than a million souls that have a cold love toward Him or love Him half-heartedly.
Jesus: Will you be that soul? Will you be the soul that warms My Heart? Will I hear the words from your lips all day as you go about your activities and you take those small moments and say, 'Jesus, I love You.' Will you march into this world and tell others how much you love Me that they too might think about how great the love of God is? You are My hands and you are My feet. My hands were pierced and My feet were pierced for love of you. I ask you now to lift yours in love of your brothers.
5. R. Let us join in one mind and one heart all together in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and pray for this world that the grace and mercy of the Almighty God will reign on the earth.
6. Acts 7: 51 - 8: 1
'You stubborn people, with uncircumcised hearts and ears. You are always resisting the Holy Spirit, just as your ancestors used to do. Can you name a single prophet your ancestors never persecuted? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Upright One, and now you have become his betrayers, his murderers. In spite of being given the Law through angels, you have not kept it.'
They were infuriated when they heard this, and ground their teeth at him.
But Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at God's right hand. 'Look! I can see heaven thrown open,' he said, 'and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God.' All the members of the council shouted out and stopped their ears with their hands; then they made a concerted rush at him, thrust him out of the city and stoned him. The witnesses put down their clothes at the feet of a young man called Saul. As they were stoning him, Stephen said in invocation, 'Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.' Then he knelt down and said aloud, 'Lord, do not hold this sin against them.' And with these words he fell asleep.
Saul approved of the killing.
R. In the First Reading this morning, Paul said that they are stiff-necked people and uncircumcised in hearts and ears. Jesus wants us to be in one mind and one heart with each other. We put up walls and keep ourselves away from one another. Jesus wants us to love each other as brothers and sisters with God as our Father and Mary as our Mother. St. Paul said we oppose the Holy Spirit and we are just like our ancestors.
7. R. Mary said at Fatima: "Until a sufficient number have consecrated their hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary we will not have peace in this world." Let us give our hearts in love to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary that we will be what Jesus wants us to be. That we will live in Him. He will use us to help light up the dark world. Jesus hung on the cross for three hours. Jesus' body was the great light against the darkened sky. If we stay in union with Christ crucified, we will be a great light against the darkness in this world.
8. R. In the cross there is the Resurrection. Jesus comes and Jesus gives to us a sharing in His Divine life in baptism. The Sacred Heart of Jesus will Reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph.
9. Song: See the Eyes that Look at Mary
R. Can we see as Mary looked into the eyes of Jesus? Can we see as Mary saw Jesus hang on the cross covered with blood and withered? Can we see as Mary saw her Son – His face covered with blood and His head crowned with thorns? Do you know how much Jesus loves us – that He died – He died for me.
10. Jesus: I call you, My beloved ones, to love God and love one another.

Guiding Light
- Reflect on the Word
Guiding Light homily series - Reflect on the Word - Cycle
B — The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and
reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal
concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a
sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this
day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We
believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as
priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and
Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our
congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand.

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15 | ||
|
Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15 |
Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15 |
