Prayer for Grace for our Country
Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.
September 23, 2017
R. God is with us!
We are to be good!
Obey God's laws!
Grow in our relationship with God –
Grow in our relationship with others –
GRATITUDE!!
Lead –
We think of Moses and his
faithfulness to God. He was only
one man, but he walked by faith.
Look at his faith – all the way
to the crossing of the Red Sea.
In this last hurricane – we were
worried about Irma and the water
they said was sucked out of the
bay. I know the Jesus and Mary
water have brought down
much help in healings and
spraying with holy water for
disasters.
God gives us the commandments
for happy and healthy living.
God created us and we are His
creatures and we are under Him.
God wants us to be obedient to
Him. God has the Plan. God
made us for a purpose. We have
to go to God to be fearless soldiers
in this struggle we are facing.
God is Almighty – God has all
the power.
We see the saving power
in God in helping the Chosen
People be rescued from slavery.
We see the angel of death passed
over the homes with blood
on the door-post –
We see the relationship between
God and His people deepen when
they were obedient to God and
how they were dependent on God.
We have responsibilities in
our lives, we are accountable for
our actions before God. We are to
bear witness of God's love and
life in us – in this life and
make a difference in our
lives by doing God's will for
future generations – God gives
us His law to obey and this is
how we can attain happiness
and peace inside. God
is with us, now. God loves
us. God takes care of us.
We are to love God with our
whole heart, our whole soul
and our whole being and love
our neighbor as ourselves. What
we do has consequences. We effect
the Church, the world, others' lives
by how we act. People should
see us being witnesses of Christ.
We just celebrated the Sorrowful
Mother Feast and the Triumph
of the Cross.
God helped men at the time
of Moses. He told Moses to make
a bronze serpent and put it on
a pole. The people who were
bitten by deadly snakes were
healed when they looked upon
the bronze serpent.
Jesus came and He lived,
walked the earth, taught,
worked miracles and died for
our sins on the cross. Jesus
is our Savior
Song: A Song from Jesus
R. Look at Moses who obeyed
God – Look at the journey
of the chosen people –
Moses was a just leader.
Leaders have to say "yes" and
they are to be pure to help the
people – Leaders such as
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob,
Joseph, Moses were acting
in God's name for the good
of the people. They gave
themselves in love – These
leaders sent by God to us
doing God's work should be
respected for their justice and
loyalness to God acting in
obedience. Only the devil wants
to tear down good leaders of God.
The devil wants to tear - apart –
destroy and bring down people
who sacrifice to do the work
of God.
We should see good leaders
and their qualities and
learn from men who are
serving God and building the
Kingdom of God.
We see the bondage of oppressive
power by the Pharaoh at the time
of Moses. He used the Israelites
for slaves because he wanted
all the power for himself – to be
honored and worshipped and
do what he wanted in his palaces.
God's love is powerful. When
we live by God's plan in obedience
we receive grace to help us to
heal and do what God wants
of us.
We must co-operate with this
grace. It is God's plan for us
to do His will and use our talents as
He wants. We see God helping
the people in the Old Testament and we
know God does not abandon us
and is helping us today.
We must trust God and
have faith in God.
R. Here are 2 leaders for us –
priests who have helped us –
on their ordination cards it
says
"Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I
place my trust in Thee"
We see the Passover meal and
the Passover Event and what it
meant to the chosen
people of God.
We see the sacred meal –
the Mass and what the
Eucharist means to us today –
From the Priestly Newsletter
Through the Eucharistic Sacrifice Christ the Lord desired to set before us in a very special way this remarkable union whereby we are united one with another and with our divine Head, a union that no word of praise can ever sufficiently express. For in this sacrifice the sacred ministers act not only as the representative of our Saviour, but as the representative of the whole Mystical Body and of each one of the faithful. Again, in this act of sacrifice, the faithful of Christ, united by the common bond of devotion and prayer, offer to the eternal Father through the hands of the priest, whose prayer alone has made it present on the altar, the Immaculate Lamb, the most acceptable victim of praise and propitiation for the Churchs universal need. Moreover, just as the divine Redeemer, while dying on the Cross, offered Himself to the eternal Father as Head of the whole human race, so now, in this clean oblation He not only offers Himself as Head of the Church to His heavenly Father but in Himself His mystical members as well. He embraces them all, yes, even the weaker and more ailing members, with the deepest love of His Heart. (Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis AAS. XXXV, 232-233)
R. The Jewish people celebrate
the Passover today.
Moses was a great leader –
Moses led them out of Egypt –
We see the Mass. We have
a new Covenant in Jesus Christ,
our Savior.
God chooses us to help
people. Look at what Moses
did for the Hebrews –
God loved the Israelites –
We see the plagues God
sent.
The Ten Plagues
The first plague: the water turns to blood
The second plague: the frogs
The third plague: the mosquitoes
The fourth plague: the horseflies
The fifth plague: death of the Egyptians’ livestock
The sixth plague: the boils
The seventh plague: the hail
The eighth plague: the locusts
The ninth plague: the darkness
Announcement of the death of the first–born
R. We see the miracle of the crossing
of the Red Sea.
The Chosen People were slaves
in Egypt and wanted to
be freed.
God sent Moses. Moses
was a great leader.
Today we still must obey
the commandments God
gave to Moses.
God hears our prayers –
The people prayed to God at the time
of Moses and God heard them
and sent Moses.
God used Moses. The people had
to respect God using Moses
or they would not have
been freed.
Moses had to say "yes" –
Moses obeyed God –
Exodus 4: 5
'Thus they may believe that Yahweh, the God of their ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.'
R. We have a mission in this vocation
to help in the renewal of the
Church and the world. Not
only now, but for the future.
We cannot treat human
beings as slaves or objects
for our own desires. We must
be Christ-like to others – to
servants –
We were all created in the
image and likeness of God!!
Exodus 14: 13-14
Moses said to the people, ‘Do not be afraid! Stand firm, and you will see what Yahweh will do to rescue you today: the Egyptians you see today you will never see again. Yahweh will do the fighting for you; all you need to do is to keep calm.’
R. God saved them!
God helped the Israelites to be
freed from slavery –
God saves. Jesus is our
Savior – Jesus saves
us from the slavery of sin –
but we must obey God and
co-operate with the graces
God gives to rescue us and
help us to be set free – We must
do our part –
We see the slavery of the
Israelites – do people dark in
sin and not changing see how they are
acting like the slaves under the
Pharaoh.
Look at the movie Moses –
|
How do men look who just
keep being hateful, hurting
people, serving satan – living
in secrets to trip people up
and destroy – Do such people
see their enslavement at their
own hands to satan?
God is so good. God freed
His chosen people. God gives
us the ability to ask for forgiveness
and mercy with a contrite heart –
but we can act like the Pharaoh
holding on to sin and darkness
here on the journey of life and
ignoring the plagues we may
suffer to lead us home to Him.
The Pharaoh was obstinate!
Jesus came and died and rose!
Death / Resurrection – the
Pascal mystery.
The Resurrection is Victory.
Victory for us from sin and
death –
1 Corinthians 15: 20-28
In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first–fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first–fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.
1 Corinthians 15: 54-55
And after this perishable nature has put on imperishability and this mortal nature has put on immortality, then will the words of scripture come true: Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is your victory? Death where is your sting? Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?
Song: Glory, Glory, Glory Lord
A Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
Let me be a holy sacrifice and unite with God in the sacrament of His greatest love.
I want to be one in Him in this act of love, where He gives Himself to me and I give myself as a sacrifice to Him. Let me be a holy sacrifice as I become one with Him in this my act of greatest love to Him.
Let me unite with Him more, that I may more deeply love Him. May I help make reparation to His adorable Heart and the heart of His Mother, Mary. With greatest love, I offer myself to You and pray that You will accept my sacrifice of greatest love. I give myself to You and unite in Your gift of Yourself to me. Come and possess my soul.
Cleanse me, strengthen me, heal me. Dear Holy Spirit act in the heart of Mary to make me more and more like Jesus.
Father, I offer this my sacrifice, myself united to Jesus in the Holy Spirit to You. Help me to love God more deeply in this act of my greatest love.
Give me the grace to grow in my knowledge, love and service of You and for this to be my greatest participation in the Mass. Give me the greatest graces to love You so deeply in this Mass, You who are so worthy of my love.
-Mass Book, December 27, 1995
Morning Offering
My dear Father, I offer You this day all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings, my every breath, my every heartbeat, my every thought, all my actions, in union with Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in the Holy Spirit. I pray the Holy Spirit is with me every second today, enlightening me to do the Will of the Father and filling me with the fire of God's love.
I ask Jesus and Mary to be one in me in all that I do and I unite with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory to pray continually to the Father for these intercessions, in this prayer, for this day.
For myself, I pray for grace-abundant grace, to know and love God more and more and to follow the Will of the Father. I pray to the Holy Spirit to transform me in the heart of Mary to be more and more like Jesus. I pray that I can forever dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. I pray for conversion of all those I hold dear who need conversion. I pray for each member of my family that they will be filled with Your abundant grace to grow in their knowledge and love of God.
I pray for all my friends that they will receive abundant grace to carry out the great plan of the Father, that they will grow forever closer to Jesus' Heart through Mary's heart, that we will all be led by the Holy Spirit to do His work, that we will, together, carry out the plan of the Father as He intends us to, to spread the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary's heart to this world.
Jesus, I pray for myself so the Holy Spirit descends upon me and opens my heart to Your love so I will grow more and more deeply in union with You. I pray that I do not worry what other people think but try always to please the Father and do His Will. I pray that I may help lead many to Your burning love.
I pray for the following people in particular that they will be filled with the Spirit and grow deeply in their union with You, that they will receive abundant graces to know, love and serve You more. (Include special friends by name...)
I pray for priests the world over, for the success of the Priestly Newsletter, the Chapters and for the finances needed for the Newsletter. I pray for the circulation of the Blue Book messages, rosary meditations and tapes. I pray for all those involved in the publication of these messages.
I pray that You will shower Your abundant graces onto the priests reading the Newsletter the people reading and hearing the Blue Book messages and rosary meditations and all of Fr. Carter's publications.
We pray for the intentions we hold deep within our hearts, for our families and friends, for those requesting our prayers. We pray for children the world over and for the souls in purgatory. We ask God to shower His abundant grace on us and the members of our Shepherds of Christ Chapter so that we may grow more and more in our knowledge and love of God.
We consecrate ourselves to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We pray for Father Carter, for Father Smith, for Rita Ring, and for John Weickert, for all leaders and helpers in the Shepherds of Christ Movement, for Shepherds of Christ Ministries, and Our Lady of Light Ministry. We pray for all those who are working in these ministries.
We bind ourselves and our children and our friends to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We place the precious blood of Jesus on ourselves, and all we touch, so that we will be protected from the evil one. We pray to St. Michael to cast the devil into hell.
We love You, God, we love You, we love You. We beg that we may receive the grace to love You more and more deeply. We adore You, we praise You, our beloved Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Prayer for Grace for our Country

We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.
R. God's love is everlasting it
never goes out – like the
burning bush –
It is never consumed!
Watch Movie Moses TONIGHT
R. God fills us. We receive the
sacrament of baptism – a
sharing in God's life and
He feeds that life with
Himself – the Word and
the Eucharist is the bread
of life –
At the time of Moses – God led
them in the desert and
they were hungry and thirsty and
Moses had to deal with this.
Today we are to recognize – we are
never satisfied here – we are
always hungry and thirsty for
the more we were created for
ETERNAL LIFE.
LIFE IS IN GOD
God calls us to an ever
deeper relationship with Him
until, hopefully, we go to
heaven and are full of His life
in heaven.
Jesus came and He showed
us how to live the 10 Commandments.
We are to grow in our image
and likeness of God – we
are to prepare, on this journey,
for our everlasting life
with God in heaven
possessed by God.
Prayer for Union with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.
-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994
R. We love God and praise Him –
we ask for the grace to be
filled more and more abundantly
in Him –
And we are thirsty until
we get to heaven – we are
not satisfied here!!!
When we suffer like they suffered
we should learn that God helps
us prepare for eternal life
in suffering.
Jesus gives us the Church –
Jesus gives us baptism –
Jesus gives us the Scriptures
Jesus gives us the Eucharist
Matthew 22: 34-40
‘Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.’
R. The chosen people suffered – they
had to be in the desert 40 years,
40 days and nights and they suffered
hunger and thirst –
Does this remind us of our
life here?
We must trust and
love and prepare here
for heaven –
This is not the end –
We are members of our Father's
family –
God has used water to bring
purification – Water in baptism –
water when He flooded the
earth –
CLEAR - WATER
R. We see how God saved
His chosen people by the
waters of the Red Sea –
From the 3rd Sunday of Lent
John 4: 4-42
He had to pass through Samaria. On the way he came to the Samaritan town called Sychar near the land that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there and Jesus, tired by the journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour. When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, ‘Give me something to drink.’ His disciples had gone into the town to buy food. The Samaritan woman said to him, ‘You are a Jew. How is it that you ask me, a Samaritan, for something to drink?’—Jews, of course, do not associate with Samaritans. Jesus replied to her:
If you only knew what God is offering
and who it is that is saying to you,
‘Give me something to drink,’
you would have been the one to ask,
and he would have given you living water.‘You have no bucket, sir,’ she answered, ‘and the well is deep: how do you get this living water? Are you a greater man than our father Jacob, who gave us this well and drank from it himself with his sons and his cattle?’ Jesus replied:
Whoever drinks this water
will be thirsty again;
but no one who drinks the water
that I shall give
will ever be thirsty again:
the water that I shall give
will become a spring of water within,
welling up for eternal life.‘Sir,’ said the woman, ‘give me some of that water, so that I may never be thirsty or come here again to draw water.’ ‘Go and call your husband,’ said Jesus to her, ‘and come back here.’ The woman answered, ‘I have no husband.’ Jesus said to her, ‘You are right to say, "I have no husband"; for although you have had five, the one you now have is not your husband. You spoke the truth there.’ ‘I see you are a prophet, sir,’ said the woman. ‘Our fathers worshipped on this mountain, though you say that Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.’ Jesus said:
Believe me, woman, the hour is coming
when you will worship the Father
neither on this mountain
nor in Jerusalem.
You worship what you do not know;
we worship what we do know;
for salvation comes from the Jews.
But the hour is coming—
indeed is already here—
when true worshippers
will worship the Father
in spirit and truth:
that is the kind of worshipper
the Father seeks.
God is spirit,
and those who worship
must worship in spirit and truth. The woman said to him, ‘I know that Messiah—that is, Christ—is coming; and when he comes he will explain everything.’ Jesus said, ‘That is who I am, I who speak to you.’
At this point his disciples returned and were surprised to find him speaking to a woman, though none of them asked, ‘What do you want from her?’ or, ‘What are you talking to her about?’ The woman put down her water jar and hurried back to the town to tell the people, ‘Come and see a man who has told me everything I have done; could this be the Christ?’ This brought people out of the town and they made their way towards him.
Meanwhile, the disciples were urging him, ‘Rabbi, do have something to eat’; but he said, ‘I have food to eat that you do not know about.’ So the disciples said to one another, ‘Has someone brought him food?’ But Jesus said:
My food
is to do the will of the one who sent me,
and to complete his work.
Do you not have a saying:
Four months and then the harvest?
Well, I tell you,
look around you, look at the fields;
already they are white,
ready for harvest!
Already the reaper
is being paid his wages,
already he is bringing in the grain
for eternal life,
so that sower and reaper
can rejoice together.
For here the proverb holds true:
one sows, another reaps;
I sent you to reap
a harvest you have not laboured for.
Others have laboured for it;
and you have come
into the rewards of their labour. Many Samaritans of that town believed in him on the strength of the woman’s words of testimony, ‘He told me everything I have done.’ So, when the Samaritans came up to him, they begged him to stay with them. He stayed for two days, and many more came to believe on the strength of the words he spoke to them; and they said to the woman, ‘Now we believe no longer because of what you told us; we have heard him ourselves and we know that he is indeed the Saviour of the world.’
John 19: 34
one of the soldiers pierced his side with a lance; and immediately there came out blood and water.
R. We see the Blood and water flowed
out of Christ's pierced Heart –
Water for Baptism
Blood for the Eucharist.
R. The people complained against Moses
and were unruly –
He was upset and struck
the rock twice for water –
God was not pleased with
his disobedience – we see this.
God wanted obedience from
Moses. God expected obedience
from the chosen people –
God wants obedience
from us. We are here and are
to obey His Law –
The people were to keep the
Covenant God gave to them –
Many worshipped false gods –

Mary: My dear children, I give to you, my Son, Jesus, born in a stable in Bethlehem on Christmas morn. He is the Almighty God, the Light of the World.
I appear to you, my children, on a (former) bank in Florida. You have made money your god! Do you know how cold are your hearts? You turn away from my Son, Jesus, for your money. Your money is your god.
I am Mary, your Mother. I do not appear as I once appeared to you. I am asking you today to circulate my message given on a tape on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, December 12, 1996. Please circulate this tape now. Give it to as many people as you can. I am Mary, your Mother. Please circulate my Rosary Book.

R. Giving into temptation – being
disobedient to God keeps us
distant from God and we
aren't growing in our relationship
with God when we live in
sin and deny it!
Our goal should be heaven.
All of our actions are to
prepare us for eternal life.
We are here to work on our
loving relationships with
God and others –
Thank God for all He gives us.
He gives us our life and food
and drink and each other –
God gives us the Church –
God gives us the Word
God gives us the priest –

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15 |
Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15 |
Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15 |
Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15 |

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD. — Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10 |
