R. Dear God,
Please help the world to do what
you want them to do. I pray that
grace will be outpoured on the
people of the Church and the world
so people will live as You
want them to live.
Dear God I unite to all the
Masses, all day, going around
the world and pray with all
my heart for peace in men's
hearts, to serve You and love
You as You deserve.
Dear God I thank You for
all Your gifts to me and for
all You give to us in this
beautiful world.
Dear God, I pray with all
my heart for the priests, the
Church and the world. Dear
God please hear my humble
prayer.
I pray for all the children
of this world. That they will
be treated as gifts from You and
that they will be loved.
I pray for the safety of children
and for the world to love and
do Your will.
Dear God, I love You and
worship You and I am sorry
for my sins and the sins of
the human race. I ask for
forgiveness and mercy. Dear
God please send your healing
grace to men, especially for
the sake of the children.
Dear God I worship You and
love You, Amen.
John 21:1-14
Later on, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples. It was by the Sea of Tiberias, and it happened like this: Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee and two more of his disciples were together. Simon Peter said, ‘I’m going fishing.’ They replied, ‘We’ll come with you.’ They went out and got into the boat but caught nothing that night.
When it was already light, there stood Jesus on the shore, though the disciples did not realise that it was Jesus. Jesus called out, ‘Haven’t you caught anything, friends?’ And when they answered, ‘No,’ he said, ‘Throw the net out to starboard and you’ll find something.’ So they threw the net out and could not haul it in because of the quantity of fish. The disciple who Jesus loved said to Peter, ‘It is the Lord.’ At these words, ‘It is the Lord,’ Simon Peter tied his outer garment round him (for he had nothing on) and jumped into the water. The other disciples came on in the boat, towing the net with the fish; they were only about a hundred yards from land.
As soon as they came ashore they saw that there was some bread there and a charcoal fire with fish cooking on it. Jesus said, ‘Bring some of the fish you have just caught.’ Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net ashore, full of big fish, one hundred and fifty-three of them; and in spite of there being so many the net was not broken. Jesus said to them ‘Come and have breakfast.’ None of the disciples was bold enough to ask, ‘Who are you?’ They knew quite well it was the Lord. Jesus then stepped forward, took the bread and gave it to them, and the same with the fish. This was the third time that Jesus revealed himself to the disciples after rising from the dead.
Vigil of Pentecost
- May 26, 2007 (excerpt of Homily)...When most people think of the Spirit, they think of the personal gifts the Spirit brings them. Before I studied Scripture in the Seminary, the only time I ever thought of the Spirit was when I had to pass an exam. But that’s only one of the functions of the Spirit, the Spirit of truth, a term for the Spirit that Jesus uses. But there are many other gifts the Spirit brings. The Spirit helps us in our prayers, St. Paul tells us. (Rom 8, 26) In the letter to the Galatians St. Paul names a variety of blessings the Spirit brings to each of us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Gal. 5,22). Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have all those qualities? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all the people we associate with, if all people in the world, had all these qualities. The Spirit has a lot of work to do.
But the Spirit is interested in more than blessing each of us personally. The Spirit is also a source of life for the Church. Paul tells us the Spirit gives many special gifts to the faith community so it might be well served. Among these gifts are wisdom, faith, healing, the gift of speaking God’s word, the gift of discernment, the gift of helping others, the gift of administration and the gift of being able to council others. (I Cor 12). What gifts has the Spirit given us and how do we use them to serve others. The Spirit helps people do more than pass exams. The Spirit is the “Lord and giver of life” as we profess each week in the Creed. The Spirit is the giver of our spiritual life which will endure forever as well as the giver of life to the Church. There would be no Church without the Spirit.
On this Pentecost, I pray may the Holy Spirit put the finishing touches to our small efforts, to follow Christ faithfully and to bring about a miniature Pentecost in our midst and so renew the face of the earth.

Ephesians 1: 7-14
in whom, through his blood,
we gain our freedom,
the forgiveness of our sins.
Such is the richness of the grace
which he has showered on us
in all wisdom and insight.
He has let us know
the mystery of his purpose,
according to his good pleasure
which he determined beforehand
in Christ,
for him to act upon
when the times had run their course:
that he would bring everything together
under Christ, as head,
everything in the heavens
and everything on earth.
And it is in him
that we have received our heritage,
marked out beforehand as we were,
under the plan of the One
who guides all things
as he decides by his own will,
chosen to be,
for the praise of his glory,
the people who
would put their hopes in Christ
before he came.
Now you too, in him,
have heard the message of the truth
and the gospel of your salvation,
and having put your trust in it
you have been stamped with the seal
of the Holy Spirit of the Promise,
who is the pledge of our inheritance,
for the freedom of the people
whom God has taken for his own,
for the praise of his glory.
Mary: "Focus on Jesus"
R. We are to live our gift given in baptism
as a special calling from God –
We are to take it serious by prayer and
trying to live the Gospel, we are to
study the life of Jesus and do works
of charity toward others in love –
We are to examine our conscience
regularly and make an act of contrition
and have a firm purpose of amendment.
We are to have this purpose
1) to purify our minds and hearts and
our intentions –
2) to strengthen us against temptation.
3) to make decisions to advance in
holiness in the spiritual life –
so we can remain closely united
to Jesus and make greater progress
to love God more –
4) We are to progress in sincere self knowledge
and in true penance – to be honest with
ourselves about our sins –
5) We pray to be healed
6) We pray to be free from the influence
of the devil and effects of sin.
7) We pray to be not negative in mind and
behavior, angry in heart, gloomy
in ways –
but to be likened to Christ more and more
8) We pray to live as a way God wants for
our salvation and to help others to
get to heaven.
9) Jesus should be coming alive more
and more in us, as we live
the Gospel message –
Jesus is our Savior –
Jesus frees us from our sins –
We see the Samarian woman –
Jesus tells her - He has the living water –
Jesus is the head prophet
Jesus is the Messiah
Jesus is the Savior of the world –
10) The only way to deal with sin is to
admit it and do something
about it.
11) Jesus shows us the man born blind –
Jesus is the Son of Man –
Jesus is the Light –
Jesus showed us the blindness
of the Pharisees
Jesus is life –
Jesus rose Lazarus from the dead –
Apostles Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day he arose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven; and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
The Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
R. We have the Rosary to teach us about
the life of Jesus and Mary –
We have the Stations Jesus gave us –
God is with us –
We need union with God –
God is the Savior
Prayer for Union with Jesus
Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.
I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.F
I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.
When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.
-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994
A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul
Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.
R. The Church
We are the Mystical Body of Christ
because of baptism and
we are united with Christ our head!
The Church is not a building –
not authority alone –
The Church is
Christ and Christians
The Church is Christ and us
united with Him –
John 15: 1-8
I am the true vine,
and my Father is the vinedresser.
Every branch in me that bears no fruit
he cuts away,
and every branch that does bear fruit
he prunes
to make it bear even more.
You are clean already,
by means of the word
that I have spoken to you.
Remain in me, as I in you.
As a branch cannot bear fruit all by itself,
unless it remains part of the vine,
neither can you unless you remain in me.
I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever remains in me, with me in him,
bears fruit in plenty;
for cut off from me you can do nothing.
Anyone who does not remain in me
is thrown away like a branch
—and withers;
these branches are collected
and thrown on the fire
and are burnt.
If you remain in me
and my words remain in you,
you may ask for whatever you please
and you will get it.
It is to the glory of my Father
that you should bear much fruit
and be my disciples.
John 10: 11-15
I am the good shepherd:
the good shepherd lays down his life
for his sheep.
The hired man,
since he is not the shepherd
and the sheep do not belong to him,
abandons the sheep
as soon as he sees a wolf coming,
and runs away,
and then the wolf attacks
and scatters the sheep;
he runs away
because he is only a hired man
and has no concern for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd;
I know my own
and my own know me,
just as the Father knows me
and I know the Father;
and I lay down my life for my sheep.
1 Peter 2: 5
so that you, too, may be living stones making a spiritual house as a holy priesthood to offer the spiritual sacrifices made acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Revelation 21: 1-3; 23
The heavenly Jerusalem
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, ‘Look, here God lives among human beings. He will make his home among them; they will be his people, and he will be their God, God–with–them.
and the city did not need the sun or the moon for light, since it was lit by the radiant glory of God, and the Lamb was a lighted torch for it.
R. The Church is the Spouse of Christ –
The Church is not just
Pope, Cardinals, Bishops,
Priests –
Mystical body –
is a living body whose
life is the life of God –
communicated through
union with Jesus'
body by the Power
of the Holy Spirit –
A body has many parts –
Our job to bring others to God and
to have a deeper life in God –
We are the members of the body of Christ
24/7 – not just in Church –
We should be recognized as members
of the body of Christ in the
world by our love –
This body, the Church, has
structure –
. not a haphazard group
of people
We are to live the mission of
the Church!
And to some, his ‘gift’ was that they should be apostles; to some prophets; to some, evangelists; to some, pastors and teachers; to knit God’s holy people together for the work of service to build up the Body of Christ, until we all reach unity in faith and knowledge of the Son of God and form the perfect Man, fully mature with the fullness of Christ himself.
Then we shall no longer be children, or tossed one way and another, and carried hither and thither by every new gust of teaching, at the mercy of all the tricks people play and their unscrupulousness in deliberate deception. If we live by the truth and in love, we shall grow completely into Christ, who is the head by whom the whole Body is fitted and joined together, every joint adding its own strength, for each individual part to work according to its function. So the body grows until it has built itself up in love.
R. We are teachers, Apostles,

Romans 10: 12
it makes no distinction between Jew and Greek: the same Lord is the Lord of all, and his generosity is offered to all who appeal to him,
Galatians 3: 28
There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither slave nor freeman, there can be neither male nor female — for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
R. We are witnesses to Christ
We bring Christ to others
The Church is
ONE, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic
John 17: 20-23
The prayer of Jesus
I pray not only for these
but also for those
who through their teaching
will come to believe in me.
May they all be one,
just as, Father, you are in me
and I am in you,
so that they also may be in us,
so that the world may believe
it was you who sent me.
I have given them the glory
you gave to me,
that they may be one as we are one.
With me in them and you in me,
may they be so perfected in unity
that the world will recognise
that it was you who sent me
and that you have loved them
as you have loved me.
R. There is unity in Christ
A unity of love –
Unity in believing the same truths –
We have the same sacraments –
The Holy Father is the visible
center of this unity –
Unity among Christ's followers
is far from perfect –
We must pray for unity
1 Corinthians 15: 20-28
In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.
