The Lamb, Jesus Christ
June 12, 1994
R. He is the Lamb. The Father loved us so much He gave His own Son that we might have eternal life. Jesus paid the price of our salvation with His Blood. I see Him accepting all silently, to His death, His head bowed down in quiet acceptance, as a little lamb, not noisy, just complying with the Will of the Father.
He is the unbloody sacrifice in the Mass. He complies totally with the Will of the Father, in silence, with such love for us. This is the gift of the Mass. He gives us His own Body in the Eucharist, out of ardent love for us. He gives us Himself. He wants our love. He wants us to be united in such love with Him. God-made-man gives us His very own life! How do I receive Him Who gives Himself to sinful me with such love? Am I blind to what is transpiring here? Holy Spirit, open me up to know the truth about God. Give me all Your gifts so I can better share in the life of Christ, given to me in the Mass.
