Messenger:         If I only knew he was going to die so soon,
                                I would have enjoyed more the sunny days,
                                the rainy days, the days I was with him.

Jesus speaks:      Life is a precious gift I give you. The deadly
                                disease of cancer comes barreling in the
                                body and soon all the things you counted on
                                do not work the same.
                            Your life here is so short and no matter how
                                many times I tell you or you are reminded
                                of this, you do not understand.
                            Life is so very short for you on earth when
                                compared to eternity.
                            Endure these days with joy knowing the fruits
                                of your labor will soon pay off.
                            I put before you life and death and it
                                isn't like you are measuring it.
                            The focus on the body and weighing every fat
                                gram becomes a burden.
                            So many are so concerned about every speck of
                                fat they eat and then they watch filth on
                                their televisions and they fill their
                                hearts with such garbage and evil.
                            Would that you would worry so for what you
                                put inside of your heart.
                            Would that you would work to spread My
                                Kingdom like you work to spread the
                                greatest news of a new diet.

                            I am a God of justice. The rain comes and
                                waters the earth and the men see the
                                chemical changes in the atmosphere
                                and know the dust circulating in the 
                                air, but they don't see the sign of
                                the times, I cry for your children
                                being poisoned in their minds and hearts
                                with the evil of the world.

                            Would that you would focus on God and His
                                Power.

                             Oh, this season of lent is not a time to turn
                                your minds "more-on" to food, but onto
                                spiritual renewal.

                            There are so many, many books, magazines,
                                talk shows, friends, all to tell you
                                of the body fat, size and shape and
                                you let your spiritual life go.

                            What can I do to reach you?

Messenger:          I remember my dear friend Fr. Carter.
                            To me he was so beautiful. I saw him
                            celebrate the Mass and I was so close
                            to Jesus because of the Mass.

                            He was my spiritual director for a little more 
                                than 6½ years, but it seemed a life-time and
                                look at all that was accomplished.

                            Shepherds of Christ came into being and
                                now all the messages he discerned,
                                all the books he wrote, the Movement
                                he founded, the people he formed,
                                the priests he wrote to as a spiritual
                                father, carry the message he delivered
                                and it is only beginning with the
                                Newsletter going out.

                            I write these writings and the messages not only
                                for the world and Church today, but to last
                                long after I am gone, so the world will
                                prosper more and more making the Sacred
                                Heart of Jesus the King and center
                                of their hearts.

                            Father spent a good part of his life
                                 discerning these writings. They were his
                                 priority. The Priestly Newsletter was
                                 circulated as his top priority and the
                                 major part of his life he spent in
                                 celebrating Mass and the last 7 years of his life 
                                 reviewing these writings for publication so they would
                                 last forever. (He told me in June of 1994, the 
                                 Blue Books were as much mine as yours.)

                            Father gave the last 6½ years of his life
                                to founding the Movement, Jesus told
                                him to begin.

Messenger:         I watched him tie his cincture many times before
                                Mass. I loved to anticipate the Mass.
                            Then I watched him tie it and his stomach was
                                getting bigger and I couldn't understand it
                                because he wasn't eating much anymore,
                                he said he was full almost as soon as he
                                started eating.
                            We always prayed before Mass and I noticed his
                                feet looked big, I thought, "was his feet always
                                that big and I didn't notice it."
                            When he said Mass sometimes he didn't feel good
                                so he felt he couldn't tarry because
                                he wanted to be able to get through it. Sometimes
                                toward the end he would have to sit in the Mass to rest.
                            I just never thought of him as old or sick, he
                                was Father, he was a pillar of strength, I 
                                just didn't think God would take him.

                            He loved every kind of weather, he liked the ride
                                to China, I should say he loved it. He was
                                always so happy to ride there. It gave him
                                great joy, he loved looking at nature and
                                things God made.
                            I just never dreamt he would die and be gone so
                                soon.

Jesus speaks:       I have formed you in this Movement.
                          I am guarding My Movement. I am forming
                             you into greater holiness.
                          I want you to be deep intercessors praying for
                             the priests, the Church and the world.

Messenger:           I loved Father, I never thought of him
                          as old or anything, I saw Father and
                          I loved him. I saw Rose, she was
                          in her eighties, I never saw her as old,
                          she was always Rose and I loved her.

Jesus speaks:       The focus on your physical appearance
                          should be what you need to do, to do 
                          My Father's work. 
                          What is important is that you care for yourself
                              to better serve Me.
                           Some people work out because they want to 
                              have a better body. All things must be done
                              in moderation according to God's will.

                        A lady's story-
                            My son worked on his body and his yard
                                and he only focused on these
                                things, the things that would make
                                him more popular here and better liked.
                            On August 1, 1986 he was in a car wreck
                                and died.

Jesus speaks:          I account this story for you.
                            Time here is very short.
                            The good you do will long live after you.

                            Oh if I could make you understand.
                                Eternity is so very very long...never ending
                                    and your life here is so very, very short.

                            The hands you touch, the words you speak,
                                the love you give lives on and on and
                                on in the hearts of those you loved.

                            Pray hard now, your life is but a passing
                                time, quickly it passes, like one winter
                                turn into spring and then summer and
                                then autumn and then again another
                                winter, another spring, another day
                                until finally . . . .
                                    the flowers fade —> they bloom,
                                        they have their day —> then they
                                           are laid to rest — old vegetation,
                                                dried up debris.

                            To you, I give a soul.

                            To a man, Fr. Edward Carter, I gave a message —
                                he did as I told him to do. Today you 
                                reap the benefits of his labor.

                            There was one man who helped to get this Newsletter
                                Book II on the way, he gave and gave and 
                                gave and to his brother too, My son,
                                you will never ever know the hearts that
                                will know the effects of this mailing.

                            This is My Gift to this earth, to My beloved
                                Priests, with your prayers the whole
                                earth could be affected.

                            I wrote this book through My beloved priest,
                                son, Rev Edward Carter S.J.

                            Thank God for the help you have now.

                            I have given this Movement the care of 
                                a beautiful priest to serve and 
                                help you, My chosen ones, do

    Shortly before he was to die from cancer, Joseph Cardinal Bernardin left us these inspiring words about peace: "It is the first day of November, and fall is giving way to winter. Soon the trees will lose the vibrant colors of their leaves and snow will cover the ground. The earth will shut down, and people will race to and from their destinations bundled up for warmth. Chicago winters are harsh. It is a time of dying.

    "But we know that spring will soon come with all its new life and wonder.

    "It is quite clear that I will not be alive in the spring. But I will soon experience new life in a different way...

    "What I would like to leave behind is a simple prayer that each of you may find what I have found—God's special gift to us all: the gift of peace. When we are at peace, we find the freedom to be most fully who we are, even in the worst of times. We let go of what is non-essential and embrace what is essential. We empty ourselves so that God may more fully work within us. And we become instruments in the hands of the Lord."³

It is a special gift of God's love to the Church.

To whom it may concern,
  

    We circulate the Priestly Newsletter that goes to 75,000 priests in the world. This has been circulated since 1994 at the direction of Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. who had a doctorate in Theology and taught at Xavier University for over thirty years and author of eighteen books on the spiritual life and many other various publications.

    Our primary purpose is to circulate this Newsletter. We are now sending three years of Newsletters in a book of 342 pages to 75,000 priests in the United States and 90 foreign countries. A special Newsletter is enclosed with Father Carter's powerful writing on Grace (2001 issue 1). This writing is also available on tape and on disc.

    Our coequal purpose is to circulate prayer manuals Father Carter compiled for prayer chapters praying for the priests, the Church and
the world.

    All of our printing and postage costs so much money.

    We operate from the Virgin Mary building in Clearwater, Florida, pictures are enclosed. We use the building to spread materials and rosaries
to encourage people to pray for the priests, the Church and the world.

    We also have a church we received from the diocese in China, Indiana where we distribute our materials and pray before the Blessed Sacrament hourly and about two hours or more at 6:20 every day. Monthly adoration before the exposed Eucharist is held for our members for 48 hours on the 12th of each month to the 14th.

    We have a third center in Morrow, Ohio which is our communication center and mailing address.

    We circulate rosaries handmade to Catholic schools all over the United States and meditation sheets and consecration cards. We try to send scapulars too when we have them. We supply many beads to our rosary makers for this.

    We had difficulty all last summer securing funds for beads for our rosary makers. We were not able to send the 100,000 or more rosaries we usually send in October and May because of funds.

    We need $10,000 every month for the loan on the Virgin Mary building. We pray nightly there usually for about two hours or more at 6:20. We pray all through the day there, hourly, many times before the image. A big prayer meeting is held on the 5th of the month. Prayers are prayed for about 4 hours for the priests, the Church and the world. We broadcast to at least 8 states and all join in the prayers, including Morrow and China.

    We have a nursing home ministry and a prison ministry. We supply coloring books of the rosary mysteries and the Mass to children.

    We desperately need funds for the printing and the rosary making operation and all the postage. Bishops from foreign countries beg for rosaries and prayer sheets with the Shepherds of Christ Prayers.

    Now we are struggling with the monthly rent on the building and the postage for the foreign mailing of the Priestly Newsletter Book II.

    We always need money for the rosary beads for the schools and the Virgin Mary building.

    We also do a Holy Spirit Novena, but the little book has been out of print for some time because of lack of funds. Teachers like to use it for confirmation. We have prayer chapters using it daily all over the world.

    We want to circulate pictures of the crucifix and Mary's image on the building, we are unable to do this because of lack of funds. Enclosed are pictures of the crucifix and the Virgin Mary building.

    A very important part of our Movement is trying to get people to say the Morning Offering. Here is a card we distribute extensively, especially to Nursing Homes and school children.

    Can you help us. It is a real shame to not even have rent on the building Mary appears on.

    We need to tell the world about the Mass. This is another important aspect of our ministry. We have so many writings about the Mass. Mass Book I with the Imprimatur—and all Fr. Carter's writings and many other writings discerned by Fr Carter before his death. 

    It is a shame with all the money in the world not to be able to get the rosary beads to the rosary makers for school children who want them to pray the rosary.

    Our movement is trying to do what Our Lady told us to do at Fatima for peace in the world.
