Messenger: I had an experience of the sufferings
and joys of Mary under the cross once at
Holy Cross-Immaculata.
Oh the heart of Mary so many faceted,
I knew the pain of Mary to see the mistreatment
of her Son, the pain of Mary to know
that so many souls would be lost despite
His suffering, the anguish of the Mother's
heart, but knowing as Mary knew the joy
of those who would be saved — this experience
was in September, 1995 while I was on retreat,
but the knowledge of the dimension of
Mary's heart is planted deep in my heart.
Knowledge of insight into the mysteries,
meditation on the lives of Jesus and Mary,
the Rosary, the Stations, the Seven Sorrows
are our friends.
Death - Resurrection, there is no escape
from this here on earth; we suffer, we can
be brought to greater life in Him.
My life unfolds every day, every moment,
we can never live the moments again, but we
will be held accountable for how we spent
our moments. We live one moment at a time —
time continually passes and we say yes to
every moment. We have a free will.
In many dysfunctional families people have
been taught to hide the truth — they may say
"Oh daddy isn't really addicted to alcohol, he
is sick and needs to unwind and relax."
The excuses for why someone continues
destructive behavior go on and on, but
the bottom line is the truth is blocked.
What is truth?
I find truth in Jesus.
I know truth in His word.
I know God has given us the commandments
to live by.
I know truth in the Catholic Church.
That doesn't mean that all people or priests
in the Catholic Church are right.
Individuals sin, but I find truth in
the Catholic Church.
We can see a family, a very nice family, but
every one has a free will. One of the members
of the family may become very willful
and wayward, that does not reflect
all the people of the family. However
what one person does affects the whole
family. One hurting member can hurt all
the members of the family by their sorted
ways.
I want to speak about the twelve steps for
I see some similarity in them with St. Ignatius
Exercises.
The Jesuits required the priests examine
their conscience two times a day. Fr. Carter
stopped twice a day and made his 10
minute examine and always told me in
confession to be sorry for all the sins of
my past life.
In the twelve steps, the people admit
their life has become unmanageable,
they know that God (or their higher power)
can heal them, they want to do God's will
and they make a fearless inventory.
In St. Ignatius Exercises we recognize
we do everything for the honor and glory of God.
Those doing the exercises is striving
to do God's will, but the examination
of conscience St. Ignatius speaks of
reminds me of the fearless inventory.
The ones who work the twelve steps
and again I'm not saying everyone who
does lives in the truth — but the program
is there, the twelve steps, to help one
be truthful with themselves.
In the 12 step program one must
look back over their life, telling the
truth about how they have sinned
and making amends to those who they
have hurt, except when doing so could
hurt people worse.
The twelve steps are based in reliance
on God and being truthful to oneself —
living according to God's will and wanting
to do God's will.
Those in a twelve step program are what
is called — in recovery.
This is to fearlessly look at ones sins
and to tell the truth, not to blame others
or oneself, but to tell the truth.
In the fearless inventory they tell
someone else.
It is important that we see even though
we sin, we are still accepted and loved.
Judas thought his sin was unforgivable.
Christ the new Adam, all perfect, comes
and shows us how to be.
He is gentle, loving and giving.
Many are hard and too prideful to
say they are sorry when they do
things wrong. They keep lying to
themselves and blaming others.
A person in recovery tells the truth,
they are humble, they want to make
amends when they have hurt someone,
but they do not live under the false
pretense they are perfect.
We are all imperfect.
The world wants us to act perfect, smell perfect,
look perfect —
God wants us to tell the truth —
"Forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass
against us."
Some people then begin to blame themselves
for everything.
Abusers, people who abuse others, try to
hurt others and make others responsible for
their bad moods and actions. Many times
they berate one individual always
blaming them for things which are not
bad things that they did at all.
The other if in a close relationship with
an abuser can suffer tremendous pain.
They abused Christ and He was God.
They put Him to death.
Sometimes some people will be shining
and looking good and a jealous
or ill-tempered person talks about
them and tells things about the other
that aren't true, tainting someone's
reputation and spreading lies.
Being a victim as a child in a dysfunctional
home is not the crime for the person
who was victimized — but it is wrong
if they continue to victimize others
life-long because of their early
victimization.
We are responsible what we
do to others. We must pray to be
truthful, to see our faults, to be
sorry when we sin and hurt others
because of our sins and tell others
when we have offended them because
of our sins.
A parent may have to correct a
child because of behavior that is not
good behavior and the child may
feel hurt. A parent still must correct
the child.
Some who go to Church may continually
wear alluring clothes etc. The priest
must address issues that need to be
addressed even if the parties are hurt or
angry they were corrected. Keeping
everybody happy is not the issue. The
issue is doing what is right.
The devil works through things
in the world — Mary said in a message
what is right, many times in movies,
is made wrong and what is wrong
is made to appear right.
For example this is contrary thinking —
In the movies a prostitute is made
"cute looking" and has a good life.
In the movies a man lies, but its okay
he is a hero for lying.
Many movies, books, television shows and
the news are twisted this way.
Jesus says
...I am the Way; I am Truth and Life... John 14: 6
Messenger: Some people holler at their spouse and
they think nothing of it, to berate
and scream, bang doors, throw
food etc. — their parents did it —
They think its the way to correct someone.
It may be the way they learned to do things
at home as a child, but it is highly
unacceptable.
Mary and Jesus are our model —
Not the parents in a dysfunctional home.

Messenger: Christ came to this earth a baby.
Christ is the New Adam.
Jesus Christ is all perfect.
Jesus Christ is God.
Mary was conceived Immaculate.
Mary is the New Eve.
Look at all the sin of men.
Think of the struggle of many of the
old testament.
Envy, pride
Think of the stories of
Adam and Eve; Cain and Abel;
Think of all the sin in the men since
Adam and Eve.
Think of all the patterned behavior that
was passed down and hurt ourselves
and others.
How will this all get straightened out?
How do we act purely?
Our journey here is to be more perfected
like Christ. To let go of attachments that
keep us from growing in this union with
God.
Some people you cannot correct without
them trying to punish the ones in authority.
It is difficult to be in authority and tell people
what needs to be done to accomplish a goal
when those underneath can try to work
sometimes and then decide to not do the job
other times as a punishing feature when they
wish they were the ones in authority instead
of those over them.
The baby is born pure and then people
begin to interact with the baby. The
parents are the teachers, today there is so
much day-care while mothers and fathers
work. The teacher, teaches what they believe
to be true whether it is true or not.
The movies for young children teach some
very wrong things. Little ones are being
taught all day in some homes by the
television and VCR or video games.
Trying to punish the leader by not
doing a good job hurts the institution.
If God calls someone to a particular
state in life, the person must realize
that obedience to the superiors is far
better than a lot of good works they
may do which is not their job.
People want to be in control. Those in
religious life put themselves under the
authority of the order. Priests are under
the pope and under their bishops.
A Religious organization works for a
common goal and many orders take
vows of poverty, chastity and obedience.
Jesus speaks: Being a celibate for My religious helps make
reparation to My Heart for all the souls
that are sinful sexually.
Parents teach children how to act. If they give the
responsibility to others to raise their
children, the top concern should be
how will they attempt to mold their
minds and live in the truth. If the
day care is not geared to teaching
the truth another source should be
sought.
You can see how children can catch
infections from one another, why is
it so hard to see how some children
in day care and leaders could poison
the very young mind. The beginning
years of a child's life are so very
important. Many mothers stay close to
their children by nursing the children.
This is a special bond between mother
and child, it helps to provide the child
with the tender loving embrace of
their natural mother. It is a gift I give
to mother and child.

Jesus speaks: Mary Smith went to the day care and
saw how tenderly the ladies were caring
for the babies there. They only had a few
children and they were focused on teaching
the children about God.
Judy Jones went to the day-care and
the children were not changed and fed
properly, the leader was rough with
the children, other children poked and
hit the smaller ones, some pulled toys
right away and the little ones had to
learn to fight back. Crying was
ignored. She believed children should
"fight-it-out" to learn.
Little babies need to learn love
first. They need the arms of a loving
parent or care taker, they aren't
ready at one or two to fight a "bully"
child of four or five. Judy said she
prayed about the situation. But I say the
situation was not prudent.
Mary Ann Right worked part time,
her mother, sister and friends helped
watch the children, her husband spent
many hours when he wasn't at work
watching the children. The children
learned the same ideals as the parents.
Sue decided to stay with the children.
They were four and two and she wanted
to be with them. She sacrificed other
extra things to stay home.
I tell you the first six years of
a child's life are so important. They
are little but learning very
quickly about the truth. They have
very keen minds. These years form those
beginning-years of the child's life.
Jesus Is Lost, In the Temple
Imagine the sufferings in Mary's heart when she realized the child Jesus was not with them. Think of how it would be to lose your child and not know where he was or if anything happened to him. With sorrow in their hearts, Mary and Joseph returned to Jerusalem to look for the child Jesus. And a sword, too, shall pierce your heart, O Mary!

Jesus among the doctors of the Law
Every year his parents used to go to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up for the feast as usual. When the days of the feast were over and they set off home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without his parents knowing it. They assumed he was somewhere in the party, and it was only after a day’s journey that they went to look for him among their relations and acquaintances. When they failed to find him they went back to Jerusalem looking for him everywhere.
It happened that, three days later, they found him in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions; and all those who heard him were astounded at his intelligence and his replies. They were overcome when they saw him, and his mother said to him, ‘My child, why have you done this to us? See how worried your father and I have been, looking for you.’ He replied, ‘Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?’ But they did not understand what he meant.

Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem
Jesus speaks: The women came to Me with their children, their tender hearts crying and wanting to comfort Me. I saw their love, their care. I saw the coldness of men's hearts for all time, the hatred, the anger, the sins, all the souls that, despite all of My sufferings and death, would be condemned to eternal damnation. I told the women to weep not for Me, but for themselves and their children. My greatest agonies were the agonies of My Most Sacred Heart. Oh, how I love you!

A City on a Hill Shines to the World

Jesus: I am the light of the world. A city on a hill will shine to the world. You at the Center will be this city when you are filled to the brim with the love of Jesus. What power, what might, to have each person a personal spouse of Jesus Christ! This is the light to the darkened world. The love of Jesus radiates from the very being of those who love Him. What light when all together are lifted by His love abounding deep within their breasts!
I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. My life is the life inside that cannot be contained. It is bursting and budding forth. My life is the real life. To possess the life of Christ within your breast! Such power! I am the city set on a hill that will stand united and shine to this world. You at this Center will be this city. You will be the true Center that places the mark on this world.
The love of Christ, abounding deep within the breasts of all, will be the power and the might. Pray the Prayer for Union with Jesus. I will operate in the hearts of all there and minister to My sick world. I am the Heart of Jesus. I am on fire with love of each and every soul. When My love is found in all the hearts there, the light of God will shine to this world!
You are the city, set on a hill, that shines to the darkened world. I will light the world with the love of Jesus that shines in the hearts of those who are fed there. My light is so bright. My power is endless. You are the light to the dark world. You contain the mighty medicine to bring My sick ones to Me. You will bring so many back to Me and My intense love, burning so brightly for all!
I am the power. I am the might. He who abides in Me will have the light of life. I give Myself to you that you will live. You will radiate My presence from your very being. My light is the brightest light. I will live in the hearts of all who come to you for their feeding. Enkindle in them the love for My most Sacred Heart. It is on fire for love of you. It cannot be contained. It will live in all hearts who come to you to be fed.
You are the key to enkindle this burning love of Jesus in the hearts of so many. Many will know Jesus through your love of Me. Read these letters every day for I am truly speaking to you here. I love each child so dearly and want to have an intimate union with that child. Teach all about the burning love of Jesus. Read My messages with your heart on fire so you can tell all of My ardent love for them.
I long to be close to them. I am a person. I am God, on fire for love of My people. Bring all to the ardent love of Jesus. Mary is by My side constantly. Where I am, she is there. She wants all to be led to My ardent, longing love. Teach all about My love. Fill them so they are overflowing in their hearts. This is the mighty medicine. It is My letter of intense, ardent love for My people.
I am truly here, little ones. I am Jesus, Son of the Living God. I will live strongly in the hearts of all who come to you. You will be the key. Focus on your intense love of Me. Read My letters as a cookbook for intimacy with Me. My love waits for each person and I tell you here how to be close to Me. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus on fire for love of you. I am longing for you to come and be with Me in silence. I will give you all you need.
I am the Alpha. I am the Omega. I am your all. I am God, one, true and magnificent, and I come to you with ardent love in Holy Communion and in the tabernacle. I am present, Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity. I am waiting. Our love affair waits and it depends on you. I am there and I am waiting. You keep us apart.
Tell them how I long for them and have all they need. The love of Christ will light their city. You will stand as the lighted city in darkness. My love will be that by which you light this dark world. Oh, such power, such might! The love of God will reign in the hearts of all you touch. You are My vessel to draw this world to the love of Jesus.
Read and study My letters and be taught about My ardent love. I am Jesus Christ and I am teaching you about My love on fire for all. Come and be powered by the hand of God. My love will rock the world off its rocker when it reigns in the hearts of those who come to you. I love you so! You are My beloved. I will use you to light My dark world. You will shine as candles in the darkest night and you will be the instruments I use to light their wicks. I am God and I love them so dearly!
This is My love for all. Power and might will shine forth on the land. I am the brightest light. Look into the light for the light. Look into the arms of Jesus. I will light this world through you. Alleluia. And the angels sang and the choirs of heaven were heard for the earth proclaimed the Love of Jesus. Alleluia

A Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
Let me be a holy sacrifice and unite with God in the sacrament of His greatest love.
I want to be one in Him in this act of love, where He gives Himself to me and I give myself as a sacrifice to Him. Let me be a holy sacrifice as I become one with Him in this my act of greatest love to Him.
Let me unite with Him more, that I may more deeply love Him. May I help make reparation to His adorable Heart and the heart of His Mother, Mary. With greatest love, I offer myself to You and pray that You will accept my sacrifice of greatest love. I give myself to You and unite in Your gift of Yourself to me. Come and possess my soul.
Cleanse me, strengthen me, heal me. Dear Holy Spirit act in the heart of Mary to make me more and more like Jesus.

Prayer for Priests "Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the Flock, we pray that in the great love and mercy of Your Sacred Heart You attend to all the needs of Your priest-shepherds throughout the world. We ask that You draw back to Your Heart all those priests who have seriously strayed from Your path, that You rekindle the desire for holiness in the hearts of those priests who have become lukewarm, and that You continue to give Your fervent priests the desire for the highest holiness. A message for the
Earth from Jesus
January 22, 1998
My promise is this to you My beloved earth: When you give your heart to Me and spread the devotion to My Sacred Heart, I will write your name in My Heart. I promise to give the greatest graces when you pray these prayers for renewal of the Church and the world and take all who pray them deeply into My Heart. The prayers I give will bring about the reign of My Sacred Heart and the triumph of Mary’s Immaculate Heart. I am Jesus Christ, this is My message of January 22, 1998, Please circulate this message to your world. I am the Good Shepherd, I know Mine and Mine know Me and they follow Me. Grace My Shepherds, I will give you the greatest graces for spreading these words to this earth and to your Church. I love you, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of Man, it is the Plan of the Father that Prayer Chapters are begun immediately and the Priestly Newsletter is given to all priests. The Voice of the Good Shepherd speaks through it.

Message from Jesus: "Peace will abound when nations, churches, families and individuals are consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary."
"Fr. Carter is a pillar of light to the dark world. This is the explanation of the photo. It is through him, I will turn darkness to light. Circulate this message with the picture. Encourage all to consecrate their hearts to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to join the Shepherds of Christ Chapters, and the Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Movement to pray for your Church and your world. This is My Movement for renewal of the Church and the world, based in consecration, joining your every act to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying the rosary, and making reparation to Our Hearts, especially on First Fridays and First Saturdays. It is through your prayers and sacrifices many souls will be helped to be saved. Grace will flow from those whose hearts are consecrated to Our Hearts and the fire of My Love will light up this darkened world."

of Shepherds of Christ Associates:"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.
"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.
"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. Chapter Meeting Prayer Format
The prayer format below should be followed at chapter meetings of Shepherds of Christ Associates. All prayers, not just those said specifically for priests, should include the intention of praying for all the needs of priests the world over.
1. Hymns. Hymns may be sung at any point of the prayer part of the meeting.
2. Holy Spirit Prayer. Come, Holy Spirit, almighty Sanctifier, God of love, who filled the Virgin Mary with grace, who wonderfully changed the hearts of the apostles, who endowed all Your martyrs with miraculous courage, come and sanctify us. Enlighten our minds, strengthen our wills, purify our consciences, rectify our judgment, set our hearts on fire, and preserve us from the misfortunes of resisting Your inspirations. Amen.
3. The Rosary.
4. Salve Regina. "Hail Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, our mourning, our weeping in this vale of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary."
5. The Memorare. "Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but, in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen."
6. Seven Hail Marys in honor of the Seven Sorrows of Mary. Mary has promised very special graces to those who do this on a daily basis. Included in the promises of Our Lady for those who practice this devotion is her pledge to give special assistance at the hour of death, including the sight of her face. The seven sorrows are:
(1) The first sorrow: the prophecy of Simeon (Hail Mary).
(2) The second sorrow: the flight into Egypt (Hail Mary).
(3) The third sorrow: the loss of the Child Jesus in the temple (Hail Mary).
(4) The fourth sorrow: Jesus and Mary meet on the way to the cross (Hail Mary).
(5) The fifth sorrow: Jesus dies on the cross (Hail Mary).
(6) The sixth sorrow: Jesus is taken down from the cross and laid in Mary's arms (Hail Mary).
(7) The seventh sorrow: the burial of Jesus (Hail Mary).

8. Prayer to St. Joseph. St. Joseph, guardian of Jesus and chaste spouse of Mary, you passed your life in perfect fulfillment of duty. You supported the Holy Family of Nazareth with the work of your hands. Kindly protect those who trustingly turn to you. You know their aspirations, their hardships, their hopes; and they turn to you because they know you will understand and protect them. You too have known trial, labor, and weariness. But, even amid the worries of material life, your soul was filled with deep peace and sang out in true joy through intimacy with the Son of God entrusted to you, and with Mary, His tender Mother. Promises of Our Lord to those devoted to His Sacred Heart
(these should be read by the prayer leader):
(1) I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.
(2) I will establish peace in their homes.
(3) I will comfort them in all their afflictions.
(4) I will be their refuge during life and above all in death.
(5) I will bestow a large blessing on all their undertakings.
(6) Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.
(7) Tepid souls shall grow fervent.
(8) Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.
(9) I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored.
(10) I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.
(11) Those who promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.
(12) I promise you in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the first Friday in nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their sacraments; My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.
10. Prayer for Priests. "Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the Flock, we pray that in the great love and mercy of Your Sacred Heart You attend to all the needs of Your priest-shepherds throughout the world. We ask that You draw back to Your Heart all those priests who have seriously strayed from Your path, that You rekindle the desire for holiness in the hearts of those priests who have become lukewarm, and that You continue to give Your fervent priests the desire for the highest holiness. United with Your Heart and Mary's Heart, we ask that You take this petition to Your heavenly Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen"
11. Prayer for all members of the Shepherds of Christ Associates. "Dear Jesus, we ask Your special blessings on all members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. Continue to enlighten them regarding the very special privilege and responsibility you have given them as members of Your movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates. Draw them ever closer to Your Heart and to Your Mother's Heart. Allow them to more and more realize the great and special love of Your Hearts for each of them as unique individuals. Give them the grace to respond to Your love and Mary's love with an increased love of their own. As they dwell in Your Heart and Mary's Heart, abundantly care for all their needs and those of their loved ones. We make our prayer through You to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with Mary our Mother at our side. Amen"
12. Prayer for the spiritual and financial success of the priestly newsletter. "Father, we ask Your special blessings upon the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ. We ask that You open the priest-readers to the graces You wish to give them through this chosen instrument of Your Son. We also ask that You provide for the financial needs of the newsletter and the Shepherds of Christ Associates. We make our prayer through Jesus, in the Holy Spirit, with Mary at our side. Amen"
13. Prayer for all members of the human family. "Heavenly Father, we ask Your blessings on all Your children the world over. Attend to all their needs. We ask Your special assistance for all those marginalized people, all those who are so neglected and forgotten. United with our Mother Mary, we make this petition to You through Jesus and in the Holy Spirit."
14. Prayer to St. Michael and our Guardian Angels:
"St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen."
"Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen."
15. Pause for silent, personal prayer. This should last at least five minutes.
16. Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
"Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!
"Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock."
17. Daily Prayers. All members should say the Holy Spirit prayer daily and make the act of consecration daily. They should also pray the rosary each day. They are encouraged to use the other above prayers as time allows.
